I WHISPER YOUR NAME TO THE WIND.
=======================================
YOU HAVE GONE WITH THE WIND
SO FAR AWAY ACROSS THE BLUE
SKY;
YOU HAVE GONE WITH THE WIND
SO FAR AWAY ACROSS THE BLUE
SKY,
I WHISPER YOUR NAME TO THE
WIND;
I WHISPER YOUR NAME TO THE
WIND,
THE WIND CARRIES YOUR NAME
SO FAR AWAY ACROSS THE BLUE
SKY;
THERE'S A FIRE IN THE SKY
AS THE SOUND OF THUNDER AND
LIGHTNING ARE ROARING ACROSS
THE BLUE SKY,
THEN SUDDENLY FROM OUT OF NO
WHERE I HEAR YOUR SWEET
SOFTLY VOICE CALLING OUT TO
ME IN THE WIND;
AND IT BRINGS TEARS OF JOY TO
MY EYES TO HEAR YOUR SWEET
SOFTLY VOICE CALLING OUT TO ME
IN THE WIND.

What a wonderful man! It's so sad to see the end of these WWI vets. And we're losing so many WWII vets daily too. May God bless John Babcock and all the other men and women who, over the years have served our countries for our freedom, including those that are serving in the military now.
My sincere condolences for the passing of Mr. Babcock. It is a sad time for a family, to lose a loved one. It is a time of reflection for both nations, as we see great men of tremendous fortitude, who gallantly heeded the call of their land, in a time most cannot even comprehend, slowly ebb into history. I wrote to Mr. Babcock twice in recent months as I researched WW1 veterans. I was humbled as he returned my correspondence both times. I share these items with my young history students, and make sure they do not forget there was a First World War, and Canada, then as now, was shoulder to shoulder with our U.S. soldiers.
Thank you for your part in saving the world. Rest in peace.
