I have re-discovered "To Kill A Mockingbird" and it has toched my heart because of Gregory Peck's tremendously moving and compassionate portrayal. He has always, to me, come across as a kind, empathetic man of integrity and a strong sense of what is right and fair. He is missed. There is no one like him and it is not only film's loss, it is the world's loss as well.
What an actor, what a voice. God, please continue to bless and watch over the Peck family. To kill a Mockingbird, one of the best movies ever made.

WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Greg, you were a class act and one of the greatest film stars of all time. Your great physical and inner beauty, plus your amazing voice, will never be forgotten.
HE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS. I LOVED IN ALL OF THE WESTERN MOVIES. YOU WILL CERTAINLY BE MISSED
GREGORY PECK WAS A TRUE MAN THRU THE YEARS OF HIS LIFE. DEAR WONDERFUL ACTOR OF MOVIES HE STARRED IN ESPECIALLY FOR "THE GUNS OF NAVARONE". I SHALL TREASURED THE MEMORY OF ALL OTHERS YOU ALSO MADE. YOU SURELY SHALL BE MISSED SO DEARLY.
Dear Mr. Peck,
I was sad to hear about your passing. You were a great actor and I loved your movies. When I worked at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys as a radiology transcriber, I transcribed your spine x-ray. I went to the floor you were on and found that you were already discharged. I was thrilled to have transcribed your x-ray report. You will always be missed.
To the Peck family I give my condolences.
At the time of his death, one of the news magazines published a wonderful remembrance of Mr. Peck. It ended with a paraphrase from "To Kill a Mockingbird" after he'd lost his case and the court had emptied except for the 2nd floor gallery still filled with the black residents of that little Southern town. As he began to walk down the aisle to leave, an old patriarch nudged Atticus' daughter Scout and said, "Stand up, your father's passin'"
Gregory Peck made you want to stand up!
Cecilia, Somehow after watching the documentary you did on your dad last night, I think you periodically would check on his guest book, just for one more comment on that special man. I know he has been gone several years, our memories of him will live on forever. I just wanted to tell you that scene in which he holds your son in the hospital touched my heart so. He didn't need to speak at all....you could look into his eyes and see all the emotions he was feeling. What a grandpa that little fellow had. I hope you, your mom and the other children are doing well.
Gregory Peck was a great actor and a great human being. The last two Good Friday's (2007 & 2008) I attended services at Our Lady of Angels Cathedral, then afterwards I pay my respects to Gregory Peck who is interned at the mausoleum below the Cathedral. Rest in Peace Gregory! Your legacy lives on !

