Do not..be called "leaders," for your Leader is one, the Christ.. Matt. 23:9,10. In times like these I like to look to the bible for answers. We will all miss you Joe..

A good name in the book of ecclesiastes is better than oil, to have a good report with those around you is very important, that they may speak well of you, this speaks volums, this is also true when our creator and father look at our life course will he see our good report, so that our name may be recorded in the book of life, what we do while we are alive both God and humans take notice of, my condolences for your family loss, mat you find comfort in reading and meditating on God's word, may you have peace.

Truly one of the last of his kind; such a talented, old-school scribe, who knew how to tell a story with a flair that has sadly fallen out of favor today. Back in the days before TV coverage was everywhere, Mr. Mooshil's stories about Chicago sports were a must-read. We won't see his kind again.

As his obit explains, Joe was "old school" and truly one of the greats in AP history. Yes, Joe could be gruff, especially with that cigar waggling from his mouth. However, during my early days in the sports information profession at the University of Illinois, I remember him as having a friendly word for all of the young people with whom he came in contact. RIP, Joe.
