Thinking about Heath Warner is not difficult. He is an American Hero, who sacrificed his very life for me, and the Freedoms that I celebrate daily. Indeed, this Family has sacrificed so much, and I admire and respect them so much! May our God continue to bless this Family!
The lord needed another Marine to watch the gate, May the lord bless you and keep you, for he has a true believer to ring that bell. horrah!
I was thinking of you today. Someone had asked about heroes and naturally you came to mind. I cherish the memories of youth group and fun times at your house. You always had a kind word and a listening ear. You are missed beyond belief. It doesn't matter how long you've been Home, we all miss you down here. Until we meet again my friend... Xoxo
God Bless the Heath and his the Warner family. I was in boot camp with Warner at Parris Island back in August 2005 to November 2005 and he will be forever remembered. God Bless and stay strong.

Mr and Mrs. Warner,
Just want to extend more sympathy for your loss. It was an honor serving on the funeral detail for your son when I was a young Marine. You do not know the amount of pain it caused laying another brother of mine to rest. I'm very happy to have moved back and seen the continued efforts in the community that you guys are taking. I hope one day to assist in those efforts... SEMPER FI!!!

Thank you Heath for your service and sacrifice for our country. We remain grateful to you, no matter how many years have passed.
Greetings from Colorado -
You may already know, but I wanted to visit and let you know that your son's gravestone is featured on the cover of the Sept 16th issue of The Weekly Standard, in regards to an article about military buglers. I also wanted to know more about this young man, and that led me here. Heath is not forgotten, nor are his brethren who made the final, ultimate sacrifice. God Bless and keep you!
Mr. and Mrs. Warner,
We wanted you to know that we have not forgotten your son and his sacrifice to our nation. We prayed for your family this past Sunday in our worship service. We pray that the Lord will bless and comfort you.

We would like to express our deepest condolences and to also let the Warner Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

Scott & Melissa,
Just wanted you to know that I am remembering the sacrifice of your son Heath, especially during this Memorial Day Weekend!
Blessings to you and your Family!
Recently read the book Gold Star Father by Scott Warner.
We came to know Heath as a loving son and a loving brother, a patriot, a hero, and a man who was deeply loved by all family members. We were very touched and came to know Heath thru the book and understand a small portion of the pain and loss experienced by mom, dad, the brothers, and extended family.
Thank you for writing the book. It was a fitting tribute to Heath.
Read the book written by Heath's dad Scott and saw it as a fine tribute to a loving son, a strong patriot, a loving brother.
We see the loss and the pain and felt as if we entered into a portion of that most personal and very real pain and loss.
Excellent book. Scott, thanks for writing the book. I was touched.
Our only real hope is in the Resurrection and we look forward to the truth of the promises of Jesus

Dear Mr and Mrs Warner. I pray both of you, Chandler and Ashton are well. This Saturday past 26 May, I stopped by the Memorial Day flag display in Jackson Township with my family and learned that I had just missed you being there. While my family still lives in Massillon, I am in Quantico, Virginia now. You are all still thought of often. From time to time I make my way to Arlington to visit with Heath and other brother Marines. I took a picture the last time I was there. They are never forgotten and always honored. I pray it was a blessed Memorial Day. Semper Fidelis.

"Liquid Prayers"__(Author Unknown)
The tears flow freely down my cheek
Each drop a silent word to speak
Sometimes when it is too hard to pray
My tears know just the words to say...
I thank You, God, for tears that fall
I thank You, God, that You see them all
The words are silent, but they are there... Each one a silent, liquid prayer.
There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of you...Heath you remain in our hearts forever.
Your sacrifice was not in vain. We are so proud of you and the love you had for God, family and the USA.
you are in our prayers. God bless.

"Don't Let The Memory Of Them Drift Away"
Thinking of you Heath on the fourth anniversary of your tragic and sudden loss on 11/22/06. You are always in our thoughts and prayers. A great son and brother and an American Hero.
All my love, Dad
To the Warner Family,
May god bless the memory of Heath as he is now watching over us and our Military who continue to serve. I am sorry for your loss and pray for Heath and your family. Heath is an American Hero and will always be remembered as such.
Pvt. Warner. I just wanted to let you know that every day I relive your funeral. It was an honor to escort you and raise your casket onto the horse drwan carraige and then into the hurst for you to be taken off to your final resting at the Memorial. Because of men like you who worried little about yourself and so much for other people has allowed me to stay motivated in my military career and lifting your casket as a man just as young as you, I had to be pulled to the side as tears began to fall from my eyes hearing the stories your friends told about your attitude towards the military the love for your family and the love for your bothers in arms. God Bless you and Happy 235th birthday. I know all you great men up above watching over all us warfighters today are the reason we are safe and your sacrifice will never be forgotten by this marine who carried one of his brothers to rest in peace. Love you man and you remain in my heart every single day. Sgt. Gainer
I read the story of your son, Marine Private Heath D. Warner in the Pensacola, Florida News Journal on 9/16/2010. The story was about your trip to Arlington National Cemetary to confirm that it is your son buried there.
I saved the article because I wanted to send it to you. I also wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your son as a patriotic American.
I appreciate his love of America. I will never forget his ultimate sacrifice.
Scott and Melissa, my heart breaks for you both and for your sons Chandler and Ashton. May your special memories comfort you.
Your son did something so endearing and special for me (a 60 year-old retired RN), something that I cannot do for my own loved ones. He did for me!
Marine Private Heath D. Warner fought for freedom and a good life for my grandchildren, Kristen and Brandie.
I honor all military by flying the American Flag at my home with a spotlight on it at night. My grandkids are taught to approach a person in uniform or a veteran and tell them a simple "thankyou for your service."
I am so sorry for your loss. I am honored to read about your wonderful son.
God Bless you all. Margie Jacoby
To the Warner Family,
My heart aches for you after reading your story by Mark Seavey. I am trying to stand up and make change for the respectful treatment of our fallen sons and daughters. You are in my prayers.

I never knew Heath, nor will I ever. But every time I see a story about a fallen hero, I make it a point to read about him/her. To the family of Heath Warner, know that even a stranger is shedding a tear for a man he'll never have the honor to meet. Thank you for your sacrifice and God Bless.
Pvt. Warner you were a brave marine and I'm so lucky/ we are so lucky that you fought for our freedom. God bless you and your loving family.
May God be with you at this difficult time. I pray for Heath and all of his family. RIP Amen

Dear Warner Family, I would like you to know that today, on Long Island, NY, I ran a race for a local fallen US Marine, Cpl. Christopher G. Scherer, and on my race bib, was listed three fallen heroes. Your son/brother was one of them. He inspired me today, and I wanted you to know I thought of him and that he is not forgotten. May God Bless your family! Sincerely, Kim Tyburski, Shoreham, NY
Scott and Melisa,
We'ver never met but your sons card has been in my bible for 2 years now. I met your dad as he visited our church and he had words of encouragement for me concerning my grandson. It touched my heart so deeply I cant even explain it. When I heard of this run I was excited to think I could finally give back just a little. Your father suggested I phone you because he thought you could help me. Of course I never did but hopefully will meet you both someday. Thank you to your entire family. God Bless you all.
Thank you for your serivce to our Country in its time of need and for protecting us here at home from those who would do us harm. Your service to keep us safe is honorably remembered and prayerfully thanked for as we remember you and your service to your Country. Thank you, Pvt. Heath Warner.

Thinking of you today Heath. Happy Easter!
My Family, another Gold Star Family, send our deepest most sincerest condolences to the Family and friends of Pvt. Heath D. Warner. We are thankful that there are fine young men like Heath out there watching over us and our freedoms. Heath, like our Son, Michael will be forever young and forever flying with Angels.
Oh my he is so handsome what a fine young man he became!! To God be the Glory and I pray you continue to enjoy the sweet, sweet memories that will never die!
Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.
Dear Warner Family,
I am reading this nearly four years later and would like to express my deepest sympathy. We have another saint in heaven to help us in our quest for freedom. Along with the many heroes from many wars in the U.S.,
I am praying that they help us to end this war and keep peace in the U.S. I have my youngest son in Afghanistan now and my youngest daughter was in Iraq. One of her soldiers from her group died. SGT. Michael Barkey. A playground was named after him at St. Phillip and James Church in Canal Fulton, Ohio. He was to be the best man in our second cousin's wedding He was the groom's best friend and they printed a tribute to him in their wedding pamplets at the church.
There is an open gate at the end of the road.
Through which each must go alone.
And there, in a light we cannot see,
Our Father claims HIS own.
Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest, and there is comfort in the thought that a Loving God knows best.
Thank you Heath for your sacrifice for us all. Rest in the Loving Arms of Our Lord. We don't ever forget!
To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace,
and to the faithful I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore,
gazing at a beautful ocean---remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its majesty---remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity---remember me..
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, and memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.
For if you always thhink of me, I will never be gone.
I AM WITH YOU STILL
I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still--do not weep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone--I am with you still--in each new dawn.
So do not mourn for me so long,
because My spirit lives forever within your hearts.
Remembering your loved one Heath, today and always. May Our Lord be your strength during this Holiday Season, along with comfort, faith, hope, love, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. Rest in peace Heath, you gave your blood so others may enjoy the Freedom's we all have. The greatest sacrifice! Thank you.
You are always in our hearts and there is not a day goes by that we do not think of you and the loss we feel without you being here sharing the Holiday's that surrounds your untimely death 3 years ago.
Happy Thanksgiving Heath. You were in my thoughts and prayers. Remembering good times. I love you! Dad
Anniversary dates seem alost daily for combat veterans. We combat veterans of Vietnam have 40 or so years of anniversary dates, but I don't think all of them rolled up together would even be 1% of this devastating anniversary date for your family.
As I've worn Heath's memory band since June 8, 2008, I've had to ask for one replacement to have that symbol of sacrifice, ultimate sacrifice a soldier makes when he or she takes the oath and basically writes a blank check to his or her country, saying take some or all, because I'm here to serve and protect freedom.
As Melissa, with courage and character, stood and spoke at another fallen soldier's memorial ceremony, 1st Lt. Sharon Ann Lane, ANC, KIA Vietnam, June 8, 1969, I was sitting and thinking how anyone can question a person's decision to serve and die for freedom rather than live not free and protect the freedom of family and of strangers.
It seemed Melissa and Scott were speaking for and with Heath to serve as examples for continuing living freedom that makes them voices for Heath's continuing contribution, to live, love, and improve, getting better each day, making progress each day.
All of us who manage survivor guilt know it can be an awful stressor, but becoming a voice, a model, an example for those who have ultimately served can help, in just being thankful for the daily small things we can do but couldn't do without freedom. I think they are proud when we make the day better and enjoy those around us in daily things that build and improve.
Heath's spirit and life came from a rare breed of individuals, Scott and Melissa and their families who seemingly helped nuture Heath to understand that life is temporary but spirit is eternal, to find a passion in life and serve it so that others are better and grow to serve, sacrifice, and enjoy each other's life and unspoken but obvious passion for freedom of mind, body, and spirit through faith, hope, and love.
In thought and prayer and giving thanks.
I can't believe it's been four years since Heath graduated from boot camp. We were all so proud and excited to watch him graduate from boot camp. Little did we know then that you would die as a hero almost a year from your graduation. Today I remember fondly the smiles, hugs, photos, new dress blue uniforms and your coming home for Thanksgiving. I am and will always be so proud of you Heath. The poem below is sort of a tradition that I am going to post every November 18.
Heath, My Son
Graduation from Boot Camp (November 18, 2005)
I get to see my son today,It’s four months since he has gone away, He’s different now, he’s not all mine, He’s a U.S. Marine, the finest kind. The little boy that I once newHas now become a man that’s true,He loves and hurts like you and meBut now he doesn’t let me see. He’s brave, tougher, smarter too,But remember my son…I still need you.I need to know your well and fine, and Hear you laugh from time to time, or Shed a tear or rant and rave…You don’t always have to be so brave. So take God’s hand he’ll lead the way He’ll keep you safe each day I pray, You’ll walk with him where heroes tread,But don’t feel dread, feel blessed instead You have the love all around,So make it right, your judgments sound. A man you are…But my son you’ll be,Forever and eternity. Love, Mom A special poem from Melissa to Heath at boot camp graduation. Author-Anonymous
Thinking of you today and remembering fondly your bootcamp graduation which was two years ago today. We love you and miss. Our heats ache every day but the love doesn't end. Remembering fondly your special day.
Love, Dad and Mom
Yesterday was our day, Veterans Day. After work I came over to the Ohio Fallen Hero Memorial. I took the time to view every Soldier Memorial. I then drove over to Forest Lawn Garden Memorial Cemetery, this is where the Medal of Honor Memorial is. When I got there I met a mother that was visiting in Honor of her son who was on the wall, he died in 2000. We spoke for about 45 min. about her son, also of the brave men and women that had given there lifes sense 911. After she was gone I stood there among all those Heroes and thanked God that we had all you heroes in our Military. Life is a wonderful gift and that gift you gave to Amercia, I want to thank you Heath and your family for my gift of Freedom

