Just today learned of Mr. Calleys passing. So sorry for your loss. I was searching my fathers (Daniel Calley) death notice, and Johns came up along with his. My Dad always said he thought they were distant cousins. We all seem to be related in one way or another. Sending your family my deepest sympathy. Cherish the memories.
In the mid-seventies, Mr. Calley gave me the confidence to strike out on my own after helping him restore the beautiful yacht "Olinka". He used our services over the next 25 years and had the almost magical ability to make myself and my crew feel indispensible to his projects. You'll be missed, John...
John was one of my best friends during our days at Leonia High School and was the best man at my wedding to Nancy Stahlman. We spoke several years ago just before he got sick, but lost touch. I was saddened to learn of his passing. God Bless you John. Bill McCreedy
John Calley was a great guy. I played basetball with him at Leonia High School Neither of us were great players, but we had a lot of fun. Vin Farrell
