October 19, 2013
I can't imagine a better wife for Billy Graham. She kept him grounded, raised his 5 children, provided a loving home for her family and him, wrote books and poetry, and had a spunky sense of humor. Both Ruth and Billy are gifts from God to a hurting world, and will never be forgotten. I love you both. Thank you so much for the joy and inspiration.

You are a beautiful angel.

You will be missed.
July 30, 2012
I am so touched by her life story. Her life was so real, so dedicated, so meaningful and so loving. I believe because of her wisdom and positive influnce to her husband, Billy Graham, to light the world for Jesus like no one has ever done by pulling down barriors and uniting people. I love the strength to be a Loving but strong Mother taking care of the home so her husband could make a difference. And by the way, her name is so special and from the Bible - her Missionary parents must of felt her calling by giving her this powerful name!
July 26, 2012
What a beautiful, and glowing face Ruth Graham has in her memorial photograph, the outward burst from her heart filled with our Lord & Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! May she continue to bless her beloved husband, Billy, as he remembers her devotion and love for him and their children. May we all recall and follow her footsteps in the way of the Lord!

July 20, 2007
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
July 19, 2007
Ruth was someone I felt I knew , even though I had never met her. It was at one of Bill's crusades in Asheville, NC (back in the 60's),that I accepted Christ. I thank Ruth for allowing her husband to be available to preach the gospel. I know that there were times when she must have felt alone, but God gave her the grace to carry on in spite of her husband's absences. What a legacy!
Sincerely, Cheryl

Billy,
God bless you as you grieve. We grieve with you, but also rejoice that Ruth has found the eternal purpose for which God created her. She is greatly missed, but is resting with the saints. What a glorius thought to know that she is celebrating eternity with my many family members who reside with Christ in heaven. Thank you, both for sharing your lives with us all.
July 14, 2007
THE WORLD WAS A MUCH BETTER PLACE BECAUSE OF RUTH. NOW HEAVEN IS EVEN MORE BLESSED WITH HER WONDERFUL PRESENCE. WE SHALL ALL, THAT ARE CHRISTIANS, MEET HER SOMEDAY IN THE SWEET BYE AND BYE. IN HIS NAME, OUR PRAYERS TO ALL THE FAMILY. BARBARA GOODSON
July 12, 2007
Dear Billy Graham and family, I am saddened to hear of the loss of Ruth who was such a remarkable woman; one who exemplied a true Christian woman's attire - she wore it so well and graciously. She was so unselfish in giving up some of her dreams to make room for her husband's calling, which she supported with all her heart enveloped in love. And to Billy Graham, I would like to say, "thank you for submitting to God's calling in your life and for all the unselfish extra hours you put in to the reach so many lost souls. Perhaps T.V. was invented specifically with you in mind, so you could come into our homes and reach those from all corners of the earth!" God bless....
July 12, 2007
Thank you for living, giving us healing laughter from time to time, and for sharing you husband with the World.
July 11, 2007
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
July 11, 2007
You are a beloved woman of God in the hearts of all of us who have seen your life through your husband's very public calling but have cherished your godly example through our own private lens.
July 11, 2007
Rev Graham, God Bless you, I know he has you in his loving arms.
July 11, 2007
I hope you meet my grandmother there. You would be great friends.
July 11, 2007
Thank you for being an inspiration to me by the godly life you lived.
July 11, 2007
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

What a remarkable woman.
July 02, 2007
Ruth Grham's beautiful book of poetry about her life with Billy is so precious.I read it with tears and gratitude. Had she not been the incredible woman of God that she was, Billy's work might have been much less. She has been such a wonderful living example to all women. She truly loved and lived her life fully commited to further the cause of Christ. I am so thankful to have lived at a time I could be blessed by the selfless sacrafice both Ruth and Billy provided. My husband and I were both save at His Crusade in San Diego in the 1960's. Praise God!
July 02, 2007
A new angel reigns in heaven! No more suffering, no more pain, because Ruth is called home to reign. My prayers are with her entire family, their loss is so great, but her gain is undescribeable!

July 01, 2007
Dear Reverend Billy Graham and Family: I know that no words can relieve the pain you are going through because of the death of such a wonderful woman as Ruth. The two of you are such a find example of what marriage should be. I first heard you when I was 18 years old and pregnant with my first child. I have never had anything touch me like you did that night at the old Atlanta Cracker Baseball Field in Atlanta, Georgia.

I just lost the son that I was pregnant with when I went to hear you that night in Atlanta, Ga. I know how much you miss Ruth because I cannot get my son out of my mind. The only thing that helps us at a time like this is to know that they have gone to a better place and someday we will join them. Bless you all. Peggy Brown (Snellville, Georgia)
July 01, 2007
My parents had the privilege of being in the home where Billy Graham roomed while a student at Wheaton College shortly before his marriage to Ruth. They shared with me precious memories of that time together before his ministry began. May the Lord comfort all of this wonderful family!

My husband went forward at a Billy Graham Crusade in L.A. in 1972 and gave his life to the Lord. His neighbors had invited him and he said it took 5 nights before he finally went forward and surrendered to the Lord. Thanks for your great ministry and God Bless You as you mourn the loss of your beloved wife and mother.

My husband and I have been with this family for almost all of our life. We have grown up with you and your family. That's the way we feel....like part of our family has gone Home to be with the Lord. Heaven is getting closer every minute. May God continue to bless you and keep you close. Just to breathe the name of Jesus...this is the only thing to give you that peace He tells of...the One that passeth all understanding.

I came to know the Lord after hearing Billy Graham preach on TV at a crusade while I was a college student in the early 1970's.
Since then, our family has all come to know the Lord, and now, our grandchildren are being reared in the faith! What a wonderful saviour we serve.
God bless your entire family until the Lord brings you together again in His Kingdom! I know you will miss your Mom, but she's is with our most loving, compassionate savior in heaven, a MUCH better place.
Blessings to you all.

