Previously, at this time, and for the future yet to be, remembering your son and the men and women of the past and present who have heroically served our country. May all the families who have lost men and women in the armed forces have the ability to endure and cope with the daily challenges in the absence of their loved onesyou and the many families like you are not forgotten! May the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force, retired, wounded and actively serving, obtain all their necessities: spiritual and temporal and be protected from all adversity-Amen.

My son, Thomas, just joined the Navy -- stationed in Hawaii -- in Sept.of this year there was a Heroes and Remembrance display for all the fallen military men and women since 9/11 - roughly 7,000. He contacted my husband - Retired Ssgt Robert D. Conkey and asked if he knew anyone that my son could try to find in the memorial and Bob said he knew both Cpl. Squires and Cpl Boskovitch. My son lovingly as brothers in military searched through the rows of boots and found both boys. He laid a lei around each boot and took pictures. I have made a framed memorial for each of the boys' parents/family but do not know how to reach them, so I am reaching out here - don't know if anyone will read this, but I hope so before 11/11/14 Veterans' Day but any time is appreciated.... With love to two families that I have never met, I cannot know your loss, but as I type this I can only imagine as my only son is 24 and just deployed.... Semper Fi... My email address is: if anyone can help my husband, Robert Conkey (he used to be at the Strongsville VF Post) or me, connect with these 2 families. My cell is 440-221-8100.

We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Boskovitch Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.

We remember [you]~

At the rising of the sun and at its going down,
We remember [you].

At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember [you].

At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring,
We remember [you].

At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer,
We remember [you].

At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn,
We remember [you].

At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember [you].

As long as we live, [you] too will live;
for [you] are always a part of us, as we remember [you].

When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember [you].

When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember [you].

When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember [you].

When we have decisions that are difficult to make,
We remember [you]

When we have achievements that are based on [yours],
We remember [you].

As long as we live, [you] too shall live,
for [you] are a part of us, as we remember [you].

The Marines' Hymn:
From the Halls of Montezuma,
To the Shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze,
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job --
Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded

Remembering Jeffrey always~

As we near the memorial holiday, I was pondering what I know of your son’s brief, but important and memorable life. In doing so, I just wanted to share with you that while most everyone can appreciate the significance of the loss of a loved one, loss is significant for the reason that for most of us, family is respectfully the most important possession in our lives. With certainty, exclusive of the experience of a loving and dedicated family (primary and peripheral) life’s experiences are often those of lesser happiness and modest subsistence…I know how happy your son was and especially how blessed your son was to have experienced a loving, supportive and devoted family such as you provided him—no bond can be more outstanding than that between a father and his family, especially his son.

I recognize the value and meaning of your loss and respectfully regard your son’s sacrifice to his country as nothing short of heroic—as I likewise deem the brave and courageous souls of the men before and after him.

Godspeed (God prosper you),

Thinking of you and your family this Christmas Day Jeff ~ Rest in Peace

December 25, 2009
Jeff ~ Rest in peace my son. I miss you. Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2009

Never Forgotten,
Dad, and the rest of your Family
December 24, 2009
Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone,In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone.I had come down the chimney, with presents to give and to see just who in this home did live

As I looked all about, a strange sight I did see,no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree.

No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand.

On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land.

With medals and badges, awards of all kind,a sobering thought soon came to my mind.

For this house was different, unlike any I'd seen.

This was the home of a U.S. Marine.

I'd heard stories about them, I had to see more,so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door.

And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone,Curled up on the floor in his one-bedroom home.

He seemed so gentle, his face so serene,Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine.

Was this the hero, of whom I’d just read?

Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed?

His head was clean-shaven, his weathered face tan.

I soon understood, this was more than a man.

For I realized the families that I saw that night, owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight.

Soon around the Nation, the children would play,And grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day.

They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year, because of Marines like this one lying here.

I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone,on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home.

Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye.

I dropped to my knees and I started to cry.

He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice,"Santa, don't cry, this life is my choice

I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more.

My life is my God, my country, my Corps."

With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep,I couldn't control it, I continued to weep.

I watched him for hours, so silent and still.

I noticed he shivered from the cold night's chill.

So I took off my jacket, the one made of red,and covered this Marine from his toes to his head.

Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold, with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold.

And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride, and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside.

I didn't want to leave him so quiet in the night, this guardian of honor so willing to fight.

But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure, said "Carry on, Santa, it's Christmas Day, all secure."

One look at my watch and I knew he was right,Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight.

Dear Son,
Even though you are with me daily I still miss the hugs and kisses from you. Tomorrow is Veterans Day and I just wanted to Thank You again (maybe for the 100th time) for your service. I think about you/talk to you all the time. I know there are some in Iraq that are thankful for your sacrifice. If there is anyway for you to and friends think about you always and sincerely appreciate what you've done for us. Someday soon we will meet again. Until then...just rest. I had to go away.
I'm sorry you couldn't come with me.
But on earth is where you shall stay.
Please do not be sad.
Instead laugh and be glad.
I'm in a beautiful place, such a beautiful place.
I know you wont see me for a while.
But you will hear from me.
I will be the wind that will chill you on a hot summer day.
I will be the sun that will warm you when it's cold.
Listen to the birds sing, I will be saying, "I love you" in their song.
I know you can't touch me.
But you will feel me.
Because I will be inside of you giving you life on the days you feel like you can't go on anymore.
Please I beg of you, go on, live your life as I lived mine.
Always remember we will be together again.
I will be patiently waiting for you on that day.
When you will join me in this beautiful place.
Until then may God bless you with his almighty grace.

February 09, 2009
We had a birhday celebration and family get together in your honor this past Saturday at the Fox & Hound. Happy birthday son, you would have been 29 today. Many of the Marines you served in Iraq with, most of your family, and many of your friends were there as well. We missed your not being there but felt your presence as we shared wonderful memories of the times we spent there together. The marines you were with in Iraq, (Ben, Mat, Sam, Mike, Kolby, Chris, Nate, Greg, Jim, Doug, Rory and all of the rest) have been so wonderful to me and our family. They have always been there like part of the family. I love them all and honor each for not only who they are but for what they represent. They have all helped me to understand so much and fill in the blanks. I will forever be grateful to each of them. They are truly a select breed of men and care about each other.
We will never forget you son. Thank you for all the great times and wonderful memories we will always cherish and hold closely.

Jeff and all Servicemen

Today is about remembering. Remembering all of our brave men and women who have fought for our country. Regardless of their individual future plans, dreams, or aspirations, they did what their country asked of them when it was asked.
They may have not all agreed on their mission or the logic behind all of the decisions being made... but when they received their orders, they carried them out. They relied on each other to cover them. They relied (and always will), on us to support them.
May god bless our troops. It is because of their selfless acts and courage that we may enjoy many of the priviledges we do today.
My sincere thanks and appreciation for all you have done. You will never be forgotten.
With love, honor, and deep respect.

I am very sorry for your loss and I hope you find the strength to go on with your lives as I am sure Jeffrey would have wanted.

As I watch my son, Jeffrey Allen, grow into a toddler, I can't wait to tell him about the man he was named after.

He will know what a hero is.

You will are the example.

Thank you again for your sacrifice, you will not be forgotten.

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Jeffrey, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

To the family of Jeffrey:

The loss of your beloved son recalls our “human condition” and the brevity of our lives on the precious earth. But for those who believe in our Lord’s love, loss is not the end, nor does it put an ending to the bonds that your beloved son forged, in so many lives!!! We share the beliefs of your son's faith and we are united in hope, with all those who faithfully believe, in the "Prince of Peace.” May God bring the light of “His” presence to you all~ allowing all of your family’s anguish to lessen--we pray for Jeffrey frequently, and for all those who love him—--there were so many who knew him and loved him and we continue to miss him forever too, through our Lord~Amen.

Dear Jeff,

Just thining of you today, hoping your doing well wherever you are. Thanks again for all that you have done for this Country, hopefully all those friends of yours can be pulled to safety soon, keep watching over them as well as your family.

When the security of our land is threatened,
We call on our soldier's might,
To go wherever they're needed,
To defend us day and night.

They leave their loves ones behind,
A great price our soldiers must pay.
Let us salute their courage and bravery,
May we remember them each time we pray.

Each time we spot "Old Glory"
Waving for all to see,
Let's think of all the soldiers that have
Kept it flying proud and free.

This great country is tolerant
Of cultures from other lands,
But, when they attack our precious freedom
We will punish with a heavy hand.

Our soldiers are tried and true,
Tempered like carbon steel,
Born of American Spirit;
Raised with American will.

Remember our fallen heroes that died,
So freedom may grow,
To nations around the world,
Wherever our warriors may go.

Take Care and God Bless you always!

To the family of Jeffrey:
Around the country this holiday, as in the years that preceded, nestled with our colorful ornaments and bright lights are the portraits of our fallen service members, listing their names, ages and the details of their untimely passings, "a pair of boots still dirty from the sands of Iraq, a flak jacket and a helmet sit under the tree," an ever reminder of the grief of so many fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters who have lost their loved ones, honoring they who have given "the ultimate of ultimate" sacrifices! Indeed, nothing prepared us for 911---and the suffering that so many are undergoing, brings so much forever sadness on all sides!!! But along with the suffering of so many, it has also brought forth a determination that good should prevail!!! As a nation, we have all suffered in the loss of your loved one and all the others--on all sides--whose memories we treasure--Jeffrey was an extrodinary man (as are all of those who remain in the battle-on land, at sea and in the air) and whose presence we deeply miss, but whose courage and bravery was so amazing...this courage past (and present) speaks to us of the extraordinary strength of our human spirit and our determination for resolve--my prayers are for your family and so many others--the fallen, the serving and the innocent on all sides, that good will and peace will ultimately prevail AMONG ALL!!!
May God bless your family,"UNITED WE STAND"

I miss you so much. It's just not the same not having you around.

