A few years have gone by since our beloved friend left the earth however she still has an impact today for the way she lived her life. Here is a photo I recently uncovered of our smiling, hugging and remarkable chancellor. Her passion for learning and eagerness for community, groundbreaking role, and leadership style are still present in my life. I thought I would google her name in honor and memory of her impact. I was delighted when I found this Guest Book still active to pause a moment and reflect. May God continue to bless those who carry Ann Lydecker in their hearts!!

Life passes us by so quickly that we don't often enough stop to think about those who meant alot to us or were intstrumental in our lives in some way. Why this came to mind, I have no idea, but I was pondering this subject and a person comes to mind. My sixth grade teacher, Ms. Ann Favor. So I think, "I wonder what Ms. Favor is doing today" so I google her name and find it. Then sadly I discover that she was tragically taken in an auto accident over 4 years ago. I don't know if this guest book is still "active," but I must make an entry. I knew Ms. Favor when I was 10/11 years old, I am 42 now and I never had the opportunity to see her again after that sixth grade year. I remember her as one of my favorite teachers as she was kind and had a way of motivating us out of our comfort zone to reach new horizons, even at 10 or 11 years old. I specifically remember her asking me to MC an evening program we did for parents, friends, and family, and I was scared to death. She convinced me to do it, encouraged me, and helped me as if I were her own. What a special lady. I recall that she lived in Ann Arbor at that time and I was a young avid University of Michgan football fan. On Monday mornings that fall, Ms. Favor used to talk football with me. What a great memory that is. I am deeply, deeply saddened to learn of her death. For anyone who may still read this, please know that there is one 42 year old man that remembers Ann Favor from over 30 years ago and it's amazing how years bring back fondness of those who really meant so much to us!!! God be with you Ms. Favor! And God be with your family.