There’s a land where the birds are singing...
and the skies are always blue...
On the other side of the rainbow
where your soldier waits for you...
Safe at last from the sins of mankind
and ravages of war...
On the other side of the rainbow
is the son that you adore...
In his eyes is the light of Heaven... on
his face is the same loved smile... on
the other side of the rainbow...
where he’ll greet you in a while.
Proud to be an American. God Bless America!
Thank you for your service to our country.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
Dear Heath, thinking of you on this Easter Day. I know you are in the presence of our Lord and because of that hope I know we will be together again. But as we celebrate here without you, our hearts are sad as we share another holiday without you. I lit one of your candles today to remind us your spirit is alive with us in our hearts and minds. Happy Easter dear son.
We thought of you with love today...
But that is nothing new....
We thought about you yesterday...
And days before that too...
We think of you in silence...
We often speak your name...
Now all we have are memories...
And your picture in a frame...
Your memory is our keepsake...
With which we'll never part...
God has you in His keeping...
We have you in our Heart...
Love is the tie that binds...

Over 1,450 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
Contact us directly at Projectcompassion@manti.com or go to www.heropaintings.com. If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
There are no words that could ever express ones gratitude to a hero. I feel very honored to have known the sweet little boy that grew up to not only serve his country but to also lay down his life for it. My heart ached when I heard of your passing as I cannot begin to imagine the pain that your parents felt and continue to feel. The pride that they have for you eminates in the memorial website that they have created, it is the most beautiful tribute that I have ever seen to a son and a hero! God Bless you Mellisa and family, you are in my prayers.
Time cannot steal the treasures... That we carry in our hearts...
Nor ever dim the shining thoughts...
Our cherished past imparts...
And memories of the ones we've loved......
Still cast their gentle glow...
To grace our days and light our paths...
Where ever we may go.............
Nary a day goes by that we do not think about you. Love is the tie that binds.
Heath, I will forever remember you and love you. You will forever be in Nanny's heart.
I love you!
Happy Valentines day My Love!
I miss You so Much.
All My Love,
Heath, I wish you a Happy Valentines Day today...but my heart is just broken that you are not here with us. I know mom would have made you a special gift bag of your favorites. It's just another reminder that you are gone and our world is so different. All my love. Dad
No greater gift can a man give than to lay down his life for his country. Thank you is insufficient.
Happy Birthday Heath! I love You so Much!
Happy Birthday Heath. Thinking of you today.
Merry Christmas Heath. The holidays are so empty without you. I can't imagine this is how it will be the rest of our lives. Today I lit a candle for you as you were in our thoughts and prayers.
My heart goes out to you. My prayers are with you and your family. My thank yous are to your family and your beloved son for making such a sacrifice. May God be with you always.
My prayers are with you, Warner Family. We, the mainstream population of this great country thank you and salute you. God bless you all, and may He hold Heath in his loving embrace forever.
My family's thoughts and prayers are with you everyday - he and his fallen brothers and sisters are national treasures. I also admire that despite your loss, that you as a family have honored your son, his patriotism and our country
The paradox and irony we live with daily is constant practice with having to manage the fact that in life and during life we prepare ourselves and others to celebrate the greatest reward we perceive to achieve by gaining Heaven by enduring the almost overwhelming suffering of the greatest loss we can bear when losing our children. As the natural order of things, the old should protect the young; however, the young are sometimes called and chosen to protect the old and the younger.
It would seem that no one would deny a person the opportunity to be called by God to serve, sacrifice, and enter Heaven. We only can hope, maybe, that the degree and amount of loneliness, loss, despair, anger, disappointment, grief, frustration, denial, and sadness we feel is an indicator of the level of peace and eternal happiness our child has earned and been awarded.
Another Canton symbol of courage in war, a Vietnam combat nurse, unarmed and unselfish, prayed this:
“I am nearest God when I am privileged to touch, with a healing hand, His violated image on earth.
When one draws God’s attention, one also draws His fire.”
(1st Lt. Sharon Ann Lane, ANC, KIA Vietnam, June 8, 1969)
As Christ unselfishly and unarmed gave his life for his followers and everyone, Sharon gave her life for her patients, ours and theirs. Heath continues the unselfishness of a person with the strong convictions learned from family that no greater love is a may laying down his life for another. Those values, morals, faith in family that you gave Heath are now carried on by you to help us live our purpose with integrity and dignity.
Thank you, Melissa and Scott, for Heath, who stepped up and into harm’s way that we can learn more each day about how to live, and for you to live for gaining understanding this challenge you’ve been given.
Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Heath, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Angel and soldier drawing I have shared here.
We did not know that morning.
That God would call your name
In life we loved you dearly,
And in death it is still the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone;
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us full of memories
And thoughts of you are still
Our guide; although we can
No longer see you, you are always
At our side. Even though our chain
Is broken and nothing seems the same. Someday God will call on us and the Chain will link again.
We reflect today with honor, respect and profound gratitude upon the ulitmate sacrifice which our friend Heath gave in the defense of our Country, and the liberation of another. He was a credit to his parents, his community, and this nation. God bless his memory. Scott, Melissa, Chandler & Ashton, we love you.
Pvt. Heath Warner will forever be a hero for his service and sacrifice in the name of freedom. May he rest in peace knowing what he gave will never be forgotten and his legacy will carry on. May his loved ones know many share their pride in their hero.
On this Veterans Day we remember your courageous service to our country. We miss you and think of you daily. Your always in our hearts.
I think of you often.I want tio Thank you for your Ultimate Sacrifice.I wear yours & Matthew's name bracelets proudly side by side.Thank you again & God Bless you on this special day of remembrance.
Thank you so much to your family for your continued support of our military. As a military wife, I thank you. We are now neighbors, you live at the top of the hill in my neighborhood. We met Sunday briefly during trick-or-treat when our "heard" of kids came to your home. Thank you Heath for our devotion to our country!
Almost 2 years later & the emptiness in this world is still felt! There is not a day you & all those who have died for our freedom are not missed!! Thank you to the family of Heath Warner.
Mr. & Mrs. Warner,
I learned the story of you son by way of Todd Palin's wrist. Today when I got home from a McCain Palin rally in Virginia Beach I was going through my pictures and noticed a blue bracelet on Todd's wrist. When I zoomed in I was able to read Heath's name and Googled it. I was brought to tears when i read that Heath was 19 when he was killed. I wasn't the fact that he died so young but the fact that he had so much courage at such a young age. Joining the military and serving my country is something I have always wanted to do but I lack the courage Heath had. Thank you for raising a hero and for putting his story out for me and everyone else to read and be inspired by.
As we approach this anniversary date in November, the stages of grief are still active, stalled, or have not begun. We each proceed through those stages, personally and individually. Sometimes, we recognize another person's stage of grief because we have already been through that stage. Sometimes, we question another's way of handling the same deep loss in a different way. Sometimes, we are almost made angry by a comment or perspective, not realizing the comment may come from a person who has been through all stages of grief caused by the same loss. Only later, after we've achieved allowing ourselves to willingly pass, with difficulty, through each stage, not in order, but pass through each stage that, we then reach a view that now we can better understand what was once a thought of out-of-place comment. Now, we see that comment fits into that specific stage of grief.
Some stages of grief take years, decades to finally manage well. It's hard work each day to manage grief in a world of living and progressing, regardless of our level of pain and suffering.
For whatever reason, Scott and Melissa and their sons have been given this challenge in their lives. Commitment to God and country has resulted in tragic, out-of order death. In an orderly life, the old die first. In war, disorder of man, all ages of persons die. The old saying that war is Hell has many times been changed into saying, "If war is Hell, why do good people and young persons die in war. If a person believes in Heaven and Hell, isn't Hell for evil and bad people who never have no remorse for their motives or consequences for their actions? If so, how can war be Hell?
I celebrate Heath's devotion to God, family, and country, enough to die that we may remain free of any further level of evil or bad in our society which is already burdened enough with cancerous ideas and activities.
Heath has reached the pinnacle of self-sacrifice and has his reward. How are we managing and living the gift he has provided us: freedom, family, family members for whom he defended so that family can grow, live and love each other, each day, and each opportunity to confirm his sacrifice will be recognized by strenghtening our families and by growing in understanding and patience with ourselves and each other for being symbols of his desire to keep us together and free.
I mourn, grieve, and lift you up in prayer and thought to grow, understand, and persevere through this challenge. There is a reason. We just have to keep trying to maybe know the reason.
"I am thankful for this day. I am thankful for good health. Today I will go through the day inwardly relaxed and outwardly alert.
I will pay more attention to the things outside of me and less attention to the things inside of me.
I will enjoy my food, the weather, my work, and the people around me.
I believe I will be given the strength to meet whatever problems come to me. I will do my tasks one at a time, and not try to cross all my bridges at once." (Favorite saying of 1st Lt. Sharon Ann Lane, ANC, who died on duty on Vietnam, June 8, 1969. Born to Honor. Ever at Peace)
May their reward of peace for their choice of serving bring that connection of peace each day to you Scott, Melissa and your sons.
Soon we will be remembering Veterans Day, November 11th. We honor and say "Thank You" to all who have served this country so valiantly--for those who did not return home; those still missing; and for those who returned home and still wonder "why did I make it home"? Only God holds the answer to these questions. Heath, come November 22, 2008 we will remember your sacrifice for us all--how fast your 2 year anniversary has come and how we still hold your loss so fresh in our minds and hearts. From all who loved you. Semper Fi!
To the Warner family: I "THANK YOU" for the sacrifice that Heath made for his country.
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag."
May God grant you peace during your time of pain and suffering.
We remember you especially today as you deployed 2 years ago today for Iraq. We never dreamed we would not talk to you again or see you again. We miss you so much today as before. You will forever be in our hearts. We will see you again some day!
We love you.
We will never forget your sacrifice!!!
I don't really know what to say bro. Just that we all miss you. And even though it has been so long. You will always be remembered for your sacrifice. Your life is what all soldiers should mirror and reflect. Thanks bro.
You were always like a brother to me all the way through high school bro.
I am not sure why, but for some reason I decided to read the section about area Military men killed in Iraq.
Although I did not know you.. I remember your story in particular, especially the picture in the paper of the beautiful horse and carriage that carried you to the various streets that represented your life in Canton.
Thank you Heath for keeping us safe.
God Bless your family.
You are remembered and respected. Thank you Pvt Warner!
On my watch, you'll never be alone.
I will hold your hand and wipe away the tears.
In this Land so far away from Home.
After Sunday, June 8, while attending the annual memorial service at the Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, for 1st Lt. Sharon Ann Lane, ANC, recognizing her sacrifice on June 8, 1969 while nursing in Vietnam, I came away with having more closure from my Vietnam experience from the continuing healing spirit of Sharon Lane and grit and saavy of her mom and with more strength and courage to continue because of my meeting, listening to, and talking with Melissa and Scott. As I observed Melissa standing in front of the group of personsa and speaking about Heath and speaking to Mrs. Kay Lane, Sharon's mom, I better understood that the depth of a mother's love and nurturing a child toward success is willingly committed to knowing the high cost that may occur. I was humbled and awed by the character of these two moms. Sharon's spirit continues to heal. Heath's spirit continues to strengthen. Their spirits fortify me to continue. "Heavy hearts, like heavy clouds in the sky, are best relieved by the letting of a little water." -Christopher Morley
May God Bless your family and I will be seeing you in Arlington in two weeks.
Hey, Little Bubbi.
Sure do miss you, Heathie. Wish you could have been here to see all the people that came to run/walk for your Memorial Run. I'm sure you were there watching over us. We're all so proud of you. Though our hearts ache every day from missing you we understand the calling God had on your life. And I am very proud of you for walking in that calling. You've taught me so much. We'll be seeing you soon in Arlington. We Love you, we miss you, and we're so very proud of you.
Heath is in our hearts and prayers today as we remember the sacrific he has made and his family also. God Bless our Heros.
Dear Melissa, Scott, Chandler and Ashton:
Today we are remembering you and your family as you think of all the wonderful memories of your most precious and brave soldier - Heath. We wanted to come to the memorial run, but were unable to attend. We are praying for you and your family as you continue to let Heath's legacy live on and be a testimony for Jesus Christ.
thinking of your family 2 day and your son with love from ireland
On this Memorial Day, in the spirit of Christ, the greatest Hero, is the humble servant. Remembering with you the life of your loved one who served in the name of our great KING.
For he who is least among you all will be great. Luke 9:48
I am thinking of Heath and your family on this Memorial Day weekend (as I do often). My son Aaron's decision to enlist in the USAF was greatly influenced by Heath's commitment to and his ultimate sacrifice for his country. The tattoo on Aaron's back is a constant reminder of his friend and of his memory. HEATH WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Aaron is currently deployed in Baghdad. God bless and protect all our servicemen and women!
Proud Air Force Mom
Just thinking of you as I do often. You do not know me but you moved me when I seen you on Nancy Grace, last year.

