Skip and the crew converted my father-in-law, a big Cincinnati Reds fan, to the Braves in the 80's. I grew up with the Braves from age 9 in 1957 but my being a fan of the team became really special during those years with Skip and
the broadcast crew. Skip kept fans watching boring games because you just couldn't wait to hear what he would say next. My favorite one-liner of his during exciting games is "This game would make coffee nervous".
In my lifetime.....greatest of all time. Period.

I miss Skip too, and I can't tell you how much all the kind comments mean to me, his sister, and the rest of the family. I don't know why I never saw these comments before, but they surely put a contented smile on my face. Thanks for your appreciation. He was a great guy.

Skip and Harry were simply the best that ever were. I watched the Braves and Cubs just to hear their voices. I fell that we shall never see their like again RIP.

Every time a fan catches a foul ball, I still wait to hear Skip tell me where the fan is from. Miss you, Skip.
