My condolences to the family of Mr.Bergere . When actors from the 1930s-1980s pass on. Their loved ones can know that they lefted a legacy on film for many generations to come. Also they are Not alone in mourning. Acting is a talent and a precious gift that a lucky few can leave an impression behind. Rip. You will always live on for the hearts of ''Dynasty"fans.

I came across this page somewhere on the internet but I am not sure just where or how. I am sorry to hear about your father. I never met the man but growing up in North Hollywood he was always on tv. I can remember my parents talking fondly of him and saying how much they liked his acting. You probably don't remember me but High School was what we had in common. I am truly sorry to hear about your father.

For Lee...a veteran character actor who appeared in more than 200 television shows, including an original "Star Trek" episode in which he played Abraham Lincoln.

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

The greatest legacy a man can be, is to be the protector and guardian of his daughter, and for that Lee Bergere was a man above all men. His daughter, Mimi, meant the world to him, and I can only hope someday to be that man for her.

Dear Mimi,

I hope all is well I was thinking about you and your father and happened to come across this web site. I miss your dad and think of him often. He was a great man and we had many laughs together.I will never forget his smile, or the facial expressions he never had to say much I always knew exactly what he was thinking just by the look on his face. I also miss talking with you. My best wishes to you and the family. I will never forget you all.

Wanted to add my sympathies for your loss since I just learned of your loss. While visiting family here in Maine I just happened to see him on an episode of "Bonanza" a few moments ago and knew I recognized him from other programs so I looked him up as soon as it was finished. Sure enough he was one of my top favorites from his days on "Dynasty"! He was and always will be one of my most handsome dream men from my 'younger' days! God Bless you, your family and most of all your dad for all the wonderful shows he contributed his skills to!

Dear Mimi,

Your father, in a sense, helped start my professional writing career. He was the first actor I ever interviewed (for Starlog magazine back in 1985). He kindly answered my questions about his role as President Lincoln on Star Trek. Mr. Bergere was humorous, witty and just a very nice person, as well as an extremely versatile actor. I remember his performance as Col. Gibson in the Wild Wild West episode "Night of the Colonel's Ghost" scared me silly as a kid, yet his Mr. Lincoln on Star Trek was reassuringly kind.
take care,

To the Bergere family,
I learned of your loss today and want to express my great respect and admiration for Mr. Bergere's work. His portrayal of President Lincoln on Star Trek has stayed with me since I first saw it as a child and - like Gregory Peck in "To Kill a Mockingbird" - helped encourage me to try to be a good and honorable person. Mr. Bergere truly made the world a better place for his being here. All my best wishes to you in the future.

To the family of Lee Bergere,

I would like to send my deepest condolences on losing your loved one. The memories of Lee Bergere will always be remembered for the love he shared with all who knew him. I know it's not easy knowing that today Lee is no longer with you but Jehovah God promises through his word the Bible at Isaiah 26:19 and Daniel 12:2 that all of us will have a chance to see our loved ones again. I hope these scriptures will be of comfort at this difficult time.
