Jason and I became really close friends when we met in the 5th grade at Rolling Hills. I was blessed to have his friendship as we went to school together during the next 4 years. He then went to Central and I went to KR. We were still friends, but didn't really get a chance to hang out during high school. I wanted to share one of the many memories I have of Jason from our childhood. In the 5th and 8th grades we were both fortunate enough to get to go on the Washington DC trips with the school. I remember setting beside him on the bus ride both times we went. I remember him telling me that his Dream was to play in the NBA as he was gazing out the bus window. Jason is one of very few people in this world that can say that "I accomplished my Dream." Even though Jason and I didn't get to talk much after the 8th grade, I still remember those 4 years when we were good friends. Now, my kids go to Cathloic Central and I proudly remind them that Jason and I had a great friendship. I also tell my kids that Jason was very well rounded; an Honor Student, Funny, Talented, Disciplined, Determined, and most of all was very Kind to everyone. Jason, your legacy and memories live forever in everyone that was blessed to meet you. May God bless the entire Collier Family.

Just a memory for you -- I happened to be at Jason's high school graduation and the thing that stood out in my mind was first, he stood out, and up, and was smiling at everyone he passed. Everybody seemed to know him and he acknowledged them all. I was saddened to hear of his passing at the time, and though I didn't know him personally, it was a loss I, too, felt. May your memories give you peace.
