I have always been a big fan of Disney music. I am especially the Sherman brothers songs. They have become so much apart of so many people's lives We will always remember their songs. May Their memory live on through their music!!! It will always be a "A Small World After All"and a "A spoonful of sugar" will always help the job get done and the world will somehow be " A Wonderful World OF Color". May Jesus Christ richly bless you for these wonderful, wholesome memories of a much more innocent time period!!!!
Thank you all so much for these lovely messages about my late Dad. Truly moving. Jeff
You will be missed by so many people, too many you never knew but admired you and your brother greatly.
God bless your family and I hope you are in heaven.
i remember growing up with that song and i still use that word today a 41
I remember riding the school bus (Manlius, NY) and trying so hard to memorize supercalifragilisticexpealodocious! And I did--don't know if I spelled it correctly tho'!
I remember singing Mary Poppins songs for a 4th grade talent show! Those were good times. I am sorry to hear that the man responsible for those good times are gone. I pray that the Sherman family has comfort from the God of all comforts, during this difficult time
May it comfort you to know that God is with you during this difficult time and
that there are friends that also share your sorrow and your pain. I find Psalm 121 to be a very encouraging scriptural passage. May it help you to cope and endure.
One of my most cherished childhood memories is of my dad, mom, sister and I all going to the movies to see Mary Poppins. The music was wonderful and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious became a household word. Mr. Sherman will be missed, but the songs he and his brother wrote will live on forever.
Thank you for making my childhood memories ones that I still relish today as an adult. Whenever adult life and reality become to much, I can still escape into happier times and memories through you and your creations. For that I am eternally grateful.
My deepest condolences to the Sherman family. I have thoroughly enjoyed Robert's work and it will always be remembered. "May the God who gives peace be with you all." Romans 15:33
My condolences to the family of Mr. Sherman. Some of my all time favorite movies. I am almost 50 and watch them over and over and sing a long.
Last year, I sadly twice narrowly missed the chance of seeing Mr. Sherman in person at a D23 event. But I have seen and enjoyed the video footage of one of those events….and much more importantly, I will remember his music. It's part of my life forever. Thanks very much Mr. Sherman.
To the the family of Robert Sherman - May God give you peace and comfort through his word and the Lord Jesus Christ during this time of sorrow, I know that he will be missed by many.
This is a sad loss. The talents of Robert and Richard Sherman have enriched all of us, and I can not imagine a world without so much of their incredible music and lyrics. They were blessed, but so were we all.
I still sing "I'm King of the Jungle the Jungle V.I.P."
Condolences to Mr. Sherman's family. I listen to all of his compositions, the best of the best music written.
Most of my favorite childhood memories are of singing so many of Mr. Sherman's songs with my parents and brothers. They are so joyful and fun. I can't begin to tell you how much his songs mean to me! Thank you, Mr. Sherman, God bless.
Jungle Book and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are two of my favorites. I love the music in those movies. Now I see how to spell supercalifragilisticexpealidocious. So many memorable tunes that bring a smile to your face while singing. My condolences to Mr. Sherman's family. May you have solace in prayer at this time of bereavement. Psalms 66:19
I was just thinking about supercalif..........today as a matter of fact. I wish I would have known who he was hen he was alive so I could have thanked him then. For all of the wonderful music and childhood memories. And yes I can still say supercalif...backwards!

Thank you for all the great memories. You made the world a happier place. I will be singing your songs till the day I die.
Walt Disney's genius for finding talent and then providing a forum to develop and display that talent is clear when he recruited the Sherman brothers. Thanks for all of the beautiful and memorable songs that recall the raw joy of youth.
We will always sing your songs, and play your music, thank you for all you have given to use ,a lifetime of memories
How grateful I am for the legacy of enjoyable music you have left us. As we reared our children we sang your songs, and they contributed to so many happy family times. We deeply appreciate you and your brother and thank you for creating and sharing them with us.

Beautiful man, beautiful music from such a heartwarming gentleman. "The Happiest Millionaire" was seen by my family at Radio City Music Hall in New York and to this day is our favorite musical. Their songs are included and I know each song to this day. What a wonderful "Star". He will surely be missed by all who loved their music. Arrivederci, Mr. Sherman.

I love all of Mr. Sherman's songs. I know all the words to all of them. My mom took me to every movie as a child and I still watch them now every time they're aired. He was a wonderfully talented man. God bless him and his family.
David and I always enjoyed the Tongue Twisters in stride.
May God bless your family at this time of sorrow. Sorry for your loss.
Bob always knew how to get a thought on paper. His talent will be missed, bit I know for sure he taught many the art of the pen.
It's the unheard of and quiet people that bring the most joy to the rest of us. Not the stars, not the celebrities, but the Robert Shermans.
RIP Mr Sherman. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world and for making it a happier place. Condolences to his family.
May you find comfort in God's word, the Bible at James 4:8 which encourages us to "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you."
Thank you, Robert Sherman.
I so enjoyed that music, especially Bedknobs and Broomsticks. That came out when I was 3 and I STILL remember the lyrics to the songs such as Portabello Road. Please accept my condolences.
May Robert Sherman rest in peace as he has made so many happy with all his wonderful melodies, especially "its a small world", my favorite.
Consolences to the family of Robert Sherman...I watched a special on the Sherman brothers...they were very talented and their memory will go on in their songs...
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
"I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. The Winnie the Pooh songs are some of mine & my children's most loved music. I recently watched the Sherman brothers documentary, and was very touched by their story. Especially, the part about the love between your parents. Just know that he is back with your beloved mother now!". My sincere regrets.
Wonder and innocence was what Robert was all about and wrote about. He will be sadly missed for his wonderful songs throughout the years.

To Mr. Sherman's loving family,
My greatest condolences on your loss. He joins his beloved wife and may they be eternally together now. One of the soldiers who liberated Auschwitz and saw its horror, yet he was able to spread joy and love that lasts forever in our hearts and in the hearts of many generations to come. May his blessed memory live on for all of you as his work will for all of us.
May you find some comfort in all our wishes for you,
These are the songs of my childhood. Thank you for the music and wonderful memories.
To the Sherman Family,
May God comfort you during this time of loss. Let it be known that he and his brother made beautiful music for many, many generations to enjoy. What a treasure. He will make a wonderful addition to God's entertainment group in leading them with his wonderful music. Rest in Peace, Mr. Sherman.
I was just a little girl when the Mary Poppins movie came out. I loved every single song in the movie and would endlessly sing them all. When my own sons were young and after stories were read at bedtime, I sang lullabies to get them to sleep. Two of their favorites were "Feed the Birds" and Let's Go Fly a Kite". I am forever grateful for the incredible gift of Robert (and Richard) Sherman's talent and simplicity of lyrics. Prayers to his family and all who will miss him.
There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, Shining At The End Of Every Day.
The world is a happier place because of your wonderful music.

It's a Small World is my all-time favorite song...may you rest in peace and may your family find comfort.
Walt Disney's own favorite song written by the Sherman brothers was "Feed the Birds," from Mary Poppins. There was always magic and heart in their best work, which has stood the test of time.
