Always been a fan and now I am in Heaven with you.
I'm in my mid 60's now, and I can say without a doubt, one of the best moments of my life was meeting Johnny and June during their tour here in 1973. Truly the First Family of country music.
Listen to some of your music every day of the year. Saw you live several times. Most notable when you entertained the "troops" on Okinawa in late 1968 or early 1969.
I heard JOHNNY CASH growing up and said I would not have it in my life. But Would you believe that's all I listen to. My life is country, thanks to my parents on every Sat A.M. the radio was on for hours, with Johnny Cash and others.YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND MISSED. Susie Larson Weitzel

Johnny will never be replaced. He was one of a kind. He gave all to everyone. My father met him while he was in the air force during nam. Johnny and June had come to do a show for the troops. Daddy said him and June was just normal people had no airs about them. After June left us Johnny wasnt to far behind. No way he could be here without his love. I know John and June are together and happy. Even though our lifes are darker without him with us, we can be sure he is a shining star looking down.
You will forever live in my mind and heart. I met you at 3 years old and and 44 I still can't let go. You impacted my childhood, and created a wonderful future for me. I will forever be greatful for that. God Bless You Johnny Cash

Hello Johnny Cash! Because of your thousands of songs and inspiration many of us were not afraid to: "Walk The Line". God bless you Johnny and May your Memory Be Eternal!
Johnny was a good singer and well be missed. I love his songs because my mom loved them also. Love you.
May the God of comfort and tender mercies continue to comfort your family and friends, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."" Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of your loss.

WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

I became a fan after watching Walk The Line. Wish I would have discovered you earlier. I hope you and June are singing together in heaven.
My son passed away last May 30,2007. He was a very big fan of yours and his favorite song was "Walk the line". Since then it seems like everytime I get in the car I hear one of your songs. I know if Casey was still alive today he would have signed your guestbook so I am doing it for him. May god be with both of you and look down on us hear on earth.
They are playing a new song on the radio these days and one of the lines is "I wanna love like Johnny and June".......I grew up listening to and loving your music. I still listen to the songs and "Hurt" with all your other fans. You are greatly missed as a great voice was silenced.
Sadly missed by everyone. May you rest in peace, gone but not forgotten.Miss your singing and your music. God bless you always, alway in my heart.
Johnny Cash, one of the best... Forever missed... Love your music...
Ever since I was old enough to know what music was all I can remember was Johnny Cash. I cut my first teeth on the corner of my uncles old mono record player, watching the record go round and round listening to the "Sun" recordings of "Luthers Boogie,Train of Love, Down the Street to 301 ect. and the all famous Folsom Prison Blues and I Walk The Line". I never missed a Johnny cash song. In my early teen age years, I would sit for hours and listen to the 8 track tapes of Johnny cash at San Quentin and live at Folsom Prison. During this time, I was taking some guitar lessons, not knowing any chords, I would sit and strum Johnny Cash and sing every line just like he did. I would imitate him in every way, oil and comb my hair back, wear black clothing, curl my lip when I would sing, strum up on the neck of my guitar and sling my guitar over on my back, just like I saw him do every week on "The Johnny Cash Show", which I never missed an episode. When the rest of my generation were listening to Rock and Roll, I was all Johnny Cash. Now that I know a few chords on the guitar, I still and will continue to sing his songs.Through out the rest of his life I never heard a Johnny Cash song that I did'nt like. A true american he was, always paying tribute to the working man, such as "I pray when I'm dead and the ages shall roll that my body would blacken and turn into coal." I will always believe that grief and the longing to be with his"Darling Companion" June once again led to his departure from this life and being reunited with her again was his blessing. John, I will visit your grave, I will bring my guitar and I will sing a song for you. God bless you for all that you gave to me and to all who heard your music. As another writer once said, "I'll remember You when I've forgotten all the rest". I look forward to shaking your hand in paradise, because as well as you did, I also believe in the "Fourth Man in the Fire". I cried the day that Johnny Cash died, something left me deep inside for the man I never met but greatly adored, sadly will share this life no more. I will always say and if any one should ask, if I could sing like I wanted to, I would sound like Johnny Cash. Sincerely with much sadness and regrets, Rick Atwell
I really like his sound. Riding across country playing it is rather soothing. I look forward to the day when the Almighty will reunite us with those dear ones we've lost.

I grew up and was in the same class with J. R. He was my best friend, and I am part of a group of people working to build a Dyess/Johnny Cash Memorial in Dyess Arkansas. We are in the process of raising funds to complete the project. You can read about it at WWW.dyessday.com
Johnny Cash was one of my father's favorite singers. He was truly talented. Life is precious and the hope of future returned life is truly comforting.
In Memory of Johnny Cash:
A part of my childhood was lost forever when you died. Back in the early 60s in Tyler, TX there was not many radio stations that played diverse music but I am fortunate that it played yours. I can hear "The Ring of Fire" over and over again in my mind. You are one of my favorite all-time singers. I wanted to see you perform but never got to.
"Man in Black", you are sorely missed. Congratulations on the success of the movie, "Walk The Line. May you and June rest in peace.
Chris Fielder - "great great" nephew... Damon's grandson.
I'm from the marine corps from The Nethetlands, Johnnys music dragged me trough several missions. IRAK< AFGANISTAN! Bless Cash!
i love u very much god bless u
I'll see you and June on the Far Side Banks of Jordan
Just today discovered this website. "JR" and I were good friends back in the 30s....played in my grandmothers barn loft before we were old enough to go to school. My uncle Otis dated Louise before he went into the military. We are honoring Johnny every year by giving a memorial concert during "Dyess Days" at Dyess. Yhis year Mickey Gilley and the Urban Coyboy band will be here on July 7, 2007. We are expecting a sellout. A tribute to a legand.
Johnny i always loved your music! IN school we have to do young author books and im writing mine on you!
What can I say about Johnny Cash well the guy had it all the country look is not what made him a great artist.I know in fact the guy was right up there with Elvis Presley he had that great voice and not only that the guy was a successful man who had many many fans who loved him and bought many of his albums.I as a fan will miss that voice that could never be forgotten may his legacy live on.

Hello, I am a guy from Norway that loves listen to Johnny Cash music.
I really relax when I hear his music.
Thanks for the music Johnny !
A little message from Norway, Tor Olestad.
a very great singer has gone - luckily we can enjoy listening to his very great songs - rip
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
I'll miss this good and humble human being. It's been over three years now. An era has gone, but we all can enjoy slipping in the CD's and hearing this wonderful man singing his heart out.I am blessed,[although reluctantly to say for the sake of humility],for sharing the same birthday as John and also posessing the uncanny similarity in voice. Pisceans don't normally "toot their own horns" but I am very happy about it. I know that John and June are together again. What a joy that must be.
I wish to thank Johnny's family for his great legacy.I'm ashamed to say that I have really only been into his music recently. I am 49 and live in the UK,so although I was always aware of Johnny, there always seemed to be other stuff that grabbed me more at the time.I think the American series, paricularly the final one ,to be his finest work.I know lots of fans will disagree, but I think his voice, particularly on American V really touches the human spirit.I hope Johnny and June are together in some other place.
I WAS REALLY A BIG FAN OF JOHNNY CASH,AND HE WILLREALLYBE MISSED. NOT ONLY BY HIS FAMILY BUT HIS FANS ALSO.I PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL BE WITH HIS FAMILY MAY THE LORD BLESS THE FAMILY>
Johnny Cash you changed my life and guitar playing long live the Chica Boom and train
I love Johnny 's music and can 't stop listening to it - Ihave all the movies-that I watch all the time -and my bedroom has loads of posters of him!
God Bless You and Your Family
I am very sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. I met him in Eldorado Arkansas when Win rockefeller was running for Govenor. I was around 12 years old and he looked like a giant to me and had this big grin on his face when I told him I was a guitar Picker and Singer too. He signed an autograph for me and that was awesome then and still is today. I have played and sang most all of Johnny's songs through the years and still do occassionally. He made a profound influence in my life and Music. I'll see you and June in Heaven someday Johnny. Thanks for leaving us a great Legacy......James
i loved johnny cash, he will be missed. i also love the movie, i walk the line, it was awsome!!!!!!!!! the man in black well never be forgotten.
Mark Geuy of Murrieta - Johnny Cash was a great entertainer and I feel he saved his best for last when he did his version of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt". It was so full of emotion that it gave me chills.
Rest in Peace Johnny.
Johnny Cash was my biggest idol. Has a child I learned to play a guitar that no one could play, but I wanted to learn. My 1st. song was Folson Prison Blues, with the picking at age 12.The man in black I was the girl in black. I loved everything about him. He was the greatest singer song writer to ever walk this earth. Then June came along & things just kept getting better. Sad they are gone but never forgotten.
I didn't know Johnny Cash but I saw the movie Walk the line. Now I am a Johnny Cash fan. I read about him all the time. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man. I am 12 years old.
Johnny is my hero. I will wear nothing but black for the rest of my life. I'm so glad to have found this web site. Thank you for letting another fan join!

To the Cash & Carter Family
I have been a big fan of Johnny for many years, since I was about 8 years old. His music had such an impact on my life. His style, grace and his music has touched my life in a whole new way since his passing and June's. They were the perfect couple in the eyes of God.
I send all my deepest sympathy's to all of June and Johnny's family.

Wow I cant believe that it has been almost three years since the passing of Mr. Cash. As a grandson to a former steel guitar player i know how these kinds of deaths can take a toll on the music industries emotions. I lost my Granpa last year which i can say he had the pleasure of playing behind Mr.Cash some years ago. I cant get enough of his music and the movie was amazing. God Bless
john cash and june carter were one of the best i have seen them several times as they played around my area ,they will be missed