The Reunion Heart

Since Heaven has become your home
I sometimes feel I'm so alone
and though we now are far apart
you still hold a big piece of my heart

I never knew how much I'd grieve
When it was time for you to leave
Or just how much my heart would ache
from that one fragment you would take

God Lets this tender hole remain
reminding me we'll meet again
and one day all the pain will cease
When he restores this missing piece

He'll turn to joy my every tear
with thoughts of you I hold so dear
and they'll become my special way
to treasure on our reunion day.

Loss confers a heartache that no one can make well; while Love bestows a commemoration no one can take possession of---my deepest condolences to your family—and sharing the below scriptural reading and prayer with you, in memory of your dear son:

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to leave;
A time to plant, and a time
to pull up what is planted;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones,
and a time to gather stones together,
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

May the all authoritative and ever-living God, guard our beloved country, delivering us always from harm and peril. And may He protect our land and its peoples from those enemies within our very borders and those whom are "insincere and in waiting” outside, granting all an early peace with victory founded upon His justice. Lastly, may He instill and let resonate in the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere, a firm purpose to live forever-in peace and good will toward all, in His name—Amen!

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Never forgetting…
May he and the others
keep watch over us
our Lord’s consolations
and peace to
his family—

Independence, Ohio
August 02, 2007

It's difficult to believe that two years have
passed and even so,
every time I learn of another fallen soldier,
it is an ever reminder of our
much-loved Jeffrey
and though the memory of his beautiful and
honorable memorial is respectfully remembered,
it is still overly regrettable, nonetheless!
In addition, is the increasing overall human cost
(and staggering number of
the precious lives of fellow-Catholics)
whose persons are forever absent or
dreadfully injured, that tears at the hearts
and souls of ALL AMERICANS!

And it is with sobering clarity,
That I am reminded of the prayer
Of St. Francis of Assisi:

Lord, make me an instrument of
Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be
consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

When the above mentions by St. Francis, wholly derived from the coveted tennants and demands of the master of peace, Jesus Christ himself, resonate and proceed to be lived, we will have another opportunity for goodness in our world--and let peace begin with each and everyone of us!

I"m so sorry for the passing of Jeffrey (and so many others, particuarly the suffering of the newly injured--on all sides!).

God's blessings to you all--

Ann and family,

Jeff ~

On the 2nd anniversary of your death, we remember your sacrifice to our country. I pray that you are resting in peace. We miss you son.
July 14, 2007
To the family:

The narrative of our armed forces —just like the stories of all soldiers around the world who perished under the pretext of “peace, liberty and freedom,"—is not completed. Indeed, they will one day, live again; post the re-establishment and renewal of our troubled and anxious world. And what they were unable to accomplish by their death in the name of “peace, liberty and freedom,” they will be able to accomplish by their new lives in the resurrection to be, but in “His” name only, will our thirst for “peace, liberty truth and freedom" have its satisfaction and generously prosper.

Jeffrey was an honorable soldier, citizen and a beloved friend and I remember his wonderful love for his family always--my prayers to you all!

Dear Boskovitch Family

Unfortunately I never had the chance to cross paths with Jeff. I have worked at National City the last three years and I had the pleasure to meet with Kathy Wright and Jeff's Brother at a gathering at the Blind Pig about a year back.
I took up my chance to enlist in the US Marine Corps this past January. Unfortunately my training is at a halt due to injury, but upon completion I would have been stationed with 3/25. I look forward to getting back in training someday to live out my dream.
But I wanted to say that I have read so many stories about Jeff both on National City's website and others, and I wish every day that I could have had the chance to meet him. Jeff is definitely in a better place now, and his legacy is not forgotten. It's amazing that all of the Marines down at the Island still talk about 3/25 and the sacrifice they made. Jeff is truly missed by all his fellow Marines. My prayers go out to all of you.
May God Bless!

God bless Jeffrey’s memory~
Indeed, he and the others like him, were just ordinary young folks, performing a quite well known and highly publicized, perilous mission! In addition, as concerns the latter mention, it is no question that in this matter; only the youth of a particular country (here and around the world) are disposed to absorption in the name of and in the pursuit of purported need and hopeful good!

And though we all convene with our maker at some unknown time, even so; life is coveted and precious and the loss of sooooo many, many, good and strong and faithful young men and women (whom we are in need of) are a dual loss in that it is they who were especially desirable and overly important to society---but regrettably, this is the far too often outcome of the desirable and many respectable among us!

Your son is missed without end—what a wonderful young man he was to me and my family---his person and his many kindnesses are etched and forever, lovingly remembered!

With prayerful good wishes for peace in our world and God's blessings to his wonderful father and mother--you are in my prayers always!!!

Dear Jeff,
Another 4th of July has come and gone. Last nite as I watched the
neighborhood fireworks, I fondly remembered all the 4th of July times we had and how you always tried to talk me into getting you
some really BIG fire crackers. You
really enjoyed those days and I am
blessed to have been a part of them and your life. You always made the 4th of July something
special for me because of your
excitement and enthusiasm. Now

Wow bud, it's been 2 years already since your final mission. Alot has happened since then. I was back in Parma last month, the city itself has changed alot since you and I both saw it last. I got the helmet, rifle and boots memorial tattooed on my leg in your honor. A 252 tattoo artist drew it from a pic I saved from the memorial your unit had after they returned.

I've got more close friends over in the sandbox, and I'm waiting to see if I'm going that way or if I'm going to get out of the Navy at the end of the year. Alot of sailors are on the ground over there with the Marines and Army since Uncle Sam is running you guy's ragged and need some extra help.

Keep watch on those still in the fight and try to get as many home safe as you can.

Take care Jeff, you're in a better place now.

I can’t conceive of the dutiful and faithful love, kindness and loyalty that your entire family must have and certainly exemplify with regard to one another that Jeffrey would be capable of sacrificing his very life on behalf of an unknown people to us, in a very far-away land! Wow!—how truly amazing and sincere the familial devotion to one another must have been and must be present that your son would have the capacity for such an utterly amazing sacrifice for people unknown to ourselves, on behalf of patriotism and love of country!!! And just as respectable camaraderie in families is necessary for the success of all her members, so too, this aspect for success in our military undertakings and objectives abroad!

Well Jeff,

Your favorite holiday is fast approaching. I wish we could see the fireworks from your eyes. I am sure it's going to be amazing to say the least. It's really about the freedom so many, as well as you, have sacrificed for us and it's unfortunate how so many just take it for granted.

We miss your laughter, we miss you! Please continue to watch over your brother and sister and keep them from harms way.

We will remember you as our HERO forever Son and keep you in our prayers.

Happy 4th of July! Stay out of trouble up when you can.

Love you more ~

Jeffrey was truly an amazing guy. I went to NHS and he was always a nice guy to everyone there. Then a few years later I ran into him when he was being an escort at my cousins pageant in North Royalton. And not a thing changed, he was still such a sweet guy. I keep the yellow ribbon with his name on it in my car at all times, just to remember the bravery he showed our country. You will always be remembered Jeff!

Each Memorial day takes on a whole different meaning for our family since August 1st 2005. Each time I am with a gathering to honor you and all of our hero's, I become more aware of the depth of phrases like "All Gave Some, Some Gave All", "Freedom Isn't Free" and "For God, Country, and Family". I am still missing you big time Jeff (and always will).... but I know that if you had it to do all over again, there probably wouldn't be much that was different. Continue to show me your rays of insight and guidance.

Love, honor, and respect always, Dad

To the family:

Prayerfully remembering your outstanding son (and all the countless others: grieving, injured and on active duty) on this special weekend~and how brave, courageous, valiant, faithful, and heroic they all are—indeed, your beloved son and all of our military persons are our forever heroes, whatever the bias, a propos of the undertaking!!! My deepest condolences are with you always (most especially this weekend)and as you, we will miss him without end, too!!!

Also, sharing with your family the below prayer for our still active service men and women:

All-powerful, ever-living and ever-loving, illustrious redeemer and most excellent champion of peace, when the memorable patriarch Abram left his native land and departed from his kinfolk you kept him safe through all his journeys. Give pleasure, we beseech thee to protect our armed forces that they who are in the midst of so much wretched tragedy, may return home in wellbeing. Be their constant companion and their strength in the dreadful struggle of combat and their refuge in every adversity. Guide them (our soldiers) and our country’s leaders (and they of other nations), that your formerly liberating communiqués of peace, love and brotherhood and sisterhood, may be realized in our day, in all your beloved creations of our time and again, seemingly, endlessly intolerant world—

Never forgetting his sacrifice or that of the many others and with the choicest of prayers for peace and love!

Sorry I am late but I just knew somewhere in the back of my mind that your birthday was around this time. I wish I could have known you personally... your Mom and I have become friendly with email and somehow, that gives a little more comfort in feeling I knew you. You shared many days and nights with Dave, and if there was anything I could be thankful for, it is that you became not only friends, but brothers, while fighting this war. There is one certainty in this matter what happens in the end, the memories we have is what keeps our loved ones alive. So, thank you Jeff. In your own indirect way to me, you gave my dear friend love, friendship, protection and loyalty till the end. May you always know that you touched more lives than you knew...Happy Birthday in heaven.

To the Family and Friends,

I am sincerely deeply sorry for your loss. My family and I prayed when the 3-25 left for Iraq and we continue to pray for the 3-25 and all the service members who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and All Around the World. We are all deeply sorry for the loss of all the brave men and women who sacrificed for what we as Americans stand for. Their dedication, drive, force, love and respect for our country will never be forgotten. As a person who once trained with the 3-25 I just want to say that no matter who may come and go through the 3rd Battalion 25th Marine Regiment, you will all be considered family and friends!

