John was an incredible comedian! I was unaware that he had passed away. What a loss! His humor, has kept (and is still keeping) many of us laughing., sometimes during bad times in our own lives. I would rank him with such greats, as Abbott and Costello, Jack Benny, and many more of the unique and hilarious comics. I just wish, that I had been able to see him on live stage. John will be surely missed.
Having not heard any of John's comedy narratives previously, my first introduction was the "Turnips at Thanksgiving" story. I can't remember ever laughing as hard and spontaneously as I did while listening to John tell the story complete with his little asides and observations. He still continues to bring laughter into this world and for that I wanted to pay my respects to his family on their (and our) loss. Thank you for sharing him with us.
I was introduced to John Pinnettes humor this year, 2016. I think he was the funniest most delightful man I had ever heard. The fact that his skits are still being passed around on FB is testament to his unique humor. I only wish I had known of him sooner. God Bless you and keep them laughing in heaven.
You've been gone two years now John. I still love listening to you on XM Radio. You are truely missed.
Years ago I was searching under my father's name (John Pinette) and stumbled on this John. I started watching and fell in love with him, so did my husband. Omg, what talent, very few things make me laugh, but oh could John! He was amazing and we will miss him sooo much! We are so very sorry for your loss <3
I recently heard John on satellite radio for the first time. What a talented and gifted man. Heartfelt condolences to his loved ones-a heartbreaking loss.
Recently, heard John on satellite radio for the first time. What an amazing, talented gifted man. Condolences to his loved ones.
John was my most beloved comedian and I hadnt seen any of his work recently .I just read of his passing and I am devestated. He was one of the few humanbeings on the planet that could make me laugh till i hurt . We have lost one of the GREAT comedians of all time and a truly Amazining kind and sincerely good humans to walk the earth . RIP you will be missed .A sad fan. My prayers are with your family
John Pinette lives on in our memories and through his DVDs. So sad that such a talented man had his life cut short. His humor lives on and makes us laugh. Thank you John for all the smiles and laughs you have brought to so many.
I had the privilege of seeing John twice here in Houston. Once at the Laff Stop, once at the Improv. I'll never forget the perfect gentleman John was on both occasions I met him. My best friend and I got a photo with him, and John let us have 2 of his "I Say Nay Nay" DVD's for the price of one. I had credit card, which he wasn't setup for. John noticed we wore our shirts from our branches of service, and he just shook our hands and said "Thanks so much for your service guys" and told his merchandise guy to let us have the DVD's 2 for 1, then said "It's the least I could do for you guys, for what you did for our country". I never forgot that. What a gentleman he was. I wished I could've seen John more, but just blessed that I got to see him. A true honor and privilege. I was so upset to hear of his passing. He left us way too soon. We lost a great man in John; one of the funniest men I've ever seen do Stand-Up in my life. He left a real legacy and is truly missed. He made me laugh 'til I hurt countless times. If anybody knows where he's buried, please let me know so I can visit him, pay my last respects, and give him a final salute.
John. Rest in peace. I will pray with your family. I never saw you live but you brought much joy to me through wireless media. I am hurt that you have passed but I'm sure your influenced others that will follow your dream.
You know I never had the immense pleasure of meeting Mr. Pinette, but if I had I would have told him that I fell in love with his humour and could tell he was a wonderful human being bc he always kept the jokes about himself or his weight, never pointing a finger at anyone.
I think of him often bc he was such a gifted comedian, and I hope when I pass that he will join me at the bar for some laughs!
God bless you John.
God bless and keep you safe always.
The loss of such a kindhearted man is tragic. John was always one that I know many could turn to to make them laugh. He had a strong character to him, always being open about his food habits. It is such a loss. My thoughts are still with his family.
I first heard a stand-up about seven years ago and have been a fan ever since. It is sad that he past when and how he did. My condolences goes out to his friends and family.
I am so saddened. I just looked on the internet to see if I could find somewhere John was appearing. He was so very, very, talented. I listen to Laugh USA often and love when he is on. What a loss-I can only imagine you,, his family. Will keep you in my prayers. It would be fabulous if someone would do a special on TV. God Bless yo.
I just heard about the death yesterday; what a tragedy. This world has lost both a beautiful and kind soul and one of the most talented and naturally funny comics ever. My heart goes out to his family and friends-he was truly one of a kind.
We just miss you more and more John, driving up 95 in West Palm right before the Atlantic Avenue exit, you were always on that Improv billboard bringing a smile to our faces just knowing you were "coming soon to a theatre near you"! So sad, love to your family. Still brokenhearted, Ruby & Jay
Still heartbroken about his passing.......a year later!
Can't believe it's been a year since you passed away! I'm sure you're making everyone laugh and "Get outta line!!!"
Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us.
John's comedy work induced some of the most intense laughter I've had in my life. I was greatly saddened to hear of his passing and can only hope his loved ones take solace in knowing of the joy he spread during his life. He was as lovable as he was funny. I never knew John, but I still miss him; my sincerest condolences to his friends and family.
I had loved him and shared his laughter with others. I hope the Blessed Mother and the saints welcomed him to heaven. All his good, brought happiness to others.