My sincere expression of Love to all of the Graham Family. Your Mother & Rev.Graham,in my opinion, have presented God's mission to the world, for all of my life. I have listened or watched Rev. Graham's messages, anytime that I knew they were on,(as my Mom & Dad did) for many years. Without a doubt, Billy was given gifts from God,& his wife Ruth was part of his spiritual gift. I always felt God's spirit in every single Rev.Billy Graham's Message & know that God is with you All now. Thank You all for letting God lead you, as you have & can, to help this world be a more loving, peaceful, Christian world. In God I Trust! Blessings!

No Longer Homesick

Just a note to say,
I'm living and not among the dead,
Though I'm up in Heaven living with the others that went ahead.
I'm no longer homesick for I'm home to stay
With family and friends and loved ones--
It's meant to be this way.
So remember, I do love you, and wish you all were here,
But I know in the morning, I'll get to see you my dears.

Dear Family...

I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh,so happy and so bright!
There is a perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, Ever restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! But Jesus love illumined, Every dark and fearful glade.
And he came Himself to meet me in the way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray and trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand;
Do it while life remaineth You shall rest in Jesus' land,
When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home;

I ONCE READ THAT RUTH WISHED TO BE
BURIED ON THE GROUNDS WHERE SHE HAD
RAISED HER CHILDREN,PERHAPS WISHING TO BE ALONE AT LAST BESIDE HER BELOVED BILL.
YET,SHE CHOSE TO SEEK GOD'S PLAN
AND WAS LAID TO REST WHERE THE WORLD
COULD PASS BY AND HOPEFULLY BE
REMINDED OF THE BEAUTY OF A DEDICATED LIFE TO CHRIST.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE SHE HAS
SET FOR ALL OF US.
THANK YOU RUTH.

June 19, 2007

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

May God Bless And Comfort You
By: Charles G. Turner, Sr.

At times like this when we don’t know what to do
Just talk to God and he will see you through
When words sometimes just won’t do and you don’t know what to say
Just talk to God and let him have his way

When friends and family come and go
Just remember that God has an open door
At times like this when words alone won’t do
May God bless and comfort you

June 19, 2007
To Rev. Graham,
In your life you traveled to many places and seen many things. Maybe occasionally on a return trip you had the opportunity to take Ruth to a show her the sites. This time Ruth got to go first, that she may show you around when you eventually arrive. God in His mercy has released her from pain and weakness to glorify her with a new body and home. God owes you nothing but the world owes you much. God bless you and the fruit of your labors, also to the entire Graham family and ministry team.

Dear Dr Graham and family, Thank you for your wonderful life and witness..There are many famous people, christian and non, but yours and Ruth's is a "salt and Light" witness that has helped countless people to see what lives committed to Jesus can produce. Thank you for not being pretentious, hiding problems but sharing with us, showing us your humanity and humility. I was a young student in faraway Malaysia when I first read Decision magazine and heard Billy preach and loved Ruth's messages and poems. God has blessed you with each other , long lives and you have used it to exalt His Name and not yourselves. Ruth's life, example writings, and beautiful poetry has blessed me and people all over the world. But the most remarkable thing is to see how you have not let fame and celebrity get to your head, but have kept humble and down to earth. As the children continue Ruth's talent of writing prose and poem, her legacy and memory will live on.At this sorrowful time of parting, you affirm for us your deep and abiding faith . We are inspired by your genuine faith in the resurrection that allows you to find great hope and comfort in the God whom you have preached and served your whole life. In death as in life, Ruth has been a great example and inspiration to me .
With my admiration , prayers condolences ,and thanks
Love in Christ,

I pray you all know God's love, comfort, and guidance at this time just following the death of your beloved Ruth Graham and in the adjusting days ahead. I am sure remembering the happy times with her, continuing to experience her influence in your lives, and realizing more and more what a blessing she has been to so many are indeed proving to be treasures in your hearts. Ruth Graham's love and devotion to her family is a wonderful example for other Christian wives. She honored her marriage vows as she knew God, her Heavenly Father, would expect her to. She has been rewarded with a faithful husband and loving family. I had an unusual spiritual experience some years ago, in which the Holy Spirit led me to study the New Testament and be a follower of Billy Graham. Billy will miss his dear wife, Ruth.
June 18, 2007

To The Graham Family,
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints Psalms 116: 15. My prayers are with you and your family. I know the pain of standing by and watching a loved one pass. But I also know the Joy unspeakable that God gives at that very moment to allow us to carry on with the task at hand. What a comfort to know that when our loved ones who are in Christ Jesus leave us they go to a much better place and are in the very presence of God Almighty. Mrs. Ruth is now alive, more alive then we are and she is alive for evermore. May God continue to substain you during the days and months to come. And remeber when we all do get to heaven what a great day that will be to rejoice and praise our Lord forever.

In His Love,

Dear Graham Family, When I looked at the pictures, all I could think was... "What a beautiful smile!" Mrs. Graham obviously shone brightly with her love of the Lord, and her family. May God the Father give you all comfort, strength and great peace in this time of loss. It is a wonderful thing to know that we will see our loved ones again, but we still feel the grief of not having them near. You remain in our prayers.

Rev. Billy Graham and family,
May God's love and peace be with each of you at this home-going of wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and friend to multitudes.
She has run a good race and finished her course and now she is rewarded for her faithfulness to her Savior and Lord.
I would have loved to have sat down and listened to her tell of her life. I'm sure it was an awesome one!
I just bought and sent my sister one of her books she wrote.
My husband and I have always follwed your preaching, Billy and been to your crusades when they were in Charlotte.
Each of you are truly serving the Lord and He will bless you for it.

Seeing all the different names and states they represent signing the Guest Book, is an honor to a great lady and christian.

God bless all of you. You are in our hearts and prayers.

June 17, 2007
Ruth Bell Graham was a treasure in many ways, especially in her love and devotion to God. Just reading her books and poems made one feel a bit closer to Him-through her own very personal relationship with Him. Her transparency enabled others to connect to her as a soul mate and best friend, and it gave hope of overcoming difficulties, as she herself had. I am blessed for having known this wonderful lady, even if it was through the medium of her writing. And the world is a better place because of the integrity that Ruth and Billy Graham held throughout their many years of ministry.
June 17, 2007
May God bless the Graham family and may we all meet in Heaven.

