It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude that I join you in mourning the loss of your loved one.
It is clear that Lt. Perez was an exceptionally gifted and brave soul and the nation has lost a tremendous asset. I will remember her courageous and bright light in my work and try to honor her memory in my endeavors. As she peacefully rests in God's arms; a grateful nation will celebrate her life and our blessings by exercising our right cast our votes....a right your beloved gave her life for us to enjoy.