I only recently discovered John's comedy work, a few months ago, and found myself listening to his act every time he came on satellite radio not getting out of my truck until it was over. I was very sad to learn he had passed before I had even found his works. I will miss him, even though I never knew him.
Sitting here watching one of John's sets from the Just For Laughs shows. That got me to thinking about his family, his sisters specifically. It's OK to put his things away now. He'll always know where the important ones are.
Missing you John. Hoping there are truely no turnips in Heaven. Hoping there are no 11 Ib turkeys there either. You were extraordinary and still make millions laugh daily. Knowing you have probably received your personal chestnut roasting pan by now. Likely, a giant picture of a pear too. Rest in peace John. Enjoy the Heavenly buffet.
Never knew him personally but loved his comedy. I'm sorry to hear his light was extinguished. He is missed.
Hi John, I thought of you yesterday and smiled as I was shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond. You weren't kidding about the coupons lol They are very serious about trying to get people signed up for their mailing list in order to receive store discounts and the famous coupons. You are so missed.
Your humor helped me get through a very difficult time in my life. I listened to your performances again and again, and I still do. I'd like to extend my condolences to your family. I'm so, so sorry for your loss.
you were such a part of our lives even though we never met. i hope you knew how loved and admired you were. thank you for sharing you gift with all of us. best to your family.
AYou left us much too soon John. You were a very funny and entertaining man, and while I have watched or listened to thousands of comedians doing stand-up, you were one of just a few that I would drive hours to see in person or stay up to 3 am, if you were on TV at that time. Thanks for the joy.
I only met John one time... it was one month after one of my best friends had died. My friend Chuck loved his comedy...I wanted to see him in person, and after the show we posed for picture and got autograph! We clicked immediately called him friend and communicated via FACEBOOK. I will always remember you and JOHN I made you laugh too!! Skip S. Branchburg New Jersey
As a young man still learning his way in the world, there are not many people I talked about being like when I grew up. I was 12 when I saw John's comedy special, "I'm Starvin'". I was memorized. Then as I got older, I looked for any bits of his comedy I could find. He was somebody people automatically liked. It was a goal of mine to someday see him live, either on stage telling jokes or on stage in theater. But unfortunately he passed before I could. I hope that all members of the Pinette family as well as his friends know how much he spread laughter and joy to fans of all ages. He will be severely missed.
I casually knew John in college, at what was then known as the University of Lowell. He spoke of trying his hand at stand-up, but in those days I guess that I didn't believe that anyone that I knew could ever be famous. John proved me wrong there! The John I knew was a nice guy and seemed like a gentle soul. I can't believe he's gone. My sincere condolences to all of John's family, friends and fans.
Such a talented man, you are missed. My condolences to your family, blessings and peace.
I remember hearing the news of your passing and was so saddened. I had seen you on stage when you came to Ottawa but I had never met you. You still enriched my life by bringing so much laughter and big smiles. Just finished watching one of your shows. You are truly missed. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.
John you were one of the best and enjoyed watching your show over and over again. God bless you and rest in peace. David tableau foxboro ma
Loved his comedy. Loyal fan for life!
It must have been November or December of 2013 when I first discovered John Pinette. Immediately I 1) fell in love, and 2) looked for any tour that was coming within 100 miles of here so I could see him in person. I couldn't believe that just months later he was gone. I can't even wrap my mind around that. Since then I've watched every one of his stand up acts (doing it again right now). I don't know how anyone can feel a connection to a person they've never met, but I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one who felt this way about John. I'm so sorry for his family, and for everyone now deprived of such an amazingly funny man, with an equally beautiful soul.
I met John in college. John was beautiful inside and out - a truly great person. I hope Saint Peter won't make John wait at the pearly gates! xxoo
tried to watch one of your videos the other night with my wife. we had to turn it off because we were so incredibly depressed still... hoped to just be able to shake your hand at a live performance one day, but nay nay, that wont happen... still quote your lines, but there is always a light tinge of sadness when we do. you are deeply sadly missed
edgar sikes and family
It's June 25th and I'm just reading through John's guest book. For me there aren't many people at all who have passed and who I don't know where I would be captivated as I find myself still. It's because you made an impression on me that will last my lifetime. Not too many people have the ability to do that. He did.
So very sorry to hear of John's passing. I have never laughed so hard as he made me laugh. May God bless each of you as you remember what he meant to your family and what a difference he made in other's life. He gave me one of the greatest gifts I could have asked for...He made me happy.
I still can't believe or get over it. I hope there are no lines in heaven. R.I.P. You made me laugh like no one else.
I was just telling a friend of mine at work I want to have him to my home to watch a video by my favorite comedian, John Pinette. I continued to say, " You know how we are always talking about taking a road trip? Well let's find out where is has a show near her and go see him." So I just went to look up his schedule when I see this announcement." I want to give the family the money for the video because I only had a check at the show and John signed the cover and gave me the video saying "Enjoy it!" Some of my favorite family memories of watching this video with my grown children were formed - we laughed together at a stressful time and he brought us closer. I also want to buy every video he has made. Any help on how to do this, please post here and I will check back. -Leslie, Age 53, near Raleigh North CArolina June 12, 2014
