WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Richard Widmark is one of my all time favorite actors. I specially love to see him in westerns.I like the way he moves on the screen. As with Richard Widmark seeing him on the screen through the years and identifying in some way with him he becomes like a member of the family. Now that he is no longer with us it is a hurting loss like a family member. But,he will always be with us with his movies.God bless you.
My husband and I always enjoyed Mr. Widmark's movies. He was a wonderful actor. Each time I saw a movie he was in, it became my favorite! Our sincere sympathy to his wife and family for their loss. As long as there are re-runs he will be remembered! God Bless, Virginia and Wayne Miller
He will be missed. I never knew anything about his private life, however, I always respected his acting.

My thoughts goes to Mr.Widmarks family. He's still my favourite actor and he will always be.
To the Widmark Family,
I have enjoyed seeing Mr. Widmark on the screen. He was my favorite actor; He has lead a wonderful life of 93 years.
Life will probably not be the same without such a statue of a man.
Thank you for sharing him with us.

I've seen all of his films, I'm proud to say. He was one of my favorite actors and I will always remember the joy he gave me to see him in wonderful roles he portrayed.
Richard Widmark was an amazing actor, one of the very best I have ever been privileged to see. He was, by far, my favorite. I first became familiar with him when I saw "The Bedford Incident" late one night on cable. Immediately, I was hooked, and his films have brought me so much pleasure for the past 5 years. I will always treasure the autographed picture I received from him just a few years ago. He will be deeply missed, and very fondly remembered.
Mr. Widmark was the best. My deepest sympathies to his family and collegues that knew him best.

thanks for the great films you made
My sincere condolences to Mr Widmark's family. I have been one of his greatest fans since I was 14. His films gave me and countless others so much pleasure, he will be sadly missed.
My mother still has a signed photo she sent away for from a film studio. I inherited her love of films and favourite actors and Richard Widmark was my favourite. So we sign the book from both of us. Thank you for enriching our entertainment and being such a pleasure to watch and thank goodness for celluloid for me you will never die. Much love Zoe and Vicky Hoskins.
My heartfelt love & prayers go out to his family. He was truly one of a kind.
Richard's genius will be sorely missed
My prayers go out to the entire Widmark family. I only knew him through his films and the written word but felt that he was a kind, gentle, generous, gifted and blessed man who will be sorely missed. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange.

Richard Widmark brought joy and happiness to my life through his films. He was a man to be admired, and respected for both his skill on screen and the decent human values he lived by off screen. He'll live forever in my heart.
My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Widmark, especially his daughter and widow. I admired him greatly, personally and professionally--he possessed great integrity, was a devoted family man, and a fantastic actor. He will be missed.

A Reminiscence
YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.
May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.
Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;
To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Richard Widmark. He was one of my favorite actors when I was young. I always knew if he was in a movie it was going to be a good one and would be worth watching. My thoughts and prayers and with you all.
I grew up with Richard and his movies. He was in a class of his own and we will miss him greatly. The movie "Kiss of deadth" was a great one for him and I was only 14 yrs old at the time. God bless him.
Absolutely loved him in "Madigan". Sad to hear he's gone. Condolences to the Widmark family.
To my friend and mentor the great Dick Widmark...I bid you adieu.
YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!
I wish to extend my deepest heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your loved one. At this difficult time many people care about what you are going through, but no one truly understands, all that you are feeling. Jesus was very much touched by the death of his friend Lazarus in John 11: 23-26 He tells Mary, her brother is sleeping and will rise again. Then he began to weep. He also resurrected him to show what he will do for all mankind. What comfort we can draw from the scriptures.