God Bless and May You All Have Peace,

To the family of Jeffrey:

I said a prayer for your family today and asked our Lord to touch you in so many blessed and special ways--and I don't know if he heard me, but faith says that this is so--and I thanked him for the beauty of the person of your son, whom I knew and for his love of our country--He was so young and he will be missed always---but may his legacy and that of the other men (so many heart wrenching stories, especially of the brave injured), never be forgotten for their exceptional love and support for our beloved country!

The Lord’s blessings to you all,

Today is a special day in which we honor and give thanks for the great sacrifices our veterans have made toward shaping this geat country we are so fortunate to be living in.
To you in particular Jeff, I am sssoooooo proud of you. Before entering the Marine Corps. You showed me, and many others, that you understood things like repect, morals, and value systems. You "Got It" Your willingness, committment, and determination to help others who could not help themselves will always inspire us in areas we are not as strong in. Thank you Jeff.
With love, honor, and deep respect for all that you are....

To Jeff's Family,
I think of Jeff often, much like my friend Sgt. David Coullard who was with him that fateful day. He and Dave come into my thoughts frequently... their faces with that confident look and unwavering spirit... I truly enjoy when they seem to appear out of seemingly nowhere. Knowing Dave is next to Jeff in this Guestbook picture always makes me feel they had the utmost confidence and trust in one another... and that does make me feel better. I wish I had the honor of knowing Jeff... but I feel in a way I did know him because he and Dave shared some of their last moments together. I feel he must have been a very strong, brave, passionate and courageous soldier... not to mention, a wonderful son. To Jeff's mom, Kathy, I think of you often and want you to know that time has not lessened how much I think of your son. I know he and Dave are probably guarding the gates with some pretty fierce sniper rifles in hand... I certainly can't see them having it any other way. Please know you are in my thoughts always...

With love,
November 01, 2006
Dear Jeffrey,

God bless your memory and may your family be comforted in the knowledge that one day, those responsible, will come to justice..

To the Family of Cpl. Jeffrey A. Boskovitch:
If your child can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 as well and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for right now. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten . You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.
Proud Parents of SFC Brent A. Adams, KIA, 12/1/05, Ramadi, Iraq

Well Jeff, It's been five years since 9/11 and the memories are still with me each and every day. As I think of this day - I think of you and what you did for this country because of what this day started. I know it's much more and goes beyond 9/11 but it puts it in much more perspective knowing that you and all of the others who fought for our freedom and fought to protect our soil. This week is very special to me as well as your mom I am certain. People at work including myself and your mom are working to support your foundation buy selling items and raffling off prizes and taking donations for your cause. We have been wearing ribbons in support of you as well as 9/11 and many people have lent a hand in this to make it special. You would be very proud of what people can accomplish when working together, people who never even knew you to just come out and lend a helping hand for such a great cause. Your foundation will become greatness and you will never be forgotten. It will give the kids who need it a chance and opportunity at a better college education for their future. That is something I am certain you would love to know. I give your mom so much credit, I have seen her lately, and everytime I look at her I think of you and know how hard it must be for her to deal with life without you here, but know that she seems to be doing great and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you again for all you have done to make our world a better place. You will always be remembered for your bravery Jeff. Love and Peace until next time.

To the family:

Saluting your son (and the many others) who dedicated themselves to defending our country--God bless their memories, your son's especially!
September 10, 2006
To Jeffrey's Family:

Always remembering your son’s outstanding service to our country and his considerate and loving person and I maintain daily prayerful vigils for peace, love and understanding, as concerns our country (as well as that of others). And though I am against operations on all sides, whatever our religious beliefs, or political persuasions, without equivocation, in consideration of so much, especially from that of a historical perspective, I am convinced that, "united we stand and divided we will surely, falter!"

May our Lord, bless our country (and that of others) that we may all, soon be the partakers of the intended, trust and sustained, peace and love, as was originally intended and that which all mankind is surely entitle to.

My love and prayers to your family always,

Hi Jeff, it's Mom.

Just wanted you to know how many wonderful and supportive people are in our lives since your passing.

I miss you son.

Beans is doing much better. She had her coming out day last Saturday and did pretty well with all the people around. She is still afraid of "everything" but we are working with her to have her overcome this. She tries hard. I know you probably would of done a lot better of a job with her than I...but, we're doing the best we can. She will be fine...I kind of think you knew that. How much I wish I would have given you more credit for knowing what you did.

I hope you are resting worries...until we meet again... I love you so very much.
September 03, 2006
To Jeffrey's Family,

Please always remember that our many heartfelt, prayerful remembrances are forever with you and your family (and the other young men and women, who with great courage and love dedicated themselves to our country). "No greater friends have ye, than they who would lay down their life for their brother (country)." And I still cry when I think of him and the many kind efforts toward ourselves from him—he is always missed and always lovingly, remembered! God bless his family and our hero is your hero—may his courage and the many kindnesses of his person, never be forgotten!!!

The Lord's blessings to you all,

I only knew you for a very short time. My LOSS. In that short amount of time I came to know and love you, your brother, sister, and your mother and grandmother. What a wonderful family to have.
You probably didn't know this but you really touched the lives of all of us in that short amount of time. Travis thought you were the "best" because you loved "HALO" as much as he did. When Tyler lived there he said you made him feel so welcome. Toby just thought you were cool. Uncle Rod and I saw a compassionate and strong man with the love and innocence of a young boy. I believe you are in a much better place now, but know that you are loved and missed each and every day since you've been gone.
We are so proud of you and you truly are "OUR HERO".
Always in our hearts
Always in our Minds,

To our Hero Jeff,
My feeling for time has changed forever Jeff, because of you...
A year used to seem so long, but the gut wrenching pain of finding out of your excellent life cut short remains so strong, seems like yesterday. Evidence that it will remain strong forever for me and everyone who knew you, not to mention the people that are just learning about you, what you stood for so bravely and fought for to the bitter end.
You will always be an icon for men everywhere. Our Hero.
Not only do I believe that you will NEVER be forgotten, but men of all age groups will be studying the life and times of Jeffrey A Boskovitch for a very long time.
It still amazes me when I think of how strong you were fighting so hard in that Hell of a war, because you were so kind, gentle, polite and fun. You made it easy to remember the happy times.
I saw a bald eagle today and I thought of you Jeff. You soared like that eagle for your country, so beautiful graceful yet bold and strong.
Your grandmother said "if we miss a step, hold out your hand" you have a lot of hands to watch for my friend as many a good people would gladly reach for yours with a lot of trust.
Watch for mine!
Love Uncle Rod

There's nothing I can add to what's already so eloquently been said, there's not much I can do to honor someone who gave everything for his country and his fellow citizens because all I have are words.

Corporal Boskovitch lived with honor and died with honor and those of us living in the peace he provided can never truly understand the sacrifice he made for us.

They say memorials are ultimately for the living but I truly mean this for Corporal Boskovitch, you Sir, are my hero.

Though I did not know you, you have touched my heart. The way you lived your life, albeit short, was that of a good man. You are truly an inspiration. May the Lord bless you and your family today and every day.
August 02, 2006

You birthdays ended at age 25. Now we start counting over again. It's the 1st anniversary of your death.

Brian, Kim and I miss you very much. It's truly not the same around the house without you. On one hand we are so very proud of you and on the other hand the ache in our hearts is a terrible pain. The only thing that let's us put one foot in front of the other is our faith which leads us to believe we will all be united again. We must all go on to finish our jobs as well. Hopefully, we will do it with the same honor, courage and respect that you did. You left very big shoes to fill Jeff. I sincerely don't know if anyone can begin to even come close to the sacrifice that you gave so freely. Please guide us day to day and give us the knowledge and strength to continue in your absence.

Love you more honey ~
August 02, 2006
Your contributions to this country will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace.
August 02, 2006
Especially remembering your dear son today (and the many others) whose loyalty and dedication to our country will always be highly regarded and in quoting another, “Life is no life to him that dares not die. And death no death to him that dares not live."

When Jeffrey enlisted in the marines; he believed the mission in Iraq, as purposeful and obligatory from the perspective of our countries desires and in this sentiment, may purposeful victory and lasting peace come to that region soon—so many families have suffered so much (here and abroad) !

May God bless his memory (and those of his fellow soldiers, both living and injured) and thank you to his parents for his character, dedication and loyalties to our country—so many lessons to be learned here—and may lasting peace and love in our world be realized soon!
August 02, 2006

May your sacrifice never be forgotten.
August 02, 2006
I still cannot find the right words to express how proud I am of you and how grateful I am. I do not deserve your sacrifice nor will I ever be worthy. On this your one year anniversary I simply wanted to thank you again. You are in my thoughts daily. I love and miss you. We all do.

And cherished memories never fade,

Those we love can never be,

For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

My head is full of thoughts about the sequence of events that unfolded just one year ago today. I find myself caught up in feelings of tremendous pride, grief, or anger with one emotion displacing the other intermittently.
This is a difficult day for all of us who love and miss you so much. Your presence is evident and felt often. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, miss you, or cherish those memories I have with you. God had a plan for you that we cannot comprehend.
Those words you and I shared on the weekend of your deployment will be forever embedded in my heart and soul. When you said to me that you didn't have a good feeling about returning home from Iraq, I told you that I could break your arm if necessary. You responded...Dad, this is something I have to do as part of my development into a man -
whatever happens, it will be my destiny and I can't change that.
You also said that there are too many people that have learned how to endlessly debate decisions and there has to be people that can get up off their butt's and do what our country asks them to do. Can you imagine what this country would be like today if everyone just sat around and debated the merits of every decision without ultimately taking any action? Our country is what it is today because of what we stand for and our willingness to fight for it if necessary. It is not for me to question my commander in chief, we the people elected him to represent our country.
You spoke with such passion that nothing I might have said could have added to it. It was obvious to me how deeply you felt and I am ssoooo proud of you.

