Remembering Todd and thinking of the entire Pelino family today. Wishing you peace and sending prayers.
Todd was a childhood friend and playmate. On this day I will always think of him and his dear family. His family is in my prayers today. Love, Denise Gant
Thinking of you today! Blessings
You came to Houston a few weeks (months)? Prior to the attacks. I had never met you in person before, yet you were so very nice. We talked at dinner that night with others hoe much your family meant to you. I feel so happy that you seemed to have it all figures out.
You went back to Nj, and I found like it had found a new friend and broker.......
You were someone I can never forget because you were good to me. You were one of my brokers for such a short time. You came to visit me, your customer, weeks before 9/11. You showed me pictures of your kids because you were so in love with them. My heart still breaks today that your trip to Houston would be the last time I would see you. I hope your wife and family know how much Todd shared with me about you all that night at a company dinner. It was obvious how much he loved you all so very much
I still think about the events of 9/11 and how much they have impacted our lives today and the affect it had on this great nation. My boys are 10 and 12 and asked me about the events and about the planes back on the 10th this week. I will admit I struggled a bit to talk about that day but I was to tell them about Todd and his Sister in Law Kaleen and how great a person Todd was. He was everyone's friend and he left no one out. I play soccer still today in a Men's Outdoor League and each time I step on the field, I say a small prayer and look up to the sky, asking Todd to allow me to play the best game I can. I dedicate those Sunday's to Todd knowing how great a player he was and how much he loved the game. I think about Todd often as well as his family and pray that they have found peace in their lives. God Bless you Todd and all of the Pelino's!!
Every September 11th I think of Todd. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
Remembering Todd and thinking of the entire Pelino family today. I met Todd when I was ten and grew up playing little league and going to school with him. In high school, he won the class superlative for most school spirit which was fitting because he was the type of person who would show up to watch and cheer on fellow classmates despite his own busy sports schedule. You could not find a person with a bad word to say about Todd. He was universally well-liked and respected by everyone. Though they've no doubt heard it countless times from countless people, I want Todd's children to hear again that he was one of the true good guys in this world and those of us who knew him will always remember him. Thoughts and prayers for Todd and his family.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I lived in a house with Megan sophomore year at Colgate. I have prayed for her, her sister and her husband Todd often and will do so...forever.
Easy to think of you Todd,
What a great guy you are.
God bless you and your family.

Doug, think about you and your family often and especially yesterday. always remembered.....
We are always thinking about you.
I visit this web-site a few times every year, and always on this day. Todd & Megan were my wife's and my very first "married couple friends", and I am very pleased to see/feel that I miss him as much today as I did 11 years ago. In a tribute to Todd I am taking my daughters to a baseball game tonight. He was a very loving family man. Everyone loved Todd.
Thoughts and prayers for the Pelino family today. Todd brought such a wonderful presence to Mendon High and touched all of us with his humor, skill on the soccer field and friendship. Wendy PMHS '85

Even though Uncle Todd is not with us anymore, he will always be in our hearts.
We all miss you and love you so much Uncle Todd! We will never forget you!! You are in our hearts every day! And we wish you are still here today!
To family. We think of Todd and your tremendous loss often.
My thoughts and prayers to the Pelino family. Todd's radiant smile always brought a smile to my face in English class.
I graduated from Pittsford Sutherland (85) and competed against Todd in soccer for many years. I didn't know very many Mendon guys but I did get to know Todd. I have bitter memories of Mendon beating us in sectionals in 84 but I have fond memories of Todd. I think of Todd often. He was a wonderful person. I hope his wife, children and parents are doing well. You will always be remembered.
Todd left a profound imprint on the lives of so many. He was a role model for all of us to look up to and a very kind soul. My thoughts and prayers are with Matt, Terry, Doug, Maureen and Todd's family.
Thinking of Todd and the entire Pelino family today. All of us who grew up with Todd carry his memory with us at all times. We loved him and admired him and still do to this day. We talk about him fondly with each other and we tell others about him -- not only because he was a big part of us -- but also because he was a living example of the best kind of person one can be and someone we were proud to call our friend. He will never be forgotten.