Great actor, loved every film he was in, another great one gone..rest in peace.
A wonderful actor, enjoyed his movies throughout his career. Loved his laugh, and style. He will be missed by many.
Richard Widmark was one of my favorite performers ever since "Kiss of Death". It seems the best of our screen performers is leaving us. We shall miss him.
Truely a master of his craft and one of the most believable actors of all time. God bless Mr. Widmark.
My deepest sympathy to the Family of Richard Widmark. My parents and I enjoyed every performance. After my parents passed, I continued to admire Mr. Widmark for his personality, respect for private life, capabilites as an actor and moral convictions and years of continued success.
We wish that people we love will live on forever - we realize that a higher power determines the time - at 93 years of age, Mr. Widmark was blessed.
You were one of the BEST. Love Ya!
May He rest in peace. They don't make them like him anymore, great performer & man.
May he rest in peace and may God Bless and Confort his family
My heartthrob from teenage years to present. Had to change my clothes in the closet so his picture on my bedroom wall couldn't see the shy teenager. Even wanted to invite to my wedding. A wonderful, talented actor. May you forever rest in peace.
Words to the Family of Richard Widmark, He was a Great actor and I would believe a Great Person to know. May he watch over us to keep us on track.
God Bless
Mr. Widmark - You were my all time favorite actor. You will be deeply missed.
One of my favorite actors of all time and one of the best. You will truly be missed.
HAVE ENJOYED RICHARD WIDMARK'S MOVIES FOR YEARS AND WATCH THE RERUNS ON TV. HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR AND DESERVED TO WIN AN OSCAR
What a loss, great actor and very wonderful man.
My dad owned a theatre in a small town in the 40's and 50's I saw most of his movies and I considered him one of the best on the screen.
Richard Widmark should have had a dozen Oscars. I am sure he didn't care about those trappings of fame. Acting was his vocation and he was brilliant in all his roles. I had a giant crush on him when I was a youngster. I saw all his early movies more than once; I saw "Road House" so many times my friends started to hide when I called them, for fear they would have to see the movie yet again. I am so sad he is gone; he was truly a great actor and a fine, modest (and handsome) man.
You will be thoroughly missed by me. May God guide you through the trip you have in front of you. I would love to have met you in person but maybe I will meet you in heaven. You have always been one of my favorite stars. God bless and guide your family. See you up in heaven. I used to always watch the tv when you were on.
Mr. Widmark was more than a fine actor, he was a very kind man. May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace,Mr.Widmark.You gave the world many, many hours of pleasure and entertainment. You will be missed.
My favorite actor from way back ~ I remember watching him on the "late show" on TV back then ~ He always held his own with the wonderful actors and actresses of that era ~ Appreciated his work right on through the later things he did ~ Always seemed to be a classy person and I admired his low profile ~ Obviously his ego didn't need constant gratification ~ Think about that for a minute ~ They really, really don't make them like him anymore ~ Bless you Mr. Widmark ~ My condolences to your family
Thank you Mr widmark for being a part of my childhood, you will be missed. hollywood has lost another Icon, and they and us are the worser for it. We had missed you for years, now we will miss you forever.
SO SAD.........ALL THE GREAT ONES FROM A BYGONE ERA , WHEN THE "SHOW" WAS ....YES.... ONLY 10 CENTS FOR 12 AND UNDER.. TWO MOVIES ...CARTOONS...NEWSREELS....OH HOW I REMEMBER MOWING MY NEIGHBORS LAWN FOR 50 CENTS ON SATURDAY MORNING.....KNOWING I COULD TREAT A PAL OF MINE TO THE MOVIE AND MONEY LEFT OVER FOR POPCORN AND SODA. ALL AT THE "VICTORY THEATER" IN SALISBURY, NORTH CAROLINA. I'VE SEEN JUST ABOUT EVERY RICHARD WIDMARD FILM. HE WAS GOOD.
What a great actor, enjoyed all his work. Godspeed.
I send the family my prayers in this time and know that God makes no mistakes
When I was a young boy in the late 60's, early 70's, I use to love watching Richard in the westerns and war movies with my dad. A truly GREAT actor, and I'm sure a wonderful man. I'll always think fondly of him.
I remember when NBC had "Saturday Night at the Movies" back in the 60s. They must have had a deal with 20th Fox because they showed a preponderence of Widmark's films. I was just a kid but I thought he was great. Funny, I was wondering about him the other day and looked him up on Wikipedia. Another one is gone and the movies ain't what they used to be, i.e, entertaining.
I was in El Paso, Texas stationed at Ft. Bliss. When you starred in " Take The High Ground " My unit set up our pup tents for the movie. Then stayed inside while the film was shot.
We keep losing our "ACTORS" and have no way of replacing them. If you haven't watched Mr. Widmark, then go and rent one of his movies.