Truly the best. People throw out names like Elvis as being the best musician/entertainer ever. The issue is not even debatable. Johnny Cash is the best musician and entertainer EVER. As a 23 year old, I never did get a chance to go to a Johnny Cash show. I have all his music though, and that is enough to keep my ears satisfied for the rest of my life.
To the family, be comforted to know that he was the best. He has made millions of people, my self included, comforted by the sound of his voice and the power of his lyrics.
JR is one of a kind, I have JR and his first wife Vivian wedding invitation that is in mint condition at my home. He gave it to my grandparents and my mon and dad......
Hi I had the privledge to see June and John in concert in 1976 in Nova Scotia. In fact let me share something..on returning from the concert ..my friend told my brother.."Patsy and I seen true love tonight you could see it in their eyes , it was real and so beauitful"Today I seen the movie, Walk The Line. I feel sad that their journey is completed here. However I realize they are singing now with all the Angels Thanks for sharing their gifts and making the world a better place....
I have loved Johnny Cash since the sixties. He was my dad's idol then became mine. I love your web page on him. I seen him and June in person in the early 80's. They where great. It is sad someone so great had to grow old. It has to happen but it still hurts. My fondest memories of him is his railroad songs and most of all is song Give My Love To Rose. I love them.
J.R. I hope you are getting all the hot biscuits & choclate gravy you can stand. We all know how much you loved Mamaw Huff's...We all miss & love you but, we also know you're in that band of Angels...P.S. Rember the Choclate cake & soup beans you & uncle J.E. could put away??? ha! Mamaw does...Barbara Warhurst
J.R.WAS A FRIEND SINCE HE WAS 4 YEARS OLD.I TO LOVED THIS MAN AND ALWAYS APPERACIATED HIM AND HIS MUSIC.HE IS MISSED BY ME AND MILLIONS OF HIS FANS.GOOD BY JOHN.
He was my hero since I first heard him in 1968.
I was lucky to meet him.
I felt his charisma.
I loved his music, still do, always will.
It keeps my eyes wide open all the time, and it opens my heart.
His persona, music, and legacy will endure.
Nobody's gonna fill his shoes.
His music is shining and guiding those who listen.
Thank you Johnny.
I LOVED JOHNNY CASHES MUSIC EVEN AS A BOY.
The Man In Black is still missed all over the world. Your songs are still played and sometimes it is hard to bear it, but I just remember you are in a better place now. Love Ya!
What can you say about the man in black? He was an awesome singer and musician. One of my brother's friends (who was killed in a car accident) as well as myself were and are big Johnny fans. It puts my mind at ease that they are in Heaven together. Seth probably thinks that he couldn't ask for a better Heaven - he's got his idol right with him! Thoughts and prayers are always with the family. I still listen to his music and know that he will be greatly missed.
Johnny, there are no words. You are my music hero. Not only for your wonderful and profound music, but because of the heart and soul that you put into it. Simplicity and yet unsurpassed majesty. Thank you John, for everything you ever did, but especially for The Ballad Of Ira Hayes, The Man In Black, The Man Comes Around and Hurt. All are timeless and all equally move me to tears. God bless John and June Carter Cash.

It was great being Johnny's neighbor in Hiltons, Virginia the very first time i saw him i was just a little baby that could barely walk i didn't see any entrees from anyone else in Hiltons so i guess i am the first may he R.I.P.
I was not what you would call a real fan of the music, but I enjoyed Mr. Cash's cover of Bruce Springsteens "Johnny 99". I thought he did it well.
I have just discovered that Mr. Cash recorded the New Testament of Jesus Christ, and it is still available. I cant wait to hear "that voice" proclaim the good news of our Savior! Mr. Cash is alive and well in Heaven as we speak, due to his belief in Jesus Christ. My best to your family Sir.
I grew up on Jonny Cash Music when I was home in Ohio. 1960's -70's and always loved his music! He was one of our heroes that spoke to our nation about God! Now Johnny and his lovely wife June Carter are happy together in Heaven singing and laughing in a reunion only Heaven can know!
Im into Rock but parents and family brought me up on country.
Johnny cash was the greatest.
I seen him in his last concert before he passed.
It was Great. I love the man forEver.
GODBLESS Johnnie forever.
J.R. I do miss you so very much. I pray the Celistial City, where you now abide, is as wonderful as you dreamed it to be.

I did enjoy your music and your book.Growing up in the South I was lucky to be able to combine my African American Heritage to your enjoyable style.God did richly bless you with much talent.I still listen to my collection of your music.
When he would just get that deep Hmmmmmm going it would just do something to me.
I am glad that he was finally able to do the religious music he always had in his heart.
It's always nice for THE MAN COMES AROUND.
Give June a hug for me when you get there.
Yesterday was a super day for radio.
I kept the radio on all day, listening to country concerts of various artists from the 60's, 70's,and 80's. They featured Johnny, and June, in one segment of the program. It was terriffic. I found myself laughing with joy, at times, and actually shedding a few tears at other times. God, they were so good together. Still in my heart and thoughts. I thank God for them, and for everyone He has brought up, as is bringing up in keeping these old Country traditions alive. I love it.
I miss you and Love you so much. :(
I think of you each and everyday. You are and always will be my hero. God Bless you Johnny and June.
THAK YOU FOR SHARING THE GIFT RECEIVE. SOMETIME LISTENING TO YOUR MUSIC MADE LIFE MUCH SIMPLER FOR ME .THANK YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU. YOU WILL BE MISSED.
JOHNNY AND JUNE, TOGETHER IN HEAVEN, MAKING MUSIC FOR THE ANGELS.
WE WILL MEET AGAIN !!!
ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW THERE IS A BETTER HOME WAITING FOR US.
My husband, who passed away in 1996, loved Johnny Cash. When we married, in 1967, I wasn't that big a fan but, because my husband listened, I listened, and then we saw him and the Carters twice in concert in Memphis. What great shows they were. He was a man for the people and he never forgot that he was born in Arkansas. With him gone, and June and the Carters, there is certainly a light gone from country music.
I was a great fan of Mr. Cash's. His music was/is legendary and his voice, haunting. We miss him terribly but his song will live on forever.
I have listined to Mr. Cash since before I could walk. My mom told me he was one of the greatest country artist of all times. Yes for once my mom and I agree on something.
Here it is May, and I still miss Johnny Cash...
I was born in 1961 - the first music I heard was country music on KRAK, the huge country station that you could hear all over the Central Valley of California. Johnny Cash was the first artist that I was ever aware of, and we had quite a few of his albums.
I had the worst crush on Johnny Cash when I was a kid! I named a succession of short-lived parakeets "JC" - because my sister made fun of me for naming a bird Johnny Cash. I collected pictures, watched his TV show every time it was on, and just mooned the way a little girl will moon over a big ol' good-lookin' country man!
Wasn't he a fine man in his prime, though? Tall, strong, with a big voice and a way about him that let you know that what you were seeing was what you were getting. He didn't try to lie to us about his troubles. Because we knew that he was struggling it made him even more human, and we all applauded his victories.
I was surprised as I could be when June died. It would not have surprised me to lose John, because he was getting old and frail. The shock of her death was made even worse by seeing how it affected John - I knew he would not be with us much longer.
I have always loved the lines that he wrote in the notes of "Unchained," and the last line affects me the most - because I think Johnny Cash achieved this:
"May I be in accordance on my last setting sun."
Troy Kay Henry
I always loved Johnny Cash's music and I knew he was a great person and wonderful husband and father. I think John was one of the greatest and most original entertainers of our lifetime. I had the good fortune to see him in person at a concert at the Forum in Toronto, Ont. in 1990 and I have the pictures of that concert yet! I was very saddened to learn of his death. There will never be another singer like Johnny Cash. What an original voice and what an entertainer. Rest well John!
GREAT MAN FROM ARKANSAS GodSpeed
Johnny Cash has always been my #1 role model and mentor. He has helped me through some very tough times, and has inspired me to follow my dreams. Johnny's life story has motivated me to take a different path in life. I am very thankful to have watched his numerous concerts and to listen to his wonderful music. Johnny will be sadly missed by all, but people everywhere can feel satisfied in knowing that he is with his wife June Carter Cash in Heaven.
I grew up listening to the music of both Johnny, and June. Admired not only where they started from, but also where they arrived. They arrived right at the heart's-door of many beloved people. Also admire the fact, neither of them forgot who they were, nor what they were about. They helped a lot of us get through our dreary days of labor, by brightening our working hours with a song of life application. Sometimes serious, sometimes humorous, sometimes just plain joyous. They always had something that helped make the difference, and perhaps, even teach us something of History and Life, and even Death! "Just shovel a little good earth over my head, have everybody open up a hymn-book, and sing, a happy song." God, love 'em, and of course we know He does. For He Gifted them, and Blessed them, Multipied them, and Blessed us With Them, and By Them. Then He called on them a last time, and the angels carried them into the bosom of Abraham, and the presence of the Everlasting Father. What Beautiful People, What a Beautiful Relationship, What a Beautiful Difference they made in our world. What a Beautiful Memory, and Legacy. What a blessing they have been, and will continue to be. I think tenderly of them, often. May God, continue to bless the family. May God, raise up more of His people, people of the caliber, of Johnny and June Carter Cash. There will never be another like them. But God, is the Good People Business, and so were they. I know they must have helped a lot of talented people into the music business over the years. How fortunate we have been, to have lived in these days!
Johnny Cash's last song 'hurt' is awesome. I heard it on the tv tribute and love it
i am 26 yeas old and only recently (over the past couple of years) discovered mr. cash and his music. my great grandfather was the baptist minister at the church where he first gave his heart to Jesus in Dyce colony ark. a good friend of my mom's and her husband have played with him on some of his records and live performances over the years. i have a home movie from her of him playing with june in the carter homestead before she passed.... it is interesting how peoples lives can become entertwined..... i hope that the people who hear his music will also hear his love for Jesus and his sincerity about that relationship and what it meant to him....
May the Carter-Cash family find comfort in the fact that Johnny and June are together singing gloriously without any illness or pain. God Bless.
Johnny was a great person. He will be greatly missed by one and all. I loved his great music. Johnny and June are once together again. They are in a much better place.I will miss you JOhnny.
Johnny Cash - I love you and miss you so much - thank you Johnny for the Music that you left to the World, thank you Johnny for your Humanity, thank you Johnny for helping the poor and unfortunate, thank you Johnny for marrying that beautiful lady June Carter, please send her our love!!! I know your Music will continue on and you will stay in our hearts always!
I also miss Johnny Cash deeply. He is my hero, and the greatest singer and songwriter on earth. Johnny Cash will always live on, in the hearts of his fans and in his songs, which are continuing to sound - from long-play records, CDs, music videos, music cassettes and many more sources.
By Ken Macksey Nov 2003
"Hello I'm Johnny Cash".... His voice rang loud and clear
But he didn't have to tell us that, it’s the reason that we're here
To help lift our heavy burdens and put aside our daily fears
To hear him sing and lay some stories on our ears
With those 50's Rockabilly hits he exploded on the scene
"Hey porter", "Big River" and "Ballad of a Teenage Queen"
He spoke for those in prison and all who were beaten down
With "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Sunday Morning Coming Down"
He helped us see inside our self
And question how we measure wealth
He showed us how to know and understand our youth
With "Man in Black" and the provocative …"What is Truth…"
A love for helping people he held deep in his heart
And over the years he helped many others get their start
He spoke for the weak, the young and the old, yes he spoke up for us all
He was always challenging convention and standing up proud n tall
He sang songs that made us laugh and songs that made us cry
Songs about life and living and about prisoners who had to die
Song about cars and people and songs about railroad trains
And about our Indian brothers, left dying on the plains
He sang about "Apache Tears"
And helped us all move past our white mans fears
Then in "The Ballad of Ira Hayes"
He reminds us of the honor of the Indians ways
His fame he quietly accepted as his fate
And with June's help he "Beat the Devil" who was pounding at his gate
He tried his best to "Walk the line" and always do what's right
And when ever he would weaken, she helped him "Make It Through The Night"
He sang and played for us for the better part of 50 years
And in his final days he amazed us all…. yes, ....even his peers
He took the song "Hurt" and made it his own
And was given final recognition, how could he have known?
Now I know it isn't easy to speak up and to emulate his life
Especially in this world today, so full of poverty, war and strife
But we all need to help carry off some of the darkness on our back
Cause it can't all be left to just one man in black
I never thought I’d see the day when Johnny wasn’t here
And just how much I’d miss him wasn’t really clear
His songs were a constant companion for many, many years
Now every time I hear him sing it always brings me tears
And although it really hasn't been long
We miss him greatly now that he's gone
From All of us who love his stories and song
Thank's for sharing your life with us and .... Goodbye John
i will truly miss johnny cash.he was like a second father to me.he made the kind of music that would calm you down no matter what mood you was in. in my book he to me was the king of rock n roll.we will truly miss you johnny i just had a grandma pass and im taking it really hard. R.I.P and we miss you love JAMES
Johnny Cash was and is my Nr.1 hero, because the complexity of his persona was almost unreal, and yet he managed to put it all together in music. He was as much creative as honest. He was able to deal with pain in a way that gave consolation to others. Most of all, his personal charisma left me staying in awe and adoration. Thanks, Johnny, for letting me meet you. I treasure what you left, in music and in message. Peace shall be with you in heaven.
Johnny Cash was one of the very few great icons in the world, not just the United States. He was a very special man that was...and still is...loved by everyone. We miss him dearly. He will always be in my heart, he was in my life for 50 years.
Thank you so much for your entries signing this guest book for my Dad. I read EVERY single post. You people are so loving and sweet. thank you. Dad was/is the sweetest man ever. Love, kathy cash
He and June have accompanied my life since I was 9 years old and - I guess - they will for rest of my life. No matter how I felt there was always a song fitting. I'm sad that they're gone - but I'm also happy for him that he is reunited with his soulmate June. They will live on forever through their music ...
Johnny Cash was the greatest recording artist ever. Nobody have put out a more convincing series of albums through 6 decades.
When he left us he was still at the peek of his career!
Johnny you'll be remembered.
A man of rare qualities, John Cash was not only a brilliant singer, songwriter, author and actor. He was also a kind person who gave so much more to the world than people know. Devoted to his family and friends, John is greatly missed by those who knew him and his millions of fans around the world.
A fellow Dyess, Arkansas native.
Johnny was one of a kind. I believe Johnny and June are singing in heaven today. May God bless and be with all the family.
To the family of Johnny Cash:
I have heard a lot of great things about Johnny Cash, but one thing I never heard much about after his death was the fact that he entertained troups in Viet Nam. I was there from July of 68 thru July of 69. One night at the EM club, in Long Bihn where I was stationed, Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash and Carl Perkins put on a great performance. After the show, we all got to go up and shake their hands. I got an autograph from each of them. I told Johnny as I shook his hand that I had enjoyed seeing the Bob Hope show, but that Johnny's show was even greater because we got to go on the stage and talk to him, June and Carl. Not only was Johnny Cash a great singer in my eyes, he was a great man.
My family knew JR and his family very well.. It is a shame that he is gone but thorugh his music, JR will live on the raido and our hearts forever.......
When I was little and going to church with my grandparents, Rev Carl and Lois Appling, I remember passing by what they called "the Cash place" and hearing stories about the flood and the song he sang about it. They had a picture he gave them proudly displayed in the room I always slept in now my son is a die hard fan. His song "Hurt" is a tribute to his willingness to express his heart through his music and continue to dare to be different. God bless your family say hello to my Gran for me.
I love his music, and am very upset that he is gone. A great man will be missed. His last song was one of the best i have ever heard.
JR's loss to the music industry is a tragedy! He will be truly missed, but his songs of true stories will live on! I was blessed to be able to meet him in the 90's here in Memphis along with June. His family and my mother's family were close friends in Dyess while growing up. I was born in Dyess and proud to be born where a 'legend' grew up. JR, tell my grandfather, Rev. Carl Appling of Dyess, hello for me up there in the Pearly Gates! You nor your songs will ever be forgotten!!
I was born and raised at Dyess. All my life I have hear about Johnny Cash. I met him In 67 or 68 when he came back to Dyess for a show. He will be greatly missed by all.
we are so sad that your gone... you were the best...i am 15 and i love your music
Dyess was my home town and still is as my heart is conserned. I am 6 years older than you so I know the family well. My brother A J was a best friend of you and J E. Your parents lived next door to my parents in the town of Dyess. A j and I took a writer from England to Dyess and were invited in to your home on the farm where you grew up. A J said this brings back memories of the nights he spent at your house. I loved your songs not only becaus you were from Dyess but your voice and the words in the songs. I was glad to personaly meet you at your 50th DHS Class reunion and the speech you made. You will be missed but your songs will live on for ever. THE HENSON FAMILIES are deeply saddened by your passing. EVERETT & JOHNNIE HENSON. firstname.lastname@example.org
i heard his last song . it was great. he will be sadly missed.
To the Family of Johnny Cash MIB*,
My deepest sympathies,
He brought a light on some lives when times were hard,
The heavens must be Praisen
they brought there Angel Home..
Tell the boys up there Hello...
May you Rest In Peace with the love of your life..
The first song I remember hearing Johnny sing on the radio was in 1959. The song was I Don't Like It But I guess Things Happen That way. I was 5 at the time. When I was 8 years old my daddy bought a sterio from Sears and a Johnny Cash album the Songs That Made Him Famous. I played it over and over and new the songs by heart. From that time on I have been a Johnny Cash fan and I always will be. I miss him dearly but I know he is not in any more pain and that he is with his beloved June.
I heard a Johnny Cash song for the
first time on a television tribute
show following his death. That song
was the final song he ever made. A
song named "Hurt" i stopped what i
was doing to watch and listen it
moved me almost to tears. He sung
it with all the heart and emotion
of a broken man, every time i listen to it i feel like crying. Being a mere 23 years old Johnny
wasnt of my time but Hurt will
remain one of my favourite songs
of all time. Rest in peace Johnny