Mrs. Graham was an inspiration to the institution of marriage and to young Christian people everywhere. I always enjoyed reading her articles. Peace to her memory.
June 17, 2007
Though a part-time resident of Montreat-on Mississippi Road, no less-for all my 54 years, I never had the honor of meeting Ruth Graham. But after attending the funeral yesterday, I know just how much joy I missed! Even in death, Mrs. Graham brought much inspiration to me. The way the funeral was handled, the letter to Montreaters begging patience and forgiveness for the upheaval in their normal lives on Saturday...all gave me an insight into the humility and consideration of your family. The stories shared at the funeral made me know that Ruth Graham was more than just "the woman behind the great man"-she was at least 50% of the greatness that Reverend Graham was able to bring to his ministry. I am humbled by her example, and I am encouraged to be a better Christian. And I never even met her. Thank you for allowing me and the rest of the world to share in her funeral.
June 17, 2007

It is so amazing how just one life can make a difference in so many lives and linking them together. As I read the other entries, Ruth Graham, no doubt, was an amazing woman who walked on this planet and was hand picked to be by Mr. Graham's side in his ministry. God Bless you all and your family during this time. My prayers go out to the whole family.

June 17, 2007

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

May God give Rev Graham the peace and comfort he needs during this difficult time. God bless you both for answering the call of the great commission
June 17, 2007
To the Graham Family, may God be with you, and give you peace that passes all understanding, in this time of your loss. Ruth was a missionary to the world, in her own right, and because she supported Rev. Billy, so he could travel the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, she was a part of God's plan, that I became a Born Again Christian at the tender age of 14, in 1971, through one of the Billy Graham Crusades, on TV. I also was blessed, 29 yrs. later, to be a counselor in the Jacksonville, FL. Crusade, in the year of 2000. I never got to meet Ruth, at that time, as she was ill and unable to attend that crusade. I thank Rev. Billy, and Ruth for their faithfulness to the Lord, and now Rev. Franklin will carry on his parents most blessed and committed legacy. Ruth, has now, beheld Jesus, face-to-face, in all of His Glory. Someday, eagerly, I will get to meet her, in Heaven. If we, all, would have the love and commitment to our Lord, as Billy and Ruth always have, our world would be a much better place to live in. Love, and God Bless you all.
June 17, 2007
An icon has passed. A sweet, enduring spirit. One of the finest women of our time. One of my goals in life was to meet Billy Graham and MS. Ruth before I died. This will not happen in this life, at least with Ms. Ruth. I pray for Reverend Billy Graham in the loss of his closest partner in life. Heaven has a brilliant flower for Gods Garden.

June 17, 2007
To Rev. Graham, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and Mrs. Graham's precious sister, I just want to say that you all are and have been in my thoughts now for many days. The Memorial Service yesterday was so very precious and sacred and it touched my heart so much. The public is so blessed that you all chose to share the service via television so we could 'be there'. Having my own Mother go to Heaven in 1989 I know the loss you feel and for sure your lives are changed forever, but know that as you all have said so many times, God will grant you strength as only HE can during times like these. Knowing both our Mamas are in Heaven with Jesus means the world!

I remember growing up in the 50's and all the family would stop and would gather around the T.V. when Billy Graham came on. I grew up to admire Mrs. Graham for all the love and support she had for her husband and for all the courage it took raising her children while her husband was away doing the Lord's work. She was a remarkable woman and I know all of heaven rejoiced greeting her especially my parents! You will be missed .. your family will be in our prayers.

June 17, 2007
Graham Family: The Graham family has been a part of my growing up years in St. Paul, MN. I remember the times that we went to Youth for Christ in Minneapolis and could just walk up to Mr. Graham and shake his hand and talk to him. I did not have the privilege of meeting Ruth but have read her writings and as a pastor's wife understand the times when we stand by and be supportive and pray as the ministry goes on.
God bless you all and thank you for allowing the world to be a part of your family and being honest and straight forward about life in the Graham household. You had a wonderful wife and Mom and she will always be remembered with great respect and honor.
In sympathy,
Rev. Wes and Eunice Sundberg

June 17, 2007
Having grown up in Montreat, my mother working for the Billy Graham office there for years and then myself working there as well, she was truely as wonderful as she she seemed when there were no camera's around. She quietly did so many things for me; she threw me my high school graduation party, she quietly paid off my College tuition one year, and she was my second mother. Having been around her at their house and seeing her in her down time over so many years, I never once saw anything other than a loving and motherly person who would sit with you and talk of life, family, and the love of Jesus. Once when I cut my finger (not bad) up at the house, she took me in the kitchen and helped me clean my finger. Knowing that Mr. Graham was going to pull up at any moment after some weeks out of town, I told her I was fine as Mr. G. was going to be home any minute. She looked at me and said "Bill will be fine, lets take care of your finger". Thats the kind of person she was. There are countless stories one could tell. There was no dirt to uncover, there are no horror stories about the Graham's, they loved you when you were with them, even when no camera's were around. Once when I was trying to save 12 eggs from our 3 chickens to take to my mother in Charlotte to make her fresh scrambled eggs, she had secretly hard boiled them all and we had such a suprise when I tried to crack them all at my mothers home for scrambled eggs. She was that kind of fun as well. Mrs Ruth Bell Graham was the greatest Christian I have ever known. Please don't forget Mr. Graham in your prayers.
June 17, 2007
Thank God for the fine Christian example Ruth Graham has lived. May her memory live on in each of us.
June 17, 2007

June 17, 2007
I'm so sorry for your loss, but you know she's in a much better place. I know you can find comfort in that.
June 17, 2007
I know that your family will miss a wonderful wife and mother, but will rejoice again one day when you all will be together with the Lord. I know that heaven had an awesome celebration on Thursday when your precious mother arrived on the scene. What a glorious day that must have been. There is no more aches and pains and she is now new once again. Praise God! I have always admired the Graham family and respect them dearly. I have just finished Franklin's book, "Rebel With a Cause", and learned alot about his mother. Franklin was a rebel and tested his mother quite a few times, but she always came out on top. Like the time she caught him smoking with the construction worker's as a child. She set him and the worker's straight, but in a loving Christian way. She was a Holy woman and sounded like a wonderful wife and mother. A true hero to many people here and abroad. She has now been awarded with many crowns in heaven because of her work and faith to the Lord, and is now at peace as never before. I also admire you and the work you have done also Dr. Graham. You and Ms. Ruth had something alot of couples only dream of. Almost 64 years of marriage and sharing your love for the Lord Jesus Christ throughout all those years. I admire you both. May God bless you all until you can meet your wife and mother again. You all are in my prayers.
P.S. Don't forget Franklin......Mom is still looking down on you! :-)

