Mr. Farina was a very special person in my life. I had an orthopedic issue that didn't allow me to go to a public school until 3rd. Grade. The transition wasn't easy for me but he took the time to give me that extra attention that I needed. I'm sure everyone that was influenced by him will always remember him fondly. My deepest and most sincere condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to Mr. Farina's family. I was also a student at Sherman School at the time he was principal (my last year there was 1974). Mr. Farina is one of the few people that I recall from those days, and will always remember how, even after graduation from high school, he would remember my name, which made me feel like I mattered to him, too. Thanks for all the great memories, Mr. Farina!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. I was a student at Sherman School when Mr. Farina was principal. In fact, I'm sure not many people can say that they had the same principal as their father. Mr. Farina also was principal when my father (Roger Brown) and his sisters attended Sherman School. The fondest memories I have of Mr. Farina are his great big smile, how he never forgot a name, and when he would play his guitar and sing songs to us kids. Mr. Farina is one of those individuals who I will never forget and will always bring a smile to my face when I remember him.
God bless.
