JOhn and ted harris were two tough guys...the blackhawks are my team here in chicago, but have many nights of great memories of John Berguson...boy was he tough. luckily we are in the finals in the third game with the flyers...just wanted to let you know that some people are never forgotten ...I'm 69, and lived through the great period of only 6 high quality teams...god bless

Growing up so close, made him seem like family.
Living so far, made him seem like an hero,
A hero that i had alway wished to be like,
Knowing him, made me feel like a star,
When inside we all knew, he was the star,
He was more then a courageous hockey player,
He wasnt only a hero on the ice,
He was my hero in the real world,
He was an amazing man to know,
He always did the right things,
He was brave, loving, caring, funny, pollite, intelligant, respectful, honest, and most of all a fighter,
He fought in a game,
He fought for his life,
He fought for the right things,
He lived a memorable life, one you could only be proud of.
I am so dearly sorry for your lost, you have my deepest sympathy.
Fergie will always remembered.

I just found out about John's passing and am sad. As I was growing up, he and the Habs were my heroes. Later, I had the opportunity to get to know him, as a Winnipeg sportscaster. He was always gracious, respectful and kind to me, as was his daughter Chris, who worked in the Jets office. My condolences to Chris and the rest of the Ferguson family.

My deepest condolences. Ah the memories of watching the Canadians at the forum and Fergie always giving his best shot. To many fond memories that touch the heart, soul and mind of some great moments in this great game of hockey and Fergie you made it that much better.