BAND OF ANGELS IN THE SKY
I am and always will be a true fan of Johnny Cash.I had the great pleasure of visiting The House of Cash a few years back when my wife Carol and I were in Hendersonville to visit Nadine Orbison the late Mother of Roy Orbison.I have written a poem I'd like to share with his many fans on this site.It is called An Angel in White.
I wanted to write a tribute for the late Johnny Cash but my words seemed not enough so I placed them in the trash.I wanted to paint a picture for all the world to see exactly what a hero is and what he meant to me.I wanted to dress in black and sing his songs so proud but my voice would only crack if I stood before a crowd.I wanted to shake the hand of the man that changed my life and tell him I was also saved by a woman that's my wife.I wanted to do a lot of things to honor the man in black but time has taken him away and there's no coming back.Another great American has gone to the great beyond to live on high forever with the Father and the Son.His life will be remembered and I know in my heart tonight that the Man in Black has changed to An Angel Dressed in White. Thank you for such a great guest book to pay our tributes to Johnny Cash.
I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and June Carter and the Carter family. My mom loves country music and I have loved it all my life. You will be missed but the legacy you and your family leave behind will be with us forever. Sincerely, Linda
Thank you for sharing your talent with the entire world. You have touched many hearts with your inspiring songs, and a voice that held prefect harmony. I have enjoyed sharing your hometown of cotton fields and flatlands in Dyess Arkansas. I grew up in Dyess learning the hard way. I'm happy that you succeeded in all your dreams. I visit Dyess often and your pictures still hang in the halls of our school. You are loved by many and will be missed by all.
You are a legend.
Brenda Davis (Bratton)
he was the greatest.........ever god bless you and keep you, johnny and june
It was sad to lose both Johnny Cash and June Carter-Cash so close together. I enjoyed their music very much and especially their Christmas Specials. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Here's to J R Cash
A man of great talent;
With a voice of truth;
With compassion for mankind
And the soul of a giant....
I can't believe that both Johnny and June are "gone" - but they will never be forgotten. I know they are in heaven with my precious mother who loved them also. KNow that I am praying for the family! John Carter Cash, we have watched you grow up. God Bless....
Truly a great legend who will be greatly missed!!
Just wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my daddy nearly ten years ago, and the pain never really leaves, but he still lives in my thoughts and heart. God will be there to give you both comfort.
JOHNNY CASH! He was bigger than life. Oh the contribution he made to the Music industry. I have 2 of his Sun records on 45rpm . Had them since they were new. Of anyone I have ever seen in person he put on the best show of anyone. Saw him in Green Bay, Wi. in the late 70's. We took my father who had told me if he could see anyone perform it would be Johnny Cash. My father is almost 83 now and still talks about the good time he had. My sympathy to all of his family and friends.
I can't say it surprised me that he passed on so shortly after his beloved June. They were soul mates. Oh the beautiful music there must be at heavens doors! God bless his family and may he rest in peace. He will always be a part of America's history.
You will always be a legend . Your songs and unique voice will never be forgotten by your loyal fans. You were indeed an inspiration to many. May you rest in peace in the hands of Our Lord.
Dearest Jonny Cash, you are one of the family favorites, my late brother Romeo Jr. loved the song with the burning flame I am not sure if that was the tittle but that was his favorite and I loved so many I can not name them all. Thank you for sharing your voice and talent with all of us. God Bless, a friend from MA Sincerely Denise
Goodbye Mr. Johnny Cash.
I Always remember went I first meet you in Ottawa, Ontario. Canada long long time ago, Youre shall be always loved in are heart
Mr.Cash and Mrs Carter-Cash
music. Its sad to lose two legends in such a short time. Your music will live forever.
Johnny Cash was the greatest country music singer there was he will be missed by all ages of people from myself to my 15 year old son he was our favorite and will remain our favorite. He is truly a legend
The love of my life passed away the same time as you... One of our last "debates" was over you... Danny loved music... Music of all kinds... And boy did he love you! As one of the ONLY country singers that he would listen to... (smile) He knew names of songs and the artists from every kind of music... and I knew lyrics from every kind of music... (word for word) The debate was over... What was more important to know... The lyrics or the name of the artist? One Night... One of your songs came on the radio when we were playing darts... I was winning by the way... lol... and it was the song... HURT... For once he was wrong!! I knew it was done by nine inch nails... as well... You did a much BETTER VERSION... Well... I just could understand your voice clearer... Since I think it is the lyrics that are more important to a song... I apperciated your version.... Now... For the rest of my life I will listen to you... and that song... and have the most beautiful memory of my love and because of that ONE song I went out and got ALL your other albums... AND I listen to you and your sweet voice and the words to your songs and I feel like I can relate to you and the world... It helps me to remember and to let go and to move on
and for all these things I thank you!!!
My grandpa was a huge fan of you Johnny. Sorry that it happend to you.
My heart and prayers go out to the families of June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash. I know from experience just how hard yet another loss could be. In 1995 I endured the loss of both of my parents and several other loved oned. In 1998 I had my first granddaughter. In 1999 I had another daughter. In about 30 days I am looking forward to my first grandson.
God gave me many blessings. I know my loved ones are in heaven waiting for me, but I have too much to do here to get there too quickly. One blessing I do have is that I have the memory of waiting on June and Johnny in the 1970's on the PA Turnpike at Howard Johnsons.
Again, my heart and prayers go out to the families and friends.
May God Keep You In His Care,
Remember hearing Johnny sing 'I Walk The Line' as soon as it hit the radio waves in 1956. Still my favorite today.
That was my ultimate favorite song of yours. Seeing that I'm only 12, I guess it makes sense. Most people stared at me when I started to sing along when my social studies teacher played that song. But I'm not ashamed! You were a great man, singer, and inspiration. One song inspired me to go for my goals and I did. I'm now a black belt in Tae Kwon Do! Thanks, Johnny, for inspiration and being an all around great guy! With much love!
The man in black is a hero in my book. Who will be sadly missed, along with his wife, June carter cash. May God Bless you and your family, during these times and always. The day Johnny left us, I played his music over and over..
I am a NYC city songwriter.I met Johnny Cash when I was a 22 year old Airman in the U.S.Air Force.Like Johnny,I spent 4 years of my youth in the Air Force. While I was working as a driver I was assigned to drive the Air Force band/choir who was appearing at the 1986 Statue Of Liberty centenial celebration in New York.Johnny Cash appeared, and spent the entire weekend rehearsing with the other performers for the big night. My memory is meeting him back stage where all of the military and celebrity's (among them was John Denver and Whitney Houston)were free to mingle. All I remember is Johnny standing out as a real grounded unpretentious human being, totally unaffected by his legendary status.I introduced
myself and he took the time to stop and say hello. As a young serviceman,at the time, I felt alot of the other celebrity's looked down upon the one's in uniform. Johnny was, and will always be "The Real Thing".
The man in black, never will we see your like again Johnny! George Jones asked sometime ago "who's gonna fill their shoes" I can see no one on the horizon! We all saw you getting tired, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!! Heaven must have one hell of a Honky Tonk!
He was one of the greatest and he will be forever missed but not forgotten.May his music live on....
I can't imagine what country music is going to be without you. What an honor for the state of Arkansas to be able to call you one of our own.
I think of Jimmy Rodgers. I think of Hank Williams. And, I think of Johnny Cash, among the best of the best, among those each unique and each unequalable.
I saw Johnny Cash, many years ago,Halifax N.S.probably mid 1960's. I enjoyed his concert so much, and in later years, enjoyed Wife June's humor and their Duets. On the Far Side of Jordon,my favorite. A great loss to the Music World
truly a legend that will be missed. may june and johnny rest togetherin wonderful peace
Johnny Cash was one of my favorite singer and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I know the he is so happy to be in Heaven with his dear wife, June.
God's Newest Angel. I hope Heaven is everything you thought it would be. I am sure you were glad to be with June.
Say hi to Jimmy Rodgers for me, we lost another great singer when you left.
Johnny Cash will always remain a legend not only in his music, but in all he has done to help others. He and June will always be remembered as two wonderful people who cared about others and who had an enormous talent in Music. They had the voices of Angels and the hearts of Gold.
I still miss you Johnny..I hope Heaven is everything you always wanted it to be...
Voice of the Land can now be heard