I think of you often, Todd, and the memory of your bright smile makes my sadness go away. Miss you . . . my thoughts are with you and your whole family today and always.
May you know that many are thinking you.
May you maintain your spirit.
May you know that your father was kind, witty, a gentleman, and a true friend like know other.
- an old college friend
Thoughts going out to Todd's family today. I just learned that Matt is here in Charlotte ... already knew Brian Heffron was here. Wonder how many other friends of Todd's are here in Charlotte? RIP Todd, you were the BEST!
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I attended High School with Todd and played sports with him throughout the years. I remember him most for his work ethic on the soccer field. He was tough as nails,a fierce competitor and great teammate.
You will always be remembered and you and your family are in our prayers!
I did not know Todd but I did know his father Doug. We worked together for many years at Xerox. Our thoughts are with you all today and always.
Always remembered. Love to the Pelino family.
Thoughts of Todd and the Pelino family always on this day.
Prayers for all who loved Todd! Special thoughts for his family and especially his children. Your dad was an amazing man and I know he lives on through you. Todd was a great friend and I'm thankful for the times we spent together.
Todd could make you smile on and off the soccer field. Such a talent. Watching him play still gives me chills at his amazing ability! RIP Todd
Thinking of the Pelino family.
Thinking about Todd and his ability to mkae you smile on and off the soccer field. Thinking about watching him play still gives me chills of how good he was! RIP Todd!!
Thinking of the entire Pelino family and remembering Todd's friendship...his amazing smile:). My prayers are with you tomorrow as they are each year on this tragic day.
Thinking of Todd and his family this weekend......he was an upstanding guy from a wonderful family.
Thinking about Todd and the Pelino family. We will never forget. He always made me smile and laugh through middle and high school. Thanks Todd!
Todd was the kind of person that would always put a smile on your face. He was always able to make me laugh, and I have great memories of him at Pittsford Mendon High School. I think about him and his family often. We will never forget.
Todd was my neighbor and 1 year older but he was always nice to me -- even if he made fun of my aerobic class that was next to his intermural soccer game in high school! Now an English teacher in France, I start every school year talking to my students about Todd on or near the anniversary of 9/11. My thoughts and prayers go out to his parents , brothers, wife and children who I am sure still suffer his loss even 10 years later. May God bless you all and I hope that his story has changed some peoples' lives in a faraway land...
Recalling great memories of Todd as a leader within the Colgate soccer family and wonderful friend to many of us. Thinking of the Pelino/Pezzuti family and wishing you support and strength.
Todd was a warm person with a kind heart. He always had a smile or joke to brighten your day. He had a bright spirit which will never be forgotten. This web site is a testament to the love he left behind.
..And still you are on my mind and in my heart. Thinking of the Pelino family.. not only now but always. His smile greets me and my students in my office every day. He continues to light up the room and influence others. Forever....RIP.
Remembering the entire Pelino family this weekend and always. I've a lasting image in my head of Todd, fist in the air in victory as he jumped into a pile of teammates on the soccer pitch in October 1983. Thanks for the memories, my friend... and wishing peace to you all.
My dad Todd D. Pelino is always in my heart.
I think about him everyday and wish he was still here.
Mendon and the pittsford community is think of you this weekend. you are always in our hearts and we will think of you always
10 years, but not a moment has passed.
I'm thinking of my aunt and uncle, Terry and Matt on this day. My prayers are always with you. I miss Todd and have great memories of when we were kids, he always teased me and got away with it. Todd was charming and had a loving spirit. I feel blessed to have called him my cousin.
Thinking of the Pelino family today, I hope the news of the day helps. I understand that it doesn't bring Todd back, but hopefully this closes a chapter on Justice for your loss.
I was searching information on my late husband, John W. Pelino, we're looking to set up a writing scholarship. John passed suddently, in March 2007 who's family was from the Italian region of Abbruzzo, town of Pacentro. I am saddened to come across Todd's name during the search, and among the 911 victims, we had no idea. Our belated, and sincere condolences. There are not many names that are close to Pelino, mostly our contacts are in the Aliquippa area, outside of Pittsburgh. We also know of some families in Connecticut, Chicago, and Canada. Of course, the famous Pelino Confetti family of Sulmona, Italy (AQ). Just thinking of you all, reaching out if it's of interest. Again, our sincere, condolences. Am sure like you all, we will never forget.