Your Nannycake forever!
Scott and Missy,
There is not a day goes by that we do not forget the sacrifice given by you and mostly Heath. We could sit and be saddened by his passing but we choose to remember the fun times spent by our families. Remember the photos in the leaves? What a great day we all had and what a great memory. Heath, thank you just is'nt enough to say for the journey you took to make sure that the rest of us are safe. We are sure that someday when the Lord takes us home that you will be there at the gates with our beautiful flag flying beside you, a big smile on your face saying welcome, it's safe here, we've been waiting for you, come on in. Scott, Missy, boys, we are forever friends, forever family, forever thankful! God Bless!
It is my honor to run in the Heather Warner Memorial 5K on Memorial Day. Although I did not know Heath, I must run to honor him for fighting for me and all of America. I'll be thinking of him every breath I take and step I run - Thank you Heath for my freedom! The website is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful Marine!
Mr & Mrs Warner:
I read the article in the Repository recently where, you Mr. Warner quoted your son Heath about the red stripes in our American Flag. Recognizing you and your wife and family as the main ingredient in his formation, I wanted to thank you on behalf of our nation and
community for the sacrifice and love which built his character, honor and love of our country.
You have been and will continue to be in my prayers!
May God Bless, Heath, Both of You , His Family, Friends and Loved ones; Grant you His Abundant Love and Peace in fond memories, Here and Joy-filled Reunion in Eternity.

Heath we all love you and we are all still thinking of you
we love you Heath
Sunday Nanny and I went to our favorite resturant after church. Setting next to us was a young woman and her little son. He looked just like you when you were a little boy. The memories came flooding into my mind and I could not control my emotions. Yea, I cried. The young woman knew you. Said she went to high school with you. The heart hurts and the pain remains. I love you and miss you so much.
The Soldier stood and faced God, which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining. Just as brightly as his brass. 'Step forward now, Soldier. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?' The Soldier squared his shoulders and said, 'No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, that wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime. When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, among the people here. They never wanted me around, except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord. It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, but if you don’t, I’ll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, for the judgment of his God. 'Step forward now, Soldier you’ve borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets; you’ve done your time in Hell.' - Author Unknown -
I just wanted u to know that i think of U Davenport and Alonzo all the time. I wish that yall could all be here with us for this one to. I know that with the three of yall watching over us we'll make it back from this deployment ok.

Hello, Family. I keep this site in my email. So, I am updated with all your emails. This is a wonderful Legacy for your Son and others. I wrote to you months ago. My Son is stationed in Hawaii. He just arrived from Iraq. As a Marine Mom, who also has a brave young man serving his country, this site is a reminder, that freedom is not free. You said you will keep my Son in your prayers as well. Thank you. You and your family are in my prayers. May God's grace give you the peace you need to take this day by day. Your hero lives on through this site and through all the wonderful memories you had with him. You will see him again, in the kingdom of God. Be at peace, because your Heath is at peace with God. Take care.

I respect and honor Heath's sacrifice. Sorry for his and your family's loss.
May the Lord bless & keep you comforted in your time of sorrow
There is so little to say of the loss of one so young. Life was just beginning. May your sorrow be lessened by the thoughts that he was there to protect and serve his country selflessly. May the memories of his life be celebrated forever.
May God comfort and bless the Warner family and friends. May Pvt Warner's sacrifice not be in vain. May those that gave their all be respected and recognized for their contributions to our freedom and way of life.
May God continue to bless your family.
Our deepest sympathies to Pvt.Warner's loved ones and friends. Thank you Heath for your service and sacrifice. We are grateful for your patriotism.

Condolences for your loved ones departure from this life. He gave part of his young life to the service of these United State to keep harm from our shores. I am confident he now resides in a place of honor and happiness.
Thank you very much for your service, Heath; however, I'm so heartbroken that you had to give your life for the Freedom of your country.
To the family of Pvt. Heath D. Warner, I did not know your son but as a fellow veteran I did shed a tear to hear we have lost one of our finest.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Our Deepest sympathies to all of Heaths loved ones.
Thank you Pvt. Warner for serving our country. May God bless and keep your loved ones in His tender care and see them through this very difficult time. I did not know Heath but am very grateful to him and all who serve our country. I am a U.S. citizen living in Canada.
God Bless Heath and his loving family. Thank God for men like Heath who fight to keep all of us Free!
Please accept my deepest sympathies.
Thank God there are still those who willing put on the uniform and place themselves in harms way to protect the rest of us. Pvt. Warner has my utmost respect and gratitude.
We love you Heath! We remember and always will.
All our love
Never let the loss of a loved and cherished one define you, let there memories and achivements be what is the defining factor. No greater love has a man but to lay down his own life for a comrade. Heath walks with God and we should be good with that. I will walk with Heath someday and we will talk, fish, tell stories and just carry on like Soldiers do. We will be content and happy, the burdens of life will be lifted and we will be in a place of ever lasting peace and love.
I salute you Pvt. Heath, you are a true American patriot who left us far too early. Your dedication and love for your country will live on forever in the memory of your family and friends. We all agree that freedom isn't free as all gave some and some gave all. Thank you for your service.
I really miss you today and want you to know how much I love you.
The ache in my heart just won't go away and i don't think it ever will.
I love you