With love, honor, and deep respect,
Your father

My Dearest Grandson,
It's been a year since our lives were changed forever. A year since that faithful day when your mission ended, and ours began. We still struggle to get beyond the grief and try to remember only the happy times we shared. You gave the family and friends so many wonderful memories that even now in this painful moment I see your face and I have to smile through my tears. The pain of your passing and your ultimate sacrifice will be remembered by many this day, and a proud Grandmother will stand near the top of the list. Your family and I will continue this mission to forever keep your memory alive, you deserve no less. We will march forward now, trying only to remember how brave you were, as we follow in the footsteps of a HERO. If we miss a step Jeff, hold out your hand.

Loving you always and forever
Grandma Zakel

To the family of Jeffrey:

As the anniversary of the passing of your son nears, I wanted you to know that even though I only knew of your family in a peripheral way, it was never the less, difficult to get through the days this time last year and even now. Also, while time will never heal your son’s meaningful and untimely passing, my strength has been renewed in both my loving memories of his person and the extraordinarily beautiful memorial service on his behalf—in having known Jeffrey personally, this was an experience that still evokes a lot of emotion for me...

My prayers are for peace and understanding and love in our world and in particular, always with you and your family and "UNITED WE STAND!"

God bless,

Well it's been almost a year in a few days and it just seems like it was yesterday. Your a great guy Jeff and your family is proud for the accomplishments you completed in life when you were here. There are so many words and so many tears but missing you and thinking of you certainly does help when writing here. You did a great job protecting the ones you love, the strangers, your friends and your family who don't forget your memory as each passing day goes by. Your mom is probably the proudest. She is so brave and so strong and keeps your memory going each and every day. It's nice to be able to come here and say how you feel and let you know what are thoughts are. Thank you again for your hard work and dedication to serving this country and making it better for everyone else in it. Your memory will live on forever and there won't be a day that goes by that I don't stop and take a moment to thank you for what you have done. Every day when I get up and go to work or leave the house and your picture is on the back of my van, it's a reminder of what you have done and I think of you often. Just keep watching over the ones who need it, even the ones who don't think they do. Thank you again Jeff ------ God should be proud to have someone up there like you by his side.

You started out as a silly child
Always having that mischievous smile
Some people commented you were wild
But you were only challenging them for awhile

In grade school you were an average Joe
Never staying quiet in your seat
You were always there for friend or foe
Racing through life never missing a beat

High School had some glorious years
Playing football under those lights
Quarterbacking brought to life your fears
But never once did they see your fright

In college Mom saw you start to mature
But in your heart you still loved your toys
You graduated class president that was for sure
And went on to be a sheriff with the good ‘ole boys

2001 you signed up and joined the Marines
They made you a Scout Sniper and that was your trade
You fell in love with a dog named “Beans”
There in Iraq where you offered your aid

Now I sit and talk to the brightest star
Wishing you were here to hug and be kissed
You died too young and away too far
What a fine job you did Son, you are so missed.

Love you Jeff :o) XXXOOO

Hi Jeff,

I just want you to know that I think of you often. It's hard to believe one year will be here soon. On that day, I vow I will celebrate your life as I will of my dear friend, Sgt. David Coullard, who was with you that day. You both live on in spirit as I look at pictures of you guys together. You will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives you have touched, including my own. I think of your mom all the time as well and pray for her in this upcoming week. She is truly an amazing woman and is so very proud of you and your accomplishments. Keep her strong.

To Jeff's Family,
Just to let you know you are thought of in a special way today... To Jeff's mom, Kathy, thank you for the beautiful email. It meant a great deal to me and I want you to know that. I would like to thank you for allowing Jeff to follow his dream and pursue a life much more fulfilling -and dangerous- than most of us would ever dare choose. He chose to fight for those whose lives are not free, and in turn, kept the freedom and independence here that we cherish so much. You are an inspiration and your son's beautiful life and courage in the face of real fear is an inspiration beyond words. Thank you and I'm sending you hugs today~

Dear James (& family),

In knowing you respectfully, as well as that of your family, I wanted to share with you how enamored so many are of your personal strength during this enormously difficult time and how cherished and respected the memory of your son is to so many—he always made the effort to be obliging to those who needed him—and his many kindnesses will never be forgotten!! And while I don’t know personally those other families who have lost loved ones in this conflict, I can only imagine in having peripherally experienced the loss of your son and the immensity of emotion surrounding all this, coupled with the unquestionable honor and tribute due him and all of our fallen heroes, in the mission to attempt to free others from world recognized tyranny and oppression, is estimable only, whatever the outcome, to that of Hero!!!
JFK, in his famous inaugural speech said: “ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country” and on Memorial Day, respectfully, to your son and the many fallen others who bravely and without hesitation answered the call of duty—well done!!! well done!!!

To the family:

On this weekend, in respectful remembrance of the many precious lives lost, especially those of recent, we are sorrowfully reminded of the price of freedom!

May this present conflict come to an end soon and the many that have perished in the struggle (and the injured) never be forgotten—they answered their countries call without reservation and for that, they will always be remembered!

My prayers are with you always!

Hi Jeff,
I think of you often as I do of my dear friend who died with you that day, Sgt. David Coullard. Today I also have your mom, Kathy, on my mind. We have emailed a few times and she is a strong woman but you knew that. Sadly, Dave's mom is attending another funeral tomorrow in Arlington Cemetary. It is for Capt. Brian Letendre, killed last week. The sad irony is that Captain Letendre delivered the horrible news to Dave's mom that her son was KIA and was the Marine presenting the Purple Heart to her at his funeral. He stood by her as a pillar of strength and was an exemplary Marine during the hardest time of her life. It is with sadness that this circle grows. Please keep your mom close and know you are not forgotten. Kathy, you are thought of often and are in my prayers. Jeff, please say hi to Dave for me... With love, Brenda

Jeff was a great kid, he introduced me to a whole lot of interesting people at normandy high school...
My reguards go out to his family.
April 21, 2006
I never had the privledge of meeting you in person but I feel as though I know you. I work with your mother Kathy and she is a dear friend to me. I myself just became a mother to a beautiful baby boy. I just found out I was pregnant when I attended your funeral and wake. That was obviously a very emotional time for me. I had also just lost my grandmother the week before.

Attending your services was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced, it completely changed my life. I can't say that I understand what your mother has gone through or continues to deal with, but now as a mother of a 1 month old (born 03/21/06), I can only image the love your mother has for you. My love for my son grows every day, just as hers contiues to grow for you! Since I am on maternity leave, I really miss hearing the stories from your mother of you and your brother and sister! Good ones and bad ones!!

I have your military magnet proudly displayed on my SUV. In parking lots and on the street, I often see people trying to get a better look at it. I look at them, no words just a nod of the head and big smile is exchanged.

I think of you often and pray for your entire family.
April 18, 2006
for Cpl Boskovitch, i am sorry we couldnt help you that day.
You are in a better place, with our brothers. Too many are being reassigned too soon. But we will all be there. Till then, look after those of us still out there, and your family.

for the family, request to copy some of his photos to add to the memorial profile i built on a Marine Website. if you wouldnt mind, i would like to use them. If you would like an invitation to the website, just email me. The site is for all Marines and the families of the fallen. It is a great place to find some understanding.

I have the privilege of working with Kathy Wright, Jeff's wonderful mother and also had the distinct privilege of meeting and talking with Jeff on occasions. I know from meeting him, from speaking with him, and from talking to Kathy about him what a wonderful young man he was. I know he is deeply missed by every one he touched in life. I would also add that, as a Vietnam combat veteran myself in what was a very different era, I am proud of our country and how far we have come in honoring heroes such as Jeff.
March 27, 2006
Dearest Jeff:

I write to you today for help and strength. I received an email today from my cousin in reference to your cousin Chris Vlcek's little girl Abbey. I know you know what is happening with her and she is struggling right now to survive. I have known Chris and Kelly for a long time now. Please watch over Abbey and please give her family and yours, especially, Chris, Kelly and Drew the strength to get through this together. If anything they need a miracle, please watch over them and keep Abbey safe. Thank you Jeff.
March 07, 2006
I really don't even know what to write. Jeff and I went to Normandy together. We were not best friends, but sort of ran in the same circle of friends somewhat. When I heard Jeff had died, I was in the Outer Banks on vacation. My mom and friend Diane both called to tell me. Ever since that day, I have wished that I knew Jeff better. He is truly my hero now along with all other American troops serving all over. I cry when I think about his family and what he went through for us. I am so grateful. I could never be brave enough to do what they do. Thank you Jeff's family for supporting him and loving him. You are all in my prayers down here in North Carolina.
March 05, 2006
remembering you forever and always and for every day of every minute of ever second, you are in our hearts and your memory is beautiful to us--until we meet again, I am praying for your family and all of the military in harms greater love has another than he who would risk everything in defense of his fellow citizens, thank you (and to all of our brave men and women in the military)!!Saluting you for your service and missing you forever!
March 02, 2006
I have never met Jeff, but I do know Kim and Brian. I just wanted to let your family know that you are in my prayers everyday. Because of your son/brother my family can live with just alittle more peace.

