Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Mora Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Jose L. Mora US Army Specialist. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family of SPC. Mora,
My name is MSG Cadar B Helms, USAF (Ret.). I have felt the necessity to reach out to you since Oct, 2003 when I had the honorable privilege to be a part of the first step in returning SPC Mora to his family. I was an Air Force aviator flying C-130's and we flew into Ballad AB, Iraq with a mission to transport 2 soldiers who had been KIA'd. Your son, brother, father was one of those two soldiers. Neither of those two brave and heroic soldiers will ever leave my mind. I would be honored to talk with any of the family members if any of you are so inclined. This has been with me for 11 years and it will be with me for the rest of my life. I would like to know that the small part we had in SPC. Mora's journey home meant something. I pray that God has touched your hearts and has somehow softened the pain you have felt from your loss. My prayers and my heart are open to you.
This little note is something that I have thought about for over a decade. I would like to talk to you about my small part in returning SPC Mora home, but if you can't, I will respect that decision.
God bless you and your family.
