Lou.... I think of you and Mardi often. Remembering all your optimism and strength after you had the stroke and when Mardi was injured. Your love for Basketball and the kids. Making sure your talent would transcend to all who care to listen. Thanks for the friendship......RIP. Lauren Weichsel Finn
When I hear Barry White singing I think of Lou. I don't know much about basketball but Lou and I shared a common love of Jazz and Blues. After eloping with my husband in 1992 we didn't have a place to have a wedding party and Lou and his wife Mardi said "We Love Parties" so we had our wedding party at his house. Lots of people speak about Lou's basketball accomplishments but he was also an amazing gardener, loved music, and he was very passionate about his Youth Basketball League in Park City which my son participated in. It was an amazing program.
My sincere condolences to Mardi, Adriane and family for your loss. May your happy memories of Lou bring you peace.
Park City, Utah

I found reading Lou Hudson's obituary so refreshing. Not only was he a talented basketball player, but also he was a genuine human being who impacted the lives of many in a memorable way. I must admit that this is such a rare quality in the world today. Certainly Jesus had persons like Lou in mind when he spoke the words at Luke 23:43. With deepest sympathy for your loss as you say goodbye to a loving husband, a devoted father, and a team player in every way!

I Love Lou Hudson. A part of my youth is gone. My idol. Learned the game and how to play it right from watching Mr. Hudson. Wore #23 because of him. That he is not in the HOF is a disgrace. He was just a classy guy, a good man, one of the greatest to ever play in the NBA. He left us too soon. It was an honor to watch him play. My condolences go out to his family and friends. I'm just so sad and cannnot stop the tears. Rest In Peace Mr. Hudson.

Having moved from St. Louis to Atlanta in early 70s I was privileged to watch Lou over his entire career; I also and, more importantly had the honor of meeting him and admired his humble attitude. I still quote to my clients what he said in our meeting: "It is easier to increase your standard of living than to decrease it; that it why I believe in living within my means".