To the family of Cpl. Jeffrey A. Boskovitch:
I was visiting our postings on regarding our son and read the page on your Hero. I just wanted you to know that I know how you feel, and although we don't know each other, will probably never meet, we will forever be united in the grieve and loss of our sons. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you are able to begin to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. God Bless this courageous young man and his family.

The real testimony to ones personal greatness is in the loving preservation of his memory once he has left here--your son Jeffrey left here in his youth, yet the length of our time is not as important as the fullness of our lives and the capacity with which we dedicate ourselves and so despite his brief sojourn, his epitath is lasting and admirable. May his family find comfort knowing that so many mourn with them and for the loss of all of our finest men--they have left here, having given the ultimate sacrifice, but they are not forgotten! God bless you all and may God bless our country!

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

Jeff, It is Christmas Day as I write this, and I just wanted you and your family to know you are in our hearts. Each day as I put on my uniform to go to work, I remember how lucky I am to be doing the job you dreamed of. As one writer said, "I will never again meet a Marine without feeling a sense of reverence"...this is because of you, my friend. I will never forget the dream you gave up so that a guy like me could stay free at home and live mine.

Dear Grandson Jeff,
I know that you are up in heaven watching all the preparations taking place for the Christmas Eve Dinner, at Uncle Dan's this year. All the fussing that is taking place as Gramps is trying to get things together. It is a trying job at my age but extremely gratifying knowing that my Sons and Daughters and Grand children will be there.

To renew the spirit of the Christ Child into our hearts and to extend the wish to one another. Remember the honey and garlic that exemplify sweetness and bitterness of life. We have both this Christmas we are without your physical presence on Earth. Sweetness...knowing that you are with our Savior.

You sacrificed your life so that all in our Great Country can have this evening with one another in Peace. I remember you saying..."Gramps, I believe that I am doing the right thing. Everyone deserves what we have!" You told that to me before departing for Iraq. I know you sincerely believed in the cause and willing to fight for it.

As I sit here typing, I can hardly see the key board as tears of grief well into my eyes. I love you Jeff. We miss you...Thank you Jeff. I know that You are in a better place. Always in our prayers. Always in our hearts. Always in our thoughts. JMJ Always.

Love Gramps.............Grandpa Bosko

Dear Jeff:

It's Christmastime...your family must miss you. I know I do and I did not even know you. I think it's because I see the pain in your mom's eyes, she tries so hard to be strong but I can see how much she misses her boy. I am not sure how Heaven operates during Christmas, but I bet it's a wonderful place to be. One day we will all get the chance to experience it.

Watch over your family, especially your mom. Thanks again for your braveness and doing the right thing for the world. Until I write again.... God Bless!

Dear Son ~

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you. We miss you dearly. We have come to accept the pain we live with everyday and go on.

During this Holiday Season, I hope you and your brothers will be watching over their families and caring for the ones that need you most. I don't know what Christmas is like in Heaven... but, I hope you are at peace and happy.

Until we see each other again... Merry Christmas. I Love you more.
December 20, 2005
To Jeff's family and friends,
We think of Jeff often but even more as Christmas approaches. We lost David Coullard, a good friend of Jeff's in the batallion, so we understand and feel your immense loss. We know that Jeff, David and their Marine brothers are watching us from heaven and have their own star in the sky. As we celebrate this Christmas with heavy hearts, they would want us to remember all of the wonderful memories they gave us in this lifetime. Our gift to them this Christmas should be to remember the undying spirit and unmeasurable courage they had in following their heart. When we do that, they will never really die because their spirit will live on within all of us.

In rememberance of Jeff always but especially during this holiday season...
November 26, 2005
I went to Middle school with your son. I didn't know him that well but I myself have been over there and I am in the military. I take care of Marines everyday. I want to send my sympothy to you and your family.

Dear Boskovitch Family,
I was deeply saddened to recently hear of your immense loss. As a youth I did attend St Charles gradeschool in Parma, Ohio. I do recall befriending Jeff during his time at St. Charles. Even though many years have passed, I remember Jeff as being a good friend and it is obvious he developed into an exceptional man. I am truly greatful for individual's such as Jeff that possess the courage necessary to risk everything in order to protect the freedom that many take for granted. Jeff was truly a hero. I will be sure to keep Jeff and all of you in my prayers, God bless.

As Thanksgivng draws near, I felt the need to give thanks to you, and Jeff for protecting the freedom of not only myself, but the freedom of my 11 mo old daughter. He gave the ultimate sacrifice, as did you all as well...You all will be in my prayers this Holiday season.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

We heard of the death of your son from our daughter, who lives in Seven Hills. I pray each day that there will never be another loss of life or limb in this horrible conflict. God Bless your beautiful son for giving his life so that all of us in this country can be free.

To Jeff's family,
I had asked David to send some pictures home. The two were of David and Jeff by the river and the one with his gun. I smiled when I looled at Jeff and thought how strong and good they both looked. I remember thinking that they would look out for each other. that they would be ok.
I know how Your Jeff is missed. there is not a second that does not go by that I think of those pictures of them.
To Katherine and family
Greg, my husband and I will be attending the ceramony on Saterday in Cleveland, Ohio, and I really would would love to talk to you.

November 07, 2005
I have been meaning to sign this guest book for a long time. However Jeff's death had a far greater impact on me than I ever expected. I was just at lost for words and didn't even know where to begin.
I worked with Jeff in security at Six Flags and remember him as being a very enjoyable and humorous person to be around. He could always make you smile and get a good laugh out of you. I feel very privileged that I had the chance to work with him.
Jeff will forever be known as a hero, for he gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country and to better that of humanity. He is an inspiration to myself and many others. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. I will never forget what an amazing person he was. To the Boskovitch family you have my deepest sympathies. God bless you.

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.- Joseph Campbell

May G-d ease your pain and may you only revel in the pride you have for your son. I thank him for his sacrafice. Though I never knew him, I fell diminished by his loss. He was a hero. And, with tears in my eyes, I will tell my children about a courageous man who loved his country and adopted a little dog.
Bless you and hug his doggy for me.
God rest his noble soul.

October 30, 2005
My family and I are deeply saddened by your loss. His grandfather, Daniel Boskovitch, is my Uncle Danny; his father James, one of my many cousins. Jeff was such a handsome young man, I'm sure you were all very proud of him. As a mother of four children, I can only imagine your pain, our children are never supposed to go first. Jeff died while doing what he so strongly believed in, and for that, he must certainly be enjoying the multitude of blessings of Heaven. He did his duty in protecting this world. James, I'm so utterly sorry that he's no longer here with you. The world is a little less richer without the likes of charismatic young men like Jeff walking the face of this earth. He belongs to the world of Fallen Heroes and Angels now, and I'm sure, stays forever deep within your heart. I added Jeff's name today to the Book of Souls at our church here in Maryland, for special remembrance and blessings on All Soul's Day this week. Our deepest sympathies to all the Ohio Boskovitchs.
October 30, 2005
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved son. Take comfort in knowing how proud Jeffrey must be of you and how you have given people all over the world inspiration by never giving up and doing what your son would have wanted you to do.

October 15, 2005
To the Boskovitch family and all of Cpl. Boskovitch's loved ones,
I just read on an Israeli news website the story of your son and the dog Beans who made all the way from Iraq to the USA and our hearts, and I was very moved by it.
Do you know what Mahatma Ghandi said? The true measure of a nation's greatness is how it is treating its animals. From this story it looks like the USA is a great nation, filled with compassionate caring human beings. I wish for the safe return of all US soldiers to their families and homes. I hope your family will find some peace in knowing that in his little act of kindness and love of animals, he had made me believe in the goodness of humanity again. So many awful things happen in the world today it is very hard to keep the faith...please give Beans a hug from me. I hope your family will never know the loss of a young son again. You've raised a good man, I think you should be very proud.
God bless.

Dear Boskovitch family,
I read on an Israeli news website about the story of your son and his dog, and I was extremely touched. I'm a soldier myself in the Israeli army. Even in Jeffery's picture, only a picture, you can see what a good person he is. It just shows in the picture.
I hope you would never know any sorrow or pain, you dont deserve it. Neither any American family whose dear son is in Iraq.
God bless you and give you happiness and relief.

With love,
Lee from Israel.
October 15, 2005
Sorry about your loss. I am an Israeli who fought and lost some friends in 1973. I know how huge your loss is. Be proud of your son and all his friends that are serving and keeping us free. We all are very thankful to your family and lots of others! Thanks
October 15, 2005
The incredible effort that had been made for beans was published in the Israeli news paper, and had moved me deeply. I am sorry for the loss of Jeffrey and all other sons, brothers, and husbands lost in this war. We had to walk around with gas masks prior to the war, afraid of an Iraqi bombing, but the american quest for peace has enabled me, my family and friends (and all kindergarden kids in Israel) to store our gas masks far away -all people in this world should be safe and live free. I wish you did not have to suffer such a pain. No family should. May G-d bless you.

May you never know sorrow again (or as we say in Hebrew "Shello tedue od tsar").
I was very moved by the unrelenting action you took in order to give "Bean's" a new and loving home. The story of the special rescue you launched in order to not leave her behind, really moved me beyond what mere words could express…
I wish you strength from God and all the happiness in the world, as you so rightfully deserve.

I went to the School of Infantry with Jeff. He proved to be one of my best friends there, however, we lost touch once it was over. I went to Iraq shortly after SOI and washoping toonce again meet up with him.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. Please rest assured that Cpl Bosko will forever remain in all of our hearts. His comical attitude always brought a smile to my face. I have a picture of jeff at SOI, that I would like to send to his family if anyone can contact me with his address. To his family, please know that all of us who knew Jeff will always remember him as a friend,a hero, and as a warrior who knew what is meant to be a true Patriot. To Jeff: You are and always will be a brother. Semper Fidelis. Rest In Peace Friend.

