Mary Jo & I are sorry to hear Paul has 'Flown West'. It has been 40 years since we spend time together in the Air Force and those happy memories will always be remembered. Col. Paul Friedrich (USAF, Ret.)

I am simply a new penpal of Cecilia's. She told me of Paul, I just happened to look him up online. What a wonderful rememberance.

Dear Cecilia, Butch and Sue,

One of my first memories of my brother Bud was when he and our Dad were building a chicken house from box car siding gotten from the PRR yard at Lucknow. I also remember the bright yellow Ford feed truck that he sometimes drove home. A highlight of my young life (age 11) was my first solo Greyhound bus trip from Harrisburg, PA to Binghamton, NY (with a bus change in Scranton) to visit Bud and you.

It was always a thrill to see and hear Bud's B24 buzzing the farm prior to landing at the former Middletown Air Depot (now Harrisburg International Airport)and then his visit to our farm.

Other nice times to remember were the boat ride on the Swatara Creek, your visit with Janie and me at Highland Hemmocks State Park and the visit at our house on the new back deck in central PA.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Jack and Jane

Dear Cecilia,
We lived in Desota Park for a short time. We became friends and neighbors with you & Paul. He was a gentleman and very nice to talk to. He would come by our home on his three wheel bike. If I was out he would always stop and talk to me. And some day up yonder we will talk again.
Cindy and I are very close friends with his sister Dottie. A very wonderful person also.
Fondly,
Cindy & Allan Snyder