She left this world a better place because of her sweet spirit, and though the world is a sadder place now, there is rejoicing in heaven because another saint has come home.
June 17, 2007

June 16, 2007

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Graham Family,
My own Mother just died last month, a year older than yours. She too walked with Christ. We will never forget her or you or your Father, but most of all, who Ruth Graham served with the most love and humility I've ever personally known of or seen, that being of course Jesus Christ. Thank you for the sacrifices you have had to make all of your lives, but know how these same sacrifices have furthered the Gospel. We love you all.

It is written..."when someone you love becomes a memory...the memory becomes a treasure"...Many years ago when my marriage of 25 yrs. had ended I read a book written by Ruth Graham...Ruth said " when Billy was gone for long periods of time, she missed him so much that she would sleep with his suit jacket"...So needless to say I tried it, and it worked...This got me through a difficult time in my life, along with many, many prayers...Ruth's work on earth has ended...not really, because who she was lives on and remains alive in all those who were blessed to have met her, mine was thru a book! Everyone else will treasure her in their own way...In closing I'd like to add a final truth," behind every great man there's a greater woman"!!! Sincerely, your friend in Christ Jesus...

A Father's Prayer for His Children

With love and affection, I leave my blessings
on my children, in this form
I pray my Lord that He shall watch over them and theirs as
He watched over me and mine so long as
they live on this earth.
And when it comes time for them to depart this earth,
that the Lord will permit me to stand on the
Golden Steps Of Eternity and welcome them Home
is my prayer. Amen

I grew up spending summers at my grandparents home in Montreat (Texas Road)and have never forgotten the time Franklin drove his electric mini-scooter in one door and out the other of their basement. My grandfather caught him as he exited, politely asked him not to do it again and told him to go home and tell his mother what monkey business he was up to!

Ruth Graham sent Franklin back with a handwritten note, thanking my grandfather for caring enough to reprimand Franklin for his misdeed. Her note had a little humor, a little grace and the hand of a mother who wanted her son to know that misdeeds had consequences. She made him park his mini-scooter in our driveway for a week and then he had to come back and ask my grandfather if he was forgiven. Of course, he was and off he rode to drive another unsuspecting Montreat neighbor crazy! Luckily for Franklin, he had and has parents who sent him on the path that led him to where he is today. Mizpah to the Graham family.

Dear Rev. Graham and Family,
My husband, Edward and I send our heart felt sympathy to you and your family.

I must say, that, when you came to Houston, Tx., in the latter 60's and I was there for your crusade at the Houston AstroDome, I had the privlege to be one of the many counselor's for that event. My life changed and through the years following your ministry and Mrs. Graham's I am truly thankful.

I came yesterday to the Library, it is truly a spiritual place and certainly will be a place of rest and comfort.

God Bless You Ruth Graham. You will be missed.
June 16, 2007

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I have lost my hero but only for a short time. Ruth is in Jesus' arms right now and how the angels must be rejoicing. It will be one glorious day when I see her face to face and we all will be praising our Lord and Saviour.

To Rev. Billy and all the family, I have prayed for you every day for over 15 years. I promise you - I won't stop now. If only I could squeeze a "cousin" part in the family. I love all of you and know God is comforting you right this minute. We are going to miss this beautiful woman of God but we know - no more pain now and we will be seeing her in our due time.

God be with each of you and I will continue to visit the Library and "Ruth's Attic" so I can feel closer to her. There are not enough words to express the greatness of this beautiful, godly woman.

I love the Graham family and you will continue to remain in my heart and prayers.

In Christian Love,

The word to describe Ruth Graham is lovely...in face, and mind and heart. She will be deeply missed by those of us who were inspired by the words she wrote; down to earth words of wisdom and humor. Most of all I am inspired by the love and devotion she gave to her husband, children and grandchildren...My prayers are with you.
June 15, 2007
What a beautiful, beautiful soul
who became ever more beautiful even as she aged;
an exemplary role model, especially for, but not limited to, women;
any who might think it impossible to be Christ-like as He commanded, need only look to her life.
June 15, 2007
To the Graham family: My deepest
sympathy. May God sustain you today,
tomorrow and in the days to come.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Ruth Graham was a wonderful example to all in what it Biblically looked like to love, serve and be a helpmate to her husband and family through ministry. She will always be remembered as a lady of authentic Christian faith that Jesus desires for each of us to live out of. She also faithfully represented being a spirit filled, joyful servant to those that the Lord brought across her path. This was a lady who modeled what it mean't to wash peoples feet in ministry just by loving and accepting them right where they are in life. Her transparency proved that Jesus was truly the person of life and love to her as she so beautifully illustrated in life. Thank you, Ruth, for your obedience to love others and for your transparency in ministry, life, and to your family.
June 15, 2007
May God Bless you Ruth you were a wonderful person and a god loveing woman. You were married to the man that brought me to the lord in the 1970's he inspired my so much with his teachings. Billy Graham you are the most wonderful teacher of the Lord and I have you to thank for taking me done the golden path I was brought up in a home with no guidence to the Lord. I went with a friend to Oakland Collisuim CA and I came forth and you blessed me and you talked to me for almost a hour, that time with you has always been in my heart and I have cherish it always. May God Bless you and your family through your sorrow and your life.
June 15, 2007
My condolences to the Graham family. God bless all of you.
June 15, 2007
May God be with you, Dr.Graham and family during this time. You have comfort in knowing that you will be with your beloved Wife and Mother in heaven.

