The fallen are many and the sheer masses make it hard to find identity for the casual onlooker...but every single one has a family that wishes they were still here.

Sgt. Brown, your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Brother in arms, rest in peace.

May it be, Merciful Father, that You will take our tears and turn them into comfort for this grieving family ... that the ache in our hearts at the passing of this brave warrior will become liberty and freedom for others ... that our deepest sighs will become victory for his mission, that others might live. Amen ...

Will,
Words cannot express everything that you meant to me. You were truly one of the kindest, funniest and most generous people I have ever known. Your selflessness was remarkable. You were always there when I needed and wanted you to be. Before I left Fort Polk (and also during my time there) you were so special to me. You and your family. I love all of you and you will all always have a place in my heart, and your family, a place in my home. Staying with you, Liz and Dolly before moving was one of my fondest memories of Polk. You truly made me feel like family, you and "your girls". The world will not be the same without you. You were a true inspiration to others. I will never forget the impact you had on my life. I promise you that I will keep in contact with your family. I love them dearly. I am sad that you had to leave us all, much too soon. I love you Will.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. William will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.
