Dear mom dad brother and sister. We are so sorry that Dan has left your home to be with God. He was a dear friend to our son Celi Pitt USMC and we had the honor of spending time with him throughout their years at the USNA etc. May God give you courage faith and peace to go on. You and Dan are in our hearts and prayers. Candles are burning and prayers were said for you and Dan in church not only this morning at Mass but also since we heard the tragic news. God Bless. I didn't know Daniel, or his family. But I have a 16 yr old son. I thank your son for everything he did,and gave for our county and our freedom. I hope his family finds some peace in knowing what he is,a true Hero indeed.

I belong to our Lummi Veteran's Post # 33, I was also a teacher at Ferndale High School the year your son graduated, 2000. I taught Lummi Language and our Lummi student's knew your son. I welcomed thousands coming home from Vietnam both standing and fallen at McChord Air Force Base, we were still boys, America's finest.
I stood outdoor's yesterday in Bellingham, to welcome your son's return home, where he belongs.