What a remarkable life and legacy left by a truely amazing woman of God. She has pointed many to God, only heaven will reveal her great rewards. We weep with those who weep, yet rejoice that she is Home at last. Thank you Lord for giving this world such a one as this. Comfort and blessings to all the family. We love you all.
June 15, 2007
Thank You God for Bill and Ruth Graham!
June 15, 2007

June 15, 2007
While I never met Mrs. Billy Graham, I know she has been a remarkable influence to me as how a wife should be supportive of her husband. God bless the Graham family for having such a wonderful wife and mother.
June 15, 2007
What a great legacy Ruth Graham has left others: a faithful wife and a great mother and grandmother under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. To Billy and all the family, may the God of comfort be in your hearts. I was born in Charlotte in 1947 and have followed Billy and Ruth and Franklin and the family all these years. We're proud of all of you! Billy and Franklin, thanks for a wonderful crusade in Wilmington a decade ago.
June 15, 2007
As a young woman and mother, living in my home country of New Zealand, I read some of your books. Through them you inspired me to live courageously and step up and be the woman of God He designed me to be. Thank you for fighting the good fight, staying the course and allowing God to bless my life through yours. I look forward to meeting you one day.
June 15, 2007
Mrs. Graham was a lady of whom the world was not worthy. May the God of all comfort comfort all of you at this time.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

THANK YOU MRS. GRAHAM.
June 15, 2007
Dear Rev. Graham:
Some fifty years ago I had the privilege of attending your crusade in the new Charlotte Coliseum. I and a group of other teenagers traveled from the small Presbyterian church in the Lebanon Community of Fairfield County, South Carolina to the biggest city in the Carolinas to participate in a sermon by the most famous preacher from the region (and nation). It was an awe inspiring event for this group of young people. It strengthened our faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ and made an impression on each of us that has lasted throughout our lives.
Now that minister has suffered a great loss, the death of his beloved wife and partner in Christ for over six decades. I know that you belief in the resurrection will speed your recovery from the grief of your loss of Mrs. Ruth. You and I know that she is in a much better place now, free of pain and suffering. I know that in time you and Mrs. Ruth will be reunited to spend eternity together in the company of the Trinity.
God bless and keep you;
William Jeter

God will comfort you which you already know because HE's been with you all the time. I just lost my Dad in April. Although he was 96 yrs young we feel that void as I'm sure you all will too. But this one thing we have to remember WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN ONE DAY AND NEVER HAVE TO SAY GOOD-BYE EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Ruth Graham, our sister, a part of our Family in God, will be missed. Not only was her husband our guiding star but she was the light that shined upon that star to show him the love that God had for him and that he was meant to spread the gospel to God's people.
May God bless the Grahams as they give this gracious lady over to Our Father and may they be blessed with love and grace as well.

We stand in Prayer for the family. What a beautiful lady and now Ruth is teaching the angels how to sing. Behind every successful man is a woman and yes Rev. Graham had such a woman. Their marriage is such a beautiful example of what a 'true' marriage is all about. May the family know that they are loved!

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
June 15, 2007
I did not ever meet Ruth Graham personally but reading her books has really inspired my life. She was a true woman of God. My condolences to the family. Your lives will be richly blessed by her precious memories.
June 15, 2007
May the joyful tears of the angels escort Mrs. Graham to heaven's gates and may she always be remember as the generous lady she was and that allowed the world to share her husband and family. God's continue blessing on you and your family and friends. Yesterday the world lost a wonderous lady that carried the spirit of God with her and she now is in his Almight presence and rejoicing as I pray to someday do.
June 15, 2007
The world has lost a very caring Saint from our presence.Ruth's life gives me opportunity to reflect on the comment: No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care. I never met her, however I have been encouraged by her testimony. May the grace of God comfort you Rev. Graham and your family.
June 15, 2007
May our Heavenly Father comfort and substained you over the lost of a friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. A solider has gone home, but let her memory live in in each of your mind and heart.
June 15, 2007
OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH EACH MEMBER OF RUTH`S FAMILY.
SHE WILL BE MISSED HERE ON EARTH BUT IS NOW RESTING IN THE ARMS OF GOD.
MAY EACH ONE OF RUTH`S FAMILY FIND PEACE & COMFORT IN THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF HER.
June 15, 2007
Is it wrong that I found myself smiling this morning as I thought of Dear Ruth's passing? Oh, I shed a tear with the rest of the world but sadness turned to smiles when I realized that after decades of faithful service she is finally in the arms of the Master. She ran a good race and now she has received her prize. God Bless the Graham family. Thank you for sharing your lives and your faith with the world. My prayers are with you during this time.
June 15, 2007
May God bless the Graham family in their time of loss. While it is very difficult to watch someone we love suffer, we still are never completely ready to let them go. My life has been greatly influenced by this family (most recently at The Cove) and words are insufficient to express my admiration and thanks for the lives they have led. We are so blessed to have lived in the same time period with them and to learn from them how to truly live as Jesus would want us to. My heartfelt love and sympathy to the entire Graham family.
June 15, 2007
Reverand Graham, my heart felt pain for you when I heard that your beloved Ruth passed. After saying a prayer for you, I thought about the loving words you've said about her over the years. I've often wondered what kind of woman she is to be so adored by you. She could only be an angel. My sympathy and prayers to you and the Graham family.
June 15, 2007
Rev. Graham,
You and your entire family are in my prayers. I can only imagine your sense of loss---and yet your joy, too, knowing that your wife is in the presence of the Lord. I pray that you and your entire family will experience God's all sufficient grace during this time of grief. I can't thank you and Mrs. Graham enough for loving us enough to share God's word with us and to live it out before us. May you all experience God's love and presence in a special way. With love and gratitude
June 15, 2007
Our Lord must have a special place in Heaven for this wonderful woman. Our sympathy to the Graham family.
June 15, 2007
To the Graham family,