Here to honor one of our fallen HERO'S.
With Love for or fellow Countryman.
A true American hero.God bless Heath and his family.
When my final day come I will be laid to rest and also roam with many fallen Heros from many Wars and Conflicts. Audie Murphy, General Omar Bradley, and so many other Heroes walk those hallowed grounds. The stories they will tell, the experiences they had, there love for the Flag and Freedom. Tho I did not Know Heath, he was a distant cousin by marriage, regardless, he was a true Soldier that committed his life to give us freedom, unconditional freedom. Heath will be mourned for an eternity, he will also be be be remember for an enernity.
Grandson Heath: January 2nd was your 21st birthday. What a party you must have had in heaven! We miss you and love you; but you remain in our hearts. "What a God! HIS road stretches straight and smooth. Every GOD-direction is road tested. Everyone who runs toward HIM makes it." (Psalms 18:30MSG) Creator GOD. YOU are a steadfast presence in our forever-changed world. We are blessed to have a GOD who knew before the foundations of the earth, what we all were going to experience in this life HE gave to us. HE keeps on giving us trials, suffering, and tribulations; so that we may become more like HIS image. Help us all LORD to keep our eyes on the above and not on the earthly things. Heath you were/are a blessing in this Warner family. We pray for your Dad, Mom, and brothers daily. No, we cannot touch you, nor see you; but your spirit is in our hearts and remains there forever. Thank you for your gift to us--your life for our freedom. You will not be forgotten, like those who have gone before you are not forgotten. Because of your absence we have to move on to a new normal, putting one foot in front of the other, so we do not remain stuck in our terrible grief. So if you see us marching forward to a new year, just remember, you are not forgotten. We hang on to all the good memories (and looking at photos) which are the legacy of love. And know this, that everytime we are near Arlington, we always make a stop at your gravesite for a visit.
Love Gramps & Granny.
Not my virst time signing this guestbook. Just wanted to let everyone know that Heath is never off my mind. I am actually planning to visit his burial site at Arlington in the next day or two, to show my love and respect and to honor him.
Happy Birthday in Heaven. May God hold you in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
A loved one lives forever in the hearts of those who cared.
A loved one lives forever in the memories that were shared.
Happy Birthday, little buddy. Wish you were here.
Heath, I wanted to wish you a Happy New Years and a Happy Birthday!!! Your always in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Warner Family,
My you have a Warm and Blessed Christmas. I am a 1990 graduate of McKinley High School. Everytime I go to Washington, DC, (about every six months), I think about the brave heart and soul of Heath. I go to his site everytime that I am in Washington. He is definitely a HERO in our community and the city of Canton can sure be proud of him!
GOD WANTS YOU TO REMEMBER:
I AM for you.
I Believe in you.
I Will not fail you.
I Will be with you.
I Will provide for you.
I Will bless you.
I Will give you rest.
I Will strengthen you.
I Will answer you.
I Love you.
HE is our Father and we are HIS children--that is one thing that HE never wants us to forget!
No matter what the circumstances in our lives are, HE is there, HE will never leave you nor forsake you. HE is always refining us as silver, in order to make us a better vessel for HIS glory.
HIS Blessings be upon you Scott, Melissa, Chandler and Ashton.
Heath will live in our hearts forever, until we meet again.
We are grateful to Heath for his service to this great country of ours and the ultimate sacrifice he has made for us all. Our thanks to all the military men and woman who do what others cannot or do not want to do. That is courage under fire. And when someone is loss because of the cause of war, those who are left behind, end up walking through a different kind of fire that only God can heal over time. We are praying for a physical, mental and spiritual healing for you all.
The hardest thing for parents to remember is that our children are a Gift from God to us, they belong to HIM. We are to raise them up for the honor and glory of God. There is a time and season for all things under the sun and in heaven.
God Bless and God bless America!
"You received the SPIRIT OF Adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba Father'." (Romans 8:15)
I get to live in the greatest country in the world because of men and women like Pvt. Heath Warner.
May God always keep Heath and may He give comfort to his family today and everyday.
We are so blessed to have had heroes like Pvt Heath Warner serve our country.
With respect,thanks and love.
Mr and Mrs Warner, I am not sure how much you remember of me but I was your son's roomate and squadmate prior to deployment. I think often of Heath and the other Marines who gave their lives that day. This past Thanksgiving the company spent it training for yet another deployment. However I ensured to make time for us to honor Heath and to pray for him and your family. It is truly a day engrained in my heart forever.
I have been thinking of you and your family for the past weeks. We had never met, but Brendan talked about you often when he came home and still mentions you. You and your family are always in my prayers. You are always in our hearts, and I ask that you watch over my husband as he goes back next year. We will always remember you. And to the family, you are always in our thoughts and prayers
It seems like just yesterday we received the call that our nephew James Davenport and Joshua Alonzo and Heath Warner were taken from us. They were brave marines and I thank them for fighting for our freedom. We pray for your family and all the families of the marines and soldiers who have lost their lives and the ones who are still over there. May God grant you some peace and help carry the burden of your loss. Thank you for raising such a fine young man. I know your loss is great. He is in a much better place now.

I just wanted to say hello to the wonderful family of Heath who raised such a hero. This young man volunteered to be an American hero and was willing to bring freedom to another nation while protecting his own.
I had to smile when you talked about the ATM Machine. It seems my grandson has the same idea. He just returned from Iraq in October.
Once again thank you.
Just wanted you to all know we are thinking of you. We will be visiting Heath, tomorrow in Arlington. Meeting you all several months ago in Arlington, has added new members to our family. I hope you know you can always count on us to be there for you, as we walk this walk together.

Hey little bubbi. I can't believe it's been a year since you've gone away and yet it feels like yesterday. The ache in my heart never seems to go away and yet I hope it doesn't. It reminds me of you. Of the hugs, the smiles, the laughs, the last lunch we had together at Friday's before you were deployed, of the kisses on your cheek, of watching you grow up into a man, and of how proud I am of you as I always have been. The tears never stop, I miss you so bad it hurts and selfishly I wish you were still here. But, I know you're free. I know you're o.k. now in God's arms.
Happy Thanksgiving Heathy! On this Thanksgiving I'm so thankful that you and so many others have stood in my place and fought for my freedom. I will never be the same for the sacrafice you made for me.
HEATH D.WARNER***JOSHUA C.ALONZO***JAMES R. DAVENPORT,.For our fallen Brother[s] we shall FOREVER in REMEMBRANCE SEMPER..FI
Heath, today is a bittersweet day for the Warner Family. It is your first anniversary since you have been taken from our family and laid you to rest in Arlington. We would love to have you back here with us, but you are in a better place with our Lord. You are whole again, no pain, no tears; walking on God’s street. As we all are still walking through the grieving process. We thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you made with your life for all of us still down on earth. We are thankful that you were our family. As your Dad would say, “we want our Oreo family back together again.” We love you and miss you. You remain in our hearts forever and will not be forgotten. We also remember your two buddies who died with you. We pray for all who have lost their lives and those still serving and those veterans who have served, so that we can remain a free nation. We salute you all! God Bless America.
As I sit here this morning, I cannot help but think this world is a bit lonelier without you. Today we celebrate you and all the others who gave their lives so that we may be able to have a happy Thanksgiving. Your sacrifice was too much to ask - I am eternally grateful.
If it is not too much to ask, please so Hello to RGS should you happen to run into him up there. He was also taken from us too early. In return, I will watch over your dad whenever possible. And may God look over you and your family and help us bring peace and understanding to those around us.

Mark & Irma McVicker
November 22, 2006 started out as a normal day for my family and me. I was on vacation from work for the Thanksgiving Holiday and once we had the boys off to school; Melissa and I had a checklist of errands to complete for our Thanksgiving Celebration the next day. We arrived home around noon and began to unpack our groceries.
I had gone upstairs for just a minute, when I heard a scream from outside…it was my wife, Melissa, and I knew something was terribly wrong. As I ran down the stairs and Melissa was flying in the house choking out that, the Marines were here….at that moment three Marines entered our house with tears in their eyes …we knew Heath was gone. In a split second on 11/22/2006, our family was forever changed and our world stopped….or so it appeared…but here we are nearly a year later.
On this Thanksgiving Day, I am still thankful for the many blessings I have in my life. Melissa, Chandler and Ashton are my life and inspiration. Everyday we get up in a free country and we move ever so slowly forward. We are not the same family as before, but I think we will be better family in the end. Another thing I am thankful for is the hidden blessing that comes when your world stops. Everything is up for grabs. The things that were important to me on 11/21/06 were not on 11/22/06. Missed priorities, materialism, self-centeredness, ambition all fell away when we lost our Heath. Life is so subtle how it draws you in to its trappings and I was no exception. Since Heath's death, we have had many opportunities to meet new friends and help people in new ways. We are thankful for our Gold Star families and the people all over the country that share their love, prayers and support. I am thankful for friends, family and our church that have walked through the Valley of Death with us.
On this Thanksgiving Day though, I am thankful for a young man, Pvt. Heath Warner, who I had the honor and privilege to be his dad. I am going to celebrate a life that fulfilled its purpose. On a split second on 11/22/06, Heath's life was forever changed. He was greeted by the angels that took him to the arms of a heavenly Father that welcomed him home. H will forever be remembered as a hero.
You were a selfless, simple person to the end. We will forever remember the things that made you special to our family. No one looked more handsome and you carried yourself just so in your dress blues. You were so proud to wear them and to be a Marine. We will remember your smile and laughter, a sensitive spirit, and your sense of adventure and unique interests, the love for your brothers, parents and extended family, God and Country…We will remember talking politics…your thinking that the ATM machine is an unlimited supply of cash, stupid decisions and picking up the pieces, endless phone conversations and texting.
I know that while Heath was on top of that humvee that he was thinking of all of us. His family friends and fellow Americans. We love you Heath and thank you for your sacrifice. We thank you for the many years we had with you.
So on this Thanksgiving Day, I can still say thank you God for our many blessings and the gift freedom. I love you and miss you Heath. Happy Thanksgiving. Love Dad
My Dear Son Heath, I just remembering your boot camp graduation which was two years ago today. It was such a great time and a precious memory to me. Your achieved your dream to be a Marine and I was so proud of you. I remember we all went to get you fitted for your dress blues and how handsome you were and how you wore them just so. On this day I remember fondly a very happy day for you and our family.
Heath, My Son
Graduation from Boot Camp
(November 18, 2005)
I get to see my son today,
It’s four months since he has gone away,
He’s different now, he’s not all mine,
He’s a U.S. Marine, the finest kind.
The little boy that I once new
Has now become a man that’s true,
He loves and hurts like you and me
But now he doesn’t let me see.
He’s brave, tougher, smarter too,
But remember my son…I still need you.
I need to know your well and fine, and
Hear you laugh from time to time, or
Shed a tear or rant and rave…
You don’t always have to be so brave.
So take God’s hand he’ll lead the way
He’ll keep you safe each day I pray,
You’ll walk with him where heroes tread,
But don’t feel dread, feel blessed instead
You have the love all around,
So make it right, your judgments sound.
A man you are…
But my son you’ll be,
Forever and eternity.
A special poem from Melissa to Heath at boot camp graduation.
Heath, your Mom and I are so proud of you. You lived your life just as we taught you...a love a God, Family and Country. Our hearts ache every day, but the love never ends.
Missing you and thinking of you.
Some people spend a lifetime wondering if they made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem. Ronald Reagan
Heath I will always remeber you, you are my HERO!
My name is Jeremy and I would like to say that I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from Jan 2003-May 2005, I am proud of my country and my prayers go out to Pvt. Warner's family and friends, I was a Army Firefighter/Medic in the Army National Guard, and I have a wife and 2 small kids, I am sorry to hear what had happened to Heath, God Bless you and the USA!
My heart goes out to the family of Heath...it's almost been a year now, and just want you to know you
are not forgotten Heath, and neither is your family forgotten...
Thank you for being so brave and honoring our country...God Bless Our Country and all the other boys
Forever and ever....
Love of Christ in our hearts
I Just want you to know how much i love you and miss you.We honor you this veterans Day. You are forever in my heart. All my love,
You are in my deepest thoughts today being Veterans Day. You are actually never out of my thoughts. I miss you so much and love you with my whole heart. You will NEVER be forgotten. You were so brave and you will forever be in Nanny's heart.
I love you!
My heart goes out to you and your family. My husband is in the Marines as well, but we are here on recruiting orders. You have met him. I know that one day you will see each other again when you see him in heaven and what a joyous reunion it will be. Again, my deepest sympathys.
We are always thinking about your family. Heath is with God, Heath is holding The Lord's hand saying "What a wonderful family you have given me, Thank you". Thank you for putting up this website, our Hero "Pvt. Heath Warner" will never be forgotten. We love your family very much. Blessings.
I remember the sacrifice and pray for God to give you comfort and peace.
I think of Heath and his family often. It was my great fortune to know Heath while I at worked at McKinley. His smile stays in my heart; you are all in my thoughts.
To the Warner family - having just completed in the 10K at the Marine Corps Marathon, I was led to read the TAPS introductions from some of the other runners. I read about your wonderful son Heath on the beautiful web site you have put up. He sounded like such a wonderful young man and a great American. The next time and every time I am at Arlington, I will pay my respects to your hero. He is buried close to my son, Marine LCPL Eric W. Herzberg, having lost his life only a month after him.
My sincerest heartfelt sadness at your loss.
Thinking of you today Heath, I thank you for giving some thing big. I pray every day for your family.
Dear Scott and Melissa,
We can't wait until our own grandsons and granddaughters are old enough to understand and appreciate the sacrifice that Heath made for our country. We will show them his pictures and talk about how brave he was and what a wonderful person he was.Your son will never be forgotten in our hearts and honor to his memory will live on, long after we do.
Love to you and to your family.
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
I watched the flag pass by one day. It fluttered in the breeze, a young Marine saluted it, and then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform, so young, so tall, so proud; with hair cut square and eyes alert, he'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought, How many men like him had fallen through the years?
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers' tears?
How many Pilots' planes shot down?
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, Freedom Is Not Free!!
I heard the sounds of taps one night, when everything was still. I listened to the bugler play and felt a sudden chill. I wondered just how many times that "TAPS" meant "Amen" when a flag had draped a coffin of a brother or a friend. I thought of all the children, of the mothers' and the wives, of fathers, sons and husbands, with interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard at the bottom of the sea, of unmarked graves in Arlington.
NO Freedom IS NOT FREE!!
(by USAFA Cadet Major Kelly Strong)
Thank you Heath for the battles you fought in such a short lived life. May you rest in peace. May your family continue to hang on to the fact that you are with your Saviour. You are missed and loved.
Those through out the ages and now, through this poem, can relive and feel each moment and the many emotions and tears. To all of you who have had a loved one, who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice of their lives, Thank You for letting Freedom Still Ring In America.
Veterans Day is November 11th, Thank our men and women for caring enough to serve. God Bless you all and God Bless America!
Thinking about you and your family today. You are greatly missed by everyone in your country Heath.