I'm sitting here watching a documentary on Gregory Peck view the clips of various times in his and his families life. I am now 47 years of age and am still moved at the sight of this great man. I grew up an avid film buff. I miss the days of Gregory Peck and those wonderful movies that told the tales of times before me. The Guns of Navarrone - To Kill a Mocking Bird - Gentlemen's Agreement films that had a story, a moral display of human kindness, morality, intergrity, principal, lessons of life and love - we took those characters and words and incorporating those into who we are today. I can't help but to watch this docuentary and my eyes filling with the sadeness and I can't stop the tears from running down the checks of my face as I remember the memories and feelings evoked from this great and wonderful man. We didn't just lose a great actor but a great human being and humanitarian and icon of goodness and righteousness. I guess people would just few me as a silly fan but it was those people like Gregory Peck that made a mark on the world and impressions on millions and generations that come after him and all those great entertainers who helped to shape the generations ahead. I only wish to express my great sadness and sorrow to the Peck family not only did you lose a great man but a great father. God Bless you all.
Adoring fan Stella Bell
Gregory Peck was America's answer to Olivier, his acting was impeccable, he was a pleasure to watch what ever genre of film he acted in. I will miss his skills always. He was such a great actor, and To Kill a Mockingbird, was his best film ever, words cannot describe his portrayal in this and his many other films, a true GREAT.
Sadly missed, RIP.
Mr. Peck's performance in "To Kill A Mockingbird" changed my own life. He was truly a great man.
My mum who is now 82yrs young adored Gregory, I think he is just as wonderful, utterly hansome, i could look and listen to him for hours...
I got to know Greg Peck when he came to speak in Ann Arbor in 1999. His father, of the same name, had graduated here ( U of M) in 1909 and been a member of the 1909 basketball team and a 'reserve' on the 1908 football team. I got Greg a xerox copy of a picture of his father on the football squad ( I am the world's leading expert on U of M football history) which he had never seen, leaving it at the hotel I figured he would be at, with a note and business card. The next afternoon his secretary called me up and asked where I had gotten the picture, could he get a nice copy of the picture, I said of course, then she said-thrill of thrills-- "Just a minute, Mr. Peck would like to speak to you" . He said "Hello, this is Greg Peck speaking" we talked, I told him about his father's coming back to campus not long before his death in 1962. Greg asked me if I was going to hear his talk at the Power Center for the Arts that night, I said I was going to meet a beautiful blonde german woamn a little later that evening nearby, he said " maybe you could get her to come earlier to my show ?" I replied that I probably couldn't get tickets, he said "Don't worry, there'll be tickets in your name at the Box Office--and maybe we could meet backstage-". I called up Andrea and said "I just got off the phone with my pal, Gregory Peck" she said "Get out of here"--and we made a mad scramble to get to the show on time ( first I had to stop at Kaliedascope Bookstore in Ann Arbor to buy some old Life Mags with Greg on the cover) and got the the show on time, Greg left us the best seats in the house. After the show we headed backstage, there was a huge line, I mentioned my name to the guard holding them all back, he said "MacGregor--this way" at the next post the guard yelled "MacGregor's coming thru"we got to his room and had a great time, he was every inch the gentleman. He talked( It was my first date with this great looking German Woman)with us for 15 minutes while everyone else had to stand and watch. I gave him an extra copy of his Dad's Michigan yearbook, he turned right to a page with a picture of his father on it, Andrea said " He looks just like you!" Greg signed some Life Magazines from 1947 and 1950 with his picture on the cover for us,finally we had to leave, Greg kissed Andrea's hand and said "Andrea, you are everything Bob said you would be" and we left, I told Andrea "Don't expect little treats like this all the time" she said "What did you tell him about me?" I said I was bringing along this beautiful blonde German Woman with the best legs in the midwest", She said she could handle that. Not bad having Gregory Peck put in a good word for you on your first date, eh?
Later Greg sent her flowers, and would call me up at work and chat, I mailed him stuff about his father's Michigan days here.He was facing his own mortality and wanted to find out more about his father's early days. He was a great guy, just like you would expect from his movies, 'Lincolnesque' is the most accurate way to describe him. This story has been written up twice in SGI publications, once in 1999, again not long after 'Greg' died.
Greg, you are sadly missed by any and all who came to know you by your talent and sweet smile. I shall remember you always, betty, chicago

