To all of ronald's family I pay my respects. I have only met him a few times but he was a nice man and I hung out with his brother blake for years we were great friends. And I now regret joining the navy and being thousands of miles away because you never get to tell the ones that leave goodbye. With love to the family and respect to all 29 fallen heroes..... God bless you all I worked in the mines for almost 2 years and now I'm in the navy out to sea for 9 months id do anything to be back in the mines regardless of how dangerous it is. Too all miners back home I don't care what anyone says you are the true heroes not us but you. God bless the miners !!!

I am so beyond words to express my heartache of this tragedy. As a coal miners daughter my entire life when something happens to a miner it impacts us all. Miners are brothers regardless if they know one another or not and a coal miners family stands behind and with all those in times of need. I wish the family strength to be able to cope and deal with the loss your family has suffered.
