As a kid growing up in the Inner-City back when TV was good and clean, I'm forever greatful for the memories of you and all those who made me laugh, and made life a whole lot better. Rest well sir and thanks for your service to our nation.

God bless this great man. A truly wonderful actor in the truest sense. Of the veteran stars I believe he is the last of Henning's stellar core cast. I am sad to learn of his passing but now he is reunited with all of the gang and his beloved wife and parents. He was superb in everything and a master as Sam Drucker. Magic preserved on film forever.

I hope you are having a great day and a party with all your friends loved ones and especially your beloved wife you so much missed. I keep singing that special little tune from "Petticoat Junction"........Tina

To (the other) Frank Cady...............You too capture the essence of your Uncle Bud.(I never knew his nickname) He sure had some good family values, and seemed to share himself with all, what a gift.....I can see he was very special to you. How more special can it get than to be named after him......We are so lucky to have been raised with those values and all that great, fun, and clean TV. I can't get enough of the old funny shows. Thank God for reruns..........Tina

We lost three classy actors in the last couple of months. Frank Cady, Andy Griffith and Ernest Borgnine. Makes me feel a little sad losing people that I grew up with. I dearly loved all their characters. Frank Cady gave you the feeling that he was a total gentleman. I just wish I had a couple of beers with him while he told his stories. My condolences to the Cady family. Rest in Peace with your wife and family in Heaven Frank. And thank you for giving us Sam Drucker. I'll see you on TV Land.
July 03, 2012
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Thank you so very much for the joy you brought us.
June 30, 2012
I loved ur character. U will b truly miss. RIP!!!!!!!
June 29, 2012
Tina (6-28), I of course don't know you but you capture the essence of my Uncle Bud. Always a smile, some wit and exuding happiness whether on the phone, in person, via email, or in the old days by letter from he and Shirl. Having myself arranged the sort of care you appear to have provided, you and your peers are angels. You not only provide a great service but, as I see you have, you get emotionally attached-and that can't be helped. Thank You.

Uncle Bud-you are already greatly missed by me and scores of people here in the Susanville area. You left a positive inpression on them whether they personally knew you like Henry who has joined you or those what met you only once when you occasionally were here or just because of media. You are now reunited with family and friends. Say hello for me, especially to Dad and Mom. See you soon (but not too soon!) Love, the other FC
June 28, 2012
My deepest sympathy to Mr Cady's family & friends. What a joy to know he joined us here in the beautiful northwest! I simply cannot imagine my life without "Sam Drucker" in it. What a loss for all of us. Thank you for sharing him with us.
June 28, 2012
Mr. Cady lived a long and accomplished life, and his family and fans should be proud of his distinguished acting career on shows like Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, and his occasional appearances on The Beverly Hillbillies, not to mention his role on Ozzie and Harriet. Sleep well Frank, you're gone but will never be forgotten.
June 27, 2012
I too look back on the fond memories of Franks appearances on television and in the movies. Little did I know that the last 20 plus years of his life he lived just a few miles from me. Had I known I certainly would have looked him up. We all feel the loss.
June 26, 2012
Dear Family of Frank Cady,
My heart is so heavy and sad for your great loss. Frank was very special to me.I spent many hours with him in his last days. I watched over him many nights on the midnight shift till the wee hours of the morning. No matter what was going on, or how he was feeling, in the middle of the night, he always had a ready smile from ear to ear and a big "HELLO TINA" with that great voice. I think I worked for him just to hear his voice. He was sharp as a tack until the end. What a thrill it was to spend that time with him surrounded in all the Petticoat Junction/Green Acres memoriblia. It was magical being in his presence.
I am so sorry to see you go Frank, I guess it is time to lock up the store and get some much needed rest. I will miss you, you were so special.....Tina XOXO

Sam Drucker, what can I say, rest in peace brother.
I look exactly like Sam Drucker and some call me Sam although I act like Bee.
Gotta love the general store, Mayberry and Hooterville.
I run a general store in New Jersey and my resemblance to Sam Drucker is amazing.
Some have pictures (in archives) of me at the general store.
Sam, you will always have a place in my heart along with Aunt Bee.