My deepest sympathy to the family. I just recently lost my mother (81), and I know the pain you are going through. Mr. Peck was and always will be one of my favorite actors. God Bless You!
Gregory Peck's innate goodness shone on the screen like a beacon. I have a copy Of Roman Holiday, which I love to watch because it shows what a true man is, one who does not take advantage of others. May his family feel blessed to know that Mr. Peck was so beloved and respected by many others. There will never be another actor like him!
To The Peck Family May God Bless You
During Your Time Of Sadness Rest in peace Mr. Peck.
"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what."
Thanks, Atticus. I, too, have my little Scout whom I love dearly. Your personal and professional conflicts in To Kill A Mockingbird occur in my daily life as a husband, father and attorney. Your presence will be missed. Your performance will be cherished forever.
To the Family of Gregory Peck may God bless you.
To the family of Mr. Gregory Peck, i am praying for you
Mr. Peck, as a child I fell in love with your look, and your talent after watching, "To Kill A Mockingbird Bird." I thought who is this white man so kind, so fine, who appeared to be a great dad willing to lose it all for this black man? I was about 9-10 yrs old when I saw that movie, and because of you I got hooked on old movies a.k.a. classics.
Anytime I'd see your name I'd watch the movie no matter how often my friends would say that old movie.
You have given me great joy and pleasure through my life, and I hope your family can truly understand what your talent really meant to the public.
I betcha' didn't know how loved you are by African Americans viewers, but maybe you did. You were/is a class act that seem to have embodied what God says...love in spite of. Rest In Peace, Mr. Peck, for you have been a class act.
You will be missed, rest in peace.
Thankyou Gregory for the letter you sent me a few years ago. I will treasure it forever. My sincere condolences to Gregory's family. Love always xoxoxoxox
American living in Asia,I was sad to learn of Mr.Peck's passing. He was in a class of his own.No star of today will ever have the intergity or the honor he has in portraying chararcters in a film.He became the character and the character became him.I first saw his movie with my dad in our home in the late 60's.I'm 42 years old now.My father passed away on Feb 16th and now Mr. Peck join my father and mother. Most people never get to be a star.I'm sure if he wasn't a movie star.He would of been a star in anything he would tried to do.He was more than a legend but a human being who saw above all the Hollywood drugs and sex stuff. He was a great man in my book.He will live forever in film.
May God give you peace now my brother.
Gregory Peck is perhaps, the most favorate US movie star admired by many Chinese people! His name and movies will long live in our heart!
Dear Gregory Peck,
You are the uncle I've always wanted to have.
You're the most decent actor I've ever seen on screen. A quintessential gentleman. You exuded a quiet strength that was so,... comforting.
How I wish I had met you, known you.
In short, you're the man I wish I could be, even for a moment.
Thank you Mr. Peck, for gracing this earth.
Hope you're at peace and smiling that enigmatic, pleasant-as-pleasant-can-be smile of yours, wherever you are.
A real star that will flash upon us who love him from the film screen or from the Heavens. A real gentleman that will never be forgotten.
CLASS...CLASS..CLASS...Will be missed like a part of family...
It took me along time, but one day I figured out that if the name "Gregory Peck" was listed on the credits, then that was the movie I was going to watch.
Gregory Peck was a great actor, some of the roles was so very real I feel he wasn't playing a part; but living his life. He will be missed.
Gregory Peck was one of THE BEST ACTORS OF ALL TIME. He will be missed by all. My condolences to his family.
Know that you will be loved forever -
you will be missed terribly.
Greg, I remember a little of the
filming of 'Beloved Infidel' with
Deborah Kerr and the sadness she
went through at about that time
in England with her children and
her divorce . . .
You are in a class of your own,
rest in peace !
My Deepest condolences to the family of Gregory Peck. i have always had two favorites. Mr. Peck and Spencer Tracy. Gregory Peck was the best performer i have ever seen on the screen. May he rest in Peace
He was a favorite of mine; the man who always did the right thing.
I was heart broken to know that Mr. Gregory Peck was gone. He will be missed.I know there isn't another actor with more class.GOD BLESS YOU!
To The family and friends of Gregory Peck. We were sorry to hear of your loss. Gregory did a stellar performance as Atticus Finch which made "To Kill A Mockingbird" one of our favorite movies among others
we hope that the following poem will be of some comfort to each of you.
By; Charles G. Turner, Sr.
When our earthly life is gone
It goes into an eternal rest
Because our time here on earth has been justly spent
To our life here on earth we’re born
After this we learn to deal with toils and strife
When our life ‘s work on earth is done
It’s God’s will and he says ‘well done”
When we’re in our eternal rest
After living our earthly best
God has taken us from our earthly trials and pain
Then we go to our eternal rest and gain
I will always remember you, a kiss from Spain...
