For Roy...

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

We saw this thing come to Orlando in the latter 1960's and it turned the entire world of Central Florida around.....
Little did we know what a hugh impact this would have on our lives. Itwas great to go out there and have dinner or just brouse the shopping areas. Our annual passes were used quite a bit... The Disney family was quite a hit. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ever so much... May God Bless you all''.....

It's sad to know that Roy has left this world. He was very loyal to his Uncle Walt and did a wonderful job to keep the Disney family legacy going respectfully. Whoever follows in his shoes, please show the same respect to Disney as Roy showed. Keep making the same difference for the Disney family and stay loyal to them. They have touch the hearts of many children and adults for a long time. My condolences to the family.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Roy Disney. Born into a family of unbelievable creative and financial genius, Roy too did many things, fought many battles to keep his family's name as the best of quality in film, television and theme parks. He could have just ridden on the coat tails of his father and Uncle (Walt), instead took a vested and very active interest in this precious company. Roy was very keen to know when things were not working as planned (such as Eisner, the Disneyworld in Florida desperately needing work) and fought to get him out and someone else in. May he rest in peace in the rainbow lit Heavens above. He is with his Uncle Walt - a man far ahead of his time in fantasy, films, special effects, story - everything. Through all the technology, Roy tried to hang onto something Walt always strove for: to have technology and the "old way of things" blend in a seamless beautiful tapestry. His last name is legendary throughout the world and he did so many wonderful things to keep the spirit of Walt Disney alive. He definitely has earned his wings. Rest in Peace Roy, you deserve it.
December 30, 2009
A true American, Thank you Mr. Disney.
December 30, 2009
To Roy's family: It was with great sadness to read about your loss. Roy added so much to Disney in his lifetime. May God bless you all.

Our Deepest Sympathy,

My earliest memories are of my Mother taking me and my brothers to Disneyland in California where we lived at the time. It was so beautiful, clean, and magical. My Father was a jungle boat driver and we rode with him regularly. My father truly loved the Disney family and the Disney brand, everything it stood for through the years. My children have enjoyed the Disney movies and stories, and I pray that your family gets some comfort from the joy that your family has given to so many throughout the years. God Bless you all.

I imagine he is cruising the seas of heaven with his dad Roy Sr, Uncle Walt and Frank Wells for I am sure they have much to discuss. I am sure he would have been proud to see the results of the current old style animation film in the boxoffice. God Bless him and keep him by his side. WFC

Thank You Walt Disney Co for years of entertainment & I look forward to many more years. My condolences go out to Roy Disney's family.
December 19, 2009
To the Disney Family:

There probably isn't a family alive who hasn't been touched by the great Disney dynasty. Mr. Roy fought diligently to maintain the standard that his uncle and father set years ago, and this has proved successful in Disney being a household word.

May you be comforted in knowing that according to Acts 24:15, there will be a resurrection. Mr. Roy is now resting in God's memory with the wonderful hope of being among those called from the memorial tombs to life on a righteous, peaceful earth. Mr. Roy lived his life fulfilling his dreams, and Psalm 145:16 assures us that God is "Opening His hand and satisfying the desire of every living thing." There's no doubt that Roy will continue to bring joy to the lives of many.

Please remain confident that these bible-based promises will be satisfied under God's Kingdom arrangement.

Sincerely,
December 19, 2009
Please allow me to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Disney family for the recent loss of your love one. Though this is a time of sorrow, may joyful memories bring you all comfort and rely on God to give you the strength to endure.
December 19, 2009
The Disney family has brought many years of fun and joy to people of all ages. My heart goes out to you all at this most difficult time. May it comfort you to know that God cares deeply for all those we have lost. He promises a resurrection of all those in the memorial tombs at John 5:28. His words bring us comfort and give us hope. Please accept my sincere condolences.
December 19, 2009
Disney Family,

I loved Disney, going to the theme parks and watching. I'v had the pleasure of going to both Disney Land and Disney world, what fun. May these words from God give you a measure of comfort.
All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

My Sincere Condolences

I've enjoy Disney for a very long time. This loss is indeed heartbreaking. We take comfort in knowing that soon death will be a thing of the past. The book of Revelation 21:3,4 guarantees it!! Continue to hang in there.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

The Disney Family has brought alot of happiness to me and my family for over 20 years.Every time we would go to Walt Disney World, Roy was just the nicest guy I ever met. It did'nt matter how much money we spent because you can't put a price on this kind of happiness.Walt Disney World is worth every penny we spent and will continue to spend in the future. We met Roy 1 time and spent most of the day walking the park with him. Roy was a "Down to Earth" kinda guy and he listened to alot of things we had to say about the parks. It was a really good time, walking with Roy. Roy will always have a Special Place in our Hearts and he will be missed. I'm sure the next time we go to the park, there will be tears for him. We love you and miss you already.

I worked for the Disney Store for 12 years :>) My daughter and I always took our vacation to Disney World. My heart is filled with sadness that we have lost another member of our Disney family. If you have been a part of the Disney family you know Roy loved everything his Uncle Walt and Dad Roy started. As Walt would say Welcome to this Happy!!!! Mickey will cry for us all in our loss of Roy.

I made my first trip to Disney World in 1989 on my Honeymoon. MY family has been going to Disney at least 3 to 4 times a Year. We live in Bristol, Connnecticut. We were just there in Sept. and just returned on Dec. 13th from a trip there for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It is truly our favorite place to be. Your family has made my family happy for better that 20 years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family and friends at this difficult time. My God be with all of you.

I think it is a very sad day to see the end to a True Disney era. I feel Roy embraced Walt's Vision, and kept true to what Disney stood For. Not only did he do what he could to keep Disney in the position it is in today, but he also donated to many worthy causes.

My kids and I have always been huge Disney fans. In fact, I was one of the members of Roy's "Save Disney" campaign and proudly had the "Goodbye Michael" bumper sticker on my car. I am glad that Roy was determined to maintain the Disney legacy the way Walt would have wanted it. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Disney family. We were blessed to have spent our childhood growing up "Disney" during our dad's ten yrs with WDW. Of all our family memories, those years hold the most joy and happiness for us. It was an honor and a priviledge to have been a part of the Disney dream and legacy.
December 16, 2009
I offer my sincere condolonces to the Disney family. When death strikes and takes the life of our loved one's many cry out with great sorrow. Your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of life. Never was it his purpose for our human lives to be taken away. Although your deep pain, will not easily disappear, prayer to God will bring comfort as you grieve. The Bible assures us God is healin the broken hearted one's and is binding up their painful spots. (Psalm 147:3)

I am so saddened by Roy's passing. I was hoping to meet him some day. My mom used to play with him when she was a little girl, now she is in a nursing home in a small town in KS. She has dimentia among several other problems and she started talking about Roy the other day like he was there. I was just about to see if I could find a way to contact him and see if by some chance he would call her, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Walt Disney wanted to adopt her, but she was paired with another couple. I'm sure that Walt and Roy's legacy will continue. The world would sure be boring without the Disney's.
December 16, 2009
I always have known the disney name to bring warmth, fun,a cozy comfort feeling because it was always "good" if disney was behind it.
i hope roy is feeling all the same and for the faimily also in this sad time.
Thank you for all your efforts in life for the disney name and reputation.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I am devastated by Roy's passing. He will forever be remembered as a torchbearer to Walt. In the words of John F. Kennedy "The torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans". The torch will be passed to future generations of Disney fans and that is Roy's greatest legacy. Timeless classics such as the Lion King and the Little Mermaid will remain to be treasured thanks to Roy and others. I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to those family members he left behind.
