Staff Sgt. David R. Jones

he was a brave honorable man who i loved as well as the other seven.he gave me his name tape as we share the same name when i joined the unit, a giving and caring man who loved his country. i was there that night and secured the scene i will have you know we took very good care of him and the others as well as found the enemy responsible for this. i love him and the others and not a day goes by that i do not think of them and would not have any other way except them being with us god bless you and yours

Just a note to let David and his family know that I still think about you all often and still miss his laughter during our training. He was an inspiration to us all and I still miss him deeply. I meant to write this yesterday but was out of town and didn't get in till late. I will never forget this fine soldier, father, son, and husband. I hope the family is doing well. I will try to get to Augusta this weekend to visit his resting place. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all always and forever,