Sincerely, Karen Pelino (Mrs. John)
My name is Jan Tucker. I worked at American General Life Insurance in Dallas TX and we paid your claim from this tragedy. I took great pride in knowing we provided some financial support during this time. Every Sept. 11th, I re-read my list of 17 claims that I personally paid and my thoughts and prayers are with your family. I WILL NEVER FORGET.
After nine years the pain, shock and loss has not diminished. My thoughts and prayers to the Pelino family.
We will never forget. Our prayers are with the Pelino and Pezzuti families.
For Regan Pelino: Your kind and loving words for your Uncle Todd touched my heart. I remember your Uncle Todd, your dad Terry and your Uncle Matt from high school, mostly at how well they all played soccer. :-) Please know that I pray for your family as often as I can. Many blessings to you, sweet Regan. Keep the faith and know how much you are loved.
He was my uncle I Never got to meet him. He died in September and I was born in December. My dad Terry was Todd's younger brother. My mom and dad fill my minds ith great memories I have a brother that is 6 and his name is Todd also he was named after uncle todd. It was very sad my dad saw it and he said he was crying for Todd to get out of the building. But he didn't. every one was VERY sad. My Nana and Grampa were his parents as you has kind of figured out. And they also give me and my and my cosions I do not know how to spell that word! They give us great memories Annie and Ben were his kids they were baby's when he died. It was a very sad time. Keep praying for todd!
My childhood memories are filled with Todd's smile. We spent countless hours playing sports together. Todd was always the nicest person on the field, and often the most gifted.
Though we lost touch through the years, I always thought of him and wondered how he was doing. I was deeply affected by 9/11, and crushed when I learned Todd had been killed. My prayers are with his family, God Bless you all.
I worked with Todd at Cantor Fitzgerald, and he and Megan were my wife's and my first married couple friends. He always looked on the bright side of things, which is what I remember most about him.
Todd sat behind me in homeroom at Barker Rd and Mendon, and we both played on the golf team one season. He was easy going and always good for a laugh, even when he hooked the ball into the woods. My thoughts are with him and his family on this sad anniversary.
I was lucky enough to attend High School with Todd. When I think back at high school, I will always remember his smile and laugh. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
In 1984, Todd was a senior and I was a sophomore that had just moved back to Pittsford. I heard about a party and showed up, to learn that it was for juniors and seniors only - no exceptions. I was shuffling my feet out in the road, trying to figure out how to get home when Todd and his date left the party. As he walked by, Todd asked me (a complete stranger) why I was not inside. I explained to him the juniors/seniors only policy. Todd nodded his head, went back to the house, had a few words with the host, and then escorted me inside. It was so cool.
Lots of great memories of Todd posted here - that is mine.
Best to the Pelino clan,
God Bless Todd and the entire Pelino Family. You will never be forgotten.
Our belated sympathies to Todd's family--they were really nice neighbors when we were in Pittsford, NY in the early 80's.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Todd's family and friends. Knew Todd when we went to school together at Barker Road Jr. High in '81-'82, he was a great person and we will always miss his bright smile. God Bless you Todd.
I went to high school with Todd. My fondest memories of him are from our trip to France in 11th grade.
To all those mourning: May HaShem comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Sidra Boshes (Shapiro)
I knew Todd (and younger brother Terry) from playing soccer in Junior High at Barker Road and at PMHS. Although I left PMHS in 1984, I had the opportunity to play with Todd during Joe Borrosh's indoor soccer program at Mendon Center Jr. High in the winter or 83-84. I remember Todd's style and skill with and without the ball. It was a pleasure watching him play. I remember his enthusiasm after scoring his goal against Sutherland in 1983 Sectional Finals. My heart has and always will go out to Todd and his family.
Greg Liechty (Would've been class of 1986 if I had not moved to CA)
Thinking of you and yours on this day!!
