February 20, 2010
I feel so struck by what has happened to your loved ones, your professors, your staff, members of your community - no one deserves to have something like this happen to them. Your grief and pain at this time is unimaginable, and I can only pray that you will be strong enough to uphold the beloved memories of those who have passed on, and your love for them will keep you through this extremely anguished time. Let us remember the light they shared with the world, the wisdom and knowledge they passed on to students, no one can take these things away. My heart is with them and with you through this...

February 14, 2010
Reading entries like these touched me in ways that I can't quite describe two years ago. It was a time when the DeKalb community truly needed to hear the decency and humanity of people that was torn out of our hearts as we heard of what happened in Cole Hall and saw the aftermath outside and on the news. I hope that members of the University of Alabama community can feel how I felt when reading this guestbook. I hope they can see that the world and the people in it are not always full of chaos and pain. My thoughts are with you, and I wish you strength in your time of confusion and grief. Huskies are with you.
February 14, 2010
A tragedy so close to the anniversary of our own. While others may forget the pain, the wounds are still fresh in our minds. It's unfortunate that something so tragic is what unites us, but together, we can find comfort.
February 14, 2010
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
February 14, 2010

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
February 14, 2010
god be with the familys that lost their love ones. i am so sorry for your lost . theses things shouldnt be aloud to happen.god bless .
February 14, 2010
My deepest condolences are with you in your time of grief. May you continue to find comfort in the memories that you all shared together and get comfort from knowing one day Sickness will be no more and Death will be a thing of the past. In times of grief such as these, I find it comforting to meditate on the words found in the Holy Writings at Job 14:14, 15. Job expressed his faith that God would bring him back to life if he should fall asleep in death, "All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, Until my relief comes. You will call, and I myself shall answer you." The scriptures indicate that it is possible to reunite with your loved one in the near future, right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. Psalms 37:10, 11 offers us this promise. My sincere condolences to your entire family.

I am SO saddened. Dr. Johnson was my mentor one summer for the AAMP program. He was the most patient person and a great person overall. I screamed with disbelief that this is such a small world; he touched so many. My deepest regrets and condolences for all of the victims' and their families. Surely, they have created lifelong impacts on many of us as we continue to progress through life as a direct impact of their guidance. God's Blessings and perfect peace. I cannot imagine the pain and grief that must felt by you loved ones at this time. Let God be your comfort through this tragedy. He promises at Isaiah 25:8 to "certainly wipe the tears from (your) faces." He also promises to bring an end to all the injustice that many experience.(Proverbs 2:21,22). Until then, let God's "tender mercies" comfort and strengthen you during your time of sorrow.