My cousin is in the National Guard, he served in the Iraq war for the first year after it all started. I did not know Jeff...but back in the day, I used to date a Marine or two. God bless them all! -Jeff's family and friends are in my prayers!
October 06, 2005
As I watch the members of the 3/25 come home today, I am filled with mixed emotions. Joy for those families with loved ones returning, happiness to see my aunt with Beans, a piece of what comforted Jeff during his time in Iraq, sadness that it is not he who is returning, and tremendous pride that he lay down his life for my family and especially my son to be safe from harm. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about him, Kathy, Brian & Kimmie and the rest of my family and our great loss. To Jeff, looking down upon us~ thank you and we will never ever forget.
September 29, 2005

Thanks to Jeff, my Son will live in a safer world. I was at Byers Field with my 7 year old Son to say Goodbye to a TRUE HERO and it's a day that neither one of us will ever forget. "I can never again see a United States Marine without experiencing a feeling of reverence."
September 21, 2005
Bless all of our fallen Heroes, and the troops still in harms way. Remember they are the ones putting themselves on the line to give others the freedoms we experience everyday. It is the most noble of gestures to risk your own life to give others the chance to be free as we are. Bless Jeff and his family for their sacrifice. My heart goes out to you and you will all be in my prayers. Our community suffered a loss in January when Timothy Knight left behind a darling daughter and a beautiful wife to grieve him. It has hurt alot to see so many of our young men and women in harms way of late. And to feel such a giant loss recently . I am not the best at words but i try to express the community is there with support believe me! Some of us just dont know the right thing to say. Let them help you through these trying times, and help you bear this grief.

We were the SCC man, the sniper controllers, until we set foot in country and they split us up. We both wanted to be in the teams, we both got our wish. I wish it ended different, just know, my injuries came from my full willingness to go out and find you, and I would not change what I did for a second. I'll miss you brother, see you on the other side.

September 14, 2005
All though I did not know Jeff my heart breaks for him and his family. I thank god for Jeff and all the other service men and women who gave their lives so others can have their freedom. To the Boskovitch family,
My name it Tim Keck, I'm an Air Traffic Controller 1st Class stationed on the USS Ronald Reagan, origionally from Parma. I had the honor of knowing Jeff back when we were in the Navy Sea Cadets. Jeff and I went to Sea Cadet boot camp in 1995 and I can still remember many of the things we talked about and did back then. I was unable to attend Jeff's funeral due to my ship being out to sea, but my wife Krystal made it to the wake in my absence. I just wanted to pass along my condolances, and let you know that a Heroic Marine such as Jeff will never be forgotten. Semper Fi Devil Dogs!!!

Our hearts go out to your family. America has lost a wonderful person, an aspiring police officer and, certainly, a future husband and father. My brother asked me to see if your family might be related to mine. My grandfather was named Michael Boskovich. Came to America in very late 1800's or very early 1900's at Ellis Island. Was a cook in San Francisco and moved to Stockton, California. I believe his relatives in Yugoslavia were located on the Adriatic coast or on the island of Split. He had a sister or cousin in Watsonville, CA.
September 06, 2005
May God Bless you Jeffrey, your sacrifice was the ultimate. You made your mother, family and country so very proud. Words do not seem to express enough the gratitude we all owe you. You will not be forgotten for your courage and strength to carry out your mission. May you rest in peace. Love, Jayne and the Anastasakis Family xo
September 04, 2005
I never had the honor of meeting Jeff but I feel as though I know him in spirit. Jeff worked alongside my friend and first love, Sgt. David Coullard of Glastonbury, CT. I understand Jeff was the "lookout" for Dave, one of the Corps best scout snipers. Dave called me on July 10th telling me how things were getting from bad to worse in Haditha but still sounded positive because they were making a difference over there. He told me their unit would be coming home in September... they were so close. I know your pain because I feel it everyday myself. I also know that Jeff, like Dave, did not have to be there, but felt it was the right and honorable thing to do. The picture that has made it to hundreds of newspapers including the LA Times, is the picture of Jeff and Dave. They are standing in front of a body of water, completely serene and tranquil. I have comfort in knowing that Dave had such a good friend and brother next to him until the very end. Every Marine that died with them would have given their lives to save the other because they were a brotherhood. Semper Fi Cpl. Boskovitch. You are a true hero. May you rest in peace.
August 31, 2005
To the Boskovitch Family,
Though I met all of you at the services, you still do not know who I am. I have hung out with Jeff since high and the years after. He was the one that made up my mind for me when joining the Marine Corps. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, and I know that Jeff, a hero is in the Heavens looking after me as I serve my 3rd and final tour over in Iraq. There is no better a man I would rather have watching my back then Jeff. Semper Fi.

Dear Boskovich Family:
I must first admit that I did not know your son, grandson, nephew, etc very well. However, he and I graduated Normandy together in 1999. I vividly remember Jeff as being witty and quick with a joke.

I must say that I feel like a simple "Thank You" and "I'm Sorry" just doesn't seem to be enough. Please do know that while I was not a close friend, my heart sinks and my stomach knots at the thought of such a tremendous loss. His sacrifice has really reminded me of the sacrifices war can bring.

Particular condolences to his fiancee...I'm a fiancee myself and I can't imagine what you're going through.

My prayers to your family, and Jeff as he undoubtedly watches over from Heaven.
August 29, 2005
My sympathy and strength goes out to the Boskovitch family, the memories of Jeff will always remain strong in are hearts. Thank you soooo much for raising a son that is not only amaizing but so strong to fight for a country that he's only 1/2 familiar with. That proves the real hero in him that we honor today and forever.
Rest in peace, for you and your family will always be in our prayers.
August 28, 2005
Words can't express the pain of your loss. Jeff is a Hero, May God Bless him, he is home and safe now.
August 27, 2005
My Beloved Nephew Jeff, whom I have known from he day you were born, all of the years you spent time growing up with your cousins, all of the memories that I have of you will forever remain close to my heart. For, I feel so truely Blessed to have known such a Man as you, Jeff.. You were so brave to go off to Iraq and fight for our Liberty and Freedom and for this you will ALWAYS, remain OUR HERO in the Boskovitch family. GOD has taken you off to a far better place, your Eternal Home. I will miss you all the days of my life on this earthly plane, however I know we will meet again in Heaven. Until then watch over us all and rest in peace my nephew and THANK YOU for your service to our great country. I LOVE YOU! Your Aunt Pat

"Hey Grandma Zakel, its Jeffrey". These are the words I lived to hear as I waited and anticipated his next phone call. My Heart is forever broken and I long to hear those words again, "Hey Grandma Zakel, It's Jeffrey."
....Til then....Rest in peace sweet boy.

Your loving grandmother
August 25, 2005
We will miss you forever and we will never forget what a hero you truly are. There is not a day that goes by that we dont think about you. You are in our thoughts every day. Kathy, Brian and Kim, there are not enough words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I know that Jeff is very proud of each of you. He will be watching over all of us from a better place. Steve, I know that Jeff can rest easy knowing that you will be there for his mom.
The sadness we all feel is eased only by the heroism that Jeff showed all of us in his bravery. We will never be the same again.
Aunt Debbie

I am very proud of the service you gave to our U.S. of A. Every American should take their freedoms so seriously and not take any rights for granted. God bless All of our soldiers and their families. Our freedoms are being attacked and without you we are most vulnerable.
I think about Jeff and my heart still aches, but I keep thinking about the little time I got to spend with him. He always had such a pleasant way of making you comfortable around him. I remember xmas at my house, he was so appreciative of my home, and said he really enjoyed it. I am very glad he was thoughtful enough to make me feel extra good that day, I remember what he said that day, but I don't remember what I said, I hope I told him how much I liked having him here. He was a fun loving young man, very pleasant while learning to know. I was looking forward to getting to know him better. I don't think I ever went that extra step to let him know how much I enjoyed his company. He was so selfless that I didn't know for the longest time how heroic of a job he had in the Marines. He was the bravest man I ever knew and I didn't know it. He is my hero for the rest of my life. I will miss his presence but he will always be with me. I am very proud he called me Uncle Rod.

To say I knew Jeff Boskovitch is an honor. Even though I would usually see Jeff on the holidays, he always made you feel like part of the family. Dear Jeff,
It is difficult to find words that truly express how Laura and I feel. I want to start by saying thank you. You gave your life for the betterment of our country, our family, and so many more. Our son, Jake, will have a chance to live a better life because of the sacrifices that you and so many others have made.
I regret that we did not have the opportunity to become closer or spend more time with you. However, you touched our lives in such a short period of time.
Your funeral procession was like nothing I have ever seen. A humbling experience, that I was so proud to be a part of and never will forget. I am grateful to have become part of your family and proud that we are step-brothers.

I am going to place a dark pink rose on our goalpost in the south end-zone for every home game this season, symbolizing our thanks and admiration for you. (I know your laughing now b/c I am getting you a rose.)

Laura and I will make sure that our children always remember their Uncle Jeff. You are and always will be our hero.
Brian, Laura, and Jake

To say “I will never forget you” is an understatement. You are already and forever will be dearly missed by the countless lives you have touched both in life and in passing. I can not tell you in words how much I will miss your humor, sense of family, and all of the fun times we spent together. Thank you for the heroic sacrificed you made for me, our family, and this country. We all owe you debt of gratitude which can never really be repaid. I was and always will be proud to call you my brother. I know you will live on in the hearts of the countless lives you have touched along the way. Rest peacefully now Jeff, and I am sure you will look in on us from time to time.

