Prayer for a Deceased President of Poland

In Your wise providence, O God, You wished Your servant Polish President Lech Kaczynski to be counted one of the Presidents. Please number him also among the company of Your saintly Presidents, we beg You, since he ruled as custodian on earth of Your only Son. Lord, as we mourn the sudden death of Polish President, his wife Maria and many leaders (90) of the government, the military, and the Church, show us the immense power of Your goodness and strengthen our belief that THEY have entered into Your Presence. This we ask through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

O Lord, We humbly pray that You direct the leaders of Poland, the leaders of this great nation now in this time of crisis. Grant them wisdom and understanding, and help them to respond quickly and effectively to this situation. Direct them that they may do what is right in Your sight. May they follow Your Divine Will to lead the Polish nation on the paths of peace and safety.
Unite all response agencies in an organized and harmonious fashion to bring quick and effective resolve to the demands of this crisis. Empower us as Polish citizens to do our own part, financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to support all who have been affected by this tragedy.
O Lord, I pray that You encourage and strengthen Polish nation. Surround Poland with Your Love and Mercy! Bring peace and comfort to all those who are suffering as a result of this crisis. In Jesus' Holy Name. Amen.

Too much blood and too many tears have been shed in Poland throughout her tragic history. We now again weep over all who perished on that fateful flight, for all their families, for all of Poland. But have no fear, even though you "walk in the dark valley, the Lord is at your side ...He will guide you in right paths ...He will give you courage to carry on".

To the family of Lech Karczynski: I am so very sorry about the tragic loss of your mother and father. When tragedy happens like this, it is hard to find the right words to say. When that happens I rely on the greatest spokesman of all, Jesus. His words found in the Bible book of Matthew chapter 11 verses 28-30 are comforting. Please go to him in prayer and allow him to share your load. He loves you and cares for you. May his grace be with you always.
April 15, 2010
A terrible tragedy, we mourn for your country. My great grandmother came to the United States from Poland.
April 15, 2010
You and your beautiful country suffered a great loss. Keep your eyes on our CREATOR and HE will comfort and guide you. It will be a great reunion when you see your loved ones again. I pray you stay strong and never forget the blessed assurance. Cast all your burden on HIM. HE is with you always and will bring you gentle through this. All my love in CHRIST.
April 15, 2010
To the people of Poland:

It’s hard to understand why these beautiful people were taken at this time. Perhaps they have been called to a higher form of work or have been rewarded by release from all work. The loss of so many at one time is a heavy blow. My eyes fill with tears when I think of your nation’s loss. My prayer for you is that the Lord who called them will give you strength to go on from here and that one day your pain will be replaced by beautiful memories.
Nancy Thomas, Goddard, Kansas, USA

Dear People of Poland,
Lord, as we mourn the sudden death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria and many (90) leaders of the government, the military, and the Church, show us the immense power of Your goodness and strengthen our belief that THEY have entered into Your Presence. Amen
We extend our condolences on the passing of your Beloved President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria and many leaders (90) of the government, the military, and the Church.
Dear People of Poland, the losse(s) of the President, his wife Maria and many leaders of the government, the military, and the Church.are very difficult to bear. People of Poland! We share your grief. That's certainly not easy. The process of working through those losses is a very difficult and confusing one. Our Catholic Church tells us it is helpful to pray (eg.the Rosary) for those who have died. We have come to believe that God is at least as upset about your loss as we are. After all, Jesus stood and wept at the tomb of his friend Lazarus. Even Jesus was not spared death. Our comfort is in the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary where we can encounter the reality of our human position and the truth that is Our Lord's agony and death. We sense the sword piercing the heart of his Mother on Calvary, Mother of Jesus felt His pain at Golgatha, that sorrowful pain when you People of Poland experienced now when She saw Jesus expired on the cross and her arms received His broken Body.
Dear People of Poland, you are men and women of prayers we will pray the Rosary with you not only for the Late President but for 20,000 Polish officers and intelligentsia - the victim of the Katyn massacre [Katyn is the site of the Soviet's massacres]. Let us remember July 1943 in our personal intentions, a plane carrying General W. Sikorski plunged into the sea immediately after takeoff from Gibraltar, killing all on board, 15 leaders of the polish government except the pilot.
God, Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of Your servants and handmaids the forgiveness of all their sins. Through our devout prayers may they obtain the pardon which they have always desired. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
April 14, 2010
My deepest sympathy to the people of Poland who have had numerous long struggles. Hold on to your faith, God will not leave you!

Szczesliwy maz, który nie idzie za rada wystepnych,
nie wchodzi na droge grzeszników
i nie siada w kole szyderców,
lecz ma upodobanie w Prawie Pana,
nad Jego Prawem rozmysla dniem i noca.
Jest on jak drzewo zasadzone nad plynaca woda,
które wydaje owoc w swoim czasie,
a liscie jego nie wiedna:
co uczyni, pomyslnie wypada.
Nie tak wystepni, nie tak:
sa oni jak plewa, która wiatr rozmiata.
Totez wystepni nie ostoja sie na sadzie
ani grzesznicy - w zgromadzeniu sprawiedliwych,
bo Pan uznaje droge sprawiedliwych,
a droga wystepnych zaginie. (P.1)

"I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to the people of Poland and express my solidarity with you at this very difficult and sad time. In particular, I want to express my sympathies to the family and friends of those who died."
April 11, 2010
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My sympathy goes out to the families of those who were lost and to the people of Poland generally. It was a Polish general who stopped the invasion of Europe by forces of Islam at Vienna when the rest of Europe sat on their hands. I was evacuated from England, in 1939, leaving Southampton the same day that Hitler began his invasion of that country. I grew up in central Massachusetts and attended school with a large number of Polish-American kids. There was a Polish club down on the lake at White City, to which I was invited frequently, and although I was of an LDS culture and background, I was warmly accepted and loved. Some of my ancestors from Scandivania had left Poland years earlier when that part of Europe was in turmoil. My prayers to all.

To: The Immediate Family of The Late President and the nation of Poland
No one knows what our fate will be...only God!
As you try and channel all the hurt and disbelief, just remember that God is in control of everything!! The loss of a leader is never easy nor is it a state any country wants to experience. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path. My prayers are with the immediate families of all who perished in the accident. My prayers are also for the people of that nation. Weep if you must...but not as those who have no hope! Don't give up stay in the race. Allow the comfort of God's love to encompass you at this sad hour. Lean on Him for He would have it no other way.
Minister of Music Miles Chapel C.M.E.

We are very sorry for your sudden loss of your Polish Leaders today. We pray that God will help all of you to heal and continue with business as your leaders would want you to do. Here is a poem we hope helps all of you to heal:
"Life is but a stopping place
A pause in what's to be
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity
We all have different journeys
Different paths along the way
We all were meant to learn somethings
But never meant to stay
Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know
For some the journey's quicker
For some the journey's slow
And when the journey finally ends
We’ll claim a great reward
And find an everlasting peace
Together with the Lord."