~a tear streams down her blushed cheek~
Till we meet again!
My heart utterly sinks with an all-consuming grief at this news.
In my life there are few individuals that I can say had as deep an influence on my being. As a young man I had the great fortune to see Mr. Peck in one of his defining roles as an actor, in the classic film, To kill a Mockingbird. At a time when the issues embraced by the story line of this film were seen by many as inflammatory, others shied away from the role as simply to controversial. Gregory Peck did not. To his credit he established the character so very well that all who saw this film at the time were taken aback with the clarity that he brought to these issues of , prejudice, deception, stereotypical labeling of the handicap, racial tension and distrust, and were very daring subject mater of that day. To say these ideas were pivotal in my life and character is to be an understatement to the extreme. Would we only see his portrayal as a romanticism of a fictional character? Yes, if Gregory Peck himself did not go on to exemplify these principles of Fairness, Equality under the law and Justus throughout his remaining life. Could another actor have played the part with the same conviction and intensity? Perhaps, but I feel there are times when all the things are right with the universe to bring about just the right persons, just the right medium, and just the right message. To me, this time, this man, and this message were destined to become!
Gods speed Mr. Gregory Peck. You will be sorrowfully missed.
Gone but never forgotten truly an under statement. Your part in Moby Dick inspired me to read the book making it one of my favorite movie and novel classics of all times. I've also admired you in To Kill A Mockingbird. I have shared these classics with my kids and find that they enjoy them too. You leave a legacy behind for generations to enjoy. You will always be remembered. I love you Mr. Peck. Thank You for all of the treasures you have given us forever more. :-)
May you rest in peace. My son is in CA "trying" to become a ROLE model like you. You are one of the few who have always led the way for young aspirants like my son, Bill to emulate. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and may you reach down from heaven above and guide my son in your footsteps.
Until we meet in heaven, I will keep you in my daily prayers.
Peace, love and joy,
4 Sheffield Rd.
Nashua, NH 03062
A great actor--way ahead of his time. There has not and will not be another movie as great as "GONE WITH THE WIND" and of course there will not ever be an actor as great as Mr.Gregory Peck.
God Bless you, on your final performance, for the King of Kings; our Lord. We will miss you. Love, Ms. Mickey Gutierrez and family
God bless you in heaven for all the wonderful life you brought into everyones hearts and minds. Thank you for being a part of our lives. God bless you, and best regards to the Peck family at this time of sorrow. May you always feel a comfort in the knowledge that he touched and inspired all of us.
Mr. Gregory Peck will be missed all over the world. He has aspired to be one of the truely great actors of our times. I grew up with two of the truly great classics, To Kill a Mockenbird, and Moby Dick. But the list goes on of the truly great films that Mr. Peck has stared in such as The Boys from Brazeal. May Gods love and mercy be with the Peck family at there time of greaf and sadness.
I met Mr. Peck , his wife and son at the movie premier "MacArthur" here in Dallas. I was his chauffeur for the event. He was as nice a person you will find. He was reserved and very patient. He was dressed very "Ivy" league as I recall. His family was very nice and gracious. This I will always remember as a class act.
Thank you for your legacy of humanity, a beautiful example of what we all can aspire to. You truly have left the world a better place for having been here.
I skipped a day of high school classes to watch the filming of the original 'Cape Fear' in Savannah and I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the very handsome Gregory Peck, a beautiful Polly Bergen, and a no-nonsense Robert Mitchum during the filming. I wish there had been an opportunity to get their autographs. Whenever I select a movie to watch I always look for the name "Gregory Peck".
Greg, You are truly my idol and have touched my life, my heart and my soul. You will be missed terribly and are such a great loss to this world. Rest in peace and know that you will be loved forever!
Your in a class of your own although you have physically departed this world your memory and films will live until eternity
thank you for the great movies you gave us.
How does one give tribute to such a wonderful actor? You were always one of my favorites, my late grandfather resembled you and in my youth I thought you were my grandfather. I was very young!
Your role as Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird" will always be my favorite. Much can be said about you. Your life and work say it abundantly. And although you're gone, you'll always be with us in spirit and on the silver screen.
My heart and prayers go out to your family and friends in this time of bereavement.
WHAT AN ACTOR! SUCH GRACE! WE ALL ADMIRED GREGORY PECK!! HE WAS SUCH A HANDSOME, PRETTY, CLEAN CUT GENTLEMAN--HE CAN AND WILL NEVER, EVER BE REPLACED! MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND GOD BLESS THE PECK FAMILY.