Dear Jeff,
You will always be my Hero. I cannot express just how proud I am of you and what you've sacrificed for me, my family, and our country. I will forever hold the memories close- the family gatherings, beers shared, the JD toasts, the happy hours at Cleats, the way you made time to sit with me when you came home, the discussions we had over your future plans. Especially the last moments we spent toghether- A late night drive when you wanted to stop and buy us a burger, the manly way you carried yourself at the Marine base the night before you left, and especially the night of your going away party when you singled out the veterans and honored their service and sacrifice. I will forever be proud you introduced me to friends as your step-father. It was my pleasure to introduce you as my step-son. We lived together a short time, just 4 short years, but I am very pleased you chose to make our home your home! I will never forget. I will always love you. Brian, Kim, Mike and I will do the best we can to fill in for you when it comes to taking care of your mother whom we all love very much. Rest now Jeff, and I will see you again soon enough. Love. Steve

I remember our last conversation... You told me that you were going to serve your country. I remember the secure look in your eyes... You told me that you wanted to become a cop. I remember the glimmer of fearlessness in your smile... You told me that you were going to a safe area, you would be out of harms way. We joked about the enemy and I recall telling you to "just shoot anyone that looks suspicious. Don't ask any questions, just shoot them-promise". And you said yes, I promise. I will never forget your confidence as a feerless hero just serving your country. I miss seeing you around as our guard. You always just wanted to do what was right. I think of you often and miss your support, positive nature, and smile. I will never forget you.

To all who have taken the time to make these Guest Book entries,

With sincere thanks and appreciation for all of the kind words you have written. Your thoughts, prayers, and appreciation for beliefs Jeffrey and other marines died for is encouraging and very helpful for the families of these fine young men. I am very proud of Jeff because I knew how much character and personal integrity he possessed at such a young age. I would be willing to bet that this is the case with many of the other men and women who volunteered and are now serving our country as well. You just don't acquire qualities like these in undergrad or graduate schools. I watched Jeff grow up to become a man and feel honored and priviledged to have been his father for 25 years. We taught each other a great deal along the way. His humor, wit, perspective, and desire to bring people together will be greatly missed by all of us who knew him, especially me, his mom, brother Brian, and sister Kim. I believe that Jeffrey's spirit will continue to influence us and give us strength now and in the future.

Again, thank you for your kindness

Dear Boskovitch Family,
I was Jeff's 4th Grade teacher at Dag, and I am truly heartbroken to hear about his tragic death, and I offer you my deepest sympathy. He was such a wonderful boy, and he has set the greatest example of bravery and patriotism for all of us. I will remind my future 4th graders that a hero was once present in this classroom and that he made the ultimate sacrifice. Jeff will always be alive in our hearts. He has left his mark upon the entire world, as he gave his life to make it a safer place for everyone. May God give you the strength to bear your loss.

In this land of sin and sorrow
Whether old or in our prime
We are only just a heartbeat
From the grave at any time
No one has a lease on living
Any moment death may call
It is only by God"s mercy
That we live and breathe at all

There's a place beyond the river
Where we'll lay our burdens down
Where we'll meet our friends and loved ones
And we'll wear a starry crown
All our troubles will be over
And no tears shall ever fall
Just a heartbeat from the Glory
Just a heartbeat, that is all

Until then my Dear Grandson, watch over us,and make sure that we all fit the crown.

We love You ,and Miss Your presence her on earth, and know that You are with Your Maker.

To My Family,

I am so proud of all of you, whom I love dearly. We now have another Angel in heaven looking down upon us, helping and guiding us. It is because of our strength and determination that a name, a face, and a family were made real in this horrible violence and tragedy. War is not a footbal game or a ticker on the television; every person lost is a family member, a loved one, a friend. We miss you more than we could ever say or write Jeff! Until we see you again....

Love your cousin in Germany. Angela~

Your family always helped us out so much. I will never forget your kindness. I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy. God bless you all in this time. Eileen

Kathy, Kim, and Brian,
It is with deep sadness that I write to you. I and my family are so very sorry for your loss. I had Jeff (and Brian) as students at Normandy High School and my sons Justin and Chad remember the boys well. My daughter, Rochelle, was a friend of Kim's for many years as they attended school together. I can only imagine the sorrow that your family is experiencing. My prayers go out to each of you at this most difficult time. Jeff is in a better place with our Lord now, although these words are not nearly enough to take away your pain, I know that God will help you through these days, along with the support of your family and friends. Please know that my prayers will continue to be with you and your family. Jeff is a true "HERO", and I thank him for the work he has done on my behalf, for our country. For Kathy, Kim and Jeff’s Family:

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Jeffrey. Your son was brave, relentless and he did not die in vain. He died because he fought what he believed in. There is nothing I can say or do to understand the paid you are feeling or even make it less painful, but I do feel the pain for each of the families of these soldiers who have lost their lives because they fought for our freedom. My heart breaks for you and all of the soldiers who lost their lives.

Yes, they paid a great price for our freedom, but this was their destiny, this was what they needed to do as men and as soldiers. You raised a fine son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin etc. He will never be forgotten and always remembered for what he did to save the rest of us from the worst enemy out there.

There are no words, only questions. There is no comfort, only tears. Our loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice. They are now and forever our heroes in our hearts and in our country’s eyes. We must walk this walk of grief alone, but really not alone, they will be with us, always a part of us and always deep in our hearts.

May he rest in peace knowing our world is now a better place because of what he did.
He will always be remembered in my eyes as a Hero!

May God help you get through this trying time with peace through all of the sorrow.
August 12, 2005
Many prayers for the strength of your family at this sad time. We didn't know Jeffrey, but our hearts ache for your loss. Thank you Jeffrey for serving your Country.
August 12, 2005
Today as I watched the procession pass in front of me all I could think of was Jeff's family and friends and the great sadness that weighs heavy on their hearts. That same sadness weighs on mine as well. I know that Jeff's spirit will envelope us now even as we all all grieve his passing. Part of him will remain with us and never fade away. To the Boskovitch family: God be with you 'til we meet again. By his counsels guide uphold you. May His sheep securely fold you. God be with you 'til we meet again. Peace.
August 12, 2005
I want to offer my deepest sympathy for the entire family of Jeff Boskovitch. I knew him just through my brother, Nick. He is a true hero, and will never be forgotten. He will forever be in my prayers and may God rest his soul.
August 12, 2005
May God bless and keep you in his arms.
August 12, 2005
I was never granted the great oportunity of meeting this courageous hero but my heart goes out to your family. Your son was a brave man who took an unselfish journey on a quest to defend his fellow man. May his name and achievement never be forgotten. I am from Toronto, Oh. a town of another fallen marine, Nate Rock. I had the opportunity of meeting Nate about a year and a half ago. I will never forget him or the other brave marines that were with him. One day when I have children I will tell them the heroic story of Jeff and Nate and all the other marine heroes. A true hero isn't in a comic book or in the movies. He is a brave, honorable, courageous man who stands proud for what he believes. That is your son Jeff.
August 12, 2005
Kathy and Family: In your time of great suffering, please know there are many family and friends here to support you. He is gone but will never be forgotten. I wish you peace.

To Jeff's Parents

My apologies to the author of the original poem, but I've changed some of the references to fit. I believe the original poem was written by Edgar Guest.

“I’ll lend you for a little time
a child of mine,” He said,
“For you to love the while he lives
and mourn for when he’s dead.
“It may be six or seven years,
or twenty-two or three,
“But will you, till I call him back,
take care of him for me?
“He’ll bring his charms to gladden you,
and shall his stay be brief,
“You’ll have his lovely memories
as solace for your grief.
“I cannot promise he will stay,
since all from earth return,
“But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
“I’ve looked the wide world over
in my search for teachers true
“And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes
I have selected you.
“Now will you give him all your love,
nor think the labor vain,
“Nor hate me when I come to call
to take him back again?”
I fancied that I heard them say:
“Dear Lord, Thy will be done!
“For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
the risk of grief we’ll run.
“We’ll shelter him with tenderness,
we’ll love him while we may.
“And for the happiness we’ve known
forever grateful stay;
“But shall the angels call for him
much sooner than we’ve planned,
“We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.”

I had the pleasure of attending Police Academy with "Bosko". He was in outstanding shape but was the one who would slow down during our PT runs to encourage us slower guys to "hang in there" and "only one more lap to go". Jeff was elected class president without asking for it or even mentioning it. He was a born leader. Jeff had a higher calling, and I will forever look up to him. I will truly miss that his ever present sense of humor and positive attitude. My heart goes out to his family, they have given our country the ultimate gift. I will never forget Bosko.
August 10, 2005
Dear Boskovitch Family:
Jeff will be truly missed by the class of 1999. He is a true soldier that will never be forgotten. God Bless Jeff and his family.

To Jeff's Family,

First, allow me to express my heartfelt sorrow and grief for the loss of your son. I knew Jeff ever since he started elementary school at Dag. While in highschool I was often in Jeff's company, but I soon began to drift away during and after college because of distance; and I'm sorry for that for because it is truly my loss and fault. I hope he's looking down upon all of us and sees that so many were influenced and touched by his persona. I also hope he has that signature Bosko smirk on his face whilst doing so. I am deeply sorry for your loss and pray that you, all his friends who were truly close to Jeff and those who were lucky enough to get to know him, will make it through this loss and always remember Jeff.
GOD bless you and yours.

"I'm Free"
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free!
August 08, 2005
I have never spoken to Jeff, but we went to school(s) together for many years. The first thing that I pictured when I heard of this tragedy was his smiling face. Smiling was the only way that I have ever seen him. It takes a truly special person to make the impression he has made to people who hardly know him, I could only imagine the impact that he has made on the one's who knew him best. I am honored that he, and many others, have the courage to protect us. Thank you for raising such a strong man. God Bless You.