May God richly bless you in your time of sorrow. As one who has experienced the death of my own mother, I know it's not easy to let go. Even so, I'm thankful that God ended her suffering when he did. I believe he did the same for Ruth. This is not the end! We know that we will see our mothers again and so we have the strength to continue each day.
June 15, 2007
My husband and I were at The Billy Graham Library yesterday when Ruth went to be with the Lord...not a coincidence. My parents took me to the Los Angeles Coliseum in '56 to hear Billy Graham--my husband was somewhere in that crowd too! Our prayers are with the family during this time.
June 15, 2007
To the family of Rev. Billy Graham:
Your name has meant a lot to me in most of my life.
At the time your father Frank Graham ran a dairy in Charlotte
We lived on Tremont Avenue, not too far from your dairy farm.
I was born in 1924 in Charlotte, and we took milk from the Graham
Brothers Dairy. In fact I believe Billy use to do some of the delivering
before school. Your family was and is a wonderful Christian family.
I remember the Ham Revival. I also remember the fires on the farm,
And when Jean had polio I’m sure that must have been hard on all the
Family, but your faith in God and prayers pulled you through. For a time I ran an Appliance Repair business in Charlotte, and at that time I had the pleasure
Of meeting some of your family.
We moved to Hickory in November 1962, and are still living here.
We had a real thrill one day meeting Mary and some of her friends at the
Cracker Barrel. She came over and talked with us a few minutes.
When Rev. Ford held a crusade in Hickory I had the honor of helping with
The planning and as a counselor. It was wonderful to see Jean along side of
Her husband. (I don’t think she knew who I was, but I remembered her.)
I feel sure that God has special rewards for your family from William
Franklin Graham and Morrow Coffey Graham to include your entire family.
The world would be a much better place if all parents brought up their children
The way the Graham’s did. God bless you all. I share my love and prayers with you.
Charles R. Collie, Hickory, N. C.
June 15, 2007
Our prayers are with you, we know Mrs. Graham is in a better place. Dr. Graham was a spiritual leader to me when I was a teenager at Maranatha
Bible Con in Muskegon, Mich.
June 15, 2007
Our greatest sympathy goes out to you during this trying time. You have lost a great woman in Christ. One day we will all have talks with the Lord. May he comfort you with our prayers. What an example your family has been to the World.
June 15, 2007
I hope Mrs. Graham will be remembered for generations to come for her love of life, laughter,
devotion to God and her family.
May God comfort the Graham's during this difficult time.
The world lost a great prayer warrior but Heaven gained a saint.
June 15, 2007
I did not know Ruth Graham personally but through her books I came to love her. She was a blessing and a help.
June 15, 2007
We have loved you two from a distance since 1949. Your team came to Asbury College for chapel when I was a student there. Your Evangelism Crusades and Conferences were wonderful experiences for those of us fortunate to attend. Our prayers are with you, Dr. Graham, and your wonderful family. I look forward to working with Samaritans Purse again and again. With love,

I know her family will miss her greatly but we know where she is & we as Christians will also see Jesus face to face one day as she is enjoying being in the presence of our dear Savior at this very moment.
June 15, 2007
No one is lost if you know where they are. Surely we know where Mrs. Graham is. She may have surrendered to missions as a young adult, but she probably never imagined that her mission field would have included the entire world. Her life is an example worthy to be followed. Prayers from around the world are lifted for the Graham family.
June 15, 2007
Every great man usually has a great woman to call upon when needed and Ruth was that great lady.
June 15, 2007
I will keep you in prayer - though she is not here in human form she will be with you deeply in your hearts. I don't know you personally but admire and respect the work that you have done for all of God's people. She will be missed but only for a little while because the day will come when we all can rejoice together in Heaven! God Bless as he will give you strength during this time - God bless you all!
June 15, 2007
Dear Graham Family,
We don't know you personally but ask that God may comfort you in the loss of your beloved Ruth. May you find comfort in remembering when one dies in the Lord, they go to be with Him in Heaven and wait for the rest of His children. God continue to bless you in your faithful years of ministry.
June 15, 2007
Dying is a part of life down here, the important thing is to be ready when God calls your name. We are only passing through this world, don't leave it carelessly, because we are on our way to another life/that life only has two choices. This life lived down here is the determining factor. Live life to the fullest with Jesus, repent, be baptized in Jesus name/ye shall receive the Holy Ghost...Acts 2:38. God bless.
June 15, 2007
I used to deliver papers to your mother when I was 15 years old and living in Charlotte, NC. She was the first person I delivered to, and a very kind and gentle woman. She used to give me cookies and milk every so often, and we oftened talked about you, your wife and GOD. She was inspirational in leading me towards a life with GOD. I want to sincerely express my deep sympathy and condolences for your wife Ruth. I never met her, but I read your authobigrahpy. You and Her were truly blessed by GOD, and I know she will be waiting for you to join her, when the Lord calls you home. I lost my father on May 14, 2007. He lived in Charlotte, NC and I stopped by your library. It was beautiful.

Take Care and God Bless You in your time of Sorrow.
June 15, 2007
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

June 15, 2007
My sympathy to Mr. Billy Graham, the loss he feels in his heart must be monsterous.

Mr. Graham's belief in God will get him past this.
He knows where Ruth's path has taken her.

We must not forget Billy Graham is one of Gods creatures, "a human being".
He has lost his mate in life!

What a beautiful example of Christ Ruth Graham was in her loving support of her husband and family. My father was stationed in the Air Force in France in the 50's and had the opportunity to meet Dr. Graham when he was beginning his overseas ministry. Since then, watching the crusades on TV felt like a part of our family's traditions. May God bless you at this time.
June 15, 2007
What a beautiful love story between Billy and Ruth; and an even more beautiful story of Ruth seeing Jesus face to face finally. One day Billy will too. What a joyous day that will be for them, and for all believers!
June 15, 2007
Thank God for Ruth Graham and for what/who she stood for.....truth,honor,the Heavenly Father. May God be with Billy and their children. It's hard sometimes losing a mother/wife/friend, but we must believe what God's Word says in Jeremiah 10:23 - I know, O Lord, that man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. May God's Grace comfort the Graham family during this time.
June 15, 2007

