Shirley was a remarkable person and a devoted friend. I loved her very much. Her smile alone could melt you in a moment. Her feisty spirit, her strong opinions, her tell it like it is, tough love will always be with me. Shirley will always be in my heart and head.
Shirely and my mother grew up together in the Tioga neighborhood of Philadelphia. She was a wonderful lady and always stayed interested in our family. I feel fortunate that Donna and I were able to visit with her in NYC last year. She gave us pictures of her and my mother and her mother and my aunt Marie. Our condolences to all who mourn her passing.
Dear Herz family, please accept my condolences for your loss, may you all take comfort in the words of our Heavenly Father at Romans 15:4
Shirley Herz was an absolute doll!
I had the privilege of working with her in the 1970s and 1980s, along with the great Dorothy Olim and the wonderful Sally Sears.
She was a press agent's press agent. Unlike some of her proteges, she was ALWAYS upbeat, positive, funny, and, always thinking of the show she was representing and its producers.
As I look back on my years in theatre in New York City, Shirley is one of those I think of most fondly. Yes, there were other great publicists of the day, but, none, in my opinion, who cared as much and was so diligent and worked so hard for her clients.
Rest in peace, Shirley.
You were, and will remain, one of the best!
And, thank you for your service to the Broadway, Off Broadway, and even the Off Off Broadway community!

Thanks, Shirley, for a wonderful education and friendship. I remember well our late nights at Sardi's, drinking and smoking after the curtain went down. We laughed and cried. Giggled and gossiped. What a great time in the American Theatre. You were brilliant, but also one of the most caring people in the business. Thanks for being my friend. No one else like you.
God Bless You Shirley. You will be greatly missed. Thanks for the memories.
I loved Shirley. We spent many years together on the ATPAM board. A legend and icon, Shirley will be greatly missed by all, especially me. RIP, dearest Shirley.
Wow! What a wonderful and exciting life! Rest in peace.