My sincere condolences to the friends, loved ones, and acquaintances of John Pinette. I recall originally seeing John Pinette perform on COMEDY CENTRAL, I truly believe he was extremely multi-talented; and an individual who will be greatly missed by many, myself included. I hope that he went without suffering, may he rest in peace. I first learned of your untimely passing today via on-line sources, I hope that your colleagues have done or plan to do a performance in tribute to you and to honor your memory.
I LOVed watching as an 76 yrs old lady brought me joy. GOD BLESS you. You brought ALOT of jy. May you rest in peace.
u were my favorite person to see.
Sincere condolences to the Pinette family for your loss. While seeing John on stage, it became immediately apparent what a kind & charismatic soul he was. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Thank you John for at least 20 years of laughter! Your humor brought me through many difficult days and I was happy my children, now adults, enjoy you as well! May God Bless You always and Rest In Peace. My deepest sympathy to the Pinette Family. Madeline Ervin
Jerry Dymond I never got to meet you Jonh Pinette. But you have really inspired me into becoming a comic. you left us all to soon. We are all going to miss you!! Thank you for the laughs that you have giving us,And may you make all the Angles up in Heaven laugh as you have made us here all through the years. Rest In Peace John Pinette. :)
I have often laughed out loud when alone listening to John. Rare is a comic who can do so. Who can forget the buffet line, skating / skiing adventures, gym / nutrition pursuits and of course, "Fwhe Wiwilly". You will be missed for your brilliance. I am deeply saddened that you left us too soon. PDW
When I heard the news, I said "Nay Nay". But sadly it was so. You will be truly missed.
Hey Johnny-Angel - I had just bought tickets to your show in Chicago that was coming up in June. Cant tell you how sad I am that I cant see you one last time. Several years ago I saw you at Zanies, it was a very rainy night and we were standing out in the rain waiting for the 11 o'clock show. You came out and thanked us for coming, took pictures with us and had the management bring out umbrellas for all of us standing in the rain !! You were and always will be a class act - one of the BEST - gone too soon XO
You were and will remain my favorite comedian. Your presentation and cherub-like expressions captured my heart and never failed to make me laugh. I love you and miss you. God bless you.
Crack them up in heaven John! I wish you knew how you will be missed and how many people loved you.
We will continue to keep your memory alive through your warmth, humor and laughter you brought into our home. We will often and fondly remember your loving and heartfelt smile. God Bless and keep you in the palm of his hand. "Here I am Lord, it is I Lord. I have heard you calling in the night. I will come Lord if you need me, I will hold your people in my heart."
I enjoyed watching John tremendously. His delivery was always "spot on" and he had a great knack for putting smiles on peoples faces and making them forget about their problems. I can only imagine how fun it would be to hang around with him and I feel very sorry for all his family and friends for their great loss. We will all miss him very much.
John you were the one comedian I could watch with my whole family! We will miss you.
He was a true joy to watch on stage and made me laugh so hard I often cried, it was easy to visualize his humor and he could take you instantly away from any nonsense to his funny world.
I am so sorry for his family that he cared for very much and their loss and so sad for those that will never see him perform in person.
John was the best comedian in the world. R.I.P. John, you will be sadly missed.
Found John accidentally on line last year. My daughter and I got such enjoyment when we frequented his site. Just recently at a CR meeting I mentioned a 'great' comedian. I went on to quote, " You go now. You hea three owas! Y you eat spare ribs? U eat brockolee. U skare my wife." Gary chimed in. He knew John too. So young, so talented. I hope he knew Jesus as his personal savior. I'd like to meet him in heaven. To John's family, I know he will be missed. I live in Lancaster. Wonder if I passed him in a horse and bugy! In His Love, Eliza
To John's family, John was incredibly special and gifted. In an era when comedy is mostly mean-spirited and snarky at best. John was a breath of fresh air, giving the world beautiful moments of joy. God bless you. John will most assuredly be missed..
A true genius and a tragic loss. A once in a generation talent! You are missed.
I never saw one of John's shows, or knew what he looked like, but I have satelite radio and drive alot. Everytime he was on one of the comedy stations, I would listen to him and he would make me laugh. What a sense of humor and because of his passing, I actually got tickets to see another great comedian (Bob Newhart, 84 years old and still funny) less than two weeks after John passed. John's family should be very proud because he brought laughter and smiles to many people.
I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE MET YOU AND SEE ONE OF YOUR SHOWS. YOU GAVE EVERYONE THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER. MAY GOD'S PEACE BE WITH YOU. THANKS FOR THE LAUGHTER. MAY YOUR MEMORY BE ETERNAL.
You always made me smile, you are my sun on a bad day.if god never laughed he will now,and maybe your driving him crazy and he'll send you back your friends from Canada love you and miss you deeply
I am told God has a sense of humor. If so...He's gonna love John up there. One of the few comedians who didn't need fowl language or off color humor to be a success. He was genuine, heartfelt, honest, talented and sincere. I have listened to his shows on youtube over and over again and still laugh. Although I never met him, I will miss him and his comedy.
I hope there is a buffet in heaven and NO ONE is in the line! You brought light and laughter into so many lives. You will be missed