Frank was my patient for a few of his latter years @ Tualatin Medical Center and his last years were at Charboneau in Wilsonville , the farm that I grew up. So you might say we had some common ties in his latter years.

I fondly remember his commanding voice, the many talks we had, he provided me some vidio of later performance......O yes I did attend his medical needs at that time!

I will always remember his voice!!

Untill we meet again, keep attending the Store......

June 12, 2012
RIP Sam Drucker...thanks for the laughs and special memories. Just good clean fun. Surely miss those days. God bless your family.
June 12, 2012
EVERYONE my age watched Green Acres. It was one of the best shows on TV. We will never see clean shows like that again. And Mr. Cady's Sam Drucker was one of the best on the show. At least like Eddie Albert he lived a good long life.
Not even worth watching TV anymore. Nothing but reality shows which are so stupid and I think are staged. Fake. Alot of smut on.
Give me Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie any day. THOSE were the good shows.
Imagine a pig named Arnold was alot better than the actors and shows on TV now!

My Deepest Sympathy to Frank Cady's family.

June 12, 2012
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

June 11, 2012
In only a small part, he did a touching job playing the murdered little boy's father coming to pick up his intoxicated wife in The Bad Seed. It's unfortunate that this fine actor didn't get many more chances to show his fine acting talents in heavier roles.

FAMILY/FRIENDS OF FRANK CADY:
MAY THE FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN MATTHEW 5:4.
FRANK WAS AN EXCELLENT CHARACTER
ACTOR THAT ENHANCED ETHICS/MORAL VALUES
IN PETTICOAT JUNCTION AND GREEN ACRES :
HE WAS THE LEVEL-HEADED AND BELOVED
CHARACTER THAT I COULD IDENTIFY WITH..HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A WELCOME FRIEND AND CITIZEN IN MY NEIGHBOORHOOD.
SINCERE PRAYERS, SYMPATHY, AND REGRETS: B. HARRELL AND FAMILY
June 11, 2012
I watched all of the "Hooterville" shows as kid way before we had a color TV. I remember that none of the characters Frank Cady played were ever married or had children.
I also tried to figure out which state Hooterville was supposed to be in.
Later episodes of "Beverly Hillbillies" mentioned Tennessee. I always thought of one of the Carolinas.
I do not remember any non-white charactors or actors.
Another many character actor, Vitto Scotti, portrayed stereotyped Asian and Hispanic characters on many sitcoms, but not any Black or Native American to my memory.
June 11, 2012
frank you were to nice and sweet my heart and soul goes out to your famliy i will pray very hard to see the light of the lord rip now god is with you now and for ever
June 11, 2012
I think the greatest gag was where is Hooterville located? Being from east central Illinois I remember a road on the north side of Toledo IL that looked just like the road in the opening of the Green Acres series. But then we had no Hooterville Cannonball and no valley. I think it was left unstated so that all of us could think we grew up in the vicinity of Hooterville.

I could never tell whether Eddie Albert or Frank Cady was the best straight man on these wonderful classic comedies. They were both such classic gentlemen.

Thank you, Mr Cady, for the wonderful memories of growing up in such a innocent time in our country. I doubt if we'll ever see again such a gifted character actor.

May the peace that passes all understanding keep the hearts and minds of the Tuck family in Christ Jesus.
June 11, 2012

June 11, 2012
Although so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing, I'm thinking many in Heaven are welcoming Home "a friend". You should be so proud of his career. From everything I remember him in, besides being an excellent actor, he was also one of integrity. That says a lot about an actor - especially these days. I feel, like I'm sure many do, that I just lost a friend. But believing God's promises - look forward to seeing him "for real" one day. God bless and keep you all. And thank you for "sharing" him with all of us.

Just one of many - who've enjoyed watching a fine actor at his craft.

Frank Cady was a great actor. With him, George Lindsey, Don Knotts and so many actors from that era passing, America has lost some great treasures. The quality of their acting, the genuine humor, along with the family values portrayed in their programs, will be missed. I'm thankful that the episodes will probably continue to run, but I lament the fact that the current breed of actors can't compare. Rest in peace Frank Cady.
June 11, 2012
