On this July 4th, I wish to send my sincere prayers to Dane's memory, and blessings to his family.
This past May, I met Dane's mom in passing at a TAPS memorial event in Virginia. I was deeply touched by our brief meeting. Because she looked so young, I was taken aback when she informed me that she was attending for her son.
I will never forget Dale Balcon, or that moment.