John, we all miss you. May the good Lord shine his love upon you. Thank you for the laughs and the memories.
John, you made me and many others I know laugh till we peed our pants. Your gift of humor was fantastic. We shall miss you and are all sad you were taken from us far too soon. God bless you John and I hope God has the most enormous Chinese buffet waiting for you. "You go now and no come back"
John I hope you are laughing and happy. What a joy you have been. May you truly rest in peace. A light went out when you passed. Bless your soul. Blessings to your loves,
I am so sorry for your loss. You could tell he loved his family and his family loved him. He is the greatest comedian ever. What a light of sunshine, if ever I was down I would listen to him and he could turn my life around. It doesn't get much better when you can do that for someone. What a joy. He will be missed. Blessings
I am in my own battle with weight and John was my therapy as I did battle. He is gone way too Soon. Thank you John for the the great laughter. God bless His close Friends and Family during this difficult time.
Our condolences to Mr. Pinette's family! He changed my 10 year old daughter's life by talking and joking about celiac and food related restrictions. Watching John, she felt like she had been understood, that she was not alone and that it was maybe not as big a deal as it had once seemed. She became a more outgoing child, in part due to John's influence. He will be missed!
Tons of Fun, you will be greatly missed.
My heartfelt condolences goes out to John's family and fans. I last saw John with Bill Engvall at the Rialto Square theater and John was hilarious. An hour of great jokes by the buffet buster himself. You will be missed.
As good as John was as a comedian he was a better human being. He was the only headliner to give me a tip and also great great advice throughout the week. John spent his life bringing the sunshine.
We will miss you very much but know you we will see you later. Thank you John. Always. The Williams Family.
A true comedian has been lost. Watching john I would laugh so hard I would be in tears. Rest in peace.
The world has lost a great comedian way too soon. To the Pinette family I'm sure you knew what a treasure John was. Thank you John for all the laughs. We saw you in November at Hotel DuPont and what a great show. Thank you for a great memory. I live pretty close to you and was hoping to see you out shopping. Nay nay.
Denise, Swarthmore, Pa
It was with great sadness I learned of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his family whom he always referenced in his comic skits. May memories of who he was remain with you and carry you through this time of mourning and into the future.
I am sorry for your loss. I hope you can find comfort in the words written at (Jeremiah 29:11,12)
Thanks for making this world more enjoyable to live in and keeping us all laughing!
My condolences to Mr. Pinette's family. He was such a professional and a creative and wise soul in how he could reach out to an audience and give the gift of laughter in such a unique delivery and synergism.
You must be a remarkable family to have nurtured such a special man.
Eternal light for you my friend
I loved this guy a true funnyman and a great friend will be missed I think of him daily. r.i.p
I was able to go to John's viewing. Brought my grand-nephews, who also loved John. Unfortunately, John was cremated, so we didn't get to see him one last time, but we got to speak to his family. Nice people, just like John was. I was able to meet John a few times after performances and I was impressed by his demeanor - no celebrity stuff. We'll miss his comedy so much and his all-around (no pun here) good guy persona. He's making them laugh in heaven.
You blessed my Family's lives with extraordinary humor and jaw pain beyond belief from hours of laughs. I can't wait for a "Best of Pinette" video to hit the shelves. Johns material will entertain future generations for years to come. Johns verbal visualizations of Family at the Thanksgivings table..........the sight of John at the top of a ski slope in that white outfit....... the deadly fart in the car incident.....buying a toaster. Loved those routines. Thanks for all you gave your Fans. God bless your soul.
Ive never been personally affected by a celebrity's passing until John, everyone in my house loved him and my kids knew almost every line from I'm starving. I still sit here and feel a loss like he was a member of my own family. I am so terribly sorry for you his family who knew him all his life, but also to all of his extended family around the world. John you are so sorely missed, yet you will live forever in so many hearts and minds, every laugh you cause like a praise to you, thankyou for the wonderful show John!
John, my son has autism and your comedy gave him light in his eyes. Thank you for helping my son smile. We never made it to your show, one regret we have. May you rest in peace. Your smile will be missed. God bless you and your family.
I Can't believe it,, I haven't stop watching your stand up. So enjoy it,Such a shame!! John may you RIP.
Just floored at the news...how many laughs I have had over the years, countless. All my best to John's family...Heaven is laughing loud now...see you one day my friend.
I'll be over to your mansion in Heaven one day so the show and your warmth will never end. God bless John's family in comfort.
May God bless you and keep you and shine upon your loved ones in this time of loss and mourning.
Rest in peace John. You were the Best!!!!
The world has lost a wonderful comedian and a wonderful man. May God Bless you and keep you. My condolences go out to his family and his millions of fans who adore him!!
To John's family - My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult and unexpected loss. I never felt like when a celebrity passed that it touched me personally, but I felt like John was a friend and I have been touched personally. However, he has made me laugh so many times and I have passed that on to others that did not know of John. He is making all the angels in heaven laugh. He was be missed, but never forgotten.
I had tickets to see John, my favourite comedian for Apr. 23 rd. So I was terribly sad to hear of his death. I have been replaying some of his shows on YouTube. Nay, nay, get out of the line camping, the buffet on the cruise ship, McDonalds, he always mad me laugh out loud and cheered me up.
My prayers & deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Pinette. What a bright spirit he was with a genuine talent he made unique. I've been a huge fan ever since the 1st time I saw him perform. He was honest and true to his craft and his fans. There are a handful of comedians that made me laugh like him. Yet there was still something about his humor that just made you laugh without reservation and with a lot of joy. I am glad I can still watch his specials. I tend to watch on those days I need to laugh. I've looked so forward to seeing him more.
This is such a tremendous loss. I pray your hearts will soon find peace. He was a treasure to many.
Such a great talent gone to soon. Love and prayers to his family.
GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS ARMS AND KEEP YOU SAFE AND WARM IN HEAVEN. ..AMEN