Dear Warner Family,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am thinking of your family each and everyday........Heath will not be forgotten. he is an Angel !!!!! Bless all of you....
Our family continues to pray for you each day and Heath is certainly not forgotten. I look at Heath's picture in the service center at Giant Eagle each day I enter there and a smile comes to my face for the many smiles he gave to us while he worked there. I feel for you and your loss for our son Keith has served a good part of the past three years in Iraq. We love you and think of you often.

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
The theme of our proud military is always "Freedom is not free".
Thank you Heath for keeping us free. We are to be at peace with all men as far as possible. Your reward is now with God and you are experiencing HIS peace that surpasses all understanding. Love to you and yours. Semper Fi!
I just want you to know how much you are missed. Your sacrifice is greatly appreciated. You are obviously a very loved young man.
You are a true HERO!
Serenity: We travel the River of Life day by day, and its turn can bring many changes our way, But what may appear as the final bend, is just the beginning instead of the end, For beyond it, there lies still another land, Where your loved one, directed by God's own hand, Lives on, although physically out of sight, at peace in a world of eternal life. (Unknown) Rest in peace Dear Marine in the Loving arms of Our Dear Lord. Peace to you and yours.
Heath! You are a hero to all of us and you are greatly missed. I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet you. I have talked to your dad on myspace and your family is incredible! I Said A Prayer For You Today
I said a prayer for you today and know God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart, although HE spoke no word! I didn’t ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn’t mind. I asked him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind. I asked that HE’d be near you at the start of each new day. To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way! I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small. But it was for HIS loving care I prayed for most ALL.
I pray that our dear Lord gives your entire family comfort, strength, courage, and HIS peace that surpasses all understanding. The wonderful thing about memories is that you know the exact date, time, and what you were doing when you heard about your loved ones death.
It is etched into our hearts where they remain forever and ever. As each day, month and years go by; you will always know it and remember that special loved one. Some may have one or two; others will have many as I do. I do not have to force myself to think about them, it just comes into my mind automatically. I have cherished all those memories from my youth to my elderly years. These 10 months—today –the 22 nd the day you heard about the loss of your son –will forever be etched in my heart. Heath’s presence will be missed—but all the good and wonderful things you remember will remain with you all forever. God Bless your family—HE is the source of our strength in times of need—lean on our God every day!
i love you heath i told every one about you.
~It was his life that made him a Hero...his noble path, an American Hero...his ultimate sacrifice, a Fallen Hero~
We share your sorrow and your pride...thank you for sharing your Hero with us...we will never forget.
Dear Family: As my Marine Son, is currently serving in Iraq, I found this site where your Son, Heath stationed in Hawaii. My Son, also, stationed in Hawaii, is in the 3/3 kilo co. But we are all Marine Family. As 9/11 comes again, tomorrow. On behalf of my Son and our family, we thank you, Heath. And to the family: Your Son's sacrafice will never be forgotten. Instead, he will live in our Marine hearts as a Hero. May God bless you, Heath and your family. GOD BLESS AMERICA and those who chose to serve her. Semper Fi Marine.
To my Dear Heath,
As I sit here today I just can't quit thinking that today marks 1 yr. that we last spoke on the phone and said I love you! And tomorrow we remember 9/11 the day you deployed and so many others lost their loved ones. We love you
Heath and Thank you for your love and dedication to us, God, and this country. All of my love to you
May His abiding love and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all as you mourn the death of Heath. Heroes are never forgotten! They live on. Heath is a hero and many across this nation, like me, keep you in our thoughts and prayers. God is with you and no one or anything can separate you from His love. May you feel His consoling presence in a special way this day, is my prayer. Rest in peace, brave soldier.
I've just recently found this website. I didn't know Heath, but I knew Chandler from school. I know how much he loved Heath, and I know how much everyone did. He'll always be in my prayers, as well as the rest of my familys. God Bless You.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
From a friend who knows the family - my blessings and prayers go out to you.
God looked around HIS garden--And saw an empty space. Then HE looked down here on earth, and saw your loving face. HE put HIS arms around you, and lifted you to rest. HIS garden must be beautiful, because HE only picks the best. A million times we will miss you, a million times we will cry. If love could have saved you, you never would have died. In love we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a special place, no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home. (unknown) Your memory will live on in all our hearts dear Heath. Rest in peace--you did your duty for all of us--Freedom is not free--there is a price to pay--usually with ones life. God bless your entire family members.
Scott and Family,
I did not know Heath, but I do know you, Scott...and he must have been the most loving person. I will never forget the sacrifice he made! Heath will always be my hero (along with the rest of America)!
To the family, I am sorry for your loss. We know that God works to the good of those who love him, and he provides joy in the midst of the sorrow. I am a friend of Stacy.
To the Warner Family,
I did not know Heath but am so proud of him and what all our servicemen do for our country. I am so saddened that he lost his life. It is nice that you have this website to help keep his memory alive. He was a true American Hero. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all families of our fallen heroes.
Dear Scott, Melissa and family,
This website is a wonderful tribute to Heath. We keep you all in our thoughts, our prayers and our intentions. We would like to give you this prayer to say, it has helped us. "Lord, help me to remember that nothing is going to happen to me today that You and I together can't handle, Amen." May God Bless you all, and you can bet, that Heath has sent not one, but an entire flock of angels to watch over his family.
Aunt Mariann and Uncle Nick
No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.
As a father and former Marine my heart goes to your family. I have a son now in Iraq. Our family will keep your family in our prayers.
Your beautiful son will never be forgotten as long as there are those of us who treasure and love him and those who served with him, before him and those who still serve. I share your pain. My cousin lost his 23-year old son to a helicopter crash in Iraq. They ARE heroes - every one of them - and this includes not only those who sacrificed their all, but all who have served and are serving. I live in a military town, and to me there is no greater love or pride or thanks to be offered than to those who willingly serve their God, country and fellow countrymen.
God bless Heath and everyone like him who choose to with honor and distinction serve our country and us. Thank you, Heath!
"For God has not given us a spirt of fear (timdity), but of power, love, and discipline" 2 Timothy 2:7
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love." I John 4:18
"We love, (why) because God loved us first." 1 John 4:19
Take heart in knowing, because of God loving us first, HE is in control and knows your deepest desires. Our prayer for your family is to remember that Our God will never leave you nor forsake you and HE alone can give you HIS peace that surpasses all understanding. Our hearts are broken for Heath, both of your entire family members and all the other military men/women, that have lost their lives and their families --the ultimate gift to us and for all the generations that follows us so we can remain a free Nation.
The website, which is beautifully done, is an outward sign to keep Heath's memory alive. The Heart is the inward sign where we store all the memories of Heath, of those who knew and loved him--recalling those memories which are a legacy of love. From a Mother who hurts for military families all over. Thank you for your service to our country. God Bless you all!!
The web site is beautifiul! We will never forget our hero!
It is not how Heath died that made him a hero, it is how he lived his life that made him one. Thank you for sharing. Our prayers are with you.
Tim (Canton, OH)
You said your beggest fear is that Heath will be forgotten. Release that fear. Please know that as long as I am alive I will pray for him and all of our service men & women who are serving now or who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us. I have one son(a Marine)who also served in Al Anbar & is going back for his second tour in October. My second son just joined the Marines on Wed. GOD be with you and your family. Heath will never be forgotten. I was at the calling hours & you had a beautiful service for Heath. Your website is a great tribute to him. You should be proud.

