I met Jim in Baltimore some twenty plus years ago. While the encounter was brief, it was a memorable moment. He joked about my rather beat up car, and doubted my having any success with the ladies in lght of the vehicle. It was a pleasure meeting him. May he rest in peace, and my regards to his family. Richard Johnson, Jr. a fan of Jim and Henry.
Bibby, I remember the first time I met u at grandpas bar " Worlds famous stadium inn" and u sat down on the chair next to me and put ur hand on my shoulder it was like ur hand went from my back to chest! After that night u were my pitching idol! then when u threw baseball with me I thought I was the coolest person around! Grandpa still talks bout u to me like I knew u as good as he did! Lol I jus wanted to stop by and share my thoughts and let u no u made a huge impact on my life!
"Bibby" was my coach in 1996 in Lynchburg. He was a a bright and happy face in the world of baseball, which wasn't full of bright faces. I can hear his loud voice in the Lynchburg locker room now, trying to be tough, but inside he was a pushover. I remember his putting 8 baseballs in one hand, and none of us could do such a thing. God bless, RIP Bibby.

Jim was my pitching coach in Lynchburg in 1991 for the Lynchburg Red Sox. If it wasn't for his guidance I would have never had the baseball career I had. He was a true class act, leader, and mentor.
