I held a tire for Bob at POlks tire shop on Western Ave while he took a hot soldering iron and grooved his first dirt track tire,I had a black and white checkered ball hat and at every race track he would see me sneaking though the pits and tell me the pit steward was looking the kid in the checkered hat so i better sell it to him to keep me from getting thrown out of the track and Joyce would look great wearing it. I never sold it but Newt. if i run across that hat i will be sure Joyce gets that neat neat cap .Rest in peace and Thanks for being just great guy to have as a friend.