What a beautiful tribute to Heath. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but from all that I have heard and read, he was a wonderful young man. Please know that your son and his ultimate sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten. I have a 3yr old son and every night we include all of the young men and women who have lost their lives fighting to keep us safe and the ones who are still fighting in our prayers. Although he is young, I want him to know what a true hero is-someone like your son Heath. Thank you for raising such a wonderful person and may God and Heath watch over you.
Thank you Heath for your choice in serving our country and giving us the FREEDOM that we love. You are such a HERO to us all. We thank you and all of your fallen brothers.
May Our Lord comfort you in your grief.
The website is beautiful and a standing tribute to Pvt. Heath D. Warner. May God stay with you and your family ALWAYS!!!
I just saw the article about Heath's website and had to check it out. "Thank you" is never enough for what Heath and your family have done for all the Americans and the Iraqis he died for! Thank you, Thank you!! A true American Hero! May God keep you and your family in the palm of His hand.
Truly a great way to keep in our minds a person who lived his life in a selfless manner. Your impact is felt by those who've been touched by those you've touched.
Scott, Melissa and family:
Your son is one of our American heros. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of the world.
God Bless each of you
Mary ( canton, Ohio)
Dear, dear family,
I am very happy to say that I got to meet Heath when he proudly wore his dress blues to Harriett's retirement function. What an HONOR to meet a HERO in person. Working for Marvin, I feel I knew Heath and loved him as if he was part of my family. Talk about a cousin's love! I came into work this AM and saw the paper on Marvin's chair and of course I had to check out the web address. Really am glad no one else in the office at the time. I could not stop the tears and they came on before I realized. He was a wonderful person who deserves to be with God! Still looking out for all of us. My thoughts and prayers as always remain with you all.
I did not know your son, but grieve for your loss. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. May God bless him and your family.
God Bless you and others who remember our children who died that we may live in freedom. I just posted a tribute this weekend to a young soldier from Minerva who died in Aug. 1968 in Vietnam. You have created a beautiful memory to one of America's sons. Never forget them.
Scott and Melissa and boys,
I want to pass on my deepest sympathies for your loss (and all of our loss). I still remember your son playing with our kids and how full of life he always was. He is a hero and will not be forgotten.
he will always be your little boy,but to us he is a young man who chose to sacrifice his life for your family and ours.i did not know your son but, will always have him in my thoughts as a young brave man who lost his life fighting for our country.
heath is walking with god,and he is still looking upon you as your protector.god bless.
Thank you Heath. You are a true hero!
This is truly a beautiful website.
The site is BEAUTIFUL!!! It really took my breath away.
thinking of you and the family and thank you for all your bravery and courage.it means a lot to everyone.
I love you guys, and im lovin the site.
Scott, Melissa and family:
I know Heath is smiling so proudly right know for your never ending love and faith. We pray others find comfort from your tribute and daily acts of love. God Bless.
Scott, Melissa, Ashton & Chandler, What a beautiful memorial to Heath. So well put together...it really helps us remember Heath. You're a wonderful family and your love for Heath is part of what makes you special. We miss him but know we will all see him again.
"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
Lord God, teach me to embrace my grief and not fight it, so that I may experience the true healing that comes from You. When your heart is breaking, you can place your hope and trust in the Lord.
"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD" (Psalm 31:24)
Listen to God's promise to you and claim it: "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart'" (Jeremiah 29:11-13).
God is the source of your hope and joy. Believe these words of Jesus in John 16: "I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy" (v. 20). Lord, I cannot even remember what joy feels like, but I believe that someday You will turn my grief to joy, and no one will take that joy away from me.
We share your loss of your dear son, your sorrow, your void & emptiness, trying to take one step at a time each day when you awake. Know that many are praying for you and yours. Delight your self in the Lord and HE will give you the desires of your heart. To an American Hero we say "thank you". We will remember you!
Our heart shares your loss, your grief and your hope in Christ.
Jesus said there is no greater sacrifice than to lay one's life down for a another.
Thank you Heath for defending freedom and making the ultimate sacrifice.
May we never forget!
My family and I happened to be walking through somewhere and saw you in that picture. Standing so proud. I pointed it out to my boys and said, "That man is a hero. He died for each one of you." My 9 year old looked at me and asked how he died. I told him about you Heath, how you died in Iraq for us to live safely and free everyday. Every night since then he has included you in his bedtime prayers. Thank you for helping me show my young sons what a true hero is and helping to teach them honor. My boys don't know you, but they will never forget you.
What a tragic loss! We are so sorry for your loss. We were so saddened to find out about this! May the Lord be with you in your time of need. You all will be in our prayers for a healing of your hearts. Lord give us back strength for our weakness, courage for our fear, joy for our sorrows, forgiveness for our failings. Use us, jars of clay that we are. To show forth YOUR all surpassing power. Touch us and heal us and make us strong in our broken places. Do in us Lord, what we cannot do ourselves. Fill the void of your broken hearts as you continue to miss your loved one. We are grateful for our military men and women, who give so much so that we may be a free Nation. God bless you all.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS. I HAVE JUST SEEN THE CLIP WITH MSNBC AND MY HEART JUST BREAKS FOR YOU. MY SON IS IN IRAQ NOW AND THE WORRIES....PLEASE KNOW THAT YOUR FAMILY IS KEPT IN PRAYERS. STAY STRONG AND GODSPEED. SEMPER FI
A PROUD MARINE MOM
O God, we have lost so much--Our American Heroes! Who will fill these gaping holes within us. YOU--yes, YOU Lord.
"And our God will meet all your needs accordiing to his riches in Christ Jesus. Philpippians 4:19
In our weaknesses YOU Lord make us strong. Thank you Heath for being one of many who protected our freedoms and still do. May you rest in peace.
God's Word to the Warner Family:
"The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." HE is the only ONE who can heal a heart shattered in a million pieces. That is why God is called the "GREAT PHYSICIAN". Lean on HIM!
What can I say or do to take away the pain, nothing, so I will not pretend that I know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

It will be Easter in 2 days. And I will pray for your family.
I am very sorry for the loss of your son. I too have a son in the Marines, Charlie Battery stationed now in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He was in Iraq in 2004. I pray for all the Marines' and military's safe return home. May our prayers give you comfort.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Your son is a hero. Thank you Heath for the ultimate sacrafic you've paid for our freedom. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
Father we entrust our brother Heath to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold Heath in the palm of His hand.
Dear Scott and Melissa

“Paid in Full”
In Honor of The War Against Terrorism’s Fallen and Injured Marines
Marines through and through, they paid the price
Six thousand miles away, we live the life
For which they paid with their blood, spirits and bodies
We will never forget what they paid in full
We hope and we pray that somehow their loved ones find comfort
In God, in the flag, in the memory of their loved ones’ bravery
They’re gone now but we see them still…proud, strong, willing
Covering each other’s backs… courageous, moving forward
What kind of love did they have for us to be willing
To give it all for the Black, White, Jew, Christian, Muslim?
We don’t comprehend but we honor you now and forever
You are Our Marines…some living…some not
Forever in our minds we will cherish your lives
Lives too short yet immortal they’ll be
Highest brotherhood of the few, the proud
They stand at attention, and we gaze with awe
Some know their names not, but our admiration for them
Flows limitless within us, between us
They sacrificed their limbs or their lives
Freedom still rings, a soft sound across the miles
It tolls slowly; all of creation takes note
Of the lives that were lost for people unknown
Out of sight but not lost; forever among us
The starched blues marching straight
Toward the place where we will meet them
Many years from now…how we loved them…
Well done beloved Brothers and Sisters…You’ve paid it in full
Always Faithful Marines, You Have Paid it in Full
he was funny and bright and was a good person.
As the sky goes dark
our hearts will
glow bright for one
brave soldier the
candle will burn all
night and the
flag will still be there
oh how we miss
you being here.
As the sky
goes dark our
hearts will glow bright for
that soldier who'scandle went out
my prays are with you and sorry for your loss i hope the poem can say what i feel.
Dear Melissa and Famliy, I am so very sorry. As I set in my kitchen listening to my mom read the net info that Linda had sent my eyes began to well-up. I have always looked up to you. You are my example of how a Christian woman should be. Someone said a while ago to me about death,(my grandma just died) God is making preparations and there are just some saints He needs to be with Him. You and your family have all my prayer life at this time. With much love, Lesa Bissell (Milburn)
Our heartfelt condolences to your family. We deeply appreciate your courageous and unselfish duty to our country & to the world. May your family find comfort in their wonderful memories of you. I was quite moved by the photo and article about your son. My wife has a newphew who served in Iraq for a year.
My mother and step-father are both inurned at Arlington. The ceremonies for both was something I will never forget. I can assure you your son may not be with you physically but will be spiritually at times you least expect it. God Bless you all!
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
Dear Warner Family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your son. My own son serves with Second Recon Bat out of LeJeune and will be deploying for the third time in January. I can't imagine your grief but I do know the pride you feel towards your son. Please know that you are in the prayers of all the Marine Moms and Dads out here. We are proud beyond words of all of them.

