If we all lit just one little candle.....

I just read "Flowers for Algernon" again for the second time after I first discovered the film and the book in the late sixties. This time I wanted to contact the author, Holden Caulfield style, and was so saddened to hear Mr. Keyes passed away about the same time last year. My deepest condolences and my deepest thanks for his uniquely sensitive examination of an issue which has never been approached in quite the same say, before or since. More compassion for the mentally disabled and their inner anguish...would go such a long way to raising consciousness about individual differences in general and what is the true mission of humanity in a world where there are absolutely no givens but many soul wrenching questions...
