You and the other will always be remembered. I was just a kid watching the launch in our history class we all were heartbroken and sad I know we might not be related but we share the last name Jarvis rest in peace my friend
God bless you Greg you are with heavenly father now sue
A true American hero. RIP Sir.
He was my third cousin.Because of his death I never got to meet him.
In Hermosa Beach, CA, on the Strand, there are a couple of palm tress, a bench, and a tile mural dedicated to the Challenger and its crew. Greg Jarvis and his bike are in there, since he used to ride his bike along that stretch of ocean. I once lived there, and many times I stopped at that bench, looked at the faces in ceramic, remembering the day I heard the news, where I was, what it felt like. And in later years I have often taken my children to see the memorial, to teach them why it mattered. Thank you, Greg, and all of your team, for reaching for the stars so we could touch them too.