To: John Pinette's Family & Friends,
I'm very sorry for your loss, John was “one in a million”.
I loved his humor and very much appreciated the fact he was intelligent and not a potty mouth in his stand up.
No one did stand up like John, his legacy is a beautiful, talented man that was taken far too early in his life.
He will be missed greatly. You are in my prayers, God bless….
RIP John :)

I discovered John 14 years ago when I was in 3rd grade. I was a husky kid and was teased A lot, but his stand up taught me how to laugh at myself and be funnier then the bullys. I used to preform his routines in class and always got big laughs from them. His comedy got me through some tough times and I'll never forget the influence he had on me.
Thank you John for all the laughs and helping me become the class clown.
Your comedy was so honest and refreshing...I had the privilege of seeing you twice and LOVED both shows...Thank you John for the laughter...I know they are laughing in Heaven. God bless you!!
John brought many smiles and many laughs to all of us. We had the pleasure of meeting him several times. A wonderful and beautiful person. He will be missed

In Memory Of John Pinette
There is no greater gift than making others laugh. John could make anyone laugh by simply being himself, and being himself, made our reality laughable. Thank you for that. You are now among the angels. I still laugh every time I think of John Pinette. Nah Nah is now a household name. We all laugh. God bless and thank you for your stories which makes me smile at the wonderful memories you gave me. I'll see you again, God willing.
My heartfelt condolences go out to John's dear family. He was a light in my life whenever I needed a laugh after a rough day. We had the pleasure to see him 3 times in person in AC, and met with him twice after the shows. He was a warm, gracious gentleman, and a cutie pie to boot. Everytime I told him "we love you" he'd look me in the eyes, and say "and I love you too!" He also gave the best hugs. Our world may be a little darker with his passing, but Heaven is lit up even brighter with his presence. Rest in peace, John. You are dearly loved.
John, You gave me so much joy. Although I am 14, I have enjoyed you since I first saw you on the telethon in 2008. Since then I have seen you 3 times. As a big kid I will continue to find comfort in your comedy. Never will I forget you. God bless you and your family.
John was a gift to all of us. We saw him as often as we could. My sons were lucky enough to meet him in person at Foxwoods last year. He was simply a joy to be shared as just himself. By finding humor in so many ways John brought each of us our own windows to see and laugh at our ownselves through. My sons looked up to him as a man capable of being simply funny without ever needing raunch and filth as a crutch. He was a true comedian that will never be replaced! I will forever be glad to remember and share my memories of excitment as I watched my family look forward to seeing John again. We will all miss you and will cherish your legacy in our home with your DVDs. We wish you a joyous passing to a reward well earned. Our prayers to you and your family. We will all miss you deeply.
I can still see Kathy pushing John in his carriage up Welsh Street! I have had the pleasure of seeing John performed many, many times with Donna(Frotten), and he was so talented. What a legacy.... to give joy & laughter to the world. I know what it is to lose a brother too soon & my heart goes out to the Pinette family.
My heart longs for John's family. We are so fortunate to have been able to experience John's great life. While I never got to see him perform live, I was supposed to see him in Atlanta just a few months ago, but he wasn't able to perform. I think John was one of the funniest people this world has ever known, and I loved that he did it clean! Like so many of the previous posters here, I so very much wish St. Peter told him to "get outta the line!" God Bless the Pinette family as they grieve the loss of a very special man.
I loved John's humor and when I am having a bad day, I would listen to his act and it would always bring a smile to my face. To the family, my sincere condolences and I pray you find comfort in your memories. God Bless

To the Pinette Family,
The world is a little darker since we have lost John's light. But with each night sky full of stars, remember that his light shines on in the heavens and will be the beacon to lead you home someday. Through God's graces, may you and all John's friends and fans receive comfort and healing. God bless you and may the perpetual light shine upon him.
You don't know me, but I'm one of his millions of fans. I have battled depression most of my adult life. He could always make me laugh. About 6 years ago my husband took me to Virginia for our anniversary, from Houston, Texas. I got to tell him that after the show. He said, "Why?!?" I lost a brother to cancer around the same age 8 years ago and miss him every day. Your family is in my prayers. Wish we could have known him better.thank you for sharing him with us. God be with you.
I am also from Malden, MA. While I never had the privilege to know John personally, my Dad did work with his uncle, Billy Pinette, for several years at Mystic Valley Gas Co. (later Boston Gas) in Malden. The joy and laughter he gave to the world will never be forgotten. My sympathies to his family and friends. May his Spirit rest peacefully forever.

John brought so much laughter and joy to my mother, even in her last days. He was a true comedic GENIUS who did not have to be dirty to be funny. And always remember....we were always laughing with John....never at him.

My deepest condolences to John's family - I have fond memories of John from Malden Catholic, where he was a student of mine. He was funny and sensitive, and just a wonderful person. I would often drive him home after his extra hours rehearsing for his MC performances….always knew he would be great! So sorry to see him leave us at such a young age,
John's ability to make me laugh and keep my spirits up saved my life when I was going through some very dark times. Was actually preparing to see him in Englewood, NJ next month and was so excited for the chance to finally see John live after listening to his material for years now. It crushed me to learn he had passed. You could tell that he was a genuinely kind, caring individual with a heart of gold just by the way he presented himself on stage. My deepest condolences go out to the Pinette family and I am deeply sorry for your tragic loss. I probably wouldn't be here and have the great life I have now if it weren't for him.

I was shocked to read about John passing away over the weekend. Days later, I am still saddened feeling his loss. About two years ago, I was introduced to his comedy by a friend via e-mail. I then went on line & You Tube as I wanted to enjoy hearing more of his humor & see his sweet cherubic face. The funny descriptive stories he told his audiences along with his facial expressions were so entertaining. My husband & I spent a few hours that night laughing. Many times since then and, as recent as last week hearing him on Sirius radio as we were driving, he continued to make us laugh out loud. From everything I've read since his passing, I know, besides being a wonderful comedian, he was a warm, generous & compassionate person.
I regret that I didn't get the chance to be in the audience at one of his shows to really feel his energy or experience laughing with others & with him.
Today, as a small tribute to John, I asked my husband to take me a Chinese buffet near our home. Five minutes sitting down after our first round at the buffet, the power went out. While we, along with others continued to make our way up to the buffet several times in the dark, I smiled imagining the humor John would have gotten from it.
As his family, please know that I am truly sorry for your incredible loss. While I know everyone in Heaven is enjoying his humor, I can't help feeling cheated that we didn't get to enjoy him longer.
We will miss you. You were truly one of a kind. You were a delight to this world. Rest in peace.