Dear Warner Family,
Even though we have never met, I feel as if we are a part of a "family". My daughter's fiancee was killed by a IED in Iraq on 10/3/05. It is my prayer that you will feel God holding you as close to His heart as He has held my family this past year. May you know God's comfort and peace as you travel down this difficult road.
Dear Warner Family,
I am the other friend at the license bureau that had the honor of meeting Heath and his mom, Melissa. I am so glad that God had us meet that day, for I have meet a TRUE Hero. Heath and your family will forever be in my daily thoughts and prayers. Just one look at Heath and I knew he stood tall and proud for HIS country. You could see it in everything about him from the way he stood, the way he carryed himself, to even the way he talked. My God be with all of you in this difficult time and always.
So sorry to hear about this tragic loss. You are in my thoughts.
I did know Heath, but I wanted to tell you how honored that I feel that I know of him since he was one of the many brave men and women that are serving our country. May God wrap you in his loving arms. Heath is in paradise waiting for you!
To the Warner family,
May your faith in God give you strength at this difficult time. You can be proud of your son because he was a Marine serving his country.
To the Warner Family,
I did not know Heath only that he was proud to call himself a Marine and do what he felt was the right thing to do in defending our country in itself makes Heath a true American Hero by any definition. May god bless your family and help you through this most difficult time and know that there are many who are with you at this time. My since thanks to Heath for all he has given and to all who defend our country.
our hearts go out to Heath's family during this sad time. Our dear friends loss their son in Iraq on Oct 6 2005 and everytime sence that tragic loss our hearts sadden everytime we hear of another Marine being killed as any soldier in Iraq. We honor the fallen and we keep the fallen soldiers families in our thoughts and prayers.
To the Warner family, my sincerest condolences. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Heath just a year ago and he truly left a lasting impression. Melissa, you and he were walking into the license bureau, and my friend and I, noticing Heath's uniform, stopped you so that we could thank him for his service. I will never forget the way in which he carried himself...so proud to be a Marine. As we stood there talking, I noticed in particular how his hands remained firmly at his sides, curled into fists the entire time--an image that will last forever in my mind. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have met him. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he lived his dream. God bless and strengthen you.
My heartfelt sympathy to Heath's family.
Thank you Heath for choosing a military career to protect the USA.
May God Bless You & Your Family.
I did not know your son but did want you to know that from all I have read and witnessed, you must have been so very proud of him and his service to our country. He is a true hero and our hearts and prayers go out to all of you in the loss of this brave, kind soldier.
Melissa, Scott, Chandler, & Ashton,
My heart goes out to all of you. I don't know you, but send my most heartfelt condolences. My father was a Marine. Semper Fidelis! I am the Mother of a soldier also. My son is currently in Kosovo. He served a year in Iraq. My son in law is also in the Army, he has served a year in Iraq and a year in Afghanistan. Only the families of soldiers or those brave heroes who have served, can truly know the pride and the fear, we as family of those who make these sacrifices go through. Our family also lost our oldest son one year ago. Im at a loss for words, but feel the need to somehow try to comfort you at this impossibly difficult time. Please know that, having sent two sons over to Iraq, that your son was there for a just cause, to make us all safe and free and to be one of the strong who is helping some of the week and helpless. I "can" imagine your pain and I'm so sorry you all have to go through this. May God bless each of you and help you deal with this loss. Remain close to eachother, think about the good times, and be proud of your HERO! Thank you Heath for your sacrifice, and courage! Bless you!
Although I've never met Heath, I know your Mom, Uncle Doug & maternal grandparents.
SEMPER FI! Marine.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I wish I would have had the opportunity to met Heath during his short stay on earth. He was a brave young man who lived his dream. He will be remembered as a hero to all of us.
As parents we share your pride and sorrow that you and his brothers are going through. The bond between a parent and child is a very special one as is the bond that Heath shared with his brothers.
Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. May God give you and your family the comfort that you need now and in the years to come.
U.S. Marine Pvt. Heath D. Warner is truly a HERO!
To the Warner family,
No words can express the deep sorrow that we have expierenced with the funeral and procession that we witnessed. The only word that comes to mind is Hero. He was a man that belived in the cause and gave the ultimate sacrifice--his life for God and country. God please bless this family in their time of need and May the Almighty Bless our Hero!!!! Thank you Heath for our freedom.
The Daugherty Family
I start to write this and realize that it's so easy to just block my feelings and not acknowledge how special Heath must have been and why I am writing this. With it being this hard for me I know I can't fathom the pain you must be feeling. No words can take that away. I guess what I feel would help, at least some, is the knowledge that people do care and that he would not be forgotten. The sacrifice all of you have given to protect our homeland and freedoms is appreciated and will not be taken for granted. My heart goes out to you.
To the Warner Family: I want to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of Heath. He was a wonderful young man. I will always remember him for his good sense of humour and the great friend he has been to brothers over the years. He will be missed dearly by my family and remembered as the hero he has always been. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
I know in your time of sorrow that it must be hard to believe “God Bless America”. I join you in your grief. I do not know you. Or your beloved son but I mourn with you none the less.
I was fortunate enough to be watching Nancy Grace this evening and she memorialized your son and it brought me great joy yet great sorrow at the same time. He is truly an American Hero and I am forever in his debt for laying his life down for me. Like Jesus he has laid down his life so that I could have life here on earth. A life of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
You raised a fine young man and I truly hope that his two younger brothers and your extended family can understand that he has been called home. He has given his all for all of us.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Scott, Melissa, Chandler and Ashton. Please know that you will be in our thoughts forever. Jack and I remember Heath as the young boy who came to the house for parties and to the ballfield to play for Coach Jack. Bryan would tell us about Heath at McKinley and how he talked about being a Marine, especially after Sept. 11, 2001. We didn't have the honor of knowing Heath as the man he had become, but reading about him has made us proud to have had him touch our lives. May your memories of Heath help you through each day and knowing you will see him again through the years. Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Jack, Karen, Bryan and Adam
Diane and I will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers especially in this time of mourning. Please call on us if we can be of help.
Pastor Bob Kretzschmar
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you made for our country.
Dear Missy, Scott, Chandler, Ashton, Randy, Linda, Doug, Gina and family,
We are so grieved for your family and your loss. Such a legacy Heath has already left though his life was so short. Our prayers are with you and will continue to be. May God's grace and strength cover you today and in the days to come.
It's difficult to express my heartfelt sympathy to you on the loss of your beloved son, Heath. As a fellow mother I could only imagine your pain. Please know you and all of Heath's family are in my prayers. Heath gave the ultimate sacriface for me and all Americans. Thank you Heath...May you rest in peace. With deepest sympathy,
Warner Family: May God be your strength throughout the coming days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although I did not personally know you son, I believe that I know what he stood for. What a priviledge it must be to have been blessed with a son such as him and to be his parents. Take comfort is knowing that he died doing what he wanted to do and that his death was not in vain. My prayers are with you all. God Bless You and Thank You For the Sacrifice Your Family Has Made So That We Can Continue To Be The Land Of The Free. With Love......
Dear Scott and the Warner family:
I don't know what to say. You have my deepest sympathy. You have been in my thoughts over the past two weeks and will be in my prayers throughout this holiday season.
To the Warner family: It is with a very sadded and heavy heart I and my family send our deepest thoughts and prayers for your young Hero. It is with much sadness that we pray with you, as our son is with 2/3 Golf Company. My prayer is your dear Heath will carry on as the company angel.

Chuck & Pat Zullo and Family
We cannot imagine the grief that your family is feeling. We want you to know that you are in our prayers and we Thank You Heath For Giving Your Life To Protect Our Country.
Kay & Ron Ruffner
I would like to express my sympathy for your loss! I am a friend of Marvins and remember swimming with Heath several times at the "famous" Fete swimming pool. Heath was a respectful, friendly and fun loving young boy. From hearing Marvin's stories about Heath, I know he grew up to be a respectful, responsible and giving young man. I am truly sorry for your loss and hope all the great memories you have of Heath will help ease the pain.
I plan on being at the calling hours, to pay my respect to a fallen hero, the motivating force that will keep me in the Army. The day that I commission as a sencond lieutenant in the United States Army, I plan to remember Heath and hold him in honor of my commission. Heath will always be in my heart, for a picture of him, will always be kept by my desk, wherever the army may take me.
There also, shall Heath travel, within my heart, within my soul!
I pray that God comforts your family, for many tears have I cried. I pray for peace to come to you and your family in this time of despair.
I hope that there will always be the posibility that Heaths family be present at my commissioning for Heath has touched my life.
Dear Warner Family:
Though we weren't lucky enough to have ever talked to Heath, we were lucky enough to see how proud you (Melissa) looked last year as Heath escorted you to your seat at the Lehman holiday band concert. Heath, in his dress blues, standing straight and tall is an image we won't forget.
Please know that you are in our thoughts, hopes, and prayers.
Mike, Amy, Owen, and Nev Milnes
I cannot even begin to express my sympathy. I knew Heath through my son and Pokemon cards, when they were younger. We were brief neighbors of yours. Everytime I crossed that young man's path, it was a pleasure and had always felt that he had turned into a fine man. We last seen him at the mall when he was just getting ready to be deployed. Thank you Heath for fighting for our freedom and God Bless you and may God comfort your family.
Melissa, Scott, Chandler, and Ashton... My heart goes out to you and your family at this hard time. I worked with Melissa as Sears and I know how wonderful her and her family are. This absolutely saddens me to know what you guys have to go through. I just want you all to know that your son is a hero and he died fighting for all of us. I appreciate everything him and all the other men and women fighting for our country have done. Heath will be missed terribly and he will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this very hard time.
Words simply cannot be found. You are all in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers. May you feel the arms of the the Lord surrounding you in His love and grace.
You don't know how sorry I am for you and your parents. I know that I am as close to my brother Casey as you were to Heath and it would leave a huge hole in my life if I lost Casey after knowing him for so long. Also I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts.
MY HEART AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. ALWAYS BE PROUD OF YOUR SON AND WHAT HE HAS DONE. HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOUR HEART. I ALSO HAVE 2 SONS SERVING OUR COUNTRY AND I WORRY EVERY DAY BUT I AM PROUD OF BOTH OF THEM AS YOU MUST BE OF YOUR SON. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE YOUR GRIEF. MAY THE LORD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. ELAINE AND CARL MANACK
I am sending my deepest sympathies to you and your family! Please know that everyone at school is praying for you during this difficult time.
To the family of Pfc. Heath Warner,
We thank God every day for men like your son who are willing to fight for our freedom. He is a TRUE HERO ~ He paid the ultimate price for our freedom and will never be forgotten. We are truly thankful to you for raising a wonderful son determined to defend our country.

As parents of a Marine, we are proud of your son and his sacrifice. You have been in our thoughts and prayers since we heard of Heath's death. Our son is a Marine in 2/3, which was serving with Heath in Iraq. The three young men lost their lives on our son's birthday and one of them was our son's roommate so please know that you will always be in our thoughts and prayers and may God Bless and Comfort you in this time of grief.

There is nothing more humbling, than the sacrifice of a young Marine. May the Lord comfort you with his everloving kindness as He does Heath today.

PRESIDENT REAGAN ONCE SAID: SOME PEOPLE SPEND AN ENTIRE LIFE WONDERING IF THEY MADE A DIFFERENCE. THE MARINES DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM. HEATH NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM EITHER, HE BECAME ONE OF A BAND OF BROTHERS WHEN HE BECAME A MARINE. I AM PROUD TO HAVE WORN THE SAME UNIFORM. REST IN PEACE BROTHER. SEMPER FI.