Thanx for the great music Johnny.
I grew up listening to his music. He seemed like a wonderful man. As I got older I didnt here that much of him until recently. He was a great musician.
I never really listened to Johnny. Only when my dad put his songs on the radio. Then my teacher was talking about his songs. So I downloaded "Hurt"...It is simply the most beautiful song I've ever heard.
Im sure I speak for many of his other fans when I say he will be dearly missed

We think that his last video showed more about Johnny Cash the man than any other before. It showed everyone that in the end your love for one another is more important than all the riches in the world. There will be alot of singing going on in Heaven now. God bless the family and friends. He will be sadly missed. I grew up hearing his and Junes voice, the voices of the angels.
I'm only 24 years old. The first time that I heard a Johnny Cash song was on an episode of MTV's "Road Rules" years ago. I've liked his music ever since. Then when you thought he couldn't get any cooler he redid "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. This just shows how popurlar he was, is, and always will be.
A magnificent voice - hey, Sam Phillips could sure pick 'em, couldn't he?
A wonderful presence.
A beautiful legacy.
Unfortunantely, i am not old enough to recall when Johnny was in his "hay day", but i can say that i have MANY wonderful memories listening to his music. My favorites are the songs done with Loretta. They are priceless. He was a wonderful entertainer and will be missed by very much. God Bless..(Thanks for the good memories Johnny)
Johnny Cash was my favorite singer. I was really saddened when I heard that he had passed away. My Grandma loved his music also. My husband and I had the priveledge of seeing Johnny and June in concert quite a few years ago and I'm really glad we did. Both will be truly missed by all. May God give the Cash family the strength they need at this difficult time.
Thanks for the memories..
I am sadden by the loss of Jonnhy Cash. The "magic" of his voice would make you smile, or laugh, or cry. All of life's emotionals were attentive to his words. You will be sadly missed. May you rest in Heavenly peace

SHE'D TELL ALL OF US YOUNGENS TO HUSH, SHE'D STOP WHAT EVER SHE WAS DOING LISTEN AND SING ALONG, THEN WHAT EVER SONG THAT WAS SHE'D SING AND OR HUM IT ALL DAY LONG, UNTIL ANOTHERONE CAME ON AND WE WOULD START ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVEN'T THOUGHT ABOUT THAT MEMORY IN YEARS. I,M NOW 57 YRS. OLD. SO I SAY THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Thank you for the wonderful role model you provided, Johnny Cash. You let us know people could fall down and with God's help, get up again and again. You let us know that being real was possible and that one could be successful being one's self. Thank you for pointing us towards God while keeping your feet on the ground.
Sees you smiling in the afterlife with your arms around June.
Johnny Cash lifted the hearts of many through his poetry and music. He was a great minstrel, but also a great patriot and humanitarian. His presence will not soon be forgotten. We will miss you, Johnny.
My earliest memories of you are of my daddy "weaning" my ears on your LP's in the early 60's. He loved you...and so did I. Thank you for your visible, public faith in God! We'll "Meet You on the Other Side of Jordon"...where "The Family Circle Won't be Broken"

I met Johnny Cash in Saginaw, Michigan in 1956. I walked in his dressing room backstage and we shook hands and talked about music.(I had a teenage band at the time) What a thrill to meet this gentleman. I've been a fan ever since. We walked the line Mr. Cash. I'll miss you dearly. One of your songs "Whose gonna cry when ole john dies" Millions my friend, millions. RIP.

I grew up during the 60's in rural Kansas and the link to the world was the music on the radio. When I listened to rock or country, Johnny Cash was there, guiding and thrilling me. As I grew older, looking for answers, there he was singing Gospel - only he sang it hard, with pathos and truth. His light has gone out, but the illumination still glows. God bless all of the Cash and Carter families; I know they mourn but are comforted knowing that Johnny and June are together forever.
Rest in peace Johnny and June.
You will truly be missed. It is wonderful knowing that we will always have your music to listen to and remember. You will never be forgotten. My thoughts and Prayers are with the family and friends. God Bless.....

He has a way with words and the way he treated people he will be missed and thought of each and every day for the rest of our lives and he leaves something special behind for us all to remember. We all should be greatful for that .
Our thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow. He was one of the best country singers there ever was.
My heart goes out to your family, Johnny was awesome and will be missed greatly.
To the Cash Family-
After June died, I could tell in Johnny's eyes in every interview that he was in extreme pain over losing her. He truly loved her, and although it hurts to be without him, I pray that you take comfort knowing that he has such a wonderful woman who's been waiting for him. They can now rest in the arms of God together.
As a child, Johnny's singing filled our house with wonderful times, my dad would play his guiter to the sounds of his music. At that time, I thought there was only ONE country singer, "Johnny Cash". You will be missed.
Like others, I grew up on your music. Your voice will never be equaled, now rest, you have earned
Another great voice is stilled and will be sorely missed. For fans, he will live on in his music for generations to come. For his family and friends, he will live on in their memories. For all of us, it is a great loss. Peace and Blessings to the family and those closest to Mr. Cash.

front of the tv watching your
weekly show.....wonderful memories
I grew up with the music of Johnny Cash. The man in black it was always Johnny Cash. Now Johnny can sing to the angels and be happy even in death.Take care Johnny "GOD" loves you best.

I am now 54, and grew up with Johnny Cash...he was and will always be one of the best country singers who ever lived..I have just recently lost my son, who was 29, and my only child, and struck by lighting in Fl. on Father's Day,9-15-2003, yeh I know what a day to go, but the Lord needed him for his work, like he needed you Johnny he was my only child..how sad and happy at the same time when we lose someone we love, especially a father or a child, mother or any loved one. For life is somewhat lost without them...I shall miss you Johnny, I hear the train a-coming someday for me, for that is where all the greatest people in the world are now gathering for the great day. I will be there someday too...I am not afraid...I shall love and miss you, hope you have gotten to see my mama who left us 3 yrs ago..for she loved you so much, I even still have 8 tracks or your music, most youngerst have no idea what a 8 track is, but I have some of yours and will treasure them as I treasure you...God be with you...Love, Paula
I shall miss him as much as I do June Carter he was a true giant in country and western .
Thanks for so many good years!!!you will always be remembered!!!
"Together in Heaven"
On Sept. 12,
Two Thousand & Three,
Johnny went to Heaven you see;
He said to his children,
With tears in his eyes;
I'll see you in Heaven,
One day, bye and bye.
As he lay on his bed,
The Twenty-Third Psalm was said,
Johnny, hung his head!!!
On that night,
Not a cloud in the sky;
He bid his children,
a fond goodbye..
As they stood by his bed,
With God's peace in thier hearts;
What a joyous life he had,
As they watched him depart..
There by the shore,
Of the River of Life,
There June was waiting
and his brother to,
Saying welcome home John,
We've been waiting for you.
The angels did sing,
What a joyous day,
One of God's Saints,
Was on his way.
The Angels,Their singing,
Around, God's Great Throne,
To know, Johnny and June,
Are both now at home.....
I loved you both and your music and have listen to you and country music all my life, God's Speed..

When I woke up friday morning to the alarm and heard of the tragic news of Johnny's passing, I was saddened. Johnny Cash inspired some of my poetry is his unique style of truth and realism. Nobody else out there is in any ways alike in the aspect to show someone the blunt truth and put it into a song as well as Johnny Cash did. In my eyes he is the god of music.
I was deeply moved and touched when I heard the news about the passing of a real great musician. there is no way to tell you how
I feel. I'm so saddened, I will miss him a real lot, but he will never go away from our hearts. Johnny is the man in black and will be forever like the king is to rock and roll.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Cash family and friends. Mr. Cash was an ICON in the realm of Country music and music period. He will be sorely missed by his adoring fans. GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU IN HIS LOVING ARMS.
I seen Johnny Cash when I was seventeen years old in concert at the Spring Lake Amusement Park in Oklahoma City in 1964. He became my one of my favorite singer then and will continue to be my favorite. My condolences go out to his family, Johnny will be greatly missed.
I am 38 years old and have really just begun to appreciate Johnny Cash's music. I grew up listening to it because Mr. Cash was my fathers favourite performer. God Bless Johnny and June.