I hope this comes out right. Todd Pelino is the only name I recognized of the 9/11 victims, and I pray for him and his family whenever I think about it. I graduated from Pittsford-Mendon HS in 1988 and remember Todd, Terry and Matt Pelino quite well. Between their soccer talents and crowds of swooning girls, it was hard to NOT know the Pelino brothers. :-) Now that I am a parent, I fully appreciate the blessings that God gives all of us EVERY day. All my best to the Pelino Family, and I pray that you find peace.
God bless Todd and his family on this day.
When you hear the words, "he was a nice guy" you think oh they are just being nice. In this case, no one can say that. Todd was the nicest person you'd ever want to know or have the pleasure of meeting. Todd brought smiles to people's faces without even trying. We will always miss him and he will always be in our hearts.
As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.
Still remembering you Todd
On behalf of my entire family, I want to express my thanks to all of you for sharing your memories of Todd as well as for your thoughts and prayers.
We miss him more than words can describe and it brings me some peace to know that Todd left his mark on so many people . . . as I write this, I'm listening to what I consider Todd's song - 'I Hope You Dance' b/c he lived such a passionate life and b/c he, literally, brought so much fun and energy to the dance floor at every wedding reception.
Love you Todd.
I went to high school with Todd and graduated the same year, 1985. I didn't know him that well, but we all knew him as a soccer star. When I found out shortly after 9/11/01 that he was among those lost, I immediately thought back to that young soccer star I knew so many years ago at PMHS. Now, as a mother of two, I can't imagine how hard this has been for his family. My thoughts are with you.
A bright smile and radiant spirit. I am glad to have know you. My thoughts and prayers to Todd's family.
To Todd's Family and Friends,
It breaks my heart to imagine what you've been going through in the past two years. I often think of Todd and instantly wonder how you're doing. We could all see that Todd was the most wonderful Son, Brother, Nephew, Husband, Dad and Friend you could ever dream of having. He'll remain that way in our memory forever.
May God's strenght and love always give you comfort.
Our prayers are with you.
To Todd's family,
Thinking of Todd, and his whole family, not only today but many days of these past few years. Todd was a wonderful person and so is his family...
Love, Deb, Bridget, and Matt Kushner (cousins)
I happened upon the CNN Memorial Website and was scanning the names and bios of those who perished on 9/11. I lived down the hill from Todd and his family on Surrey Lane in Pittsford, NY and his brother Terry was in my class at school. We moved away in 1980 to Westport, CT. Although we did not know each other very well, and our families did not keep in touch, I do remember what a brilliant athlete Todd was. I am deeply saddened and shocked to find out about his loss. My sincerest condolences to his wife, children, parents and brothers.

I new Todd years ago at Pittsford-Mendon High School. I was 2 years older than him but I knew him well at the time. In fact we were both in select chorus in junior HS together. Todd had many talents and soccer was his passion at the time. It is a testimony to his personality that I still can picture his smile in my mind and I never saw or spoke to him since I left PMHS. Todd's tragic death has had a profound influence into my life. I found myself very bitter and angry at the terrorists, I felt like something must be done. I have since began a new career with the transportation security administration in the federal government. I dedicate my new career in Todds Memory. A single day does not pass that I don't picture Todd's face and remember why I get up and go to work to help protect our country. Unfortunately I never knew Todd in his "Adult" life but the contact that I did have will forever have an influence on me. Todd Pelino was so special and he is missed by more people than anyone could ever imagine.
My Prayers are with your family and our nation.
I had never met Todd or his family.
I picked Todd's name out of a hat after a church service. I was supposed to pray for him and his family. I do. Every day.
I dont know you personally, but please know that my love and thoughts go out to you every single day.
Dear Megan and the Pelino Family,
The New York Times piece tells how Todd was such a kid-loving family person. I thought it would be nice to relate the following story that provides testament to that fact:
Todd was best man at my brother Tim's wedding. The day before the wedding, my daughter Samantha (7 yrs old at the time) and Timmy (5 yrs at the time) spent hours in the pool playing chicken fights with Todd and Tim's fraternity brothers. The kids had such a blast with Todd that for YEARS afterward they would fight over who would get to ride on Todd's shoulders in the next chicken fight. Every time we went to visit their Uncle Tim in St. Louis they would pester him with questions like "Where was Todd? (NJ)" and "When would Todd show up so they could play with him?"
