May 24, 2018
Today, 24 May, 2018 the military veterans of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, Virginia and St. Louis, Missouri honored the lives of service members who had fallen is combat since 11 September, 2001. We wore badges with the names of the fallen and which operation they had participated in. I had the honor of wearing Timothy's badge along with those of his squad mates, Army Spc. Jeffrey W. Corban, 30, Elkhart, Ind.; and Army Spc. Richard A. Hardy, 24, Newcomerstown, Ohio. We paused at the 17 minute mark of every hour to reflect on the selfless sacrifice these warriors gave to help spread freedom to the oppressed people in Iraq. Please know that Timothy is now part of my own Operation Iraqi Freedom Memories (OIF I and II) and part of a list of troopers that I will reflect on each year as Memorial Day nears. May God continue to provide comfort to Timothy's loved ones.