I cant recall a single sunday morning from my early childhood that I didnt awake to the sounds of Johnny Cash playing on my dads record player.(60s)I knew every word to every song on his live albums before I was the age of 6.Id sing and dance as my daddy would play his guitar along to the albums. My dad was possible his 2nd biggest fan, 2nd only to Mrs.June.I saw him in concert when I was about 12, and he introduced his father who was sitting right next to me in the crowd.Im sad to see his life here end,but knowing hes with his wife and people who love him on the other side, like my dad,I know he's earned his place in heaven.Thank you for the memories. My condolences to the family.
With great sorrow and sadness.Mr. Cash was a stallwart in the music industry. God Bless You. Just keep walking the line my friend
My father was a big Johnny Cash fan and so I have many early childhood memories of listening to his music with my dad. He was great and will be missed. My sympathy goes to his family.
everyone will miss you!!!!!!
I can't imagine the grief the family must feel. My heart goes out to your family and friends. I grew up listening to Johnny Cash, Hank Sr and the Carter family. Our downhome BBQ and family gatherings were enhanced by their music.
(My daddy--who is 71--- saw Johnny Cash years ago at the Union County Fair and I still love hearing about it...) Even more so, the pride that I feel in knowing a poor boy from Arkansas rose to the top and did good.
We all feel that America has lost two great legacies.
Many prayers, condolences and love.

Then I was lucky enough, with my parents, to see Johnny and June together in concert in Erie, Pa. It's a memory I will never forget, along with all of his music. He was simply the best. I knew it wouldn't be long before you joined june in heaven, so happy that you are both together again, God Bless. You'll both be missed.
His earthly bonds are free at last,
He now abides in Heaven, First Class,
He's free to soar in God's heavenly plain
Where God and His Angels all remain.
He's free at last from earth's sod,
He has "gone home" to be with God,
He's "crossed over" through the Pearly Gate,
Where love and peace reigns which is great,
His soul is free, He soars up high,
He's with our God up in the sky.
Johnny Cash may your gentle soul rest in peace in house of the God.
Johnny Cash was one of the greatest country singers ever. I watched his tv show when i was growing up, and I loved it. May he always rest in peace.
You were the man. One of a kind. You will always be a legend and an inspiration to true fans of true country music. In our hearts forever.
My father introduced me to his music. A friend gave me the ticket to see him the last time he was in Seattle. For me, he was the greatest thing to come out of country music.
You are the dearest friend I never met. When I was just a kid I learned by ear to play that boom chicka boom style of yours. I am so greatfull to have had the opportunity to learn from the master of country music. Thanks for the memories of teenage queen... a girl of my dreams back in Calgary.

Johnny's music is a major memory of my childhood. "How do you do? My name is Sue!" and how about that automobile! He was a singer with a man's honest voice and the world will miss him.

I was so saddened to hear of Johnny Cash passing away. I've always loved his music and the stories they told. He will be sorely missed by me and my family. My sympathies and prayers to the family of Johnny Cash.
Our deepest sympathy to the cash family,John & june will live on forever.
God be with you during this difficult time. Mr. Cash is a favorite around my house, he will be sorly missed!
My sympathies and condolences to the entire Cash family and friends. The passing of a great spirit in country music, a great man is gone. Even so far away as here in Denmark, Johnny made a great difference to the lives of us who identified ourselves with his music and everyday personality and way of life. Johnny Cash will be dearly missed, but his legacy will carry on forever. The most memorable moment for me personally, was when I saw Johnny Cash portray a character in the Little House on The Praerie series, whom changes from a villain to an honest man. And his words outside the church in Walnut Grove is imprinted on my minds eye. He said, "Something happened to me in there, - something that has never happened to me in all my life", and this is exactly what happened to us all who appreciated and loved Johnny, he changed our lives forever.
And may I say a prayer together with you all.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Thank you, for bringing Johnny Cash into our lives. May he be blessed forever by you, and may his soul forever be with you in heaven.
Stefano Freiesleben Sias,
My mother was a big fan of Johnny's and I grew up listening to 8Tracks of his music and of the carter family. She left us in 1990 to be with Jesus.I know she will be thrilled to hear him sing again! To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord! My prayers go out to the family and friends all around the world, that their hearts will find peace and understanding in this, their time of sadness.
Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time.
AW Johnny, It was a great run; but you will be sorely missed.
To the Carter-Cash Families, May our Almighty King keep both Johnny and June in his loving arms forever. Thank you Johnny for giving us the privaledge of listening to your music and seeing you in the movies. You will be sorely missed!
From the late '70s on, I have been a devoted fan of punk and alternative rock...and Johnny Cash. I wear black, and I recognize a real voice when I hear one. I had the great good fortune to be on the same airplane once with him, flying out of Nashville. I noticed that he was reading a comic book and laughing. There are so few honest people in the industry, and we just lost one of them to heaven.
The man in Black was one of the very best in the industry. He will be sorely missed that is for sure. I saw him once with the Highwaymen and once with June Carter and the other sisters. FANTASTIC shows both. Will miss his music and showmanship, but most of all his honesty and sincerety.
Johnny Cash was the best. Saw him 2 times in Maine. There will never be another person to sing like that. Rest in peace!
JOHNNY CASH YOU ARE THE BEST COUNTRY SINGING IN MY EYES COUNTRY MUSIC HAS TRULY LOST THE BEST AND KNOW YOU AND JUNE ARE HAPPY AGAIN GOD BLESS YOU JOHNNY WE WILL ALL MISS YOU FOREVER
See you in Heaven my friend.
My dear relatives, I have the faith that Johnny & June are together again, with the rest of our long gone relatives and he is telling everyone what greatness is going on here and around us in this world and we will not be forsaken, Johnny and June are together again singing God's praises as never before, probably louder and better then ever, this I believe God had in store for Johnny suffered for many years but he has no more suffering...God Bless All--forever thinking about you all in God's name amen!!!!!!
I have been a fan of Johnny Cash since the beginning of his career. He was a giant in the country music field and loved and most of all respected by millions. He is truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. The world has lost a great one here.
GODSPEED JOHNNEY WE MISS YOU
Johnny Cash was truly an exceptional performer of the old country and western folk songs and ballads and he will be truly missed by his many millions of fans around the world. We have been extremely fortunate to have also lived during his lifetime, and to have viewed and heard his many performances over the years on stage, radio and television. The great man in black will remain a legend for years to come, and each time that we hear one of his great songs, our memories of him will be refreshed.
I spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon surfing the various websites that were hosting tributes to Johnny Cash. There was one site that created a great deal of inner saddness for me and that was one that included a video trailer and his performance of "Hurt", which showed many flashback images of various stages and events that occurred during his lifetime....from a mere child, to a tired old man. I replayed the video and song a number of times, each time listening to the song and watching the images not just with my ears and eyes, but also with an open heart, and to me, he was expressing the various stages of success, failure, happiness, and sadness that he had personally experienced over the years. I do believe, that following the passing of the love of his life, June Carter Cash earlier this year, he began to will himself to die, so that he would be reunited with June for all eternity.
Last week, on the same day that Johnny Cash passed away, the son of another country legend passed away ...... John Ritter. John was the son of Tex Ritter, and just the night before I was listening to some old cassettes that I had tucked away and not played for a while. One of these songs was "Hillbilly Heaven" sung by Tex Ritter. Johnny Cash has gone to join Tex Ritter with his son and other country greats such as Gene Autry, Eddie Arnold, and Jimmy Rogers in God's tender care.
My condolences are extended to the Cash & Carter families.
Our sympathies to the family and friends of the Cash family. Country music has truly lost a giant whom was a positive impact on the music business and whose name is known by even grade school children today. My granddaughter (9yrs) came home from school the other day with tears for Johnny Cash. The name and his music will live forever. Again; all our sympathies.
i was fortunate to be at two of his concerts in saskatoon, some 40 yrs ago.it was johnnys songs and music that got me to play the guitar.our condolences to his family.he will be missed.Jake&Sue.
I grew up listening to Johnny Cash records on my parents stereo. It seems like most of my childhood memories have Johnny Cash music playing in the background.
To all those who loved him and will miss him, may God bless you and ease your sorrow.
He is in Heaven now and has been reunited with his wife.
MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE CASH FAMILY AT THEIR TIME OF GRIEF. JOHNNY HAS ENTERTAINED BILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AND HE WILL BE SINCERLY MISSED. MAY HE REST IN PEACE NOW THAT HE AND JUNE ARE TOGETHER AGAIN. HE WALKED THE LINE AND WE KNOW THEY ARE TOGETHER FOR ETERNITY.
I remember for my 5th birthday, my mom and dad got me my first guitar, so that I could run to the tv with it when you were on, and I'd strum right along with you (or so I thought)! I also got concert tickets to see you for my birthday that year!!! I'll never forget that birthday!!!
GONE; BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
May your family find peace knowing you're now with June, again. Always together!!!!
You will be truly missed, rest in peace.

