I take time today to honor Miguel. 11 years after his death. I walked away from the vehicle we were in and only God knows why me instead of Miguel. Every year I remember him in a special way though I have never reached out to his family. I just could not find it in myself to do that. His memory will never die with me. I will hold up a glass tonight and toast Miguel, remember his character, honor his memory.

So I am up right @ 4:24 am now thinking about you. God was so good to me when he gave me you. I stand amazed on how selfless and strong you were. I remember always trying to work so hard at everything just to make you proud. My favorite part was hearing you rejoice at all my accomplishments. Truth is I miss doing life without you....but I know you are rejoicing with the Lord with all my accomplishments. I'm so proud of you very proud of you. It's so in your character to have laid your life down for others. You were already doing so with me and Luis. We both love you.

This message is for Miguel. Sir, You are a great hero to everyone who wakes up not only on American soil but, in any country where the the people stand for what is morally right for humanity! I myself am an American U.S. Soldier.I use to know your sister Angela Quite well. From the good heart and loving mother she is to her adorable child Sebastian, there is no doubt in my mind through the kind person that she was that you were an incredibly inspiring person to her and obviously many others. You took care of your duties as a soldier and as a brother to her.
To the sister Angela, I hope that your son and you are in good health and safety America owes not only Miguel but your entire family a debt which can never fully equal to your brothers sacrifice for our freedom and happiness.
With great respect to Miguel and Angelas family,

Miguel on aug 9 2009 it will be 4 years that you have left this world with no returning. There are no words that can ever come across my heart to define what you mean to me. Even as I write this the tears flow down my cheeks at first it was due to sadness and the pain that swelled up inside me. But now im not sad but very proud im not in denial now I understand Gods work without your sacrifice where would we be today? If it isnt for people who are willing to make an ultimate sacrifice to set an example where would all the things that have meaning in life be? Its breath taking to have the same blood that ran through your veins someone who is a hero someone as courages selfless wise talented the sky is the limit with you and now that is where you've reached.Wow how extraordinary to have been in your life and you in mine you have taught me the real meaning on life, you have coached me and at times I didnt understand your pages in your book of life but if i knew then what I know now you were preparing me for your departure.Nothing was taken for granted Miguel your words are like the wind that brushes through a mid december storm, strong, pure, and white as snow! Dear family of Spc. Miguel Carrasquillo,

We want to say thank you. We understand that no words can be adequate for your sorrow. We certainly do not want to intrude upon your privacy. As Americans we want you to know that we deeply appreciate the ultimate sacrifice your loved one has made for all of us. We also would like for you to be aware that with this letter comes our special concern and prayers for you. We are all safer because young men and women who love their country, and know the value of a free nation, are willing to put themselves in harms way, and lay down their lives to keep this nation free and safe for all of us.
Your sacrifice is also very great. We know that we can give little comfort; however, the knowledge that your loved one did not die in vain, but died in the service of our country, gives each of us a noble example of the value of life, and the responsibility of freedom. We hope this will bring pride and comfort to you.
We at Gethsemane Church believe that there is purpose to life. We send this letter with our deepest appreciation for the greatest of sacrifices, you and your loved one have given to this country. We know it is not enough, but please allow us to assure you that your loved one is not forgotten.

Very Sincerely

Frank G. Noyes

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Miguel, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

"Ski", was one of a kind: brother, friend , soldier, and artist. Theres no doubt in my mind that if still here, he would have been mentioned with the top hip-hop artist of all times. Haveing produced his work and seeing him work in the studio, i have to say i feel very blessed, to have been so close to him. he will be greatly missed by, friends, family, fellow soldiers and, an industry that almost got to share in his god given talent.
i will make it my job and duty to make sure that his album comes out and that the world can understand "THE MAN," and not just the soldier that had his life cut short on Aug.9, 2005 at 1:50pm. There was so so much more and the world will here!!

I miss you so much!!! It still feels as if I am in a bad dream. When we met we were like two peas in a pod. I remember camping out in sleeping bags @ Blake's house in the Cedar's. We'd be up talking for hours about everything. When we were not, you'd be in the corner with a pen and a pad writing lyrics or walking around with your headphones on saying, "No doubt about it, we keep it scumy (Bone Thugs)!" Remember when I taught you how to play "I Declare War." I beat you in less than 15 min. You wanted to play again so bad, but I wouldn't. You threw those cards in the garbage so fast. It was so funny. You were the worst when you lost. Even when you won, you didn't wanna play anymore, because you didn't want to take the chance of loosing. I can go on and on about you, because I have so many memories of you. I'll never forget how sweet you were. Remember the time we went to the movies and my feet were cold, because I wore flip flops; you took off your socks and put them on my feet so they wouldn't be cold. Who does that??? It is because of little things like that, you will always have the biggest part of my heart.
Love Always,

I love you Infinite xoxox Love your Lil Sis!!!

I have just learned of the death of Spc. Miguel Carrasquillo. As the State Chaplain of the Georgia Sons Of The American Revolution and speaking for our President, George Thurmond and more than 1,400 SAR members around the State of Georgia, may I most humbly express the condolences of a grateful Society. Spc. Carrasquillo, wrapped in the integrity of service to our nation and the inestimable values of duty, honor and country, stood on a wall of freedom for us all. His life and his love of country epitomized every attribute of patriotism the Sons Of The American Revolution hold dear. And, as Americans, we could never repay the debt we owe him ..!! Nor the debt we owe you…!!!

I have fought a good fight
I have finished my course
I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2Timothy 4:7-8

I'm praying that God will bless you with good friendship and cheer, not only today, but each day all through the year.

May you find comfort in knowing that others share your loss.