I cannot express in words the deep admiration I have for Heath. I have not and will not meet a more determined, honest and courageous person, and I certainly will never meet someone with such great love and devotion to our country. The time that Heath gave to our country, and to his family and community as a hero is irreplaceable, but unforgettable. The thought of never seeing Heath again, or never making political jokes with him, or never seeing him proudly dressed in uniform is painful to fathom, and I can't imagine the sorrow his family feels. My heart and prayers go out to Melissa, Scott, Chandler, and Ashton, and I would give anything to be able to be home for the services tomorrow. Heath's honor and sacrifice will live on forever in the hearts of everyone his life touched, and may there be some comfort in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Heaven. Thank you, Heath, hero.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Heath and his family. Semper Fi, Marine.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Your son was a hero who fought for our freedom. Thank you Heath and may God Bless You!
Dear Warner Family,
I, too, do not know you and did not know Heath personally. I, however, have a son about Heath's age and cannot imagine life without him or his brother. The sacrifice you have all made to protect our country is beyond words. I heard your letter read (on Quinn and Rose) and was moved to tears, as I am each time I see Heath's handsome face in the newspaper. My greatest wish for you is that you will take comfort in knowing that the sacrifice your son made for all of us does not go unappreciated. Your son was the definition of a hero!
God Bless you and your family and may the words of strangers give you some comfort.
I cannot imagine the pain you must be enduring during this time. But please take comfort in the fact that Heath is a hero and because of heroes like him our country is the greatest in the world.
You and your family are in my prayers and it is with heart-felt appreciation for the sacrifices you all have made that I thank you again. May God bless you and comfort you in your time of need.
Dear Scott, Mdelissa and family,
Like so many others, I did not know your son, nor do I know you. I do know, that we are sons and daughters of the Lord, therefore, we are brother and sister. So I write as a member of youir family of faith to express my sorrow at the loss of Heath and want you to know I have asked for the payers of every member of our parish, Saint Mary's in Massillon, for all of you at this time as well as for the eternal rest of your son. I spoke at each Mass and on the world wide web this past Sunday asking for remembrance of all of you.
I pray that the LORD, the God of peace will shower Heath with light and peace as he has traveled from light into light.
I also pray that his death will never have been in vain and that peace will one day flourish in the Middle East and throughout the world.

Those Marines who have passed away in the War on Terrorism never leave any Marine's heart, because we know being a Marine fighting in this war is no easy task. With so many Marines on their third and fourth tours-it can get tiresome for most. Being a Marine is a special thing, and I'm proud to serve in the same Corps as Heath. I'm so sorry for your loss, and if there's anything I can do on my end-let me know.
Cpl. Leslie Palmer
While I didn't know Heath, I wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. From the Tributes it sounds like he was a very special person and will be missed greatly. I had sons to served in Iraq and I can only imagine the sadness your family is going through. My sincere smypathy and prayers are extended to you and your family in this tragic loss of your love one. I also send my deepest respect to your love one for the sacrifice that he gave in serving his country. May God wrap HIS arms around you and comfort you.
Dear Warner family,
My heart goes out to you and your family. My son also is in 2nd bn 3rd marines and left for Iraq with Heath. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you Heath and all of 2/3 marines and service men and women who risk there lives for us Praying that God will give you comfort and wrap his loving arms around you.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Warner and family,
You have our deepest sincere condolences on the loss of your son, Heath. We grieve with you as we lost a brother long ago in the same circumstances and age as Heath. We are broken hearted knowing that another family has to endure the grief of losing a loved one as we did. But on the other hand, we are so proud of our young men whom served our country so unselfishly. Our daughter Jennifer graduated with Heath. They shared some classes together, and she also remembers him from the Living Fountain Dance Company, where she took dance classes. At one time, she herself thought about becoming a Marine. But instead she married one. So today, we all want you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Before I close I would like to leave you with this thought....
Only two defining forces have ever died for us. Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for our soul, the other for our freedom.
May the peace of our Lord comfort all of you.

Heath gave his life so me and my family may have peace. No words can express the gratitude I feel for your son. My deepest condolences.
Heath was a neighbor of mine and we grew up together. I can honestly say Heath made me a better person because he taught me discipline and to never give up in what I do. I say this because he led by example and never gave up in what he did. He was an amazing person and one of my best friends. He will be greatly missed. My sympathy and best wishes are with his family. Heath my Grandson,
In all the words written in the past I purposed to be positive, upbeat with a spiritual closing for encouragement and building of your faith, doing my best not allowing my emotions to enter. As I write this from my heart I must express my love and admiration. Our American patriot! A US Marine, a stand you took many years ago. Not only did you follow your dream, but put feet to it. I could not be more proud of you, but when wasn't I proud of you? In your short walk in life you impacted more lives than most ever will. You certainly touched Nanny and my life, for there is that special place in our hearts for you.
Heath I lost you the first time as a little boy. You were my son. I grieved for you then and I learned that God had a greater plan for your life. The second time I lost you as a man. You are my grandson. I am greiving for you now and am learning that God still has a greater plan for your life.
I was blessed to have been the last family member to speak to you from Germany, your plane stopping for fuel and crew change. Headed for Iraq. You appeared to be happy, upbeat, excited. A desire fulfilled; you made it to Germany. I cried as you spoke. Why? I was speaking to my Heath and I never for one second thought I would speak to you again until you returned home to us in April 2007. With gentleness, compassion, and concern you said "Poppy, don't cry". My heart aches with pain and with tears flowing I hear you saying to me now "Poppy, don't cry". I LOVE YOU HEATH.
Dear Warner Family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son.My son is a Marine also.We are so proud of all our Marines They all are so brave.God Bless
I learned about Heath from my son Joe who is currently serving with the same platoon as your son Heath. Joe shared with me that He and another Soldier would talk to Heath about the Purpose Driven Life, and he was interested in learning, they would read it and share their thoughts. Even though he did not finish reading the whole book, we all know in our hearts that Heath is with the Lord as Heath opened his heart and accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior. I will keep your family in my special prayers. Heath will be remembered, he is my Hero and America's Hero. In God we pray, Joseleen
Dear Scott, Melissa and Family:

May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you during this difficult time. We are grateful for the sacrifice Heath made. May he never be forgotten.
I didn't know your son at all or your family, but I just wanted to let you know how very proud I am to live in a country where we have brave young men and women who are still willing to fight when necessary and yes sometimes lay down their very life for our freedoms. My father-in-law fought in WWII and in the many times he would talk to us about it, he would always say, that he would do it again to keep us free. So again I want to send my prayers and thanks your way during your loss of your son. I'm sure you were and are very proud of him. Keep his memory in your heart.
I am deeply saddened by any loss of life during the Iraqi conflict but from talking to those that have been there; I know we need to maintain our presence. My 22 year old son just got out of the Marines a few months ago and is back home with me. I am truly sorry about your son.
Dear Scott, Missy and boys...
I first of all want you to know that you are in my constant prayers I can't even imagine how heavy your heart must be at this time. I was so shocked to hear of Heaths' death my Aunt called to ask me what his name was and she told me what had happened. Although it is has been several years since we have seen each other I have such wonderful memories of our friendship and I remember when Heath was born and how proud you were of him although I never had the opportunity to know him as a young man I can certainly see that he was a fine one and as parents you must be so proud. We live our lives as parents and always want to protect and shelter and I am sure that Heath learned that trait from you to protect what he believed in. Please know that so many people are thinking and praying for you at this time. Death is such at times a sudden thing but we have the faith to know that someday we will be reunited again and that will truly be a wonderful day. Much love and prayers to all of and also to your parents Missy please give them my thoughts also.
To Heath's family and friends-
My family and I are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. We send our deepest empathy as we lost our Marine on 11/30/05 in Fallujah. They are true Heroes and need to always be remembered for their selflessness and sacrifice to better our world. We will forever be united in the loss of our heros. We are so sorry for your loss and hope our words will ease some of the pain, and maybe fill some of your emptiness.

Please know that I am deeply sorry for the loss of Pvt. Heath D. Warner.
As a parent, who has lost a daughter suddenly,
and as a sister, who has lost a brother to war,
I am aware of the deep and devastating pain that you are experiencing.
The overwhelming heartache, seems to surface through our shock, as the time passes.
Please hang on to your Faith and know that you will get through this.
Ever so softly and slowly, time does heal.
May Heath Rest Safely, in the Care of God and know that he WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
I pray that God's Loving Comfort and Grace will be with the Warner family.
I am the sister, of such a 19 year young Hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.
Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.
With each new day, may the Lord restore your soul and, through His love, give you the strength to go on.
Heath, You have always been my hero. You will forever be in Nanny's heart. Thanks for all the love you brought to this family.

Dear Scott, Melissa, Chandler and Ashton,
There are no words that can ease the pain that each of you are feeling. Your grief is as unique as your memories of Heath. Our heart aches for all of you and our prayers are that God will hold each of you in his arms and comfort you as you grieve the loss of your son and brother.
Scott, I was deeply saddened by the news of the loss of Heath. I know that you and Melissa were proud of his service but feared for his safety, as any parent would. As parents, we always want to protect our children from harm. But as our children grow into adults, they choose their own path and we can only stand by and observe and wrap them in our constant prayers.
Heath chose an amazing path, one filled with honor and danger. We thank your son for his service. Because of him and the other fine men and women of the military, we continue to enjoy the freedoms of our nation. His work was noble.
I know that you grieve for the life that Heath will not enjoy. Remember, we are here for just a moment and then we will be forever together in a far better place, with our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God Bless your family and hold you during this time.
Our Deepest Sympathies
"Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

To the Family of Pvt. Heath D. Warner:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

I am so sorry for your loss... I thought of your family many times this weekend. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
So many things are promised to us from God if we do not faint. What we don't count on is the impossible happening. And just when we feel as if we can breath no more and shall faint God picks us up. You know that heavy feeling when you feel as if all the air is being drawn from your chest??? Thats only God holding you tighter so that you know He's always there. I don't pretend to know what you're going through, but I promise you that God will comfort you. I pray continually for you Melissa, and your husband and all of those who know of the wonderful works and deeds of Heath. There is rest for the weary, where crying shall cease on the other side.
To the entire Warner family: What a tragedy to lose such a fine young man. I will continue to pray for you all each day.

THERE ARE THINGS THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO HAPPEN....
BUT HAVE TOP ACCEPT.
THERE ARE THINGS WE DO NOT WANT TO KNOW .....
BUT HAVE TO LEARN.
AND PEOPLE WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT...
BUT HAVE TO LET GO.
BUT PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER.....
DEATH LEAVES A HEARTACHE THAT NO ONE CAN HEAL.
LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN EVER STEAL.
I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, THANK YOU FOR RAISING SUCH A FINE ANGEL TO PROTECT US. MAY THE GOOD LORD BLESS AND KEEP YOU

We want to Thank your Son for fighting for Our Country. How very proud you must be of him! We hope you can find comfort in His memories at this difficult time. Our heartfelt synpathy.
Thank You Heath for protecting our country and defending our freedom. My deepest sympathies to your parents and family.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
