Dear Mr. Gross, I am so sorry to hear of your passing. We were the couple who brought our two 170 lb mastiffs in your little elevator to your home for the senior photo shoot. That was a very interesting day. I will never forget that puffer thing LOL. You were a very good host and very very kind. Sad when dog lovers leave the world. Our mastiffs inspired us to start rescuing and rehoming many many dogs now. Our mastiffs have passed as well but they will always be in our hearts and we are sure we will see them again and that beautiful picture you took will live on forever. Thank you so much and thank you so much more for caring about dogs. Please give our girls a big sloppy kiss for us.

Garry, I loved you and miss you more that I can ever say. You were such a wonderful friend, so generous and kind. Like a big teddy bear. You will always be in my heart.

I was a close friend of Garry's. I was shocked to learn of his passing. I own the photo lab that produced much of his work. If his dream was to produce a show of the older dogs he photographed, I can really help. Please email me at I send my love and sympathy to his family and friends!

Surely there is a place of grace and peace reserved for such a caring man. He gave the world beauty, through his photography. Best of all, he gave the world compassion, which is sorely needed. I never knew him, but I will miss him. RIP Mr. Gross

Who will take care of the beautiful Pug in the photograph of Garry? I have a 9yr. old female pug, Ashley AnnaEna, whom I love with all that I am. I am in North Carolina, limited funds, but if someone wants to get that pug to me I will love him/her until his/her natural death. I am a Registered Nurse and I watch my Pug closely. She is never outside without my presence. She sleeps with me, spends 100% of her time in my presence. My condolences to Garry's family and may you know that the energy in each atom of his body is eternal. That energy has been transferred to other objects/persons and will live on. I wrote a piece of prose about our energy that is released at death. Garry will visit you in a warm, Spring rain one day.

My condolences go out to a great artist and his family. To a man who never let what the world thought get in the way of his work, and a human being who truly stood up for what he believed in. May his name and his works linger on in immortality beyond his mortal body. May his soul rest in piece and his family know that all is well.

Please publish the photos of senior dogs. I'm sure they are inspiring. Those poor animals continue to need a champion. Garry would approve. My heartfelt sympathy.
