My Condolence to the Oliveira family

I am so sorry for the lost of Socrates. I remember as a little girl we used to watch soccer and we use to back up his team. The scripture tell us at Isaiah 33: 24 “No one will say I am sick”. And it also tell us that one day our heavenly Father promise us that one day soon we will see our dead loved one again.

I grew up playing and imitating athletes like Socrates. We can all look forward to seeing him run and play when God's promise at John 5: 28 and 29 is fulfilled: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

This is a sad time. Something I found refreshing is at Psalms 147:3 which says: " He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up their painful spots." My condolences.

Futebol lost not only a player, but a "craque de bola". There are many soccer players and there are very few "craques de bola" if you are brazilian you understand what this word means. Socrates you were "a craque de bola". I was and will always be your fan. When I first got married we had two cats and my wife asked me "what name we'll be given them? I simply said, "Socrates and Zico"
Rest in peace Socrates.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

My condolences to his family, friends and all of Brazil who are mourning his loss. He was well known both on and off the field for his brilliance. Socrates comes from a short list of athletes who made football into the sport it is today.
