To who it may concern, my name is Vanessa and the reason why I am messaging is cause my granddaughter found a necklace with his picture and his information on the back of it. Would like to give it to one of his family member.

Dear Ahlquist Family,
I visited Creede for the first time this summer. I love taking trips to the Colorado mountains to see all the scenery and the mining history. I loved Creede but what stood out the most to me was the memorial in town to a TRUE hero of the human race: Sgt. Clinton Ahlquist. Realizing I could take a trip like this because brave men and women like Clinton make it possible, I photographed his memorial and looked up this site on the 10 year anniversary of God's calling. Words just cannot adequately describe the gratitude all of us have for Sgt. Ahlquist, and for his family & friends as well. I know Clinton and his departed loved ones are with Christ now, and I know you will all be together again one day in God's Kingdom. Please press forward using the promise of the future to sustain & buoy you, and the good memories of the past to enrich you. And never forget there are so many keeping you and Clinton deep in their hearts and prayers.
