To the Family of Eric Lawson,
I am so sorry for the loss of Eric,
It was very encouraging to see that he was an advocate to help people to stop smoking and that he quit himself.
May the family continue to love and comfort one another at this difficult time and may you find comfort from our Creator who is the God of tender mercy and all comfort.

To my "Co-star" buddy in Tall Tale. We were instant friends from the outset. The photos we took of each other in character on the set at the Disney Ranch are still some of my favorites. Mine hangs in my acting gallery. Great memories of the short time we had together. I was very sorry to hear of your passing. You were SO much more than just the Marlboro Man to so many of us. We will all remember you fondly as Eric...and The Sheriff in Tall Tale, even on the cutting room floor!
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

if there ever was a reason not to smoke cigarettes this is it. I was saddened to hear of the passing of the Marlboro man. people need to realize just what a nasty habit smoking is. I hope and pray that our dear lord will shower his blessings and comfort to Eric's family at this sad time.
"Happy are those who morn, since they will be comforted" Matt 5:4. Happiness comes, not from death, but from the comfort and hope that only God can give. May you find that comfort.
Thanks for the memories. You always made Christmas extra special.
My deepest condolences to Mr.Lawson's family on his passing. I wish to acknowledge the important impact his words against smoking have made. I only wish my own father would have listened-he passed away 17 yrs. ago from pancreatic cancer. I have never smoked a day in my life, yet being subjected to years of second-hand smoke has left me also with C.O.P.D. It's very true that nothing else really matters if you can't breathe! To me, Mr.Lawson will always be a hero to me for he stood up to two giant industries-the Hollywood machine, as well as the tobacco industry! May your family take great comfort knowing he rests pain-free now among the angels!
We all loved you Rick. Thank you for being my brother.
See you soon, Love Micky