Offering my deepest condolences to Mrs. Peck and the Peck family.
I am just another ardent fan of Mr. Peck. Gregory Peck truly was my favorite actor of all times. I loved all his films, but the film that especially touched my heart was when he portrayed the priest, 'Francis' in "Keys of the Kingdom". What a wonderful film!
Heaven is lucky to have such a great man. He will be missed by his millions of fans. God Bless!
Gregory Peck was the reason my children loved the stories of Moby Dick and To Kill a Mockingbird. These two characters were just a glimpse of his genius. Heaven just got lucky.
May God give you a resting place until all the Saints of God meet you there. Bless your family, friends, and movie fans.
In my humble opinion Gregory Peck was the best actor to appear in films. His deep commanding voice and presence made each roll he portrayed almost God-like. My deepest condolences to his family.
Gregory Peck was one of my favorite actors. I watched many of his movies, my favorite one was,"To Kill a Mockingbird". My condolences to his family.

If you look up dignified in the dictionary, there will be a picture of Mr. Gregory Peck. R.I.P.
I wiss miss Gregory,Like Jimmy Stewart,no one will be able to come close to replacing him. When they did their movies they had talent and morals that you sure dont see today. They never took life or their fame for granted. They acted because it was an art to them not a way to get attention,Like I said they cannot be replaced,As the world changes so do the actors and their veiws on what acting should be about.Gregory is one of the good guys that cant be replaced. He is an icon of the movie industry.
what a huge legacy of filmwork mr. peck left for future generations to enjoy!
for a class assignment, my daughter jennifer read to kill a mockingbird and proclaimed that it was (and still is) her favorite book. when she saw the movie, she was even more impressed by the stellar performances, especially that of atticus!!! as a result of our shared love of that one outstanding movie, its exceptional cast of characters and its profound messages, she and i are bonded for life.

Gregory Peck will always be Brigadier General Frank Savage to me, the Air Group Commander whose heroic leadership influenced men to push themselves beyond their limits in war. Also wonderful in "The Yearling" and as Atticus Finch, of course. We will miss him.
OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH
THE FAMILY. MR PECK WILL BE MISSED BY ALL.

Lynn - Chicago
To Kill a Mockingbird, Roman Holiday, and Guns of Navarone are some of my most admired movies. I have VCR/DVD of all. I will watch these this weekend. GP was an actor that will never be equaled
He was one of the few actors who I truly enjoyed everything he did. I became a fan of old movies due inpart to him. I give my condolences to his family. He will be missed.
Because my father was killed in the Korean War when I was seven, Gregory Peck became a father figure for me. The traits and values that he modeled in so many of his films, as well as in his life, were taken seriously by me. I have loved him loyally through the years and am truly grieved by his death. He remains a father for me still. God bless his family in their loss.
Praised be Jesus Christ for the life of a great man, Gregory Peck. He was an inspiration to all of us. Yes, Atticus Finch. Who could possibly have done a more superb job in that role? His character is etched in all of our minds and hearts. God bless you as everyone mourns his passing. His reward in heaven is great, I am sure.
I will always remember Gregory Peck as Aticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird." He was an excellent actor and a model human being. He will truly be missed by all.
You will be missed, Prayers to the family.
A great actor that won't be forgotten. My best goes to his family. I will always remember him for all his great works.

My thoughts are with Mr. Peck's family. To me he will always be Atticus Finch and my favorite Gregory Peck movie will always be 'To Kill A Mockingbird.' He will be missed.

