While we often think of this tragic day as a day that Anerica lost so many, we must always remember that there are many from other countries who also lost their lives that day, or friends and families of those victims are from other countries, so I must be careful and remind myself that the WORLD lost many great people that day, many of them who had a great impact on this world. We will not let their legacy die, but continue to strive and be better world citizens in their honor. Today my thoughts and prayers go out specifically for Ian's friends and family. Much love from Garland, TX, USA

Ian, we never met, but I signed up for Project 2996 a few years back and blogged about you for the 5 yr 9/11 anniversary. In my research on you, I saw numerous comments from people who actually knew you, and I found myself wishing I could have been part of that group.

As part of my own quest for self-improvement, I joined Toastmasters a while back, and one of the speech projects I'm doing tasks me to speak in praise of somebody living or dead. I hope your friends and family will indulge my choice of you for this project. Thank you for the example you lived in your life; you truly are an inspiration.

I continue to miss him. I am continuing to choke up every year at this time. I cherish working in a building that bears his name every day. God bless you, Ian. You left quite a legacy.