I sent along a story about John from when we were in college. I just want to add that both of my sons and my wife are big fans of John's humor. We were all sad to hear of John's passing. The Lynch Family offers its deepest sympathy to John's family.
John, you are my favorite comedian...I will carry the gift of laughter you gave with me...thank you for the laughter, and the pure joy your comedic gift brought into my life...you will be missed. My sympathy to The Pinette family and extended friends .
John was truly one-of-a-kind; a great man and comedic actor for the ages.
As John's cousin, I knew him from an early age and reveled in the impressions and impromptu skits he would perform sitting at my mother's kitchen table. I heard him when he was about twelve years of age doing voice impressions that were so authentic you would swear the person he was imitating was in the room with us! He performed a Mae West sing-song that would have brought Mae herself to tears.
John was a multi-talented, funny, kind, generous, humble and ebullient man. So fun to be around, yet so humble and attentive to his friends and family when we had the chance to visit with him in person. He had a tremendous memory and would recall minor details of your last meeting and conversations with him like it had occurred just the previous week.
Truly a fun-loving character that lived his life like it was a stage; just changing the acts and scenery. John was always so kind and personable to my wife and I, and our three sons. He will be dearly missed by all of us…even the sore ribs and stomach muscles we would have from all the laughing we had done after seeing him perform. I am certain John is now holding court with thrilled audiences, including Gramma, Grampa, Dad and many others that have passed before; who were waiting for him with open arms to arrive.
He will always be in our hearts and minds. How could he not??? Whenever anyone hears the words “NAY-NAY” or “You Go Now”, we will see his smiling face in our mind's eye and hear his cherub-like laugh from within.
I know his entire immediate and extended family will find solace in recognizing all of the joy and laughter John brought to us all during his mortal time spent with us here.
Rest in Peace John.
David, Karen, Marc, Sean and Ryan Pinette

We didnt know John personally but loved his specials and the fact that our youngest kids (age 8) could watch his act and giggle right along. We quote his stand-up daily at the dinner table. We didnt know him, but it feels like we lost a family member anyway. God bless his family, I'm sure his great smile will be missed.

You were one of my favorites. We are going to miss you. May you RIP....
A true master. Saw John countless times. Consider him my favorite comedian of all time. Play his DVD's and CD's all the time. Thanks for all the laughs in life, especially when they were needed most. God bless you John.

A Fan !
May this candle light your way to whatever afterlife you are going to. You were bright here, I hope you're bright in the stars.
What a awful, unexpected loss. I so much enjoyed John's "cherub-like demeanor," and so empathized with his frustration with lines and "browsy people." He always made me laugh til I cried. He will truly be missed - His wonderful stories and poignant observations will carry his legacy through our memories. My condolences to his family.
So so sad, my heart hurts. John was a brillant master of his craft lifting spirits and bringing joy and laughter to many. Gone too soon but will not be forgotten. Blessings to John's family and friends.
To John's Family
I was blessed to be a friend of John's in the rooms. His kindness and words of wisdom and comic relief brought me out of my depression. He was a healer from the joy he gave through his words of laughter(the best remedy). I will miss him tremendously he will always be in my heart and on Pandora. Till we meet again Rest in Peace.
Love ya Bob B (carpenter)
John's humor and beautiful smile brought so much joy to so many people. As an Italian American I could relate to many of his stories. Our world was blessed to have been touched by John. My thoughts and prayers go out to John"s family and friends. God will carry all of you through this difficult time.

Thank you for sharing your incredible gift with the rest of the world John. My condolences to the Pinette family and friends. Rest in peace John. God Bless.
Prayers are with you and your family. I have been a fan for years and recently saw John this past December at the keswick theater in glenside, pa. Thank you for making me laugh from the heart. Rest in peace. LB. Drexel Hill, Pa
We first me John at the Tempe Improv in 2006. He came to my cigar shop and we smoked some great cigars, he clowned with my customers and then we had lunch. Thus started our friendship for the next 8 years. Each time he came to Phoenix, we would get together and then see his show. He always had a smile on his face and in turn would light the room up. We will forever miss you John and you will always be in our hearts.
May God comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow.
“Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4).
I saw him many years ago and he was easily the funniest comedian I ever saw. He actually mingle later with the crowd and was a naturally nice man! My prayers go out to his family. His light will still shine bright in his DVD's!
I discovered John Pinette on Comedy Central many years ago and became an instant fan. I told EVERYONE about him; even e-mailing my brother in Italy. It became a domino effect...we just kept telling others about this brilliant comedian who made you laugh from the heart...dal cuore. On Saturday, November 30, 2013, my son and I drove from Baltimore to see him at the Keswick Theater in Pennsylvania. It was an early Christmas gift and one that I shall always cherish. I had a large group and we were all planning to see his next show in Maryland together; I was going to make him pizzelle. Combining ALL of the happiness he brought to ALL of us could not begin to express the immensity of the deep sadness I felt upon hearing of his passing. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and fans. Grazie di cuore for all of the laughter and smiles from just hearing your name. May you rest in peace. Con profonde condoglianze alla famiglia da Rosalinda Mannetta e Famiglia
We are deeply saddened to hear of Johns shocking death. We loved his comedy specials and watched them over and over...and we still will. Our deepest sympathy to his family and other loved ones. Our hearts are broken for you.
My wife and two sons saw John Pinette perform at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax 3 years ago. He was hilarious, and what we have always admired about him was that he was very much a CLEAN comedian. There are very few remaining with such true talent. He was so easy to relate to; we still enjoy his Youtube video clips. In many ways, it feels like a family member has passed. I was also born in 1964. As an only child, I always wished I had a brother like John Pinette. Rest in peace, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.
My husband and I saw his show last year in York pa. and he was sooo good!! We have loved him ever since and were so saddened by his death. Thank you John for your humor and bringing so much joy. God speed
We will miss you rest in peace John