My Deepest sympathy goes out to your entire family, I'am from a family with a long history of military services my sister and brother in law were both in the air force just before the first gulf war began, my father is a veteran of the korean war (Navy),to this day he still gets teary eyed about the fact it took so long for a memorial to go up in their honor, i think it is a shame how so many men and women fight for this country and lose their lives, and yet it seems to take so long for us to honor them, thank you for your service, thank you for your life, I have a 17 yr old son who just received a call from a staff sgt with the marines, it scares me to death to think of his future, I wish you the best in your time of grief but your son is in a far better place, this earth is hell, God bless you and you should be so very proud of your son

We want to express our sincerest Condolences to all of Jeff's family members. This is such a tragic thing. We have heard of Jeff , with pride, often from his Step-Grandmother Dianne. She is a friend of ours and she has always spoke of him with love and pride. When I told people at work about what happened, they were horrified and said " She was just talking about him last week". Jeff gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. I am sure that God met him with open arms and he is perfect and in no pain. He is probably smiling down at all of you saying. I am all right. You have some rough times ahead of you. May God comfort you and help you find peace. It is men like Jeffrey that allow us to live in freedom. May God Bless him and all of them.

Dear Boskovitch Family,
Although I did not personally know your son, my son Philip went to Normandy with Jeff and also graduated in 1999. Phil was horrified and deeply saddened when he heard the awful news. Losing a child is unimaginable but Jeff will always be remembered and loved by the lives he touched and his braveness in defending the United States and the innocent people of other countries. My prayers are with you and may the Lord welcome Jeff into his arms. May He also keep the the other sons and daughters safe from harm. Thank you for having such a wonderful son.

August 07, 2005
As I watched a small portion of the television interview this morning, my heart contracted once again with the burden of loss we who have loved ones in this war all feel. My son leaves for his second tour in Iraq soon, and I will probably experience more anxiety than the first time he left -- before the war officially began. I know he believes in all the "good" reasons we are there, as your son apparently also believed. These men truly are heroes for being committed to their mission and serving with a faithful and fervent heart. My husband and I salute your son, Jeffrey, and believe he is now in that place where only Peace reigns and one day "war will be no more".

Having served w/ 3/25 in Desert Storm, I am filled with pride for the Marine Corps and your son. Know that Jeff is a hero in every sense of the word. Those of us who worked with him at Fedex have lost a friend. As a mother of a Marine the pain I feel for your loss is profound. He will not be forgotten.

For 20 Ohio Marines

Did you feel the wave of sympathy
surging across the Pennsylvania line
and out to you,
the families left behind?

We know.
For we saw your boys
here among ours,
at High School proms
in cars, in shopping malls,
in churches, at picnics
and on the curb
at parades on July 4th
watching veterans
of other wars,
saluting them with gratitude.

We saw them at gates
leaving wives and families,
and forlorn young girls--
turning to leave
with head held high,
looking back one last time.
We know them.
For yours are ours.

I too had the oppurtunity to become friends with Jeff on his deployment in 04. He is a great Marine and an even better friend. The Marine Corps has lost so many in the past week, but it is the strenght of us all, Family Friends, and Marines( all generations) that keeps us going and continuing on with life after a loved one has been taken away. Cpl Jeffery Boskovitch, you have taken your place on the street of Heaven with the rest of our fallen brotheren. You made he ultimate sacrifice and I say SEMPER FIDELIS MARINE. To Jeffs family my deepest regrets for your loss, but let it be known that you raised a great son. One who all could count on. God bless.

To Jeff's family:
My heart truely aches for you! I cannot imagine the pain you must be going though right now. I have only met Jeff a couple of times but it was easy to see that he was a great guy. My husband grew up with him and then served with him in 3/25. The stories that he tells me about his passion and dedication to the Corps is heartwarming. Please accept our deepest condolences, every heart in America cries for you.

To Kim and Brian: Stay strong.

Although I did not know Cpl. Boskovitch, my prayers are with his family and all of the other families with soldiers overseas. May I add a huge THANK YOU for serving your country well.
August 05, 2005
I have had the honor of serving our country. In doing so i have been raised by a band of brothers that will never perish, only grow stronger. It saddens me to say not all of us have made it home. Those few live through us and the stories we tell forever. I knew Bosko, we were in the same fireteam on his deployment in 04. Bosko and i became good friends off the back. his favorite quote was,"can i punch you in the face?"It's an inside thing. Bosko was a great marine and would often say he was ready for iraq. He would say he was ready to do his part. Well bosko you have, you went above and beyond the call. Know that the drum of war beats on, and so do we, and with us we carry the memory of Cpl boskovitch and others that have fallen. Bosko was my brother. My deepest condolences to his family and fiance.

Words cannot fully express the sadness you must feel at losing your young man. May God bless and keep you until you are reunited with him in eternity. Your hero awaits you.
August 04, 2005
I really dont know where to start, I knew jeff before i became a Marine and looked to him for guidance and how a marine should be. I rember him as being the one who would do anything.. This one time we were playing football out in the snow one winter and Jeff took off his shirt and played with no shirt and had no problem rolling around in the snow, I know he is one to never back down from a challenge and take on anything that comes his way... Jeff you paid the ultimate sacrifce for this country....God Bless you for all of what you have done.... My deepest thoughts and prayers go to Jeff and his family,

I sat right next to Cpl. Jeffrey A. Boskovich when we attended the Police Academy at Tri-C back in 2002, and I got to know him quite well. He was such a fun, spirited person that I actually looked forward to attending class. I am proud to have known him and I'll never, ever forget what he did for our country. My prayers are with his family.

To the family of Jeff:
I didn't know Jeff, but I knew of him thru his Aunt Pat. I'm so sorry for your lost of Jeff. I took this so hard, because I have a son the same age of Jeff.

I don't even know where to start. For anyone reading this, who didn't know Bosko, you missed out. Not only was a true American hero, which he will undoubtably be remembered for; but he was a great friend. I was lucky enough to know him for many years, about as many as I can remember. I was lucky enough to play along side #16 for my enire high school carreer. And I was lucky enough to know him and his family as a friend. He was someone who could always make you smile, make you laugh, but no matter what, always had your back. I guess some things never change huh.... Thank you Jeff.

To Brian, Shelly, and the Boskovitch family-
My sincere condolences go out to you. Growing up where we did, the way we did, we were lucky enough to feel as though we were an extended family, and from mine to yours we send our love and prayers. He's going to be missed by many. He's already missed by many. If there is anything my family or I can do for you, do not hesitate to get in touch. I'm truely truely sorry for your loss. He was... a great man, great friend, and just the way he should be remembered, a great hero. I'm lucky to just have known him. With all my love, Ricky.

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to the families left behind in this time of tragedy. My husband is a Navy man who was determined to be a Marine, I am the selfish wife who asked him to take the easier route because I know I am not strong enough to be a Marine wife. All I can do is thank you and your son for making the ultimate sacrifice, from the bottom of my heart.

To the Boskovitch family:

I wish to offer my heartfelt sympathy.

I served with your son during his early enlistment period at Brook Park, Ohio.

I can express no words that can return him to you but only to offer to you the consolation of what his service as a Marine means to me. As written by William Shakespeare in "Henry V" -

“From this day to the ending of the world. But we in it shall be remembered; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me today shall be my brother.”

August 04, 2005
My condolences go out to Jeff's family. I can’t imagine what you must be going through right now. Jeff and I worked together at Hi-Land back in high school. The last time I saw him was just after he had enlisted. Though we didn’t keep in contact he’s one of those people who you just never forget. I will never forget him or what he has done to defend our freedom and our country.
August 04, 2005
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for being a protector of freedom and for the sacrifices you have made.
August 04, 2005
To the family of "Bosko",
I am so very sorry for your loss. With the brothers that he shared in the Sniper platoon, this wife mourns your loss also. Sgt. Gregory Blake is my husband and he was so concerned with the first word of "Bosko", as he so endearingly referred to Jeff. All the snipers are mourning your loss and they have pulled it back together in the last few days, after hearing of their brothers. Please know we think of you and have been feeling your pain. The boys have not been forgotten, only eulogized through the towns of Iraq. All the snipers miss their lost brothers and will carry out the mission in their honor.May God Bless you and yours.
August 04, 2005
I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to Jeff's family. I was the Police Academy Coordinator at Tri-C when Jeff attended. He was an outstanding student and I knew his love was serving his country. God Bless all the men and women who serve us so proudly.

I had the pleasure of serving with Jeff in Brook Park. He was a smart and strong young man, may God bless him and your family.
August 03, 2005
I went to school with Jeff -- from first grade until we graduated in 1999. I remember bidding him farewell, shortly before he left. He was so proud, so confidient -- a true Marine.
I express my deepest heartfelt sorrows to Shelly, his fiance, his brother, sister, parents and the rest of his extended family. As a Normandy gradute, I am proud of Jeff. He will never be forgotten
August 03, 2005
Our sincere deepest condolences are extended to the family of another fallen hero from two very grateful Americans. Jeffrey, may you rest in peace.
August 03, 2005
I worked with Jeff at Fedex.I am an aircraft mech there and have a son in law flying Ch-53's in the marines. Jeff was very intrigued by the Corp. I know Jeff made a good Marine. He did what he believed in doing.I'll always consider Jeff as a good friend. Not too many people get to come visit us mechanics in our office. Jeff was a daily visitor. He just seemed to get along with everyone. I am very saddened, yet I know Jeff was doing what he knew was the right thing, Semper Fi Jeff. You're always in our hearts and minds.God bless your family and may God comfort them.
