Capt Sizer,
When we were told about your son, we all felt profound sadness for your loss. None of the words that I write can express the sympathy I feel for you. I give you my best wishes.

Dane, the more pictures I see of you the harder it is to think of a time when you weren't smiling. Even when I was yelling at you from the back of the bus on the way to ROTC to shut up so I could get some extra sleep. I am so proud of you for accomplishing your dream of becoming a hero. I'll be graduating boot camp for you babe. Tell God I said hey. We miss you!!

Hello,
This is Emerald Gomez. We went to high school in San Antonio, Texas together. We loved ever second we spent with Dane in the ROTC. He was the life of everyday. From him always talking about the Army, to him always picking up something to spin everytime he talked, even to him just always talking soo loud. We oved your son very much here at Warren High School. Especially the two Drill Teams that we all considered ourselves a FAMILY!! SILVER GUARDS AND SILVER GUARDIANS!!! GUARDS FOR LIFE, BROTHERS TIL DEATH!!! WE LOVE YOU DANE!!!! May your son live on forever in spirit with you and with the ones who loved him.

I cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. My heart, love and prayers go out to Dane and all of his family and friends. Dane was a wonderful young man that I had the opportunity to know. I know personally that he had amazing parents that are the best possible role models for any kid to emulate. The bible states, "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life." (Revelation 2:10) Dane, I know that you are wearing your heavenly crown. You are now and forever will be a hero worthy of a crown. God Bless You!!!

Carla and Family,
I am deeply saddened by your loss. I remember Dane as a fine young man that I know you loved so dearly and are so proud of. I hope you find peace and acceptance in your heart. This is a horrific experience, be strong and forgiving.