You will be miss in the Klemm family. Give God a great performance up there.
So very sad!!!!! God Bless
My wife and I were struck with sadness to hear of the sudden passing of John. Like so many before have written, he was absolutely one of our favorite comedians. John knew how to put a smile on the face of another human being and make their world a little better place with the happiness he gave. John's comedic gift is a huge loss to his fans and an even bigger one to his family. May God bless his family and immediate circle of dear friends.
Prayers and thoughts to John's family and friends. Watching him while I was going through my own struggles help keep my spirits up. He will be greatly missed for his humorous outlook on life. Rest in Pease

He was so talented; his smile would light up a room. Like so many of his fans; my heart aches because he is gone. I am so grateful for his talent, rest in peace dear John. He will be remembered as one of comedies BEST.

My sincere sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear loved one. May you find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2. Again my deepest sympathy.
I remember the first time I saw him on a last season episode of "Alf". I knew at the time that he was a very talented comic. He is missed already.

Heaven will never be the same. John will have everybody laughing for hours on end. You will be missed. You brought so much joy to so many. RIP my friend.
My husband and I are both so sad about the loss of John Pinette. We had seen him in the Poconos over 22 years ago on our honeymoon before he was famous. We were suppose to go see him on May 24th at Foxwoods!! So so sad, he was a really funny man, so loveable.
I think God said, " You Go Now" He has you and all the happiness you provided all of us.
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
John thank you for all the fun times we shared. You were a pleasure to be around and kept us all in stitches whether on the microphone or just sitting down spending some quality time with friends. You had the timing, the material and the presence that many attempt to achieve in our industry but few reach. Please know that your passing has left us all sad but we also can laugh when we think about those wonderful times that you took to spend with us whether it be friends or audience members you never met you always made each and everyone feel so special. From my family, who shares in the sadness with yours today, may you join with all those who went before you and keep them rolling in those heavenly aisles. John your legacy will live on in the countless hours of recordings and we will forever let your voice be heard for generations to come.
Thanks for your friendship, your professionalism and most of all for just being one of the funniest guys I have ever known. We love you and we will miss you.

John was a very kind, sweet man who loved his family and his comedy family alike. Forever on the road, he always made time for the people who made him the bigger than life star he became. So heartbroken since hearing the news Saturday evening. Jay and I love you and are so glad we all have so much of you recorded everywhere for posterity. I'm going to miss your visits to South Florida and the telephone conversations from the road that had us rolling on floor. Even the simplest of situations you made laughable. My favorite picture is posted here, wish I could hear you chuckle right now.
I offer my sincere condolences to your sister and all of your family at this tragic hour. Rest in Peace.
You made me laugh till I almost peed my pants, I will miss you. Enjoy the afterlife.
Gone too soon, but not forgotten, ever. John not only had a great sense of humor, he blessed us with his big heart. Your laughter will live on John...You are one in a million! R.I.P.
My sincere condolences to John's family. Please always keep in your heart the joy and laughter he brought to so many people he touched. I introduced him to many of our friends and I also introduced his humor to my grandchildren who to this day quote some of John's funny, funny lines. I wish there were more comedians like John who could do their acts without using abusive language. He was a class act and I'm so sorry for your loss. There is now a little less laughter in the world without John.
I am saddened to hear of John's passing. My family and I saw him live in Las Vegas and I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. He was a wonderful comedian. He will be missed.

Loved your stand-up and your guest appearances in movies and shows. You will be missed by many.
To John's family,
Please know that you gave the world the most precious gift of laughter. No matter what we faced in life, an evening with John would wash it all away in an instant. Saw him dozens of times. When we saw him in Hairspray, we ran into him in Time Square afterwards. He was so sweet to ask us to come along. What a precious gift that God let us have for just a moment. May friends give you comfort and time bring you peace.
I have wanted to go see John Pinette at a comedy club for a long time, so I kept my eyes peeled for the opportunity. Thankfully I finally was able to see him perform at The Brea Improve...he was soooo funny!!! Only to hear he died a week later. I'm stunned, saddened, but with a smile happily hoping that John won't have to "grab and move, grab and move" and he already has a "cherub like demeanor" !!! ; )
Myself and friends saw John at Brea, CA Improv just a couple weeks ago. He will be missed greatly. A wonderful talented man.
The world has lost a great comedian! Condolences to family and friends.
John Pinette was a talented and extremely funny comedian. I was crushed when I read of his passing. His humor will be missed.
Met John Pinette in 2009 at a comedy club in Raleigh, North Carolina. Very kind young man who was blessed with the greatest gift of making people laugh. Love and prayers to his family.
Saw John every day for 2 yrs @ Malden Catholic HS, in the plays there, in the halls- always smiling & bringing a smile to all around him...later @ the clubs in Boston, and was very happy for John when I'd see him get roles and watch his career and notoriety grow. Recently introduced my preteens to his comedy as he never had to resort to a bazillion curse words to have you laughing til it hurt. Had planned on sending my father-in-law (whom John referred to as 'the man with the fluff' for his hairstyle :) & mother-in-law to see him on her birthday @ Foxwoods...
This is so so sad, and of course way too premature... I always knew John was destined to bring joy to those around him, and thankfully his craft is preserved in video for future generations. It is also awesome to see so many from all over the US of A were touched, nay tickled, by this talent. Although it's been years since John moved from there I am certain many in the Edgeworth neighborhood share in the Pinette family's grief and have you in their prayers.
A friend to everyone. You will be sorely missed. Condolences & blessings to your family at this time.
My husband and I absolutely loved john and his stand up routines we will miss him greatly. Our sympathy to his family
The Grubb Family
I last saw John when he was playing The Park West in Chicago this past winter. Despite the bitter cold and his health issues, he stood out front with his fans handing out autographs. He looked so handsome and so happy. When I went to give him a hug, he told me that "He'd been filling the hole in his heart with food for too long..." I will never forget the gift of that wisdom he shared with me and the profound impact it had on me. He was, and always will be, loved very much. My prayers go out to his family along with my thanks...thank you for sharing your dear John with all of us.
John, you made us laugh many times - we saw you at The Comedy Corner several times, and it was always a treat. Once you even included our friend as part of your act and he didn't even know it - while we howled. We quote your chinese buffet bit all the time. Thank you for sharing your gift with us and soar with the angels to that chinese buffet in the sky.
My love and I, will miss your wonderful sense of humor. Rest In Peace...
Very saddened by Johns passing. may his family and friends take comfort in how many smiles he put on faces. "free willy" and may you RIP
Remember age is a number to let you know how long you live. Eternal life is forever and has no age requirement. Rest in the peacefulness of Paradise John.
So missing you John! was looking forward to your show and laughing seeing you in person. You brought such smiles to me and my family. I will never forget you and my heartaches god got a good one! Sending prayers and Love to your family at this difficult time. xo

