Just as no man has power over the spirit or can restrain the spirit, so no one has power over the day of death. Just as no one is discharged during a war, so wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape. All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm. (Ecclesiastes 8:8,9). We still send our love and condolence to Justin's family and friends who will always have this needless loss on their hearts and mind.
Dan and Rhonda,
We are both very saddened to hear of your loss and yet know that Justin's goodness touched so many lives that his memory will stay with us all.
Peace be with you.
I did not know your husband/father/son. May God bring you peace in your time of sorrow. You and your family's have my condolence's. May Justin rest in peace! God Bless you all
I knew Justin from a SATCOM class I attended with him and Jesse Orchard back in January 2005. They were sitting next to me and I overheard them talking about names for a guild in World of Warcraft--they wanted something from Monty Python for a guild name, and I helped them out by proposing the name Autonomous Collective. Next thing I knew, they had me hooked on the game and we had many good times playing together. Justin had a great sense of humor and was a very generous person--someone I am glad to call a friend. Justin, you are truly missed.
You were very much loved by your Fort Hood Family.
My brother and I heard about this, and just wanted to say how sorry we were. our full names are Louis DeCrow, and Abe DeCrow. We live in Colorado. We can be reached by E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
My deepest sympathy to Justin's family. I did not know Justin personally, but as a fellow SATCOM'er I have heard of him and served with Soldiers he has trained. He has a great reputation and I have heard nothing but good things about him as a Soldier and a person. Please be comforted by the legacy Justin has left behind.
My name is Jennifer Orchard, my husband Jesse Orchard and I were close with Justin's family when we were stationed at Ft. Gordon. With permission from Justin's wife, Marikay I am creating a book for their daughter. It is going to be compiled of funny stories and memorable moments of Justin so that Kylah can look back and remember her father. I am asking that anyone who has anything to share, a memory, a funny story, a picture, please email it to me at email@example.com This will be something that Kylah can keep forever and remember her father for the wonderful man that he was.
I was stationed with Justin in the 235th Signal Company at Fort Gordon. You have my deepest sympathies and you are in my Hearts and prayers. May he rest in peace. He will never be forgotten.

The Love and Prayers continue to to flow throughout the pages of this guest book. Many people personally know Justin, Marikay and Kylah. While others know his mother, Rhonda or his father Dan. His step-father Todd or his brother Cody.
Still, written throughout these pages are the warm thoughts, prayers and appreciation with respect to a fallen solider and his family. They are written by so many whom never even knew Justin or his loved ones.
This tragic event lays so heavy on my heart because I can not do or say anything to make it easier for the family. I will have to pray for acceptance. But, these pages along with my own words also show me that I am not alone.
I met Justin in Korea. He helped me and my team out when we went to his site there. He was funny, helpful, and a great leader. One of my soldiers had him as an instructor at the school house. This has been felt here in Iraq as well and we're sorry for your loss. You are in our hearts.
Were thinking of you at this time and offering our thoughts and prayers.
Danny, my heart breaks for you and the rest of the family. I am so sorry that your Justin is gone. He grew into a beautiful young man. When the time comes that you can wrap your head around this, feel free to e-mail me and know that your childhood friend is here praying for all of you.
Fred and I send our love and condolences to all of your family.
The Decrow Family:
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of Justin, and our respect and appreciation for your service to our country. My God bless and keep you.
Keep in your heart that God always picks the prettiest flowers.
To The Family Of JUSTIN DECROW:
The members and Staff at Behold The Lamb Ministries would like to take this moment to send our prayers to you and ask that The Great God of this Universe will carry you through this storm. We were saddened to learn of the incidents that occurred at Fort Hood.
We want you to know that "since Jesus came to dwell with us, we know that God is acquainted with our trials, and sympathizes with our griefs. Every son and daughter of Adam may understand that our Creator is the friend of sinners. For in every doctrine of grace, every promise of joy, every deed of love, every divine attraction presented in the Saviour's life on earth, we see "God with us." "[DOA, by EGW] We know that sorrow and pain and are all in the "present tense". We pray that the person responsible will ask for forgiveness we pray that we as humans will forgive the person responsible. "The work of redemption will be complete. In the place where sin abounded, God's grace much more abounds. The earth itself, the very field that Satan claims as his, is to be not only ransomed but exalted. Our little world, under the curse of sin the one dark blot in His glorious creation, will be honored above all other worlds in the universe of God. Here, where the Son of God tabernacled in humanity; where the King of glory lived and suffered and died,--here, when He shall make all things new, the tabernacle of God shall be with men, "and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God." And through endless ages as the redeemed walk in the light of the Lord, they will praise Him for His unspeakable Gift,---"[DOA,by EGW]
As we approach the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas we know that your pain may be greater due to your Loved One's absence. We will be praying with and crying in our hearts. We welcome any prayer request that you may have not only today but in the coming weeks, months and years. We will listen, we will cry with you and we will present all petition before the throne of Christ.
WE LOVE YOU IN CHRIST.