I was blessed to see Dr. Graham on several occasions and was visibly impressed. However, as the wife of a career military man, I emphasized with Ruth Graham who kept the home fires burning and raising their children. God Bless her.
June 15, 2007
Behind every Godly man, there is a Godly woman. God bless Ruth Graham. I can remember sitting in the living room, shelling peas with my parents and if Bro. Billy was preaching, we were watching.
June 15, 2007
My heart was warmed by the love of God Ruth had displayed in her life. It was evident who was first place in her life. Oh to try to strive and have that kind of relationship! I actually felt Gods love reading her legacy. In looking at her pictures and reading her poems, she showed you just how much she leaned on God. What a life! She never seemed to mind a quiet lifestyle away from her husband. Instead she developed her own. What a loss to the world, but what a gain to Heaven. My prayers are with you all during this time.
June 15, 2007

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

June 15, 2007

Dear Graham Family, What a legacy you each have to pass on to your children and grandchildren and actually the whole world was left an awesome legacy. The blessing of such Godly parents who have set before us all the selflesshness of serving such an awesome God.I am in awe of your whole family and the example you have each set before us. Your wife and mother was such a beautiful example of God's unending grace and how thankful that I am to have known of her. I only wish I could have met her and Mr. Billy Graham. I have never heard any negative thing about either of them. My family have always watched the Billy Graham crusades through the years starting with my grandmother to my children's generation. I was at a ladies conference in Greenville, N.C. about 8 years ago when I heard Anne Graham Lotz and I turned my life over to the Lord. My life has not been the same and to think I almost didn't go to the conference. Praise God that he led me there that night. I will morn with you over the death of your lovedone, for you all have touched all our lives. We are a blessed country and world for all that the Billy Graham family does to save the lost, love the lonely and broken, and serve the Lord by serving others and for serving God in all things. Thank you for giving to the Lord, we are so glad you did.You will all be in my prayers.May God continue the good work He has started in you until He calls us each home.
Blessings to all.

It has never been a mystery why our Lord chose to be the wife, friend and helper of a man for all ages. Every year when we received our Christmas card with those two sitting together in their home, both Sue and I saw just what God was talking about in Ephesians. What a tremendous example of being one in and with Christ. We will all miss Ruth, but like her wonderful husband put it, we are all looking forward to the time we see her again because we will then be in the presense of Almighty God. See you soon.

I never had the opportunity to meet Ms. Graham, but my husband and I did have opportunity to experience a Billy Graham Crusade in Asheville, NC in the late 70s, shortly after our marriage which made what we had watched on television for many years a truly complete experience with our living Lord. I feel that my life will not have been complete without actually personally knowing this marvelous woman. Dr. Graham is a living spiritual legacy and in my estimation, Mrs. Graham equalled his ability to reach and touch lives in a way only time will reveal. When I read the articles on her life, I am reminded of the Chris Rice song "Untitled Hymn" subtitled "Come to Jesus" and her life seems to have been a perfect reflection of that text. She has indeed "flown to Jesus". How you will miss her physical presence, but what priceless memories each of you cherish. Though the moment is sad, you've got to rejoice in the life she lived and her ultimate home where she now lavishes. Gone but never to be forgotten on this earthly soil.
June 15, 2007
All of heaven is smiling with Ruth Graham and her wonderful smiles she gave us all, and still does with her books, and her humorous playing and fun with comments to make us all laugh and see her JOY!!!!!for JESUS, creating a heaven on earth for us as her eyes smiled we saw and believed... and now as she smiles in heaven, the memories and stories and thoughts and prayers for her family continue. Clearly she was a missionary for all the world as she had the role as a ...homemaker, along side Billy Graham. Just WONDER-FULL we say with a smile.
June 15, 2007
I pray that God Almighty fill the void that is left by the death of Ruth in your family, but for consolation, have in mind that she is in a better place, where there are no pains or agony. May God Almighty bless your family and keep on strenghtening you all, especially Evangelist Billy Graham.
June 15, 2007
We will miss her. My prayers are with your family. God bless you in this time of remembrance. Dr. Graham, you have touched my life over the years!!! Thank you.
June 15, 2007
We pray God's continued strength for you Reverend Graham and for your family.

May God Bless you all as you go through.
June 15, 2007
You and Ruth have been my envy for lots of years I always see love in your eyes for Ruth, and that is the way it should be, Ruth had a beautiful smile always ready for you it was different for others, but a special one for the man she loved. I found love late in years, but love that has lasted, he is so good. I pray for peace to you and Love will always be with you and Ruth.

Anyone who knew about Rev. Billy Graham always remembered his wife Ruth. She was indeed a perfect companion for one whose job was sharing The Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world, as well as an excellent mother. I offer my condolences to the Graham family, especially to Rev. Graham senior. Although I'm sure that her soul now resides with the Lord, I'm sure he will feel the loss accutely.

Dear Dr. Graham and your Family,

Ruth will be deeply missed by all of us. We will forever remember her heart's total submission to God's control. She humbly spoke and wrote from a position of God's authority. She had the wisdom to know when to speak, and the love to do it with kindness (Proverbs 31:26). She gently wove threads of faith into each of you and all of us who loved her. What a priceless heritage we have as we pick up that thread ourselves and stitch it into the fabric of our families, creating a strong weave of faith, hope and love. Ruth was always able to communicaate and create an enduring relationship of love and respect, continuously uplifting us....a true reflection of Christ in her life.

Now Ruth has conquered death, scaled the heights of Heaven and forever resides with God our Father where joy and peace are eternal! Hallelujah!

Please remember that we are praying that our merciful Lord and Savior will continue to give you strength and comfort and His richest blessings now and always.

Love, Jacqueline & Ray Chambers

Like so many, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Graham. As a life-long Roman, I remember her and her brother, Dr. Clayton Bell, when he pastored Rome's First Presbyterian Church. It is a connection those of us who remember are proud of. Along with the world, I extend my deepest sympathies to Dr. Graham and all their family at this time or both sadness and celebration. May God comfort and bless you at this time of need.
June 15, 2007
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
June 15, 2007
I pray your family will feel peace at your mother's leaving to be with Christ.

I almost made it into one of Billy's crusades in Charlotte, but it was full! I have participated often in Franklin's Samaritan's Purse, and also heard Anne speak with AnGeL Ministries on campus in Chapel Hill. I haven't had the joy of reading Ruth's poetry or learning about the other children's ministries - except for watching a wonderful documentary last night on PBS before I even heard of her coma or passing.