With a smile, I remember Atticus Finch - a true SOUTHERN hero in "To Kill A Mockingbird".
He will be missed.
A great man, sorry to see him go.
As my Grandfather would have said "A Good Man Gone".
A great loss to his family and fans. He always presented himself as a gentleman and a classy actor. My most memorable film has always been "To Kill A Mockingbird"..... he gave a powerful & touching performance. It is fitting that his character of Atticus Finch was recently voted the number one hero. He has left many a legendy work behind to be enjoyed and admired by old and new fans alike for a long time to come. My deepest condolences to his family.
he was a great man..loved watching him in movies...very handsome man!
Thanks for the memories.
You live on in your catalogue of
might movies and your work.
To The Peck Family:
How blessed you are to have had such a caring husband, father and grandfather. Mr Peck was one of my favorite actors. He is missed already.
Gloria M. Williams
Thank you for your being such a huge part of my "movie" life.
Your screen roles and contribution
to cinematic history will not be forgotten. Goodbye to the last of the legends.
MY TWO FAVORITE FILMS WERE "TO KILL" & GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT ----YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED
It took a man like Gregory Peck to bring the fictional Atticus Finch to life. He will forever be remembered for his Academy-Award winning performance in that role. He will also be remembered for the award winning way he chose to live his life. Thank you Mr. Peck for setting an example by which men should conduct themselves.
Deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family of a great actor,Gregory Peck."Death is not extinguishing the light but putting out the lamp because the DAWN has come." Mr.Peck's DAWN has come.He is forever in my prayers and his light will always shine..thanks to Re-Runs. One of my favorite movies was "Keys of the Kingdom".He will be surely missed.May He rest in peace !
To Mrs. Peck and the family: Your loss is great, and I pray for God's comfort during this sad time. Please know the public and the acting profession share your feelings of tremendous loss. Mr. Peck was one of our most beloved national treasures, cherished by millions because of his unsurpassed talent, humanity and grace. If Atticus Finch were the only role he had ever played, it alone would have ensured his significant place in history; Atticus was the consummate role and Mr. Peck played him to perfection. Truly, a great man has passed our way and will not be easily replaced. We "tip" our hat as we bid him fairwell!
Gregory Peck embodied on-screen all that America believed was true about itself. His characters (in the main) were decent, fair, noble, gallant, strong, and courageous. Atticus Finch was America's ideal father and quiet crusader for justice. His self-depracation off-screen, his quiet dignity and commitment to just causes only served to reinforce our respect and admiration for this fine actor. Thank you, Mr Peck, for the many wonderful and moving performances you gave us.
With the passing of Gregory Peck is like another chapter in my history book being closed. My mother passed away in September of 1995. She loved all his movies and I was raised on them as well. My children loved his film To Kill a Mocking Bird. (We will miss you)
The Hollywood "stars" of today will never be able to hold a candle to Gregory Peck's generation of real stars. He was my favorite actor my whole life, and he will be sadly missed not only by his family but by his loyal fans. God bless.
Mr. Peck was truly a great actor and person. Hollywood needs more people like him There was a pureness about him that I can't explain. He continues to live in his great film work.
My thoughts and prayers and with you at this time. Mr. Peck was a great actor and will be missed.
To Mr. Peck's family I send my sympathy. I have enjoyed his movies for years and am thankful for reruns. To me he will always be Atticus Finch. I know your personal sadness is great so I hope that knowing that so many others share your grief is comforting.
God Bless your family.