peace to you and june, may you be together forever.
I listened to Karl Haas' beautiful tribute to America of Johnny Cash songs on WJR Detroit 760 AM this Sunday morning and the memories of my youth and concerts in Saginaw and Flint Michigan flashed in front of my eyes. Bye for now Brother Cash!
Johnny Cash is the reason I and millions more began listening to Country music. His music was real and so was he!
WELL JOHNNY I KNOW U GONE BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN YOUR LOVING FACE AND SINGING GRACE WE WILL MISS U WITH ALL OUR HEARTS BUT WE NO YOU WILL BE SINGING FOR OUR GOD AND WE KNOW U ARE IN A BETTER PLACE WE WILL ALL SEE U WHEN WE GET THERE SO I AM SAYING MY LAST GOOD BYE FOR NOW WE LOVE U JOHNNY ALWAYS
Time heals all wounds. Johnny Cash was a wonderful man and will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace now. Just remember he is in heaven now singing with June. All of his wonderful family is in my thoughts and prayers daily. God Bless You.
I am so sorry to hear that Johnny Cash has passed on and I wish to extend my Deepest Sympathy the Cash Family, Friends, and Loved ones. He was an extraordinary man and he was very blessed to have June Carter as his wife. He was a gifted country singer and a legend in his time. He will be missed, but never forgotten. I believe he is now resting peacefully with June, Waylon Jennings, and other Loved Ones who were there on that shore to greet him as he arrived in that Heavenly Land of Paradise.
I have been a fan since "I Walk The Line" and while being saddened by John's passing, I am comforted that he is with June and safe at home with God
"I still miss some one" will mean even more now. You and June will always be missed.
Johnny Cash finally got to complete his "light" journey he talked of so much recently. When Johnny Cash arrived "home," his wife June was waiting for him with out-stretched arms. His brother was there too, as well as so many of his friends and family. I can only think that in God's perfect will and timing, Johnny Cash had a great "welcome home party" in Heaven with his wife June to greet him. Thank you, Johnny Cash, for the legacy of your music. God Bless his family and friends during this time of sorrow.
What a powerfull loss! Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash will be remembered as Great Legends.
Sarah & Robert
Our most heartfelt sympathy to family and friends. May Our Father comfort you and fill you with His Holy Spirit.
Be not troubled, today June and Johnny Cash are in the presence of our Lord.
I was a pre-teen when I first saw Johnny Cash perform at an army base in France in the late 50's, and his music changed my life. He leaves a legacy that will grow rather than diminish over the years. God is holding Johnny and June in the palm of his hand and humming along right now.
I will miss you being here on earth, but you are reunited with June to spend eternal life together. I will always cherish your music. Thank you.....
You were awesome Johnny Cash! You will be truely missed. God bless you!
I am saddened by the loss of a legend. I find comfort in the thought that God needs Johnny worse than we do. May his music live on forever.
He was a great insperation to all His music will live on for ever.
God's hand was laid upon you and you have completed the mission he set about for you. Thank you for your witness, your song, your character. May God hold and comfort your family in their time of grief. Our prayers are with each of you.
I am 12 years of age and i wanted to say thank you, instead of goodbye. Because i know that you are still with us, though we cannot see you.Thank you, Mr. Cash, for touching our hearts and warming our souls with the sound of your voice. You were and still is one in a million. May you still sing with the angels in heaven. God bless you.
~Adriana Cristina Daly~
The loss of this legend is comparable to a face falling from Mount Rushmore. The man is gone, as we all must do ... but the performances remain; they're electric, fresh and vibrant. They will always be a part of the American fabric of song. He's run towards his heavenly home for years and now his journey is over. What a blessing he was ... i-s ... to us.
YOU WILL BE MISSED BY OUR FAMILY.
BUT WE WILL SE YOU IN THE NEW PARADISE. JOHN 5:25,26 HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON.
There are no words to express the sadness in my heart today at the loss of a "one-of-a-kind", incredibly talented, singer/songwriter. Mr. Johnny Cash made one huge contribution to the music industry. He will forever be in our hearts. I thank God that he was a christian and he and his precious wife, June, are united once again for an eternity! You could always feel and see the special love they had for each other. What a testimony to other couples. I'm 51 now, and I grew up listening to their music. I look forward to seeing them in heaven one day. May God be with the family and loved ones at this time. May He comfort you with beautiful memories. Someone said earlier that God always seems to take the good ones first. Well, I think He just wanted to add some more roses to His rose garden.
THE MAN IN BLACK WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY ALL.
Johnny Cash will be sadly missed. His songs were the best.
We send our deepest sympathy to the family of Johnny Cash. All our life we have been fans of the Man in Black. May He rest in peace with his beloved June.
Johnny Cash was one of the first guys I ever really remember listening to as a child. My dad loved his music, and I couldn't help but gain an appreciation for him due to the exposure.
As I grew and was exposed to other forms of music, I turned my back on much of what my father had me listen to as a kid because it just didn't do anything for me. Still, I never turned off Johnny Cash.
I have since regained an appreciation for some of the stuff I once tossed away, but none of it, nor very much I found without my father, ever compared to him.
Johnny Cash was one of the few guys who could transcend various genres. He is a man everyone knows, no matter where you're from, who you are or what you listen to. Other people wept for Elvis - I wept for Johnny.
He was not only the Man in Black, he was The Man!
I AM A HUGE FAN OF JOHNNY'S.WHEN HEARD HE DIED YESTERDAY I ALMOST CRIED.IVE BEEN A FAN OF HIS SINCE I WAS 10.NOW IM 25 AND I STILL LIKE TO LISTEN TO JOHNNYS MUSIC.GOD BLESS JONHHY AND THE ENTIRE CASH FAMILY.
We will miss you very much, and thank you for all you have done for country music. With Lots of love, the Clifton family.
Johnny Cash has always been my favorite singer. I especially love the song "Ring of Fire". You will be missed by everyone for many years.
The Opry stage will never be the same. Country music and the world has lost a true believer. But tonight the man in black walks the streets of heaven with his beloved June and he is singing still. Sing on Johnny, we will never forget you.
We will keep on the sunny side til we meet again.
Dear Cash Family, Johnny brought joy to all the true fans of country music. We will miss him greatly.
My husband and I went with a friend, who loved everything Johnny Cash stood for and sang, to the Grand Old Opry in Nashville at the Ryman Theatre in the middle 60's. Johnny was on the program that night along with the Carter Family. When Johnny came out to sing, the Carters all came to the side of the stage behind the curtains and June stood there intently watching his every move. Maybe this was when they first fell in love, I do not know, but there was definitely something between them with the looks they gave each other. We sat on the side of the theatre where you had to look through the ropes, so we really got to see the backstage area better than those sitting out front. It was a "hot" time for Johnny with records going gold and appearances everywhere. We had all his records and still have them to this day. May John and June rest in peace and be together again. Our condolences to John Carter Cash and all the family. God bless.
WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY,AND OFFER OUR SINCERE CONDLENCES TO THE MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF ONE OF THE MOST GIFTED ARTISTS IN COUNTRY MUSIC AND SONG WRITING,THE ONE AND ONLY, "MAN IN BLACK."

At peace and resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Johnny Cash was more than just country music. He was one of those rare men who transcended musical style, generation, class and ethnic background. I guess you could say he was for every man.
God has called him home so he can be with his wife June. The world is a lesser place without him but his memory will live on.

Dear Johnny and June:
"Together again, the gray skies are gone. You're back in my arms, right where you belong."
When the Angels come for me and after I see Jesus; I want to run into the arms of my husband.
I know how it feels.
"We'll understand it..All by and by."
I love you both.
Goodbye Cousin John. I never met you but I always loved your and June's music. Its sad to lose two legends in such a short time. Your music will live forever.
What a wonderful man Johnny Cash was.
My husband and I have enjoyed his music for years and thought he and June were an inspiration to lots of people. I know he is in a better place and free of illness and reunited with his beloved June. Our prayers are with all of the family.
Johnny Cash will be well remembered by me because when I was a little girl, his songs on his album were some of the first music I ever listened to. I used to sing with my father as he played the guitar, and we'd sing Johnny Cash's songs. He will be greatly missed.
Thank you for sharing the special gift of your music. You will be missed so much by everyone. We will see you in Glory. Roy Glenn and the GloryHounds Band
I remember when Mr. Cash sang at the fair in Shelton. My parents provided a prime rib for the dinner that was served to him. My mom seasoned it and cooked. They have a meat shop so it was a thrill for them to serve him their home grown beef.
I am so truly sorry to see such a legend pass on, I have been told that I am a 3rd or 4th cousin of Mr. Johnny Cash, I even have cousins with that last name. I have all of his albums from the early years. He will be greatly missed.
How ironic that a Man In Black will continue to shine a light for generations to come through his music.
With heartfelt thanks for all of your wonderful words and melodies.
Johnny you will be greatly missed.I have loved your music for years. Johnny has gone off to a better place. God Bless the family.

Johnny Cash's music will live on in the spirits and minds of those he touched through his powerful music. My thoughts are with the family at this sorrow filled time. I'll never be able to forget him!
I had a conversion experience on August 22, 1975, after watching "Gospel Road." I will always be grateful to June and Johnny for making that movie. We who are left behind are sad because we will miss them in this world, but at the same time, I rejoice that June and Johnny are with their Saviour. There's a heck of a choir in heaven! The circle will NEVER be unbroken. Peace to you! Thank you for sharing him with us.
Never have I seen my boyfriend so moved by the loss of someone. May the Man in Black's music continue to be an inspiration to him and to all...
My sympathies go out to John Carter
and all of the Cash and Carter families. We grew up with Johnny and the Carter family on the radio and television. We will miss them greatly and may they rest in peace.
Thank you Johnny Cash!
What a loss..
He was a great man indeed.
I will wear black for the man in black!
Cash's music made me the man i am today... His songs truely touched me.
God bless you!
I hate that I missed his last performance at the Fold. Obviously, I need to get connected with a better class of insiders.
It's cool that the show is going on tonight over at Hiltons. Wish I could be there as well. (I hope someone is taping it with video.)
His music has alway been in the soundtrack of my life.
And that will never change.
Rejoice in a life well lived.
Johnny Cash the man and his music will be played forever. May he and June make beautiful music together in heaven.
Johnny Cash will be missed. I grew up listening to his songs, and never missed him when he was on tv. Johnny is in Heaven with his wife June, and are together again.
What a truely incredible American. They don't make them like that any more.
We already miss you,Johnny, but your music will keep your memory alive forever.
I'm a hugh fan of Johnny Cash, and I'm very sad to hear of his passing, his music will be greatly missed by ALL of us. We'll be thinking about Johnny for many years to come.
RIP and thanks for everything, Johnny.
Johnny was all about integrity and heart and love - was any performer ever as brave?
We will miss him for all time - but what a legacy he leaves us.
We're all here briefly - no one made as much of their lives as he did - that's something to celebrate, not be sad.
I would just like to pass on to all that the world has lost, and Heaven has gained a great singer and a Holy Man. Johnny, you are so fortunate to be home with GOD.
Johnny Cash was a modern troubador with his guitar slung across his back and the black suit he wore, he was a spokesperson for the everyday man he made you feel welcome to his shows and even on his tv show so when he got to Heaveen he told St.Peter ''Hello I'm Johnny Cash'' mike
Cash's cover of Soudgarden's "Rusty Cage" made me a fan. A true legend is gone. RIP
SADDENED BY THE NEWS YESTERDAY. GROWING UP I USE TO HEAR JOHNNY AND JUNE SINGING. TOO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WERE SINGING ABOUT, BUT MOM HAD HIS ALBUMS AND WE USE TO LISTEN. PRAYERS OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND MUSIC FAMILY.
I am a fan of many different types of music, but there is a special place in my heart for the music of Johnny Cash. Many singers depend on jazzy effects and flashy costumes to carry their songs along. Mr. Cash did his job like any skilled craftsman, letting the words he sang and the tales they told reach the heart and mind of his listeners. I listened to several of his tapes until they were literally worn out. He spoke of tough times, but he also gave you hope of transcending them. He was one tough old bird, and I will miss hearing that gravelly voice. Someone, I can't remember who, said something about Abraham Lincoln that could also apply to Johnny Cash: "Now he belongs to the ages." Rest in peace, my friend.
We are going to miss the man that was country music.
We liked what he was saying to us in song and words.
What an honor to have known Johnny and June Cash through their music. My husband and I are deeply touched by their passing and rejoice that they are together in Heaven. We send love and prayers to their families.
One of the world's greatest entertainers is gone, but his music and legacy will live forever and ever, Amen