Todd's memory will always hold a fond spot in the hearts of our family and those he has touched. Your family is always in our thoughts and in our prayers.
The Swansons - Chris, Heidi, Samantha, Timmy & Ryan
To Megan, Ben & Annie,
Not a day goes by that we don't think of you and say a quiet prayer for you and your parents and Doug & Maureen. On the eve of this anniversary, it is hard not to be thinking constantly of Todd and all of the others lost that terrible day. Todd being the natural father was definately seen by many, we remember when you came home shortly after Maggie was born, and he very much enjoyed holding her!! How great it was to see!! Know that you are loved and supported by so many friends here in Rochester, and certainly our door is always open for you and the kids when you come to visit. We know we can not take your pain away, but if we can help bring smiles to you and the kids, we would love to do that! Todd will forever be greatly missed. We are sure he is with you and the kids in spirit every minute of every day, loving you more than ever before. Our thoughts, love and prayers always,
Tina, Al, Maggie & Sean Ryan (Pittsford, NY)
The world is a poorer place without Todd and my heart continues to break for you and your children. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.
To the Pelino and Connelly family, Some people
come into our lives
and quickly go...Some people
footprints on our
hearts...and we are
~ never ~
the same. As I know Todd has done with the people he has touched in his life.We pray for you all, May God Bless You!
Sandy, Matthew,and Ryan McGillicuddy
May God BLess you and watch over the family and friends that you left behind this past September. May you rest in peace forever more.
My Dad and Todd's Dad have been friends since they were kids- we grew up with the Pelino's- my childhood pictures of Todd, Terry & Matt playing soccer with my brothers and me & my sister cheering on... it's just so sad how one day life can be gone with only memories to cherish- For his children, wife and family we send you many prayers & may god always be with you- The story of Todd will never be forgotten- what a wonderful parent he was - this article was difficult to read as a parent of 3 girls- It seems as if words will not make this easier for you Meagan- just know we are always praying for you all! god bless!
Todd, I know you are at home with the Lord and in need of nothing, so my prayers are for your family. I pray that He will ease their grief.
My prayers go out to Todd and his family. I went to highschool in Pittsford, New York with his brothers Terry and Matt. I have a two year old daughter and I cant even begin to comprehend the grief that Todd's wife and two young children are dealing with. Please be strong and God bless you all.
When Todd was a Sales Rep. for the Simmons Co. I was the Customer Service Rep. for his accounts. I am so sorry to sign a Guest Book for Todd who was so young. He will be remembered at Simmons where we did honor him in our company Magazine.
DEAR GOD SHINE YOUR LIGHT ON THIS WONDERFUL MAN..TODD D.PELINO AND MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE WITH GOD AND HIS ANGELS..GOD BLESS HIS LOVING FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS..STAY CLOSE PRAY AND NEVER FORGET 9/11/01..GOD BLESS AMERICA AND NEW YORK FOREVER..MAY JESUS AND HIS SAINTS GREET YOU AT THE GATES OF HEAVEN..AMEN
As I was looking through the list of names from 9-11, I recognized Todds name amoung them. I was also a graduate of Colgate University, in 1989, where I participated in football and basketball. My heart goes out to Todd's family and friends.
I met Todd once at a trade show a year back. We laughed together and shared a fondness for the great city of New York. He will be missed. My prayers are with him and his family.
Megan: My heart goes out to you for the loss of your husband and your sister. There are no words that could make it easier for you to survive your grief. But, please, hang in there. God is holding you in his hand and America holds you in their hearts.
My prayers go out to Todd and Kaleen's loved ones.
If I ever become a parent, I hope I too can set such a wonderful example as Todd has done.
We are very sorry for your loss of Todd and Kaleen. It sounds like Todd was a wonderful father. May his life and love live on through his children. Our hearts cry with you.
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