Recently becoming a wife myself, I am learning what an influence every mood, word and deed can make. Ruth did well - she influenced her family for Christ, and that spread to the globe around her. May those of us still serving on this earth continue to carry that torch.

I know what it is like to have the love of your life taken. I lost my precious husband a little over two years ago. I am so very thankful for the hope we have in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. This is what she lived her life for. I know the heartache and loneliness the person left behind has to endure. There is a hole in the heart that can only be filled when we see them again in heaven. We live in memories lane and know they will always be in our hearts. Death cannot destroy our love. Grieving is hard work and very painful. Thank God for the hope we have in our precious Jesus. Heaven holds all to me and brighter its glory will be. Just knowing we will meet Jesus and our soul mate keeps our eyes focused on heaven. You and your family have my sympathy. Joyce Wells

DAYS OF GOLDEN MEMORIES

As we walked hand-in-hand along the sandy shore
Watching the sun slide into an ocean of gold
I turned to you, smiling, as we shared once more
A moment in time impressed deeply within my heart to hold

In those years to come when our steps would slow
And the golden glow of sunset is reflected on silver hair
Then memories stored within my heart will know
How to conjure up those barefoot days and share

Love that has endured through time and space
Days and nights remembered as we walked through life
I will not see what time has written on your face
Nor the days of worry and the anxious times of strife

We will walk into that setting sun of gold
Laughing at stories shared and knowing that love can last
The world may unwind and its' people find nothing upon which to hold
Yet on our last walk, hand-in-hand, we will know the very day our love was cast

Into an armored trust of lives joined by sacrifice and giving
Caring for the other and somehow self foregoing
Wrapped up inside in creating happiness in living
No need to speak of it as our hearts were ever knowing

We spent a lifetime of love and days of golden memories.

HIS PRESENCE by Jan Bills 6/15/07
Whenever clouds get in the way,
Obscuring Jesus' face,
I feel his presence, in my heart,
Filled with His loving grace.

I know not when my time will come
To leave this earth, and so
I daily walk close by His side
As through this life I go.

My heavenly home is waiting, there.
My loved ones watch for me.
Someday, I'll join the joyful throng
For all eternity!

One night in 1972 I was watching a Billy Graham Crusade on TV when I was moved by the Holy Spirit to drop to my knees and repent of my sins... just as Billy said I should. Jesus came into my heart. I was saved that night and my name has been wriiten in Heaven so that I may spend eternity with the Lord. Ruth was home raising the children while Billy was spreading the Gospel. Now I am enjoying the ministry of those children as well. She did a wonderful job raising her children and supporting Billy. I have admired her so over the years and enjoyed her many books...which I will continue to read. God bless you Billy and the children. As many others are praying, I am also praying God's peace and comfort for you in the days ahead.

My greatest symphathies are with the Grahan family and I rejoice with them that Ruth is now at home in heaven. I have such fond memories of Ruth. For two years I attended college in Montreat and during those turbulent years, one of the only constant things was that Ruth Graham taught our college Sunday School class every Sunday. What stories she had to tell of her life and experiences! I remember them well after all these years.

What a great inspiration and servant of God!
Now you get your reward in Heaven!!
God Bless the Whole Graham Family.

I am very saddened by the loss of Mrs. Graham. She & Rev. Graham are truly two individuals that have lived a life closest to being "Christ-like" as anyone else I know. I know Rev. Graham will be lost without her, but he can joy in the fact that he will one day see her again without all the pain. My prayers go out to the entire Graham family.

It is no doubt that millions of
people from around the world who came to know Ruth Graham and the
life she lived as a follower of
Christ Jesus, and in support of her
husband during these many years on
the earth will always have a place
in our memories. She was truly
blessed to have shared her life
with Dr. Graham and the many virtues and values which followed during her earthly visit. We the
Thornton family of Minneapolis,
Minnesota extend our continual
prayer of support, love, compassion, strength, and respect
to the family and many love ones
who mourn with the rest of us,
as well shall truly miss another
giant whom have been called to her
heavenly abode. We must admit that
none of her earthly works were
made in vain.

Prefect example of a proverbs 31 woman of God. She will be greatly missed by all. God bless and keep you in His Care.
June 15, 2007
I knew Billy Graham was married of course but never really knew his wife was, but the love he has for her the way he speaks about her, and when I seen some of the films about her she is the true essence of an angel. She radiates nothing but love. My regards to the Reverand and family.

My heart goes out to the Graham family at this difficult time.
I meet Billy Graham when my boss
at the time said he was coming in
for the service I was to perform.
I didn't know who he was, I was so
removed from God at that time,
but before he left he talked with
me about the love of God and I then
became a Christian while crying and
accepting God as Billy prayed with
me. He then took me by the hand and
said come with me I want to introduce you to my wife, she is
sitting in the car waiting for me and you will really like her, so
off we went to the car, and he said
honey, I want you to meet my new
friend Carol and she said hello it
is very nice to meet you, what a
wonderful smile and light that she
had in her eyes, I will always be
grateful for the way God put Billy
in my path,to this day I still have the Bible he gave me in 1974
and signed it this way,
May this Bible be your guide and
companion, Billy Graham.
Thank you Franklin for being there
for your father..
Sincerely,
Carol Taverna

Dear Graham Family,
My deepest sympathies to you for the loss of such a dear and precious lady. As the Mark Harris song says she is "dancing with angels on streets made of gold, listening to stories of saints new and old, worshiping our maker, that's where I'll be, when you finally find me". Praise God for the life of his newest saint, Ruth!
June 15, 2007

June 15, 2007

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Graham Family,

My daughter and I had the great opportunity to meet Mrs. Graham in a restaurant in Montreat. We talked about the roots that my first husband and my daughter had with Billy from the Steele Creek community outside Charlotte, NC. How delightful a lady she was. She was very frail at that time (2003), but was so gracious and caring. Thank God for that chance to talk with her. My you be comforted by her faith and by remembering her beauty. God is with you all.

Sincerely,

Barbara Brown Smith