My sympathy to John's family and friends. What an awful loss. He was Great! So talented and a smile that lights up a room. Rest in Peace dear John.
John Pinette was such a talent, so very funny. We laughed ourselves silly when we first saw him in "I'm Starvin'!" and every time we watched it on DVD after that. A friend of ours benefitted from that same comedy show on DVD while undergoing chemo; she'd play the disc in her portable DVD player and laugh so much while in treatment, the nurses would come in to see what was so funny. What a great loss it is for all of us to no longer have him here. Our condolences to John's family and friends.
I became a fan of john very early and seen him many times. I even took my mom to see him last year in Joliet Illinois and she was an instant fan John you miss be missed by many. when I heard I just could not believe it you were way to young. I wish your family the very best threw this very hard time. and John R.I.P. till I meet you again in the after life Gino
I am sorry for your loss. I hope you can find comfort in the words written at (Jeremiah 29:11,12)
To our friend! John we saw you several times when you came to Cleveland Ohio at Hilarities. In fact just about everytime you came we came to see you.And I remember the first time we saw you we laughed so hard our cheeks hurt when it was over. I had never laughed as much over any other person I ever saw. When you told your stories fact or fiction we felt like we knew you our whole lives. And afterward you so graciously signed a dvd for us after we waited in line to do so. When our youngest daughter finally turned 21 she was able to see you and I can't begin to tell you how much we couldn't wait for you to return. So now that stage will be silent from your voice, talent and cherub like demeanor . We will miss you terribly my friend. Make those angels laugh so we can hear them. We loved your spirit! Bev
whenever i was sad i would watch one ofJohn's video's and it would cheer me up within seconds. I am deeply saddened by his death. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
John, I know you are rocking heaven with the laughter from your jokes.
Requiescat in Pace. You will be missed.
To the Pinette Family, Close Friends, and Many, Many Fans of John Pinette: We are deeply saddened by your loss. Death was not God's original purpose for us, and it is something for which we can never be completely prepared. As we join you in your grief and offer our heartfelt condolences, may you be comforted by the many memories that you shared with John. During times like these, with heavy hearts it is essential to draw close to God in prayer, knowing that He will draw close to us and provide the comfort we need.--James 4:8.
The scripture at Luke 20:38 assures us tat our loved ones are in God's memory gives us comfort in that hope. Sincerest sympathy S. Cullen
John, you were my friend and a brother. I had some of the best times of my life with you, and can't thank you enough for the unforgettable memories and laughs that still come out of nowhere. Few people know what a true warrior you were and how you always took time for others, even at the expense of your own comfort. Thanks for teaching me compassion for others. I love you.
John inspired me to eat better and start working out. I was such a big fan and he had a bigger hill to climb but if John can, I can! 36lbs so far... And dream of buffets every day! Thanks for being there for me when I needed a laugh. I could use one today after learning of your passing. I'm going to celebrate your life at a buffet real soon john. Sadly missed by a RI fan!
Condolences to the family and friends of John Pinette, a very funny and talented man whom I wish I'd had the pleasure of meeting in person. John, thank you for all of the laughs and for blessing us with your wonderful trademark phrases like "Nay nay," "You go now" and "Get out of the line!" You will be remembered with affection. R.I.P.
We saw John three times. All three times we laughed so hard we cried. He will be missed. What a talent! RIP "BIG BOY"
Obviously John was more than his comedy act - but that's how most of us knew him, and what a great comedian he was. I personally appreciated that fact that he was one of the few comedians my whole family could enjoy together. We were so looking forward to his show in May. So sorry for his family and friends - seemed like such a genuinely nice man. I miss him already!
So sorry to hear about the death of this talented person. May God be with you family in this time of distress.

What a tremendously funny man who shared his gift of laughter with us all. May Mr. Pinette rest in peace & we all know that he's exchanging jokes in Heaven.
I had the pleasure of seeing John once, at a "Stand Up For Heroes" benefit in NYC a few years ago. He closed the show, and with good reason: He killed.
I had tears running down my face, because of his impeccable timing and "A" material. And, I have a tear running down my face today, because of the loss we must now endure.
