Dear Zimbalist family,
May his spirit live on in each of you . As it will live on in the memories of the American people for the contribution he brought to TV and other area's of media.
But the highlight of my years was remembering his engaging voice to read the BIBLE ON TV programs.
What a timely man to embrace America's GOD . WHOM WE call JESUS CHRIST and for all the Israelite people HIS Hebrew name was YESHUA . THE anointed ONE and Messiah GOD sent to Israel by the WILL OF GOD !
Mr. Zimblist we loved and appreciate the man of character you were . And your presence in America will be greatly missed .
GOD LOVE YOU AND now you are in the presence of the KINGDOM OF GOD !
Shalom, hugs and prayers to all,
My mother and I would watch your dad on TV faithfully. He was just so handsome and we loved his voice. May your family be at peace.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. I enjoyed 77 Sunset Strip and it was great seeing him on Remington. Steel. May God. Bless
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
A great actor who played in many great movies and TV shows. He will be missed.
To the Zimbalist family: I am keeping you in my prayers, your dad was such a caring man -- I wrote to him twice in the last 4 months, most recently 4 weeks ago, asking him to autograph some memorabilia. To my utter surprise, he signed all three pieces for me and sent them back to me in two days! Ironically, I rec'd the pictures on my birthday, April 1st -- this was by far the best highlight of my life -- I could not believe that he would take his precious time to do that for a BIG fan, I grew up watching him and following his career. One piece of memorabilia, was a program of the Beethoven Association, dated:
12-18-33 -- I can only image this brought a smile to his face as he signed it and thumbed through the program -- and remininced about his father playing his famous concerts at the Town Hall in NY, NY. I shall for ever be so grateful for his loving kindred spirit and the contribution he made to all his adoring fans. I am sure he got a chuckle, at age 95 knowing that he still had adoring fans. I shall forever miss him -- as you will --- God bless your family and may GOD wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you at this time. I am sure GOD has another magnifcent music force with the last of the famous Zimbalists' trio, singing, playing violin and piano. He was such an articulate dresser! I have the complete DVD collection of the FBI -- I never tire of watching him -- I know he will always get the bad guy with the first shot! In my opinion, he is by far, one of the great Hollywood treasures! May his memory live within our hearts forever! He had class! With my deepest sympthany, PKW - South Carolina
He lives on in the hearts of all of his fans. We were blessed just as his family was blessed.
I'll miss my Seventy Seven Sunset Strip guy. I grew up watching Efrem, all my life. His daughter, Stephanie, is an acting delight also. Efrem, like John Forsythe was a nice looking leading man, not to mention, an interesting actor. Sure am going to miss him, too! Well, there goes another part of my past. Seems like they are passing away too fast!
Loved watching him as a young woman and older woman. wonderful person.
Deepest sympathy to your son and daughter; they are a credit to you. That is the highest praise a man can have. I am certain people around you cared what you thought about them because they thought so much of you. May we all live such decent lives. Your spirit lives on, sir.
My thoughts & prayers go out to the Zimbalist fanily, friends and fans.
My condolences to the family, fans and friends. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard your hearts.
What a joy he was in my life. No matter what the character he played Efrem always seemed at one with him. Handsome and smart; what a combination. Rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
As an avid movie/TV viewer, I have always had the highest regard for Mr. Zimbalist's career. As a kid I started with his TV roles: suave Stu Bailey on '77' (he truly was the best in the cast); but most memorably as 'The FBI's Inspector Erskine, a man of humanity, bravery and honor. I'm glad the Bureau finally gave Mr. Zimbalist his shield. He deserved it a long time ago. If a TV Hall of Fame existed, Lewis Erskine would be there right along with David Janssen's Richard Kimble, Vic Morrow's Sgt Saunders and Peter Falk's Columbo. Once in a great while, an actor seems to have been born to play a character and you can't envision anyone else in the role. When watching an FBI DVD, I am reminded of how great Mr. Zimbalist was in that iconic role. I mean that from my heart. He is and always will be on my 'A' team.
God Bless the Zimbalist family.
May his light sign forever!
To the family of Efrem Zimbalist Jr. You were blessed with a wonderful man as Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. We were blessed with his talent. He was one great actor, had a fantastic voice and was handsome to boot! May God be with each one of you and meet each of your own special needs during this time. I am extremely sorry for your loss!
I loved listening to him quote Bible verses on the TBN Network. He had such a strong voice and a humble spirit for the kingdom of God, i looking forward to meeting him in The New Jerusalem!
Was very sad to hear he passed away he was one of my favorite actors and I had a crush on him years ago. I loved 77 sunset strip and the FBI. Sorry to the family he will be missed.
Grew up in the 60's. Watched the FBI, every week. Loved airplanes, so remember the Airport series of movies. Years later, seen "The Crowded Sky" weird to see that he was in the smaller plane in that movie. Very sorry for your loss.
I enjoyed both TV series in which Mr. Zimbalist starred but most of all I loved listening to him read the scriptures. He will be greatly missed.

Thanks for sharing "The Word". You are missed, but we'll meet again. Sympathy to your family.....
As a little girl, I remember watching 77 Sunset Strip. Everyone was in love with "Cookie", but I found Mr. Zimbalist handsome. He was always a pleasure to watch. Thank you for your service to your country, earning you a Purple Heart. Too bad Hollywood didn't look up to you and the other patriots of our country more. May you rest in peace. Condolences to your family, who were very proud of you and loved you. You will be missed.

Thanks for your good work. You entertained many.
Loved him in the FBI; A Quinn Martin production.
Mr. Zimbalist was the best example of the words class and humility Hollywood ever had. He always gave his all in every role he played, but I am sure the two roles he would want to be remembered by would be those of a great Christian and family man. The lights in this old world became much dimmer with the lost of this gracious man, but Heaven has become so much brighter.
Thank you for your gift of acting. I will never forget your incredible talent. God bless you and your family and loved ones ~ Rest in peace.
Mr. Zimbalist was a great actor he will surely be missed may God grant Mr. Zimbalist family and friends comfort during this time of sorrow. Isiah 25:8
Long life and doing what we love to do is very rewarding. A life full of excitement and adventure makes for happy times. When we lose a loved one it can make happiness fade. Remembering the good times and the good things about our loved one can bring it back. May thoughts of love and peace surround your whole family. (Heb 11:35)
I loved watching the FBI when I was a young girl. I always wished I could have him as my "boyfriend" when I grew up. One of those young girl crushes when it came to TV stars. I have of course passed that era. I am sending my deepest condolences to the family. Lean on each other and God and you will find comfort.
Those were the golden days of television. He was the best.I'm so glad he had such a wonderful and long life, but it is never long enough. God bless you Mr. Zimbalist
He will be greatly missed. We offer our deepest sympathies to the family. As you remember his full life, may it bring smiles to your faces and comfort to your hearts. God is a refuge and strength - Psalms

It is a great comfort to know that he is in the loving hands of His Heavenly Father. When your father entered the Lord's Heavenly Kingdom, he welcomed him by saying to him, "Well done good and faithful servant".

May God comfort the family and help them to rejoice for He is now safe in his heavenly home.