Thanks for the music and all the good memories but thank you most of all for your testimonys of your faith in Jesus Christ.
God rest your soul, Johnny. My husband and I have spent many happy hours listening to your wonderful music. I know you're happy, now that you're with June again. My Husband is in Heaven now, so when you see him, just say, "Hello Bill."
I WILL MISS JOHNNY CASH VERY MUCH. HE LOVED HIS WIFE AND HIS HEART COULD NOT TAKE IT ANY MORE. WHEN YOU ARE LONELY, ONLY JESUS IS THE CURE FOR A BROKEN HEART. MAY HE SLEEP WELL....
when I was in fourth grade the teacher invited each of us kids to bring a record to school the next day. Everyone came back, armed with Bee Gees, Peter Frampton and Captain and Tenneill, and so forth. I didnt have a record of my own to bring but my dad had "Live From San Quentin" so I brought that and put it on. Boom-chicka-boom-chicka-boom.... The other kids laughed me out of the classroom for bringing that old fashioned square stuff, but I couldnt have cared less: I knew Johnny Cash was cool and they didn't.
To the family of a great man and performer...I will miss knowing that Johnny Cash is no longer with us. I have listened to his music for 30 years and could never find anything to compare to his presence.
Though Johnny Cash has passed on, he will live forever in music. Whether his own or that that was influenced by him. The "man in black" has touched so many hearts in so many ways!
Regardless of your taste in music, somewhere in the root of it all was Johnny Cash. He was bad boy rocker, country music legend, and if you listen to his vocal style on some songs, quite possibly the impetus to rap! The man personified his music in his tumultuous life. Johnny lived what he played and few will ever hope to compare. His music inspired us all in one way or another and will be sorely missed.
Like many, many others, I am deeply saddened by the news that Johnny Cash has passed away. His musical compositions, his way of interpreting, his singing voice itself, his remarkable personality -- all had a very special quality. He will be greatly missed: for many, life will not be the same without him. I believe that the songs he wrote and his rendition of these and others will endure for many generations. As for me, I am sure to listen to his recordings of religious songs whenever I can on Sundays. I pray especially for his family and close friends at this time.
Jonny CAsh was my hero and i will miss him dearly he as truly and miracle man.
There will NEVER be another close to Johnny Cash. He was truly one of a kind. He will always be loved and never be forgotten.
i have held you in my heart since the very first time I heard you sing.Thank you for all the songs, and happiness you have brought into my life. Rest in Peace.
The world has lost one of it's most talented people but Johnny Cash will live on in his music and in the hearts of those who loved him. My prayers are with the family.
Thanks for sharing your loved one with the rest of the world. Johnny Cash will be greatly missed but his music will live forever.
My prayers are with you during your great loss. May God Bless each and every one of you.
While looking at Delta's sky miles magazine last weekend, one of the stations to listen to had Johnnie Cash & family songs. A twinge of sadness came across as I read how he missed the love of his life and now a week later my heart floods with joy as they are together again! Altho I am no longer crazy about country music, I have and always will love the Cash & Carter tunes. His life portrayed triumph and I am blessed to be a part of it through his music. May God's peace & love comfort those who love & will miss him.
Johnny was the only singer that could tell a story that you could actually feel.

But Roll Around Heaven All Day."
My wife and I have both felt a sadness all day. I hope I will always discover another Johnny Cash song that I haven't heard before.
We are sorry to here of your loss.He was a great singer. In 1970 we had a car with a 8track tape in it and from Pa. to NJ.We listened to his tape (The Best of Jonny Cash) it was the only one we had.Needless to say we don't have the tape anymore but we do know the songs. We laugh about it every time we go to NJ.shores.We will always love him.
Johnny Cash brought so much music into my life. I grew up listening to him because of my parents but I continued listening to his music because, pure and simple, I loved it. His music had messages for all of us. May God bless and comfort his family, and let them take heart in the knowledge that he has now joined his beloved June in the choirs of Heaven. He will be greatly missed.
MAN IN BLACK, WE WILL MISS YOU VERY MUCH! GOD BLESS YOU!
I can still remember in 1962 when Johnny and June came to Wakkanai, Japan to put on a show for us in the Air Force. What a show it was!
To the Carter and Cash families...remember though their physical presence is gone..their music will live forever. God Bless You All.
Saw Johnny many times in New Orleans in the 70s when he had Carl Perkins & the Statler Bros. with him.Hope the Statlers sing at his service.
Thanks for the many wonderful musical memories Johnny!
Deepest Sympathy to the Cash family.
Johnny Cash will be missed dearly, he went through some rough times in his life but he turned his heart to God the Father and he had a good Christian wife, I was saddened when June Carter Cash passed away.
Johnny Cash will be remembered as the Man In Black, I liked his songs and I remember them especially "I Walk The Line" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken".

God be with you Johnny
I'm very sad Johnny Cash is gone. He was a good country singer...I was at the Trace Adkins & Lonestar concert last night and they said something for Johnny...everyone will greatly miss him.
I remember seeing Johnny and June in Oklahoma City in the summer of 1968. They were very gracious and allowed pictures of them together. I have always liked his music, her music, and their music together. Now they will make music together for all eternity.
The music and songs of Johnny Cash will live forever.Condolencies to the family on their loss of a wonderful man.
I am so thankful that June was concerned about Johnny's spiritual condition and helped him to realize his need of a Saviour. Because of that, they are together with the Lord they loved now and forever.
To the family of Johnny & June Carter.I'm so sorry for the lost of your dad. He was a wonderful person & I loved his music. My mom named me after his song A BOY NAMED SUE so I will always remember him . May God Be With each of you & you have my Prayers also. Mary Johnson email@example.com
I grew up a fan of Johnny Cash. The moment that his music deeply impacted me was Christmas morning in 1972.
I have always admired my Dad, and when his back completely failed him that Christmas season, he was confined to his bed, or to crawling wherever he needed to go. It was tough to watch, but I was so proud of him because he didn't despair or feel sorry for himself. He continued to be strong.
For some reason we had the radio on that morning as we brought all the gifts into Mom and Dad's bedroom. As we opened our gifts, and everyone was laughing, the Johnny Cash tune, "I Walk the Line," came on.
Though a love song, it reminded me of how tough, and how caring my Dad was, and remains to this day. I heard the song and thought about how Dad would do anything for us, "...because you're mine - I walk the line."
I have loved the music of Johnny Cash since, and he never let me down in bringing to song the everyday struggles and triumphs of this human existence.
Johnny's in Heaven now with June, and I'm so happy for him. I pray blessings of comfort for his family who must miss him so.
We were very saddened to hear of Johnny Cash's passing. John was a Wonderful person, song writer, and singer. He brought Love and Hope to many. May God be with his Family at this very sad time in their life. Rest in Peace, John, You and your music will live on in our hearts forever.
Johnny will be missed by All. He was a wounderful singer song writter. He has left behind many beautiful songs. His song seemed to have a meaning behind them. We will be able to hear his songs for years to come. Our grand children will proubly aske, Who Is Johnny Cash? Answer will be from me, One of the worlds Best Singer song writters. When his music started I only had to hear one note from him to know who was singing, He was great, and always will be.
GOD BLESS AND BE WITH ALL HIS FAMILY. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEBERED.
This wonderful man shall be missed greatly. He was such a comforting man to watch. I wish him peace.
My prayers and thoughts are with the Cash and Carter families and friends. The Man in Black is gone but his legend will live on forever. He will be greatly missed. He was the serious one that was taken from us yesterday and the comical one was John Ritter. God has a plan for the both of them and it is not for us to question.
Johnny Cash will really be missed.I was a big fan of his.May God bless his family.
thanks for the many years of great music. we have been a cash fan for all our adult life. may GOD bless and comfort your family in this great time of loss.
Johnny Cash's music transcended generations...from my parents to my children, he entertained us all. The music world has lost a true star. We will miss you, Johnny! Rest in peace, in the arms of our Savior, with your beloved June at your side.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family, inlcuding the country music family. When I first became interested in country music in the '60's, Johnny Cash was one of the first singers I grew to love. I had an oportunity to see him, June and the Gatlin Brothers in concert awhile back and wouldn't have missed that show for anything. Mr. Cash, you gave so much to the music world ........ it's going to be a much sadder place place without you. You're back with the lady you love and may you both rest in peace.
Johnny, You meant so much to us. We will never forget you. Tell "June" and Our Family that we too will be coming soon. John, we love you and miss you.God seems to always take the best first.
The music world has lost an amazing singer and songriter. His voice will be missed.
At times like these it's hard to put into words what one is thinking or feeling. My heartfelt prayers goes out to the Cash family and all whose lives Johnny touched. He will greatly be missed by all, but his music will live on and for this the memory of him lives on, too. I love all of his music and have most of his songs. We will Miss you Johnny, but know that you are in a far better place with loved ones who went on before you,,,and will be waiting for us who will meet you there in heaven one day. Your memory will live on because of the music you have done for us....
We will miss you very much.

Hope someone says that about me someday.

I have listened to the "Man in Black" for many years and feel that a light has been extinguished in the world of music today. He now plays with the angels. My condolences to the entire Cash family.

I cannot remember a time in my life when I did not know about Johnny Cash. Thank you for all you did for the music industry, and for all the hours you helped others just by sharing your heart through music. Be at peace.
June and Johnny together again forever. How fitting!
I grew up listening to Johnny Cash (I am 40). My dad played nothing but Johnny's music. I lost my father back in 1994, and everytime I would hear Johnny Cash, makes me think of my dad. My love and sympathy goes out to the Cash Family. He will be greatly missed.
Another Great gone but will never be forgotten.
I am 29 years old and I have known Johnny Cash's music as far back as I can remember. I can still hear my dad playing Johnny's albums from a cabinet stereo system. This world is a better place because of his spirit and his ability to speak the truth. He took up for the underdogs. He gave a voice to people who couldn't speak for themselves. There is no better gift you can give to the world. My family sends best wishes to Johnny's family.
Johnny & June, you will be sorely missed. You left behind a legacy that spans social barriers and will not be soon forgotten. I'll see you by the big river in the sky... Peace.
As a former Marine...and Cherokee...I was and still am touched by the words in his song Ira Hayes...It brings chills to me each time I hear it.
I once met Johnny Cash and he was so very cordial...it was 1969 and I was in uniform, being a veteran himself I know that he knew of the tribulations of the yound men in the service of the country at that time.
I always will cherish the autograph and the few minutes we had together.

Johnny you will be miss by many, God Bless to Your Family, The Lord got you home now too his in His Glory.
I heard the news this morning. I thought today about my own dad, who's been dead for years. He was a fan of Johnny Cash, and I will always remember listening to those old records and tapes. Cash will always be an influence for me on what I like to listen to. I'll miss him. Miss you too, dad.
Johnny Cash was my first musical love, and as a music teacher, I'm still dazzled by his art. No American popular musician has reached so many hearts. To the Cash family, remember that the circle will never be unbroken.
Our generation is very proud of gifts of music Johnny Cash shared with all of us. We attended his performance in Ellensburg, Washington many years ago. It was a special thrill to see and hear Johnny and June sing all of the favorite songs!
Johnny Cash has gone home. Long live his memory and may the things he stood for live forever.
I was extremely saddened when I
heard of his death this morning. Be-
ing a musician myself, I feel another
deep sadness that a fellow musician
would. I have been in tears through-
out the day and made a small mem-
orial outside in my yard and had a
Cash tape on all day over and over.
I am in tears now writing this. God
Bless all the fallen Musicians in this
world. They have made the world so

At times like this when we don’t know what to do
Just talk to God and he will see you through
When words sometimes just won’t do and you don’t know what to say
Just talk to God and let him have his way
When friends and family come and go
Just remember God has an open door
At times like this when words alone won’t do
May God Bless and Comfort you
You Were The Greatest Johnny Cash
The World Lost An Icon In The Country Music World.

