With deepest condolence.
John 11: 1-44
I really appreciate anyone who is has made the difference in sports. One day we will all have the perfect bodies to do what ever we desire in any sport. I hope the family and friends of Miss Addie fine comfort in that realization. May Miss Addie rest in peace until Jesus says "Wake Up"
May the God of comfort and tender mercies continue to comfort you and your family.
Know that very shortly death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things will have passed away.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
My condolences to the family. No words can express the pain that you are feeling, but just know that prayers are said in your behalf.- Psalm 65:2
May God give you comfort and peace by means of prayer(Philipians 4:6,7).My deepest sympathy
Our thoughts and prayers are for the surviving childen, in particular our friend Rusty, in the loss of their dear mother.
Thank you for all the kind words for my mother. I believe I met nancy once. Dane Barnhard was a legend at Edgemoor when I was growing up. Rob and Georfe arner use to talk about him all the time. regards.
I would like to offer my condolences to the family. Although I did not know Mrs. Addie, I played tennis with Rusty at the Bolles School.
It was a privilege to have the opportunity to receive my very first tennis lesson at age 12 in 1960 at Edgemoor Club from such a legend and icon of the sport !!!
Pauline and her mother, Betsy were great friends and bridge partners of my mother. I had the pleasure of taking tennis lessons from Pauline in the early 1960s at Sidwell. She was a wonderful woman and what a life well lived. My condolences to her children.
70 years of great friendship and love.
Nancy Corbett Dillon (Rollins Roommate)
As a child at Edgemoor in the 60's and '70s and from going to her camp at Sidwell - I looked up to her as an example of a strong, dignified woman. My sincere condolences to the Addie family.
An awesome role model, specially in the
sport of tennis, my heartfelt condolences
to her family. An exceptional human being. May she Rest In Peace.
To the the family of Pauline Betz Addie - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that she will be missed by many.
TO PLAY TENNIS FOR YEARS IN THE 50'S WAS NOT FOR MONEY (there wasn't any}, BUT A TRUE LOVE OF THE GAME. I'VE READ ABOUT YOU AND YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS MANY TIMES BEFORE. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE YOU PLAY. ALSO; YOU WERE A VERY PRETTY WOMAN. REST IN PEACE PAULINE BETZ.
I am sad to hear of the death of Pauline. I not only went to the tennis camp but worked for Pauline for 2 summers. I will always remember the fun times with all the Addie's and the time spent at the camp.
Truly one of a kind. Pauline excelled in everything she did. She was very kind, polite, generous, and extremely modest.
I had the pleasure of knowing her since the early 1950's, and have admired her since day one. We played a fair amount of tennis when she first came to Edgemoor, and she was very helpful in teaching me how to compete at a higher level. She was loved by the local, national, and international tennis community. She was a great human being, and will be missed by family, friends and admirers all over the world.
Pauline words can never describe how you touched my life and many others. Also thanks for sharing to me that your greatest match was your loss in the 45 Forest Hill finals. To all your family and friends and the many wonderful memories I will always cherish.
Pauline touched all of our lives growing up and playing tennis in the Washington area. She will be remembered as a remarkable woman who excelled in so many areas. We send our sympathy.
