May God comfort you in your time of greif. Loosing a young child is very difficult to cope. Especially someone as special as Erik.
But God is the the source of mercy and the one who comforts and strengthens us in our hardships. He does this sothat when others need our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them the same comfort he has given us. (2Cor 1:3,4)
Erik is no longer suffering from his disease, but now sleeping in death. May his memories live with you forever and bring you comfort every time you think of him in is "Electron Boy" costume.
Please know that others are mourning the loss of Erik with you.

God Bless Electro Boy, the story of this young man has touch my heart. With all he has dealt with, his only wish was to help others. If that isn't a noble gesture of someone, i dont know what is. If EVERYONE in this world was more like young Mr. Erik "Electron Boy" Martin it would be a much better place. We can all learn a lot from this young man.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Erik wanted to 'help' people. No doubt his story has helped in ways he never could imagine and hopefully will be paid forward in countless ways. He will remain in God's memory until the time period after all wickedness on this earth is removed, and he will be awakened from his 'nap' - resurrected to an earthly paradise where there will be no more mourning, nor outcry, nor pain...then he can live the life originally intended by our Creator. His (foster)parents can, and should, be proud of the selfless individual they nurtured - he obviously learned by their example.
God blessed this earth with an Angel. Now that special angel is with him. I know that God must have his arms wrapped tightly around him right now telling him how proud he is in how he found his battles on this earth. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.

What a special young person put here on this earth to bring people together to offer their help and support to many other special children. You are indeed a "Super Hero" to many.
God bless the caring family that raised you and loved you for the short time that you were on this earth. Please know that he is your "Guardian Super Hero" and will watch over you for the rest of your life, just as you watched over him. The world is a better place because her was here.
What an inspiration this young man is. I know he was a blessing to his family in his short life.

My wife and I have 3 birth daughters and adopted 2 boys when they were in high school.The youngest son is 14 about Erik's age. I understand the type of love it takes to adopt a foster child. My wife was a CPS social worker and tried hard to find homes for children who the world had abondoned. May God bless in this time of bereavement and hold you in the palm of His hand. I know you have been left many memories that will enrich your lives forever.

A true Super Hero is not someone with special powers. Anyone who is bulletproof can stand up against danger. Erik (as I've just come to know) was the opposite. He had fewer powers than the rest of us, but he chose to think about the wel being of others. Now THAT is a Super Hero!

The whole world suffers when we loose someone with this much grace and motivation. As a parent of a chronically ill child, as I read Eriks story to my daughter, she lit up like a Christmas Tree due to the fact that someone took the time to get his dream started and so many people worked together to make it a reality. God Bless all who helped this young man and my deepest admiration and respect to his foster family. While I know the pain is unbearable now but believe that Erik is in the arms of the angels and they will work to make sure other children will have a better chance at life and living out their dreams. In remembrance of a young "champion" named Erik who today taught me these important lessons - (1) never lose your IMAGINATION because it gives us the future, (2) never lose your HEART as it gives us people to love and they in turn love us back and (3) never lose the MEMORIES of those that touch our lives just by being them "self" and being in the world. The Make a Wish Foundation and all the volunteers made a little boy's dream come true, and now as we gaze upon the stars we know that Erik is running amongst them "fast" and doing all the things he always wished to do!May a cure for all cancers be found, nobody especially a child should have to endure the evil that this disease brings.
