I will truly miss our talks and the sweet sounds you made.
I enjoyed Mr. Holloway's music and met him recently in LA at a Sunday brunch he played with Plas Johnson. What a dear man he was. He brought joy to so many lives.
“He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth. The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; the wagons he burns in the fire.”—Psalm 46:9.
Red was a member of the Lions Club of Cambria for many years. He will be sorely missed. I remember, just last year, Red was in town from one of his many worldly ventures. He came to one of the Lions dinners and performed for us for over an hour. We could not get enough of Red's wonderful sound. He will be playing his tune in heaven, now. We all will miss him dearly. Teri Lord
He will be sorely missed around Cambria: always ready to stop and chat, tell where he was off to next and of course, the memorable occasions when he played to packed audiences at the Hamlet.
God bless, Red, and God speed to your next gig.
Mr. Holloway was among the greatest. He will be missed. May the God of peace help you all to cope with your loss.

To the Family of James Holloway. I am so sorry for your loss and so are many others. Melody and harmony appears to be built into all of us. And you have only to hear the cheerful melody of a songbird or the soothing rhythm of lapping waves to know that music is a loving gift from our happy Creator. Music is medicine to the soul and to be able to have such a gift is a truly a blessing. James 1:17 says: . . .Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, for it comes down from the Father of the [celestial] lights, and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow.
My deepest sympathy to the family for the passing of your beloved James "Red" Holloway. God comforts those in mourning. Please find comfort in prayer (Isaiah 61:2).
TO THE HOLLOWAY FAMILY WE WILL LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU AT PSALMS 90:10 IN THEMSELVES THE DAYS OF OUR YEARS ARE SEVENTY YEARS; AND IF BECAUSE OF SPECIAL MIGHTINESS THEY ARE EIGHTY YEARS, JAMES " RED" HOLLOWAY WAS ONE OF THE MIGHTY ONES.
To the the family of James Holloway - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that "Red" will be missed by many.