You'll be missed. My sympathy goes out to your family.
I remember as a teenager seeing Mr.Peck late one night in his role as Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mocking Bird" .I became a huge admirer of his work from that moment on.He was an absolute master of his craft and truely a great human being.I am one fan, of thousands, who will truely miss him.
I grew up watching "To Kill A Mockingbird" and it's always been one of my favorite movies. I have two daughters that I told about this movie and at first, they didn't want to watch it because it was and "old black & white" movie. When I finally got them to watch it they absolutely loved it, and Atticus. They now own the book and the DVD. Gregory Peck was truly a one of a kind.
Thanks, for allowing me the opportunities to see a great actor in your many movies, and the sense of value you gave to each roll. You will be missed.
Gregory Peck was a Great Man and Actor, he will be missed.
Mr. Peck portrayed what all men should fashion themselves after -- a true gentleman. He will be remembered always as a great actor and human being.
Today I did something I have never done before. I clipped out the obituary of Gregory Peck from the Atlanta Constitution and tucked it away in my Bible. I have never done that for anyone except family members and the very dearest of friends. I feel Gregory Peck was both to me. Mr.Peck was quite simply the greatest storyteller of my lifetime. I have loved him in movies throughout my life--my favorites are "The Yearling," "Moby Dick," "On the Beach," "Boys from Brazil," "Roman Holiday," "How the West Was Won," and of course, that greatest movie of all time "How to Kill a Mockingbird." Really, all of his movies were my favorites and I never passed on any chance to view anything he ever did. I recently enjoyed the movie his daughter Cecelia Peck had made about his life--giving me the chance to see him at home with children and grandchildren. My deepest sympathy goes to all his family. He was just magnificient and I loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by all. I am so glad that he lived to know that his "Atticus Finch" received the honor of being named the greatest hero of the past century--it was most deserved and I applaud him most genuinely for all the fine performances he gave over his lifetime.
We know movies aren't real but we wanted "Atticus" to be. When I met Gregory Peck several years ago, he was--kind and soft-spoken--the consummate gentleman. Sympathy to the family.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Gregory Peck. He was a great actor, a true hero of his time.
Lean on the only solid rock you know you can count on during your time of sorrow. And this rock is Jesus.

Mr. Peck was always a favorite of the film, even though I was too young to see him make his break I certainly have enjoyed his endearing roles over the years. A job well done for a true Thespian. We will miss you!
you will be missed by all
I grew up watching Mr. Peck on TV in such classic movies as Duel in the Sun & Big Country are two of my favorites. He took great pride in his work because he was great at it. God bless him.
Gregory Peck was not only a wonderful actor, but a man of such integrity. So often people in the public eye fall short of deserving the title "role model" but he did not. What a class act! When I read the story of his life and found out he had lost a son, it made me feel better to know he will now be with him. I have a strong conviction of those things. My high school buddy used to work in a health food store in Santa Monica in the 70's and Mr. Peck was a customer... he was as kind and unassuming in person as you would imagine. I'm so glad we'll have those movies to remember him by. :-)
You have been in movies all my life, you will be missed. My condolences to your family

I have thought of Gregory Peck as my favorite actor for a number of years. After seeing him in "Roman Holiday" and "To Kill A Mockingbird" I couldn't help but feel that way! I had the opportunity to see him several years ago when he was touring the country doing lectures, but I didn't. What a mistake that was! I would have loved to have met him.
What a wonderful actor he was! Rest in peace. God Bless you and yor family. Love,
Mr. Peck was a wonderful actor and a great role model. His talent will live on forever in his work. He will be missed.
Your voice had such a marvelous quality, I would have paid to hear you read the phone book. I hope you are doing roll call in heaven when I get there so I can hear it again. God bless the Peck family.
Gregory Peck will be greatly missed... I shall always picture him on the porch with his children in "Too Kill a Mockingbird!"
Another contemporary gone. Mr. Peck will be sorely missed. He was a giant in the film industry, a true master of his craft.

Once I was asked "If you could choose any leading man to be your Hollywood Grandfather who would it be?" and my first and only answer is Gregory Peck. My heart breaks today. :-(
God Bless, Veronique and Family
I saw Gregory Peck in "The Guns of Navarone" in the late fifties--I was 8 years old. I wrote him a fan letter and a short time later received an autographed B&W picture back from him. I thought of him as my 'boyfriend' and kept the photo under my pillow! I have been a fan of his for all my life.
Mr. Peck's passing is another reminder that life is truly short and fragile. He will always be remembered by me as one of my favorite actors and he will be truly missed. Please accept my condolences.
One of my all time favorites I have seen nearly all of Mr. Pecks movies..I will miss Him