God rest his soul.
Mr. Widmark is a great actor and will be sadly missed by all. We are very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with the family.
You were one of the best. Sincere condolences to your family.
He was simply a great actor. There's not many of them still with us. Richard put everything into his acting, and from what I understand directors were quite pleased to work with him as he was a true professional and always willing to give more than 100 per cent into his work.
Mr. Widmark...thank you for your contributions and talent.
i was shocked to hear about richard widmark i will miss a wonderful person and a very fine actor
My deep condolence for the loss of Mr. Widmark I enjoy watching him many movies. The one Joy that the Bible give is the hope of seeing him again on a paradise earth. Under God's Knigdom that Jesus ask us to pray for at Matthew 6:9,10 there will no more sickness, pain ofr death. The earth will be coming a place for all to enjoy ture happinessand Mr. Widmark have that hope of living a again on the earth.
We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
I knew this day would come one day.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you on "I Love Lucy" when the Ricardos and the Mertzes went to Hollywood on the tour bus of movie star's homes. Lucy got one of your grapefruits and got caught..... You were one of Hollywood's best.
May you rest in peace.
Our deepest simpothy goes out to the Widmark family. He was a great actor and I truely enjoyed all of his movies. He was a great actor and a great man and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. God bless him.
I used to pretend sick so I could stay home from school to see your movies that were on in the morning.I was born dec. 26, as were you,in the year 1947.the year you did "kiss of death"I loved you sinceI was six years old.The world has lost a great actor and a special human being. You won't be forgotten. from a long time fan
I was sorry to hear of his passing, I have enjoyed his work for many years. I would like to express my sympathy to the family, may he rest in peace.
When I was dating my now ex-husband in the 70's, he told me about Kiss of Death..which I never saw. Whoa!..what an evil character to play. But I/we always knew you were a "gentle"man. May you rest in peace..thanks for all the entertainment..
GREAT ACTORS LIKE YOU ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.....YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR YOUR KIND ROLES AND GREAT CHARACTERS YOU BROUGHT TO THE SCREEN...A GENTLE MAN HAS FOUND A NEW ROLE IN HEAVEN.....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Richard, thanks for The Last Wagon, my first movie. Why you never won an oscar is a hollywood disgrace. Can't remember a role you weren't great in. Sincere sympathy to your family
I,M SURE MR WIDMARK WILL GET HIS OSCAR IN HEAVEN, HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL
DOMINICK MONTILEONE
I am 68 years old and will never forget his laugh in that scene where he pushed the old lady down the stairs.i can see his curled lips now! i must have been about 9 so you can see the impact it had on me.i REALLY enjoyed his work over the years and considered him a great actor. Condolences to his family.
Since I was a teenager I was in love with Richard. I even skipped school to watch his movies in the daytime. He's one of the last of that wonderful time of great movies.
I am saddened over Richard's death but I celebrate his long life. He was a wonderful actor. I loved him in any role that he played. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Wdmark's passing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you.
While you are mourning the loss of a loved one, others are rejoicing to meet them behind the veil.
Richard Widmark was the type of actor that truly made you believe that he was living in the specific moment in time of the movie. I have watched most, if not all, of the Western movies that he has done with John Wayne, James Stewart, and Lena Horne (Death of a Gunfighter). He is an American hero. His legend and star will continue to shine on the set and in the hearts of us all.
HE WAS SUCH A HANDSOME MAN, SUCH A GREAT ACTOR. MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY.
REST IN PEACE MR. WIDMARK.
An outstanding actor, one of the best talents that ever came out of Hollywood! R.I.P. Richard...
One of the greats! Rest in peace, dear one.
One of the greatest actors ever! Just loved every role he played.
Dear Richard,
May God grant you eternal rest and give comfort to your family. You have provided me with countless hours of film enjoyment. Your private life was exemplary and a rarity in the acting world.
What an "ACTOR". I have enjoyed seeing Richard Widmark in movies over the years. I'll never forget him in "The Last Wagon".
I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Richard Widmark!
I am saddened to hear the passing of a Legendary Actor. When I was a kid many of my Saturday Afternoons we're spent with Mr.Widmark at the Grand Theatre. Thank you!
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