I smell frost on cotton leaves,
I feel that Sothern breeze.
I want to send my deepest condolences to the Cash and Carter Families. My Family and I saw Johnny in concert at the Civic Center in Evansville Indiana back in the 80's. He was my Dad's favorite singer.
It's hard to imagine a world without Johnny Cash. Celebrate his life and work.
As a young Nebraska very pregnant wife (at the same time as June) in the early 70's I was in the front row of a Johnny Cash concert in Omaha and later in Lincoln. These were wonderful performances for a country girl who had been a fan for years. Johnny, June, the Carter Family, and the Statler Brothers knew how to put on a "show" and I still enjoy playing their old albums on the turn table. Johnny and June will be missed here on earth but they are again united in heaven. Their children and family has our condolences and are in our prayers.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cash family. Johnny only lasted it 3 months and 14 days on this earth without his June. His songs, his voice, sense of humor, love of life, his family, his friends and most of all, his love for June will always be treasured memories in our hearts. I'm sure that June was waiting for him at the pearly gates with Waylon standing beside her to welcome him to his heavenly home. We will miss you!
Mom and Dad gave me six Johnny Cash albums for Christmas when I was 12. I told mom it was the best Christmas ever!! What an amazing talented man!
Johnny will be missed. My prayers are with his family
You are gone but never will be forgotten.
Say "Hi" to Patsy (Cline) and Roy (Orbison) and now you are where you always wanted to be...with June.

johnny you gone to be with your wife june now hope you to rest in peace now.together.god bless your family
Through the years we've followed Johnny's songs; we even came by to see him once about 10 years or so ago when we were in Nashville singing. It so happened that when we came by Johnny and June were at Dottie West's funeral so we ended up just talking to the security guard. It was always my husband's (Jack) wish to sit down and talk and sing a few songs with Johnny. I guess maybe he'll get to in the "sweet by and by" when all God's family we be over there and the circle will no longer be broken, our condolences to the family.
so sorry to hear about johnny cash passing away and one good thing is he and his wife june are now singing in heaven, he will be greatly missed by all, may god bless you johnny cash, may you rest in peace.
God Bless! There ya go...Ring of Fire with June!
In a word: LEGENDARY
You will be missed. Thank you for sharing your gift of music. God bless you and your family.
The music industry and our lives were richer because we knew Johnny Cash. Now Heaven is richer because Johnny knew the Lord. "...when all of God's singers get Home."
I feel like I lost a family member. The first album I remember listening to as a child was my father's copy of "Johnny Cash live at San Quentin". I'll steal a quote from Bono on him. "In a garden full of weeds - the oak tree." So, I'll give another spin to Cash's American Recording IV and toast to an extra-ordinary life lived. His songs and voice will live on forever.
I just told my thirteen year old son that Johnny Cash had died. I asked him if he knew who Cash was. He replied, "Yeah, that guy that did that really cool song...Well my daddy left home when I was three..."
Johnny, you are timeless, this proves it. You will be missed by all in this family. Be with God.
The world has lost an exceptional songwriter, musician, and human being today. Never forget the legend that is Johnny Cash.
When I was a little girl, I was told the reason he wore black was out of protest...that he would continue to wear black until there was once again peace and unity in the world. How sad that he never got to see that again. But now he's in a place where there is no fighting or terror. He is with his beloved June again and will continue to make beautiful country music with her and his friends.
We will always remember Johnny Cash, in Newport News, Virginia. Johnny was someone we enjoyed listening to on radio & TV. He was one of a kind. Our Sympathy to the entire Cash/Carter families.
Thanks for many years of good old country music, and my best to the family.
Loved the man in black,a true legand. God Bless. Our prayers are with the family
Our Sympathy to the Cash Family on the passing of your Loved one, My Dad recently passed on 3 weeks ago, and was a fan of Johnny Cash,I hope God saved Dad a good seat at the Heavenly Concert..

you will be miss. but your song will live on. deby
You can tell what kind of person he was by his music. He spoke to everybody. We will miss you.
Johnny Cash gave us more than just music, although that would have been sufficient. He portrayed the guy down on his luck who carried on anyway and had the spirit I like to think of as the essence of American. God Bless, Johnny!
As a Nashville native, I grew up idolizing The Man In Black. He will be greatly missed, and Nashville will have big shoes to fill.
Truly a legend! God bless the Cash and Carter families!
God! how I will miss The Man. We all looked forward to the day when "The Man Comes Around". That day is forever gone.
Will the Circle be Unbroken? We lost a legend on this day. Now John and June are with the rest of the Carter Family, Mother Maybelle and Junes sisters teaching the Angels all the classics. And right along with them is Tex Ritter chatting to his son John. So the circle hasn't been broken: It has been renewed.
"DO NOT MARVEL AT THIS BECAUSE THE HOUR IS COMING IN WHICH ALL THOSE IN THE MEMORIAL TOMBS WILL HEAR HIS VOICE AND COME OUT..." john 5:28,29
Johnny Cash you and the work you left behind will be Greatly missed.
My in-laws were very close friends with Johnny's sister Louise. We were very sad to hear of Johnny's passing as well. The world has lost a great talent. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family!

When I was a young man in the AF in Michigan, Johnny was all we listened to. I still have the old worn out album that I bought that with all his early songs. Thanks Cash for all the good memories. May God grant peace to your family, friends & fans.
I first saw Cash in concert in 1997 at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Soon after he retired from touring and I want to say how blessed I am for getting to experience his voice and presence first hand. I will miss him. His songs have played in the background music of my life for many years.
Our sympathy goes out to all of
Johnny Cash's family and friends
Our Love and Prayers
Juan and Betsy Figueroa
Another Great Man is gone, but what a great man we were blessed to have his music
I can only imagine my loved ones being joined by Johnny & June Carter Cash in that fabulous HEAVENLY CHOIR.
I'm a 30 year old who's never much been into country music, but I've ALWAYS loved Johnny Cash and will miss him keenly. He was truly unique, and will never be forgotten or replaced.
Although I am young, your music has been meaningful. Not only to me but many of us who were overlooked by society. You have shown that the common man can achieve anything they set out to do. For this lesson, I thank you....
May the spirits shine warmly upon your cheeks...
Run softly blue river while Johnny crosses over to rest under the shade of that old tree with June, Elvis, Carl and all those other great country music icons. You will be missed Johnny but your music will stay with us for ever.
May the "Man In Black" rest in peace. He will be greatly missed. My condolences goes out to the country music world and the family left behind to mourn his death. He may have left this world, but his music still lives today.
Johnny & June:
Now you're together forever. From those days sitting in the cab of the old farm truck at the cotton fields listening to "A Ring of Fire" and all those other country hits. You will never be forgotten or replaced. God rest your soul and grant you eternal peace. See you again some day in Heaven. Praise Jesus.

I have never been a big fan of country music, but any time Johnny Cash was on the radio or television, I would always listen to him. I always admired him for overcoming his struggles in his life and the love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed and I know that he is now smiling once again being with June his beloved wife.
June looked over her shoulder and there he stood...together again!
He stood straight and tall, a real man...legendary!
I am originally from a very small town in southwest Georgia. I can remember growing up and waking up in the morning listening to the radio(WMGR). We only had one radio station in my town and it was a country radio station. This was the only time my grandmom (who is now deceased) would allow us to listen to the radio. Back then I new all the country songs. Imagine a little black kid singing country songs. I would sing them in school and my friends would want to know...how do u know those country songs...I told them from the radio..we only listen to country music on the radio in my house. Lord, I can remember listening to Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Loretta Lynn, just to name a few.
Those were truly the good ole days.
Johnny Cash u will truly be missed.
I know u are in a better place along with your wife. Thank U for bringing country music into my house and my heart.
God Bless Your Family.
Johnny's work has really enriched my life, many thanks.

"Who's gonna fill those shoes? Who's gonna stand that tall?" Those are the words that came to my mind when I saw that Johnny Cash had died. There will never be another like him and I am greatful that his music will live on through the radio stations that are brave enough to play the legends.
Johnny Cash --my most favored Country Music Star. As an Army man, I most appreciated hearing his songs when in Germany and Korea. I listen closely to his lyrics which were storied about life. He will be missed, but his songs will continue to be played and appreciated for many years to come.

Long before I heard "Ballad of Ira Hays" I loved Johnny Cash...but with that song, he liberated me, opened up my soul, taught me that I was not alone in how I saw and felt things, and inspired me to act.
When I think of Johnny Cash, the words of Joe Ely come to mind:
"She said, "If you're from Texas, son, where's your boots and where's your guns?" I smiled and said, "I've got guns no one can see."
Johnny Cash was a liberator, all up and down the line, and his life was well lived, generous, loving and strong.

Johnny along with Marty Robbins were my favorite performers. I saw Johnny in Oklahoma City several times during the 1960s. Ring Of Fire is still my favorite song.

"I'll fly a starship; across the universe divide--and when I reach the other side, I'll find a place to rest spirit if i can. Perhaps I may become the highwayman again. Or I may simply be a single drop of rain. But I will remain , and I'll be back again, and again, and again, and again."
-Johnny Cash "The Highwayman"
The highwayman will always be remembered. We will miss you Johnny.

John & June Cash were people of great vision and courage. Our nation & President Bush needs to reconize this national ICON with the "medal of freedom" & "a stamp"!!
We remember driving around "old hickory and watching their cat jumping the wall! True Americans. It's appropriate that John died on Sept. 12. We pray for John & June.
I remember my Mom listening to his music when I was little. I have always loved his voice. May he rest in peace.
I loved all his songs, especially the ones with his wife June. They
were a Perfect Loving Couple.
I will keep the family of Mr. Cash in my prayers. I loved the "Little House on the Prarie" episode where Johnny and his wife played as a traveling preacher and his wife. You have touched a great many lives.
Johnny Cash, to me, was country music. He was my dad's favorite. My dad played his albums every Sunday morning. He brought the working man to the forefront.
When I woke this morning and heard about Johnny Cash, my first thought was "What Rejoicing in Heaven there is." And I thought of my Daddy "Rodney Butler", listening and enjoying the singing of the "Man In Black"! I grew up on Country and Western Music, have visited the Grand Ole Opry several times, there is not a sweeter sound. June and Johnny Cash are together again. Although we know she never really left him. This was not a surprise, neither could be apart from each other. What peace there is Heaven, not pain, hurting or sorrow. Mr. Cash may you rest and enjoy the Heavens above! To his children keep the fond memories, they are what will keep you going, until the great day you are united.
For me, Johnny Cash was not only an influential artist, but an influential American. To me, his life symbolizes America.
God Bless Johnny Cash.