Marikay: I am so sorry for your loss. It's always hard to lose a spouse, even more so under circumstances such as these. I remember when you and Justin lived on Glenn Hills Circle in Augusta, GA. I was your mailman. You were a very nice young couple just starting off in life. You have my very deepest sympathies.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
This is such a senseless tragedy but only God knows the reason. I am sorry for your loss but please keep your faith. Keep the memories alive in your hearts and allow them to bring a smile to your face when the sadness clouds you. God bless you. You will see him again.
Help From God
And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.
God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
My sincere condolences, may these and many of God's promises give you comfort and strenght to endure from one day to next.
Thank you so much, for allowing your loved one to fight for my freedom, and that of my friends and family. It is a terrible tragedy when a young person dies, and even worse due to these circumstances. Please just remember that his memories stay alive forever in your hearts. God Bless
Our thoughts and prayers are extended. We will never forget.
To Marikay and Kylah, and of course, Danny -- this is Diane in Colorado. When Danny called and told me what happened, I couldn't get my head around it. I only can remember Justin and Marikay at their wedding and those early days together -- so completely in love and devoted. And I can easily remember Danny and Justin playing and scruffing around, with the pride on Danny's face just beaming. These are my memories. God bless everyone with the strength and faith it will require to live with this unbearable tragedy! I'm here if you need me.
My heart goes out to the family and friends, may you find the peace you need in this terrible time.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Thankyou for serving our country. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

To the family of Staff Sgt. Justin DeCrow: I am so sorry for your loss.I had the Great priveledge of serving with SSG Decrow at Ft.Gordon and the Ceremonial Detachment in 2002-2003. He was the type of soldier that no matter what time you called him or told him that there was a mission/ceremony he was ready, standing tall and looking good. We would sit in the office for hours talking about our family's. He will be missed.

I was so happy when I finaly found you three again. When I left Ft. Hood back in 99 I don't think a week has gone by that I haven't said something about you guys to someone. Prayers for you.
Dear MariKay and Kylah:
Prayers to you and your family as you mourn the loss of your loved one. This could have easily been my brother. Major Aaron Baugher of the U.S. Army. He also trains men in the feild and goes between D.C. and Ft. Hood. I was shocked and was angry at the same time. Sorrow soon hit and the reality that my brother probably knew some of these people. Probably even worked with them. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and I will always remember this day.
Love in Christ

MariKay and Kylah, our prayers, love and thoughts go out to you and to your whole family. May you feel the presence and hugs from the God of all comfort and love. One day we will all be re-united with those loved ones that have gone on before us and that will be a major celebration.

He is one person that I know would do anything for anyone. I will miss you.
I was stationed with Justin from 2003-2007 at Fort Gordon, GA and also in South Korea in 2008. He went out of his way to be nice to everyone he met. Everyone who knew him loved him. When I first met Justin DeCrow 8yrs ago I knew he was one of those "one of a kind people". He was a joker, he could always get you to laught or smile. He was rarely wearing a frown. I was newly married to an Army man stationed at Ft. Gordon with no place to live. Justin and his family took me into thier home and treated me like family. They were amazing people. Giving and loving. I have amazing memories with this family. I am deeply saddened by this loss. I will never forget what this family has given to me. I pray thier hearts will heal. Rest in peace Justin, you will be missed.
I am deeply saddened by the events that took place last Thursday. I was in the same company with Justin when he was station at Fort Gordon as an Instuctor from 2004- 06. He was one of the nicest guys you could meet. It seemed like everyone truely enjoyed his company when he was around. He would always keep us going with his jokes, it seemed like he always had one. I remember doing PT with him after work somedays, we would usually go to the pool to swim laps. I remember him telling me that he was logging his laps to see how many miles he could swim. I really feel for his Family and those close to him. He will truely be missed by all. I am actually stationed out of Fort Hood but I am currently in Iraq where I have been since July. My wife and kids are back in Fort Hood where we live on Post. To The Family: If you need anything, please do not hesitate to let your Military Family know. We are here for you. My Prayer is that God will comfort your heart in this time of trouble.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
To the family of Justin Decrow we send our deepest sympathies of your loss. We will keep you in our prayers. God will be with you through this time.

I served with Justin from early 1998 to around 2000 while we were both in 1/82fa at Fort Hood. He was one of the best guys to spend time with, and he kept me laughing in the field. The world last a great man. My prayers are with his Family. As much as I'm hurt I can't imagine how they feel.
To Justin's memory, and the DeCrow family: It's hard to think of the right words... As a former soldier (Army Infantry, National Guard), I feel somehow connected to this situation. Justin was an outstanding individual. You only had to meet him once to learn that. I had the honor of getting to know him, and I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family.
