The Wells/Wright Family have my deepest heartfelt condolences for the loss of their Mother, Grandmother, Friend and the GREATEST Woman Country Music Singer of All Time.
I was just a little girl (around 4-5 years old) when I played my mom's 45 rpm record of 'How Far is Heaven'....I use to go around singing that song all the time.......For years as a young child, I thought the song had been written about me.....because at the age of 18 mos. old I, too, like the little girl in the song Ms. Kitty sang about, her lost her father in a tragic tractor accident.....Anyways.....is was my first recollection of Ms. Kitty Wells and I always loved and enjoyed all her Songs.....
She will be dearly missed, always remembered and her songs will live on and on until the end of time. God Bless Everyone in Ms. Kitty Wells Family. She is at home at last with her husband, Johnny and they are surely at peace, not in any pain, and singing to Heaven's congregation. Farewell Sweet Lady.
